Sylvie's holding some kind of stick with a glowing sphere at the end of it, and Niklaus seems to be playing around with some kind of sheet of crystal growths?

"Miss Sylvie here's been helping me with this round of experiments," Niklaus replies. "I used the directional variant of the crystalline lifeform to make this sheet... though the experiment itself requires that live crystals not be used, they retain their effects even when deceased."
"What kind of effects?" you ask.
"He's trying to force magical energy to flow from one place to another," Sylvie replies. "It normally goes wherever it wants kind of like the air, but Mr. Niklaus made this thing and it's working... kinda."

"The flow itself isn't to the level that I'd hoped for, no, but the fact remains that the base idea WORKS!" Niklaus says, raising his hands to the heavens. "This is but the first step!"

Hey guys, Last thread I left early and someone posted something after that I'd like to reply to.

I wish to promise you guys and myself that I WILL finish that sculpture. The time frame was pushed a bit further away because I just ran into a few issues:
First, that was my first ever time with Sculpey,
Second I realized my skills were not what I thought was acceptable with for somebody else's character
Third, I didn't have an accurate reference for Mari to make it.
Fourth, It just didn't feel right as it seemed I was 'mooching' off of arch's fame. The original plan was either a one off fan art or a possible reward for the VN kickstarter to help arch out.

As such I have put her aside so I could go 'training montage' with my own work first so as I could stand on my own two feet and properly offer a Mari sculpture.

It will happen. Maybe not for a while, but I WILL finish it.

Sylvie looks kind of concerned about his sudden monologue, and you can't really blame her.

"Anyways, Reinhard, this leg of my research involves manipulating the direction in which magical energy flows," Niklaus explains, seemingly having become lucid again. "From there, I'll try and see if I can create a closed space that draws the ambient magical energy from outside the space's surface to inside it, thus creating a concentrated mass of magical energy."
