Unfortunately the HG Customize Campaign arm racks in tune with the ball jointed arms do not like to hold heavy weapons so it ended up as a pistol wielding dagger machine. Reminds me of the underside of a Horseshoe Crab for some reason.

I imagine it is a cockpit very cramped and very full of levers and switches akin to one of the first orbital capsules.
The Pilot would also probably need to be on ALL the speed in order to make it even moderately combat effective... or a lot of it could be done via AI assistance or the arms could just mirror the others with a slight input delay I guess.

That seems to pump everybody up.

Suddenly, Holly and Amy literally warp right in front of you, stars in their eyes.

"Wherewherewherewherewherewherewhere?!?!!" They squeal.

Wow, you guess they really loved theme parks.

"Ah, well, it shouldn't be too hard to find." You chuckle.

In fact, the hotel actually had a shuttle to take you straight there, as it was a popular tourist spot. It doesn't take more than fifteen minutes to reach the park, and in that time you catch up with you friends, telling them about all the people you met and stuff you did during the tournament.

Finally, you're let off the bus, and the first thing you see is the famous 1:1 statue of the original RX-78 gundam. You heard that they actually packed the thing up and moved it to the tournament grounds every year for the Gunpla Festival. You're quite boggled at how they manage to move something so huge across the city like that.

Immediately, Holly and Amy dash forward to start ogling and taking pictures of the statue while the others go over in a more relaxed pace. Meanwhile, you check the map for possible places to go.

You all line up. Fortunately, Holly just barely manages to meet the minimum height requirement, though some well timed whimpering and puppy eyes also help her convince the ride attendant to let her pass. After that, it's just a matter of negotiating the line, and hearing the narration about Operation Meteor that the ride was based on.

Of course, everybody is excited except for Karen, who continually has a look of nervousness on her face, though you each take turns trying to encourage her that things will be all right.

However, the moment of truth comes, and the roller coaster car, designed to look like the Wing Gundam in plane mode, rolls up while a bunch of pale faced people with both terrified and sick expressions stumble out.

"Well, that's encouraging." Karen mumbles.

"Ah, it's part of the fun!" Amy laughs and pushes Karen forward. "Come on!"

You all board the ride and it slowly takes off, making that long, arduous climb to the top. As you look down, you realize that this roller coaster was REALLY fucking high. Everybody seems anxious for the drop, except for Karen who's eyes remain shut.

And finally, the ride reaches the top of the drop, just teetering over the edge before plummeting to earth.

You head down to where the map says the Academy is located, near the front of the park. There, you can see long rows of tables with lots and lots of starter Gunpla kits, and quite a large number of people of varying ages sitting down crafting presumably their first Gunpla.

"Why are we here?" Charlotte asks. "We all know how to build Gunpla, you know."

"Shh!" You hiss and point.

And there, at the end, was the goddamn Meijin himself. However, he didn't look nearly as menacing as he did in the stadium, and you mostly attribute it to the fact that he was personally coaching a bunch of kids even younger than Holly on how to build Gunpla.
