You put your ear to the door and listen in, you don't really hear much going happening on the other side but it does sound like she's awake.

Opening the door enthusiastically you come face to face with a surprised Keiko, who looks like she was about to open the door. You look her up and down and smile.

"Surprise...?" you manage to get out.

Keiko pushes you out of the way. "What's with that disappointed look?"

"No reason." you put your hands in your pockets you were kind of hoping she was still asleep. "Whose the late one now?" you change the subject, grinning.

"Track club." you say after swallowing your food.

Keiko nods. "You would seem pretty good at that kind of thing. Why didn't you join one of the athletic clubs?" she takes out her phone and quickly types in some notes, which gets a look from her dad.

"I told you no phones at the table." Keiko's dad frowns and puts his hands on his hips.

She sighs and puts it away. "Time at the table is time for the family, I know." Right then Keiko's mom comes into the kitchen, shoots you a glare and then gives her husband a kiss.

"And speaking of family.." you mumble and stand up. "Oh, Keiko we're going to be late for that thing we were going to do at school."

Keiko immediately gets the hint. "Oh right that thing." she stands up as well and grabs her bag. "See you guys later" she grabs your arm and pulls you out of the room, but not before you stick your tongue out at Keiko's mom while her dad isn't looking.

When outside you take a look at your phone. Its only 7:30. "Jeez we're still early!" you yell. It only takes about fifteen minutes to get to school. Keiko just walks past you. "That's normal for those of us that actually attend school stupid."

Since it's no longer relevant, I'll admit it; I kinda hoped we'd walk in on her changing. Alas, my perversion saw no fruits today.

Thinking Kazuko will probably be in the drama club room, you make your way over there.

Since the drama club isn't meeting today you thought that she won't be there, but since the door is open you take a peek to see who is inside.

When the pistol sounds you take off as fast as you could, like you can go easy at a time like this. Your explosive start however ends with you running out of stamina pretty early on. When you're finished you sit on the grass next to Yuki and Shiori.

Shiori glares at you and writes down some notes in her notebook. "That was disappointing, your classmates said you were good." Yuki frowns at her sister. "Takenaka probably isn't used to track, give her some time to warm up."

Well two can play that kind of game, this is the game you've been waiting for.

Losing isn't so bad though, you rest on the grass next to Yuki and Shiori again. Yuki gives you a wide smile. "Wow Takenaka I really didn't expect you to go neck and neck with her." she laughs. "Even I have a hard time beating her sometimes."
