The question is: How/Why did Cole survive an encounter with Veteran Combat Idols? Was killing a child going too far for them? Did the employer want her? Did the Idols pity her and tried to take her in as one of their own?

Qctually, considering that this is an AI, and this isnt exactly captain's special program, we couls actually train most of the combat idols to be flight trained.

I don't really understand why people are turning down free training for an idol.

It's situational at best, but there's no actual downside to it. It's far more efficient to get training done right now than to waste another update in a weekly series to request training.

"Hah, well, let's see if my diagnostics are correct!" NEMO says as the Hornet's engines power up. The craft slowly lifts itself up into the air and it shoots off rather quickly.

"Oops, sorry if I startled you there!" NEMO says apologetically.

"Um... it's all right." You mumble.

The Hornet then begins to perform some basic maneuvers, mostly just circling around the office at varying altitudes. The craft ducks and weaves as NEMO puts it through its paces. However, you do have to admit that the view is pretty great.

"All right, everything is green and A-okay!" NEMO says cheerfully. "How did you like the ride?"

"It was a bit bumpy at first." You say. "but otherwise not bad. Better than Stig, that's for sure."

"Well, you shouldn't get too far ahead yourself. We still have to land!" NEMO points out.

"Oh... right." You gulp.

"And here we go!"

The Hornet then drops precipitously as its speeds for the landing pad.

"Um, NEMO?"

The Hornet still isn't slowing down.

"NEMO!" You cry.

Finally, at what seems like the last second, the Hornet flares and its engines fire up, slowing its descent to safer speeds as it settles on the pad.

"What was that all about?!" You gasp as you clamber out of the cockpit.

"Oh, I thought it would be a funny joke! Stig said you'd like it!" NEMO says, a bit confused.
