"Wait," Inumuta gasps, leaning forward as he stares at the screen. More specifically, the radar.

"Everyone, I think things are about to get a whole lot worse!"

"What's wrong?" Gamagoori approaches, leaning over his friend's shoulder. Sanageyama walks over as well, and is soon joined by Aikurou and Tsumugu.

"Move, move! I wanna see!" Nonon wails, trying to squeeze past everyone.

Satsuki remains at the ship's highest point, watching everything unfold with a worried expression.

As everyone leans in, the screen shifts to display an image of the Naked Sun...and the unknown object heading their way, its trajectory marked and the object itself nothing more than a question mark.

"What the hell is it?" Sanageyama asks.

"Nothing good. It's coming from Honnouji."

Satsuki's eyes widen at that.

"Begging your pardon," Yuuto calls from further along the deck, standing over the writhing Senketsu. "But should I weave a plan of some kind, or just leave him here? He's struggling an awful lot."

"Sorry to keep you waiting," the Kamui growls, his icy-blue eye snapping wide open again. The trembling stops and he wraps a sleeve around the boy's leg, making him go stock-still in fright.

"I need not adapt to your flawed stitching," the corrupted Kamui chuckles, "when I can simply override and destroy them from within. SHIPPU SENJIN!"

The transformation is sudden and the blast wave intense, knocking Yuuto into the air moments before a drill-like Senketsu collides with him, spinning ruthlessly and nearly ripping the boy's body apart before he simply bounces off of the Kamui. The battered Yuuto falls to the ground at Nonon's feet, and she falls to her knees.

"W-wheels?"

He does not respond, his eye closing slowly.

"Yuuto!"

Nonon begins to shake his shoulders, eyes wide with terror.

"YUUTO!"

High above, Senketsu shifts again into Shippu form, descending slowly until he hovers just a short distance above Ryuuko.

"HERE IT COMES! GET DOOOWN!" Aikurou cries, the entire crew bracing for impact as a furious meteor of blue soars through the air and slams ruthlessly into the deck, casting water up all along the side of the ship. Raging wind threatens to blow everyone over the side as dust and fragments of metal form a deadly cloud in the center of the great deck.

Blue light emanating from the cloud shifts to a dangerous red as bolts of electricity slam into the deck and even the water below, electrifying it.

"Junketsu?" Senketsu turns in place, his icy eye staring with interest.

Red eyes flash from within, and his own widens.

"No, you're not-!"

"I am me. I am who I am."

There is a sound of cloth slapping metal as the shape hops through the cloud, approaching.

"Ah? Yeah, I guess that's pretty good! Thanks, mom."

You finally break through and enter the light, your booty shorts slapping to a halt. You blink your fiery eyes a few times, and reach up to pat your scarf.

One that, oddly enough...looks just like a-

"Pompadour?!" Satsuki flies to her feet, astonished.

"AHH! You got it!"

"Ondori Anaru," Senketsu laughs, still hovering above his true target as she looks at him, then you, then back to him.

You point a sleeve at him accusingly, eyes narrowed.

"That's no name for a Kamui!"

"Kamui...Nekketsu?" Senketsu quips.

Silence all along the deck. The wind blows and your scarf-pomp gently flows.

Laughter, dark and frigid, fills that wind.

"Hahahahahahaha! Nekketsu?! What of it?"

And he turns to stare down at Ryuuko, eyes hungry and filled with evil.

"You've already lost. Now, Ryuuko...PUT ME ON!"

"S-Senketsu?!"

"Ryuuko," Satsuki cries, running down to reach her sister. "Back away! RYUUKO!"

"Too late," Senketsu yells gleefully, quickly throwing himself to Ryuuko and forcing himself upon her.

The explosion of energy, this time, actually does knock everyone off their feet, and the Elite Five themselves go tumbling into the water. Barely managing to hang on to a lifeline, Mikisugi Aikurou struggles to maintain his hold on Tsumugu's collar. Satsuki picks herself back up, clutching her head as violent blue energy threatens to tear the ship apart. Ryuuko, now wearing the corrupted Senketsu, turns to face her sister.

And her hair now radiates with an icy second color.

"Oi, catch."

She hefts the unconscious Yuuto up with a single hand and launches him at her sister, sending Satsuki back down onto the ground from the sudden weight.

"Stick around," Ryuuko chuckles, turning around and jumping off the bridge to face Nekketsu.

To face YOU.

"Wheeew," you whistle, admiring the new form. "Not bad! I wonder what I'll look like?"

"Probably won't live to find out," she giggles, reaching for her pouches and extending both halves of the Scissor.

"I'm about to show you," the Kamui growls, and Ryuuko lunges.

CLANG!

Her Scissor blades clash against Bakuzan, grinding against the metal as sparks shower.

"Satsuki!" You cry out, concerned as she stands between you and her sister. Despite everything, she smiles.

"Hey, you."

Your eyes get all bubbly.

"OUTTA MY WAY!" Ryuuko cries, breaking their deadlock and knocking Satsuki back with a kick.

Your fiance slides against the deck, but her feet remain firmly planted and Bakuzan still gleams as she guards with it, stuck on the defensive.

"Senketsu," you continue, hopping closer to Satsuki. "You once told me, told Tsumugu even, that everything you did and would ever do was for Ryuuko. Do you honestly think that wearing her like that is helping her? Protecting her?"

Ryuuko's approach stops, and she struggles to keep moving.

"AAH? What are you doing, Senketsu?! We have to...urgh..."

She scowls down at you as Senketsu holds her in place, also looking at you.

That one eye, perfectly trained on your own.

"I'm sorry I let you walk into Honnouji alone like that," you sigh, your scarf-pomp drooping a little. "But that's no reason to go on a rampage."

"This is for Ragyo, and nothing else."

"What has she ever done for you?! For anyone, other than hurt them and fill them with fear? Is that what you really want? Is that who you really are?"

Your pomp fluffs back up as your eyes burn into his own, sleeves crossed like you would your arms.

"Fresh Blood. I'd say your blood has gone cold, and your eyes dark."

"You don't know anything! This world-"

"Will be enveloped by the Genesis of the Cocoon Planet."

His eye widens.

"I know everything. I have spoken to the Primordial Life Fiber."

"Impossible," the other Kamui stammers. You hope forward, beyond Satsuki's protective reach.

"Your mistake was in believing there was only one."

Senketsu and Ryuuko both look at you in surprise, even as you hop right over to them.

"You're scared, aren't you? Ragyo may have gotten her fingers into your stitching, but at your core, this is just another way of protecting Ryuuko. Isn't it?"

"Quit babbling," Ryuuko grumbles, still struggling to attack you as Senketsu holds her still. Listening to you.

"What are you protecting her from?"

"Oblivion," is his swift reply.

"I see."

You hop back over to Satsuki.

"Ryuuko," you call out as Senketsu releases her, her body stumbling forward from the sudden release. "What are you going to do?"

"Cut you into shreds, and then move on to that arrogant older sister of mine!"

"Why?" Satsuki narrows her eyes, bending down to take your sleeve in her hand. "What will any of this gain you?!"

"You're mom's enemy," Ryuuko smiles sickeningly, leveling the Scissor Blades. "That's all there is to it! If you won't be worn, then you'll die here and now."

"So be it," Satsuki sighs, lifting you into her arms. Looking over your shoulder, her eyes meet with Ryuuko's.

"Go ahead," the younger sister mocks, cracking her neck and lowering her arms. Lowering her guard. "Go ahead, unite. That's what you're here to do, nah? 'Aniki.' "

"Will this work?" Satsuki breaths, apparently rather taken by your brand-new-clothing smell.

"Only one way to find out," you grin, nuzzling into her chest. "I'll try not to take too much blood."

"Don't worry about that," she chuckles, nuzzling you right back. "My blood is yours."

"And mine, yours."

"Hurry up and put him on already," Ryuuko groans, leaning back lazily. "Before I kill you both and get it over with."

"Ready?" You ask. Satsuki nods, taking a deep breath.

"Moment of truth," your mother's voice whispers.

Slowly, Satsuki removes her Nudist Beach gear and puts you on, both halves individually.

At last, she slips you on. And it truly feels strange, being worn.

But that's not even half of it, yet. Not by a longshot.

"No more blood is needed," your mother's voice assures, and Satsuki's eyes go wide.

"Who-?!"

"Eeehh?! So she can hear me now? How cool!"

"Mom, please don't embarrass me," your voice echoes, your eyes rolling with exasperation.

"MOM?!" Satsuki tugs on your scarf like crazy, eyes wide with confusion. The corrupted Ryuuko and Senketsu both sweatdrop as they watch your antics, reaching up to gently slap her hand away.

"Oi, easy on the hair."

"You don't have hair!" Satsuki sighs.

"Does so," Kinue giggles, and Satsuki puts her head in her hands.

"I'm going to go insane," she moans through splayed fingers.

"I'll just give you the quick explanation," Kinue's voice says. "I'm Anaru's mother, former-scientist-turned-Life-Fiber. You must be Satsuki? I certainly hope you've been taking care of my baby boy."

"Moo-oooooom," you moan, eyes shut tight with embarrassment. Unknowingly, your desire to crawl into a hole and die has you inadvertently tightening every aspect of your form, which in turn tightens...certain aspects of Satsuki's.

And she blushes furiously, rubbing her legs together as she slaps her chest, hoping to hit your face somewhere along the way.

"C-cut that out!" She wails.

"Alright, enough of this crap," Ryuuko growls, swinging the Scissor halves down and dragging them along the deck, sparks and flame erupting behind her as she charges toward you.

"Now!" Your mother's voice cries, bringing you and Satsuki both back into the battle. "Do it now!"

"I...I don't..." Satsuki's eyes go wide, panic settling.

"You know the command," Kinue reassures, keeping calm as Ryuuko approaches rapidly. "You know what to say, now say it!"

"Jin'i...ITTAI!" Satsuki yells, hand flying to the pocket on your jacket and throwing a pair of shades on her face. "KAMUI NEKKETSU!"

Fibers explode outward as Satsuki, all of Satsuki, is laid bare to brace for your power. Hair flailing wildly, she closes her eyes as flames surround her levitating form. Ryuuko and Senketsu are knocked back by the sheer power of your first transformation, watching with stunned eyes as Satsuki and you become one.

Her eyes flit open as an indistinct shape rises behind her, ultimately revealing itself as a blazing phoenix...the embodiment of your will. With a terrifying screech it throws its wings open and quickly envelops her body, losing shape as Fibers wrap around and tighten you both, binding you together.

Satsuki closes her eyes again as your true form takes shape, manifesting first as chest armor, banded together. The armor tightens, pronouncing some underboob. Then a pair of thigh-high boots and booty shorts, also tightening, shining bright. Then handguards and pauldrons, gleaming teeth popping into place.

Your scarf flows behind her as Satsuki opens her eyes, unphased as the blaze behind her singes and burns away her hair, leaving it short.

And rather than placed on the body, your eyes open above and behind her.

"Life Fiber Synchronize: Kamui Nekketsu."

Ryuuko smiles wickedly as you and Satsuki descend.

"Let's relocate," Satsuki offers, gesturing to the water over to the side. "I won't have you hurting anyone else here."

"Fair enough," Ryuuko snarls, approaching the side of the ship as you and Satsuki mirror her movement. "They're all going to die in the end."

"And we will go on," Senketsu adds.

"Well, you're right about one thing," you interject, blinking down at them. "You will go on...but not the way you are now!"

Ryuuko and Satsuki leap from the Naked Sun and land on the water, the force of their combined spirit tossing a geyser of seawater high into the air.

"Satsuki?" You look down at her, concerned. She smiles.

"Powerful."

"Come again?"

Satsuki hugs herself and, by proxy, hugs you. "You feel so much more powerful than Junketsu."

"Aw, stop it. You're making me blush."

Fun time is over as Ryuuko tenses up, Scissor halves at the ready.

"HEY, CATCH!"

A keening sound on the air and your pupils dilate. You know that sound. And, reaching up, Satsuki effortlessly catches the Muramasa as it spins through the air.

Over on the Naked Sun, and still dripping wet from being knocked over the edge, Fate waves an angry fist.

"Kick his ass, save your sister, and throw away all the honorable crap! Do it dirty and underhanded, no-holds-barred, the way my old man would!"

"Strangely charitable of you," Satsuki smirks, attaching the Muramasa to her hip to match the Bakuzan at her left side. "Well, Nekketsu...how should we play this?"

While we're much more powerful now, I still think Ryuuko and Senketsu are still slightly more powerful, I doubt we'll be able to outright overpower them.

Honestly, I really doubt Ryuuko and Bakemonoketsu are fully synchronized.

They're strong, but at this point, it should be weaker than usual. Sandcats is stuck in his own little world and Ryuuko is infected by Ragyo's brainwashing by proxy of being with Senketsu.

Satsuki with Nekketsu should be stronger than them at this point, at least.

Satsuki walks on water, stepping backwards carefully as she keeps her eyes trained on Ryuuko. Ryuuko thankfully takes the bait, moving forward.

"We'll do it Fate's way," you silently communicate with her. "That should be the last thing they expect, and when the opportunity presents itself...we separate them. Forcefully, if necessary."

"I understand. Lend me your power, Nekketsu."

If you could, you would smile. "I intend to."

Ryuuko kicks forward, casting water away from her feet and immediately soaring towards Satsuki. Both Scissor halves come swinging down and Satsuki immediately swings the Secret Swords up from their sheathes, blocking the attack.

Her retaliation is swift, a vicious headbutt punctuated by her lowering herself and driving both hilts into Ryuuko's stomach. The younger sister dry heaves from the strike and is left defenseless as Satsuki twists into a kick, driving a plated foot right into her head.

Ryuuko bounces along the water and slides to a watery stop, rising up and looking all around.

Nowhere to be found.

The water is completely still, save for the ripples coming from her own stance.

"Where are you?" She growls, Senketsu's eye scanning the area with fervor.

Bubbles.

Satsuki explodes out of the water and slams her fist into Ryuuko's chin, and the poor girl goes soaring.

Skidding backwards along the water, she rages.

"DECAPITATION MODE!"

Casting both individual blades back, they extend into their vicious full potential.

"Senketsu Shippu!"

And they take to the skies.

"I don't think so."

Your voice is powerful and sends surprise into the two, and even Satsuki's eyes widen as you shift and alter your form.

"Nekketsu...Kamikaze."

"Divine Wind?!" Ryuuko cries out, hesitating in her falling strike as the new afterburners on Satsuki's hands and feet propel her with terrifying speed up to her enemy.

Secret Swords collide with Scissor Swords in a tremendous display of power, and Satsuki disappears again.

"Satsuki-sama has a new Kamui?!" Sanageyama shouts, water dripping from his body as he approaches the edge of the ship with everyone else.

"It's Ondori-kun," Aikurou says in disbelief, his arms limp as Tsumugu's tremble.

"Consumed by clothing," the man growls, eyes narrowed.

"Maybe, but even if that is the case, he is currently helping her. Lending her power. And right now, those two are the only ones who can stand against Senketsu in his present state!" Inumuta cries, and Iori is not far behind, also leaning over.

"Still! To think that he has developed an additional form!"

"Truly," the two of them yell together, "this is the evolutionary power of Life Fibers!!"

Together you and Satsuki soar through the sky, blades sheathed and merely lashing out with punches, kicks, and grapples. Ryuuko tries combining the Scissors and snipping away your life force, but Satsuki is already out of view again.

"How are you-?!"

"-so fast?"

Looking down, Ryuuko can see that Satsuki has a grip on one of her ankles.

And swings her down into the water below, causing a great tide.

Ryuuko rises again and Satsuki floats downward, resting on the very Scissor that she holds.

"You are not yourself, and that is why you cannot defeat us."

"Shut up!!"

Satsuki backflips away from the next swipe and lands on the water gracefully.

"Get in close!" Kinue's voice resounds. Satsuki tilts her head, and you narrow your eyes.

"The power I gave you, the power of Life Fiber Liberate...there's a chance that using it could free Senketsu from Ragyo's hold!"

"Maybe, but then again, maybe this is something he should do himself," you add.

"What do you mean?"

"I see it too, Nekketsu. He's hesitating," Satsuki adds, the ghost of a smile on her face.

"If we keep pushing their buttons and keep him open to discussion..."

"...then there's a chance he can overcome this himself," Satsuki completes.

"You two..." Kinue trails off.

"What I want is Ryuuko's safety, and Ragyo is the only one who can protect her. Protect us," Senketsu says simply, his warped tone unchanged. "What can you offer that she cannot?"

"A choice," Satsuki interjects. Senketsu blinks.

"You think what you're using now is real power? You're just using Ragyo's lies as your crutch, you're trying to escape your own fears! And instead you ran right into the monster's waiting mouth."

"Spare me your black-and-white," Senketsu scoffs, eye narrowing. "All that matters is survival."

"And your actions here are THREATENING her survival! If Ragyo wins, this entire planet will be reduced to nothing. EVERYONE WILL DIE! Even Ryuuko! Ragyo doesn't even intend to survive, herself!"

Senketsu's eye widens.

"The Genesis of the Cocoon Planet," you continue, voice trembling, "will destroy everything and everyone we hold dear. Not even Ragyo, the emissary who brought this upon us, will survive. Everything will be broken down into Life Fibers and fired deeper into the universe, perpetuating the cycle of pain and destruction! But you have the power to stop it!"

"Matoi Isshin," Yuuto cries from the side of the Naked Sun, leaning on Nonon, "created us for this purpose!"

Ryuuko and Senketsu, you and Satsuki...all four of you focus on him, now.

"My father," Yuuto shouts, eyes wild, "created us to save this world!"

Satsuki and Ryuuko's mouths fall open in shock.

"Matoi Isshin, Kiryuin Soichirou...the man who gave everything and sacrificed even himself for the sake of revenge, gave the world hope when he created you. You, Senketsu. Not me, or anyone else. You are the light of this world, mon ami!"

Senketsu's eye is wide and trembling, and that's when Tsumugu makes his move.

BANG!!!

The spent casing flips through the air as he fires the fabled starching round at Senketsu.

The bullet penetrates him and immediately Senketsu cries out, Ryuuko's entire body trembling with the force exerted upon him.

"What the hell is wrong with you?!" Ryuuko screams, eyes wild.

"SENKETSU!!!" You cry, immediately popping off of Satsuki and launching yourself with all your speed.

Ryuuko looks up with astonished eyes as you gleam and glow, hovering above them both.

"CLENCH THOSE LAPELS!" You roar, tapping the entry wound upon his form.

"Life Fiber...LIBERATE!"

You immediately unravel and enter the Kamui, your Fibers disappearing into him. Ryuuko screams with turmoil as you enter their shared consciousness.

Within that space, your body appears out of nowhere, rapidly descending down at Senketsu with a rolled sleeve.

And you slap him kinda hard with it, sending him flopping back a couple inches.

He melodramatically falls down and you pick him up by the collar (somehow) and slap him again. Without as much force, though, your sleeve just kinda taps him and stays there.

"Wake up," you say.

His eye blinks.

"Do you see?" You turn to look off to the side somewhere, and he follows your gaze.

There, suspended in midair by various Life Fibers, is Ryuuko's naked form. Her eyes are closed.

And she's crying.

"You feel it now, don't you?"

"...ahhhh. So that's how it was."

The icy hue of Senketsu's eye slowly transitions back to crimson as he remembers. Remembers everything.

"You and I," you say, looking down at him, "are friends until the end. Even if the world shatters, I'll be there to hold it all down with you! But if you ever make my little sister cry again, I'll slap your shit!"

Senketsu looks downcast, but you let him go. And you offer him a sleeve.

"Come on, hero. Time to wake up."

"Ahh. I've been asleep for too long."

The two of you chuckle as he wraps his sleeve around yours.

Crimson lighting explodes from Ryuuko's body as you are spat back out, over to Satsuki.

Swimming in the water, you and Satsuki begin to sink...before a pair of hands pulls you free.

An explosion of energy heralds the Shippu form, and the three of you quickly fly back to the Naked Sun with Ryuuko holding your sleeve and Satsuki's hand. She gently lowers you both to the deck where your crowd of friends immediately encircle you all, and Satsuki immediately tugs you into her arms and nuzzles you.

"S-stop, stop!" You cry out. These sleeves of yours are BURNING RED!...along with every other part of you. From embarrassment.

She just nuzzles deeper, even mumbling some affectionate sweet things. And then your mom starts "awww"ing in your head.

"I have seen the end, and it is nigh," you sigh with defeat, hanging limp as she continues to cuddle you. Everyone else is still sweatdropping as Ryuuko approaches, and Satsuki suddenly stops.

She lowers you to the ground, and you immediately understand. She seems fairly unabashed by the fact that she is completely naked, which somewhat upsets you and you quickly hand her the coat she'd been using.

"Honestly," she chuckles, looking down at it. "I could simply wear you, Nekketsu."

"I like to hop around," you pout. She smiles and accepts the raincoat, giving you a grateful peck on the collar which gets you all red again.

"Satsuki," Ryuuko grumbles, staring exhausted at her older sister. Satsuki clears her throat and grows serious again, focusing all her attention on the tormented girl.

She smiles, and it catches Ryuuko off guard.

"I'm glad you're okay."

"Yeah...and I'm glad you're okay, too. But, even so..."

Satsuki blinks.

"...I let it get the better of me, that bitterness that's still inside. That small part of me that still can't accept everything that's happened to us, to me. To Senketsu. That stupid, stupid weakness..." She grits her teeth, eyes shut.

"I'm weak, too."

Ryuuko's eyes snap open.

"I let myself be consumed by my goals."

"Once and for all?" Satsuki raises an eyebrow. Ryuuko clenches her fist and tenses up, sending everyone the same message.

"...very well."

"Satsuki-sama!" All of the Elite Five shout.

"Everyone, please step away. This is how it must be, for better or worse. I will not deny her this."

It's difficult, and Gamagoori even has to be shoved by the other four of you to make room. The two of them stand there, staring at each other. Everyone watches with bated breath.

Ryuuko kicks off of the ground, rushing towards Satsuki.

"Ryuuko, wait!" Senketsu cries.

"ORRRAAAAAAA-!"

Satsuki remains motionless, and breathes deep.

"-WAAAAAAHHHH!" Ryuuko cries, tears streaming as she loosens her hand and slams into Satsuki with her arms around her, face buried deep in her older sister's shoulder.

"R-Ryuuko?!"

"I'm s-sorry," the younger sister sniffles, burying herself deeper into Satsuki's embrace.

"Ryuuko? Ryuuko, hold on, you're-!"

"Not letting go!"

Satsuki's eyes widen terrifically, and you can see that statement hit her like a ton of bricks.

"I'm never letting go again...n-nee..."

Satsuki bites her lip, tasting salt as the tears roll down.

"N-nee..." Ryuuko sniffs again. "NEE-CHAN!"

Satsuki's arms wrap around Ryuuko and hold her tighter than ever, and the two of them fall to their knees, holding each other desperately.

Everyone closes in again, and after a moment, the two of them pull away. Looking up at Yuuto and Nui, both of them fairly surprised. Satsuki and Ryuuko leave one arm around each other, opening the others.

Inviting the other two.

Yuuto grips his heart and bites his lip, and Nui's eyes go all bubbly.

The two sisters smile.

"We're a family," Satsuki laughs tearfully.

And the two of them fall as well, accepting the embrace and holding tight.

"We need time to relax," Satsuki sighs, helping her three siblings to their feet. "It won't do for us to rush into an unknown battle with no energy, no morale. We need what little time we have left to prepare, and that means more than simply drawing up battle plans."

"Precisely!" Aikurou agrees, giving a thumbs-up to the Nudists within the bridge, the command center. "We are, in fact, very near an island that is known for its natural beauty and popularity as a vacationing site! Once that anchor drops, everyone is free to relax or get wild as they please!"

You hop around idly as everyone gazes at the island ahead. You can barely contain your excitement, partly because being a Kamui is so damn cool! It'll be a few moments before you actually reach the island, though. Everyone breaks out of ranks and goes about their business, and Satsuki takes her place at the top of the Naked Sun again. Looking down on you all, she smiles as Soroi prepares his teapot.

Ryuuko wanders off, talking to Senketsu and occasionally smiling.

The Elite Five, minus you, talk amongst themselves and occasionally threaten to kill one another like usual. So much tension.

Tsumugu and Aikurou stand on the edge of the ship, gazing out into the water.

Iori, however, casts you a sideways glance and pulls Inumuta away, over by one of the consoles where he begins to frantically tap away.

Kinue's voice trails off as she realizes.

"I know," you smile, "I noticed it, too. The others can hear me...probably because I was a human who became a Kamui, rather than being one from the very beginning? Actually, I'm equally surprised that nobody has questioned it yet."

"A lot's happened," Kinue mutters, more to herself than anything.

You bounce over and jump onto Tsumugu's back, thoroughly terrifying the poor man as he immediately goes into full-alert, spinning around.

"HEY!" He shouts.

"Stop struggling, JUST LET IT HAPPEN!"

"Get OFF me, Anaru!"

"Nekketsu!" You chomp down on his arm. "'y 'ame is 'ekkethu!"

Tsumugu shakes his arm as Aikurou chuckles, and you fall down to the deck. Tsumugu rubs his arm and glares down at you.

"Easy there, Uncle Badass. I didn't come to spar. I've got someone here who wants to talk to you."

"No no no no NO I DO NOT!" Kinue cries within your head, eliciting a chuckle.

Tsumugu narrows his eyes, then they pop wide open.

"...why can I hear you? You're a damn Kamui."

"As good of a question as that may be," you raise a sleeve inquisitively, "the better question is, who do you think might want to talk to you, other than me?"

Tsumugu scoffs. "Colleagues? A friend?"

Behind his back, Aikurou goofily crosses his hands in front of his face and repeatedly mouths, "No friends, no friends!"

Tsumugu turns around and Aikurou immediately stuffs his hands behind his back, whistling innocently.

"Take a knee, and calm your mohawk for two seconds," you request, extending a sleeve. Tsumugu grunts, rolls his eyes, and complies.

His hand gently but firmly grips your sleeve, and you close your eyes.

"Mom, go ahead," you encourage.

"...hey, Mugu-kun."

Tsumugu's eyes go wide.

Tsumugu bites his lip and for the first time ever, you see the ghost of a tear starting to bead in his eye. "Stop it."

"I'm alive, in a sense. I owe Lilith for that, and by extension, owe her for us being able to speak through my son. Remember Lilith? Doesn't seem to be keeping too well, these days."

Tsumugu rubs his eyes with his free arm, sniffling.

"Nui kinda...split her in half. And then she caught on fire, somehow," you chuckle nervously.

"She's fine, more or less. The Fibers that make up the shell are important, for certain, but the core is absolutely crucial. And the core is not in the lab at Honnouji. It's in YOU."

You and Tsumugu both gasp with shock.

"W-what do you mean?" You stammer.

"I'll answer both your question and Mugu-kun's unspoken one, with this. The night of my assassination, Lilith discovered I was in immediate danger and sought to preserve my will, my very self, within her. And when my body was unraveled...my Life Fibers were drawn into the core, where the concentration is highest. As long as the core exists, the Primordial Life Fiber exists. "What?" You blink.

You have no idea what she's talking about, but perhaps Ryuuko would. Later, of course. Right now, Tsumugu seems convinced. He cries.

Now it's your turn to laugh, surprising them both.

Tsumugu pulls his hand away, not wanting to intrude any further. When Mako approaches, begs something of him, and takes his hand, you're already light-years away from the scene.

"WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN WATCHING?" You scream, loud enough for everyone to hear. Satsuki slowly rises to her feet.

"What was that all about?" She hisses, blushing furiously.

"My mom lives inside my head and she watched us do it."

"WHAT?!" Satsuki's face almost emits steam, both hands flying to her face as she looks down at you with a look of absolute horror.

"I'm not lying! She just straight-up told me, right now! I want to crawl into a hole and die!"

"How do you think I feel?!"

"Honestly, you two. It's not that big of a deal," Kinue chuckles nervously.

"Kaa-san-?!" Satsuki begins, and then her hands fly to her mouth. Your eyes widen, and Kinue goes completely silent.

"..."

"Mom? Mom, are you there?"

"...hnnngh."

"Now is not the time," you grumble. "Please stop embarrassing us."

"I can't handle any more excitement," Satsuki sighs.

"WEEEEEE!" Mako cries, sliding down the front of the bridge.
