You stretch yourself within the dim room for a second before going straight for the 20 year old computer near you. Its dark however you were never one to waste electricity and you were certainly not opening any windows to give the sun a shot at burning your skin and retinas. With a slow hum your computer boots up, you quickly click on internet explorer as you begin your research into portal mages.
After 2 or so hours of searching (turns out that portal magic was not that popular of a specialization for most mages due its lack of combat ability) you find out some information from the few portal mages that both exist and are willing enough to release information without using a paywall.
After awhile of analyzing you come to some realizations.
You really really should not have chosen the portal mage... reason?

Portal mages main stats
Luck, Int and Magic resistance. You had never even heard of the stat magic resistance until now (since you presumed it was covered under int) and a bit of research shows that its a common stat most mages have unlocked.
agi seemed to be the dump stat for most portal mages as once you had learned moderate fast-combat portal, agi was worthless.
str had some disagreements between the different builds, of the three builds that you have seen.
One focused on producing permanent portals (he states str is worthless)
One focused on using portals as a side character (as transport) for his main and friends (he states that str is only worthwhile if you need the char to survive a bit extra until your main char arrives)
One used portals in combat combining it with strength (he states str is just as important as int and luck. He states that agi in the early game is alright but near useless once you arrive at moderate fast-combat portals)

The good part, your int was pretty decent, the bad part was that you had focused on agi somewhat when it was a dump stat... the worst part? Your luck which you still couldn't raise...

With the research on that done, you quickly begin googling about the "Carriers of the Hero's Will" organization. A surface search of google gets you nothing much however when you go on online IRC and on various image boards (e.g. 4chan) you get a much different answer.
Everyone who had met them had joined them (except for 1 or 2 who apparently did not meet the alignment requirements or a few who were already part of an opposing organization).
Whilst responses are mostly mixed and of pretty shit-tier information. You get enough information and with analyzing, you can tell the following facts.

After getting yourself a free coffee (least they could do what with how much you pay them). You decide that you might as well go socialise with the girl, you can understand the whole unluc- wait a fucking minute. You could remember that rich (and fake) voice anywhere, its that fucking GM bitch who wouldn't let you take a third option back at the Hero's Cave. Any aspect of pity you had for her disappears as you try your best to not laugh out loud. You slowly walk near her as she babbles on about the she-witch that had lost her, her job. About how she was evil, cruel, raped babies, you know the usual bullshit (okay maybe she didn't mention raping babies). The audience seems enraptured by her "sad" plight however you know within your heart that she got what she deserved.

You barely hold back the chuckle when she describes all the atrocities you did ingame which she had tried to stop before she was kicked out of her job due to being "too kind".

You get a feeling that it might be a bit fun to mess with her, you do have an hour after all.
