Alrighty then /tg/. As promised (a month ago) its is time for an upgrade. In this thread we will create Krackens' new alt and spend the experience points we have gained through the quest.

We're gonna start on the alt so I can include the proper mods for the list. Now while I know you guys already have a damn good idea of what you want I just want to point something out, and just so you know this is in no way me trying to criticize the choice, I actually like it and have come up with some fun (I think) plot and game stuff for it.

A big part of Transformers is the robots in disguise aspect. Being able to adopt forms allowing you to hide amongst others and infiltrate other races, civilizations and whatnot.

Our current alt is not very good for something like that, and a dragon alt will be even less so. As I've said, when re-skinning alts (like going from a Cybertronian hovercar to an Earth wheel based car) you don't change anything but the appearance, all stat changes, weapons and abilities remain the same. As a consequence our alts will only hide us if we are among equally horrific beings.

Like I said I'm okay with this, just letting ya'll know so that no one says we should scan a jet plane or something later on. We just won't be outfitted for something like that.

So! Since everyone seems set on dragon alt here are the base stats as already designed. We can change them, subtract from other stats and add those points to others, pick a weapon type, or discuss any other modifications you want.

Now I already know we're gonna change the hit to END to something else. Its up to you guys to decide. We can also ad mass shifting, which will ad an ER cost to transforming but will raise the stat increases without needing stat decreases.

For weapons we can either stick with the bit or go with some kind of ranged attack. Come up with some ideas and I'll stat 'em out.

Well, I think we all want firebreathing (laserbreathing?) in dragon form in addition to the bite. Would claw and tail attacks just be part of the bite attack?

I'm thinking of taking the weapon and 15pt stat package for 20 ER to transform into dragon form, since that would increase its speed.

We would probably have to increase DEX rather than STR for our primary combat stat if we did that, since it would apply to all three of our forms at full power.

It would yes. We'd still be one shoting mooks but against stronger threats it would be less affective.

Flight and Agility both increase the distance you can cover in one turn, and are speed related. Dexterity would make us more maneuverable, increase parrying and accuracy with attacks.

Not gonna lie, the focused beam cannon gives me a bit of a stiffy.

My main concern is that this form seems incredibly ER hungry. It might be better to give up the 10 EN stat boost, just keeping agility, and increase our base DEX.

A question on this point - are we going to be able to replenish our ER as well as we have been, going forward? We're presumably off cybertron now.

I'd be ok with the form you posted if we're not going to be shafted due to bad ER recovery. In that case, I'd agree to drop the +dex and keep transformation cost down to 10ER.

Depends how fast paced the fight is. Taking pot shots from cover, gun-fu, or run and gunnin' is Dexterity or Agility. Careful, aimed ranged attacks can use Perception or Dexterity.

Also! If you guys really want a weapon without spending ER on the transformation you can purchase one with exp. It will be a little expensive though as body mounted weapon mod and the actual gun have their own costs.

List of mods and our current exp will be up soon, just double checking my numbers.

Sweet Primus is it hard to get size comparisons on transformers, have what I've managed to find so far.

Kracken would be one of the red guys in height, Gyro is yellow dude tall and Copper would be orange dude tall.

Skills cost 10 exp each point.

Attributes cost 5 exp each point.

The bahamut cannon would cost 20 exp if we buy it with exp.

Martial arts style to choose

Tahtib-tron- the art of using a pair of batons, each with a single effect like stun, burning, freezing and the like.

Gain batons with weapon effects.

Laser Lathi- the art of using a staff with energy blades on the tips. High defensive/offensive capabilities.

Gain a laser bladed staff

Metallikato- the art of the sword. High damage plus a single weapon effect.

Gain a sword with a weapon effect.

Circuit-Su- crazy spiritual wuxia shit. No weapons but abilities that use energon for funky shit.

Abilities-
Path of air- pay 5 ER to jump 3 times normal distance.

Path of Oil- Pay 5 ER to add 1 dice to agility or dexterity rolls.

Path of steel- Pay 5ER to add 1 dice to Endurance or Strength rolls

Path of Fire- Pay 5ER to add 10 damage to an attack

Path of smoke- pay 5ER to add 2 dice to stealth rolls.

Would iron stomach even have a use aside from weird energon? I mean we directly convert mass to power. I don't think it's worth it. Maybe we could get an energon adapter, protecting us from those specific effects automatically while allowing us short red energon like bursts by spending power.

Simple sensors gives a general image of the area around you, through walls and the like. No actual x-ray vision though. Advanced sensors gives an even clearer view. could have a drone provide remote viewing for long distance teleports.

I figure Kraken's robot form got a bit bigger to fit in the cannon and new alt mode pieces. Maybe get rid of the teeth on his shoulders now that he can sprout them everywhere. He can fire the cannon in robot mode by opening up his chest, exposing the red energon emitter array.

Ehr, scratch that.

Okay, so, what happens is the tentacles lock into place behind us, fusing into a single long tail. Our fins (and the carapace on our face surrounding said fins) slide backwards, and then large plates on either side emerge from our new tail to form wings. The end of the tail becomes our only exhaust for our energon converter, and that is how lift is done. Actual flight is not that different from how an eel moves through the air.

Fun part about this design is it lets us flip into an actual jet fairly easily, if we just tweak the wings and head a bit. We'd lose the bite, but nothing else.

In that case, I'd say keep the basic transformation for sharktopus, but the dragon transformation would have all our tentacles fuse into the tail, three sets of wings emerge along the back of our body, and our fins pop out and turn into claws. Going over your stuff has given me some ideas:

Dragon alt
-Legs gotta go somewhere, why not the tail?
-Have the tentacles kind of like, unfurl or split open and become wings. Also the fins from our shark mode could become the little back ones
-Wings could be used only for lift and we could swim through the air.
-Brass trident headpiece becomes less curved, straighter and more pointed like>>34682154 said.
-if you want tentacles to become the tail, have the arms move around to become the main wings and the legs move up to be the dragons' arms

Robot mode
-more pointed, sweeping helm
-more gauntlet-like hands
-no more teeth on shoulders (unless you snikt some bub)
-maybe have a set of folded wing become some tassets

From what I've been able to gather from the current aligned continuity

Cybertronian Birth (i.e. where sparklings come from)

There are two classifications for the origin of transformers- Forged and Cold-Constructed

Those who are Forged were birthed from Vector Sigma which creates a protoform and instills it with a Spark, a feral/childlike cybertronian who is taken by the Order of Adaptus and integrated into society.

Those who are Cold-Constructed have had a body built by Cybertronian scientists and are given a spark from either the Well of Allsparks or through Spark-Fission, an agonizing process where an individuals' spark is juiced up then split in two using the Autobot Matrix of Leadership(or the Creation Matrix as it was originally called).

Fists and feet slam into cold metal. You flail and thrash in the confines of the CR chamber. Eventually something gives. A creaking groan echos through the dark room as the tubular chamber in its middle is pryed open from the inside. Cryo-stasis fluid spills forth.

Frost crackles in your joints when you stand. Liquid ice sloughs off your hull.

You feel different.

The room you're in is dark, but you can still see. In a sense. You feel to area within your mind, a mental picture of its size and contents. There is a door ahead. Workbenches line the wall, shelves above them. They are litter with parts and tools. There are several computers, their power off but ready to be switched on. You feel the corridor outside, and rooms to your left and right. They are filled with tiny power sources.

Behind you is a thick wall. Above you is a stretch of power cabales and another room with many power sources, the room below is somewhat muted to you, but holds several large energy signatures.

You feel the power of the area is low. A slumbering, energy efficient level, ready to come alive.

You are alone.

Looking around you find a group of switches next to the door. You flick the one that seems connected to the rest of the room and pale white lights come on.

You notice your hand on the switch. More heavily armoured then before, it feels almost alien to you. Flexing your servos you see several serrated teeth pop out of your knuckles, along the back of your hand and the edge of your palm.

Shocked you recoil, and so do the teeth. There is no hint of them having ever been there.

You glare about the room.

Circling the room you rummage through the parts on the benches. You find scraps of hull, some freshly made, others that seem to have been taken from you. There are masses of burned-out circuitry everywhere.

You find arc-welders, energon scalpels and buzzsaws.

Turning on a computer, gingerly so as not to activate those new hidden blades, you find schematics for you. You find that your entire body has been rebuilt, nearly from scratch.

There are also some interesting upgrades.

Taking a moment you lift your hand, palm up. Focusing for a moment you feel a tingling surge. Opening your optics you see a tiny ball of energy resting in your hand.

Well, haven't been able to do that for a few thousand years.

Activating another computer you find it to be a general access terminal for the area. Checking its data you discover you are on Research Station Kaamos, a space born facility for the study of exotic materials.

Further searching shows that you are in section three, level six. There are two other section on this level, and eight levels in all.

Grumbling you search for a map. It shows that the eastern hanger is on level four, section one. You turn off the computer and head out.

Traveling down the sterile white corridor is disorienting at first. A mental image of the way ahead overlays your senses. As you go lights come on in the sections you pass through.

Reaching the elevator you press the button to summon it when the power cuts out.

A dull crump can be heard from above, along with the a bright energy surge. An explosion, you guess.

Activating your comm you call out in hopes of reaching someone you know.

A crackle comes across then, "Get off this channel." an angry voice says.

Grumbling you examine the area above you.

There are two rooms. One is lined with what seems like lockers, all empty. The other has a faint energy signature.

Your sensors pick up nothing in the general area. A few more room line this corridor, which branches off into to other paths.

Once inside you find a computer terminal against a wall dominated by a large glass window. The room beyond is dark.

Leaving one last comment on the other 'Bots' suspected construction you turn your comm off.

The terminal before you is broad and covered in buttons and levers. You pull a large one on its top right and lights dances across it.

The room through the window also lights up.

Inside is Senator Proteus. Half of him, at least. You recognize him from news feeds.

His upper torso is perched on a pedestal, arms and head hanging limp. You can see wires coming from the back of his head.

A small array comes from the top of the terminal and begins scanning your upper torso.
Across from you, Proteus straightens up, then adopts your posture and shocked grimace.

"What in the pit..." You ask and the Proteus puppet mimics you in a haughty voice.

You glare at the Senator in disgust, he mimics it.

You both blink.

A moment later you are lightly jogging through the hall, leaving that horrible sight behind.

You manage to find a staircase and begin to ascend when you detect a large energy source moving a couple levels above you. It is moving away from your position though, so you ignore it for now.

Shiny white stair lead to another pristine corridor lined with closed rooms. You creep through, passing door after closed door. Faint energy traces dance around. Then you detect several large ones to your right.

Creeping up you come to a closed door. The plaque next to it says 'Communications'.

You can hear faint voices on the other side and detect two individuals. One is large, as big as you and packing some serious weapon. The other is a little shorter, thinner and carrying less firepower.

As his weapon raises you grab his wrist and force it to go straight up. You fire at the ceiling, the energy blast punching a neat hole in it.

Getting a better look at him you see his left shoulder is red and he has some large altmode parts on his back.

You attempt to force his arm behind him, but he seems to be better trained than most. Sweeping your legs out from under you he transforms. A large, tow headed dragon now straddles you.

His twin mouths snap in your face.

Then a foot connects with them, knocking them together with a loud bang.

Looking over to your side you see a lithe form standing in the doorway.

"Gyro?" You gasp.

More heavily armour than she was last time you saw her, but just as angry, Gyro glares at the both of you and puts her hands on her hips.

"I thought that sounded like you. Still getting glitching when the fun starts I see." She says.
