You haven't seen Kazuko all day yesterday despite texting her most of the time, so you want to see how she's been doing. She's always so focused on drawing she probably didn't even notice you didn't hang out with her yesterday.

After stopping by a vending machine to get some green tea, you arrive at the small pathway that leads you to the old shrine. You see Kazuko sweeping leaves off of the steps while a large man with wild greyish red hair and an equally greyish red beard sitting at the top of the steps with traditional clothes on.

Yup, that's the old man you used to annoy when you were a kid.

As you come up to the shrine, he immediately recognizes you. "Gawahahaha! Kana-chan finally decided to visit again?" he gets up, dusts himself off and grabs you into a massive, bone crushing hug.

How does an old man get so freaking buff? "Ow ow. Your hugs haven't changed..."

"Grandpa let Takenaka go! You're crushing her." Kazuko goes red in the face as she scolds him.

And then there was a story where you fought an entire biker gang at the arcade, which is pretty blown up. It was two guys and they were trying to muscle in on your game credits.

Overall the main worry I have with the quest is we seem to get through the day slower and slower so things end up feeling rushed towards the end and it's feeling like we're missing out on the meat of things to be honest - like hanging out shooting shit and having fun tonight, or the actual club stuff except last thread. The StuCo thread went fine, but both the Swimming and Kendo clubs seemed like the actual club stuff was quickly glossed over since it was getting late when we got there.

Ah, it's more pacing. I checked the Swimming/Kendo threads and it's kinda worrying. Like, the Kendo thread, it took 7 hours exactly from OP to we actually arrived at the Kendo club, and 5 more hours until end of thread - which is a ridiculously long session by the way, kudos for that. But I expect you probably wouldn't want to run that long to get through the day, and 7 hours is a LOT to get to what is ostensibly the plot of the day. Took 5 1/2 hours for the StuCo thread.

I mean, I'm enjoying the quest either way, but if you want to keep to the one thread per day format, it might be an issue on busier days - counting the sleepover as today's club-substitute activity, it took 5 hours to get to the walking home part and only 3 hours 'til quest end from there. And 8 hours is honestly a very reasonable run-time, so that shouldn't be a huge issue. Part of it is that you just write a little slow for day/thread pacing. No offense - most QMs I follow are even slower actually, but they don't try to stick to such a demanding pace either.
