After walking a short distances down a very well lit corridor, you stand before a large back doors. As you enter the doors, opening to reveal a long, black room. Each of the men enters, bows towards you and sit down around the table. Hououmaru moves to stand by your side, her oversized phone at the ready to take notes. Maybe you should give her one of those iPhones that are all the rage one of these days.

As one of the members was about to say something, you interrupt him, "So why have I been called to this meeting? I'm sure you fine gentlemen can handle the day to day workings of a fashion company, right?" sternly saying while glaring at the men. All but the youngest one bow their heads down.

You clap your hands loudly, "Silence!" A roll of thunder is heard in the distance. How fitting, you think to yourself.

The men all go quiet, turning to face you.

"It looks like I may have to discipline you, young man. I don't take matters like this lightly. Now, I'll give you a chance to explain yourself before deciding what to do with you." with a slight grin on your face.

The man shrugs, "I-I don't know what you m-mean! I-I did everything b-by the books, I-I don't know how a sp-"

He closes his mouth quickly.

A leak? In this company? This could end very badly if this information is made public, and this young boy has directly or indirectly weakened your plans by letting such information out. Maybe it's worth showing him and the others the price of incompetence within REVOCS. On the other hand, he is young. Maybe it was a one-off mistake?

Check out stuff like Bleach Quest (or the redux) or Eclipsed Moon Quest or even Sacred Jewel Quest to see how others handled anime quests while giving their players freedom. Are they the best quests ever run on /tg/? Far from it, but they gave their players the freedom of choice and changed the worlds to match accordingly.

If you try and railroad shit, you're a bad GM. Plain and simple. Same with table top. Same with questing.

Your players are in this world and they're in control of one of the most prominent characters. Think about how their actions will change and shape the world around them.

Add your own little twists and turns. Maybe some OC to keep things fresh. Do NOT force people along a set path with a few unimportant pitstops. That's not a quest, that's just fanfiction.

This is a game. Let people play and have fun yourself.

Peter Parker Quest before the retcon is probably a better example. Just think that would happen if characters did certain things. For instance, what if we somehow found out that Ryuuko was our daughter and we managed to get to talk to her. What would happen? Suppose we found out that Satsuki was planning to betray us; what would we do? Maybe Nudest Beach isn't just a joke and an unfulfilled promise like they were in the show.
When it comes to planning have a basic idea of what you want to do, but sort of go with the flow and adapt things as they happen. It's less like writing a book and more like doing a choose your own adventure. Plan too hard and you'll hate yourself because players will almost always go off those rails.

The problem with the KLK quests was not that the QMs forced the readers along a set path. The way the show's story is constructed forced them along it.

Ragyou wants to blow up the planet, and since you're not playing as her in the other quests, all you can do is side with her, or oppose her. Since Earth blowing up means a pretty shitty bad end, nobody chose the first.

This quest has the opportunity that others did not, simply because Ragyou is the PC.
