“The blood,” you say, pointing to the left, “Karasuba and blood are like water and wetness.”

Your two friends nod with you as you take off running down the hall in the direction you indicated. As you go, you see more signs of Karasuba’s passing, blood pooled on the florr, sliced open bodies and lots of bullets-holes and casings the likely did nothing to hinder her passage. It gets worse as you go, causing you to nearly gag from the overwhelming bloody smell. Akitsu doesn’t appear bothered by it, but Tatsuko does, clearly glancing up at you for reassurance.

Finally you reach what appears to be an entrance to the surface. Dashing out into the bright sun, you’re treated to a sight you sincerely hope you never see again. Dozens upon dozens of soldiers are piled up on the ground, forming literal mounds of bodies even as blood continues to leak from them. Karasuba is in front of the pile, slicing through the last half dozen or so men you see standing, most of whom were simply trying to run away.

“Ah Yume-chan,” she says, turning as the last of them fall, “You’re…you’re not Yume chan.” She grins at you, “But it looks like you may be more fun than all of these boring people.”

She takes a step forward, slinging her sword to the side to get some blood off of it.

“Let’s fight.” She darts towards you, bloodlust on her face.

“Mmm,” she grins at you, “It’s been so long since I’ve had a good fight, I might keep a souvenir from you.”

As some math behind it,

The chance of rolling a one would be 1 in 1000000 rolls, because you would need a 1 in every roll.
Meanwhile, the chance of rolling a 100 is the highest of them all, as each dice is 1/100, and you get three tries. 3/100 chance.
The values then decrease ranging from 3/100 to 1/1000000 for any given roll. I dont know exactly the average, as I am not a statistics major, but that is just the way it is. Rolling high is several times more likely than rolling low.

Thats also why I have always used a Median of the first three for my quests, rather than the highest. It allows for some interesting situations aside from always succeeding. Also, it makes it easier to pick a DC for the challenge, as you dont have to take into account this new average, the average is still just 50.

To clear up something that might be a confusing point,

100 is the most likely value to be the result of the rolls. This doesnt mean that 100 is likely, or that 100 is more likely than a range of numbers (Say 15-40 or something, I dont know the exact math, again). It just means that 100 is the most likely value, followed by 99 then 98, and so on in descending order until 1. It skews the numbers enough that having a low result (1-5) is nearly an impossibility, while having a high result (95-100) is actually decently likely. Probably like 25% maybe? Again, no exact math.

Karasuba simply grins at you, her face near ecstatic as she charges you once more, this time with her sword leading straight ahead. You smile back a little warily, watching her strike closely. Is it…yes, it’s just like from before.

So you charge her back, the two of you meeting with a massive clash of sound and dust.

You feel a blade bite into your side, the sharps steel cutting easily through skin and muscle, but it is far from the worst she’s ever done to you. Meanwhile you feel your sword punch through her entire body, nearly exactly where you hit her at the end of your last bout, right before her special attack.

She looks at you, then looks down at the sword protruding through her body. Something flashes in her eyes.

“Hey there…lover boy,” she coughs, her face right next to yours once again.

“Hey there,” you say to her, the tension in your face softening as you see her start to remember you.

“Getting stabbed in the stomach hurts ya know,” she says, grinning at you the whole time.

“Maybe if you’d stop trying to stab me first it wouldn’t happen so much,” you say back as she slouches onto your shoulder, your hands now supporting her.

“I don’t think so,” she says, “That wouldn’t be very much fun. This is better.” She looks up at you and then leans in, her lips touching yours for the fourth time. For the fourth time you see jet black wings shoot from her back and this time you hear her grunt as she pulls your sword out of her, the metal clattering to the ground as you feel her wound close up from the kiss.

Been thinking about enchants. The one we made for the witchball team is Agility-Defence-Speed. Our theoretical Iron Man version for personal use would add Strength, upping the complexity another notch and making it a 4-point variable enchantment. Strength isn't required for witchball because physical attacks in the air are all about mass*speed. But as a swordsman on the ground the benefits of superstrength are obvious. Having 4 points of enchantment also means we can overcharge one of them to 300% while still operating the other 3 at 33%.He's gone to plaid!

For our sword I have some ideas:

>Summoning enchantment so we can recall it to our hand if nearby
>Size/Shape changing ability in case we want a big sword to go full GUTZ on some hapless fools. This would also make carrying the sword easy because we can shrink it down.
