Before I have to listen to that accursed song any more than I already have, I hit my phone in order to shut it up. I start to doze off again, but then the alarm goes off again and the shock from having to listen to that crap twice is enough to completely wake me up.

Mina's the one who first suggested to me to use a song I hate as my phone alarm... I have to admit, it works pretty well. But still, I didn't get very much sleep at all because... reasons, and I can feel my stupid eyes burning and I really just want to go back to sleep.

Regardless of how much I'd rather go back to sleep, I do have responsibilities and stuff. Plus, I have a date later today... yeah, that's plenty of reason to get out of bed right there. And so, I grab my glasses off of my nightstand and put them on, then force myself out of the bed.

I stick around for a little while in hopes that Theresa will decide to come back, but of course she doesn't. Having given up on that, I head to homeroom and am once again reminded that Mina isn't here to take my mind off of what just happened.

I feel terrible.

The rest of the school day's just a slow grind. I mean, it's always super boring when Mina's not around but today's drama just exacerbated things and... ugh. All of today's classes were extra suck, eating lunch all my myself is really lonely, and it looks like Theresa left the school building outright after this morning's bad news since I don't spot her in any of the classes that we have together.

But I somehow trudge through it and manage to get to the end of the day without spiraling into depression. This is the light at the end of the tunnel.

When I finally make it into the hotel itself, I do my best impression of the eyepatch guy from Mina's games in order to avoid running into that one annoying clerk guy. And so, I try and remain inconspicuous by hugging the walls and mixing into the small groups of people that I see along the way. And much to my relief, I make it to the elevator undetected! My sneaking mission was a success!

With the hard part out of the way, I pull out my keycard and use it to select the top floor of the hotel, then press the button and relax.

I always forget how long the ride up takes... I can't even begin to imagine how awful it would be to have to come all the way up here using the stairs.

Once I'm out of the elevator, I head straight for Charlotte's door, slide in my keycard, and walk inside.
