You make it back to the castle without much fanfare, nobody aside from the posted guards are there to greet you. After waiting for Sylvie to exit the carriage first, you gather up the large mass of presents that you bought and carefully step down yourself.

"Um..." Sylvie looks at you. "...what are you going to do with all that stuff?" she asks.
"Well I'm going to give them to the people that I bought them for, of course," you reply.
"I know that," Sylvie sighs. "I meant are you going to do that -right now-. That's a lot of stuff to be carrying around, but Nicolette usually gets off duty around now and I thought you were going to eat dinner with us like usual."

"Alright, I'm good to go," you say, turning to Sylvie. "Let's go get some food."
"Okay," Sylvie nods. "I know Nicolette's probably starving by now..."

And so, the two of you waste no time in heading downstairs to the kitchen. As always, you spot Nicolette waiting at her usual place outside the kitchen door...

"Oh hey Sylvie," Nicolette says, waving to her friend. "Reinhold was looking for you earlier, did you get to..."

And then she notices you walking behind her.

"...oh," Nicolette flashes a nervous smile. "Should've seen you there, huh."
"Maybe you're the one who needs glasses," you say, teasing your friend.
"Psh, I'll have you know that my vision is EXCELLENT," she says, proudly crossing her arms over her chest. "Unlike Bernard, there are no issues with my eyesight whatsoever."
"For now, anyways," Sylvie says, rolling her eyes.

Ignoring Sylvie's remark, Nicolette heads into the kitchen and takes a seat at her usual spot at the table. Not wanting to be left behind, you and Sylvie follow closely behind.

Sylvie and her sisters would be a thematic trio of cute animal characters.
Luciana would come disguised as a sheath and make faces at people getting the innuendo.
Rana would have a Kitsune costume just because.
Elena would give her "Red Meteor" costume a few enchantments to make it more awe-inspiring, only for people to flee in panic at the sight.

Once Margot's returned to the back room, you and Sylvie get right on devouring the feast that sits before you. Unlike when you're around Marianne or Luciana, you let your true gluttonous self break free and hastily strip the flesh right off the bone, leaving nothing but gristle in your wake.

"Hey Nicolette," you call out after finishing about half of your food, "how was your day?"
"Hmgh?" Nicolette looks up from her plate and turns to you, a full bone sticking out of her mouth. "Mostly disaster prevention shit," she replies once she swallows her food. "Just in case the Royal Guard ends up getting dispatched to take care of those LEviathans that've been spotted moving inland."

With that particular concern taken care of, you return your attention to the few turkey legs that have managed to escape you thus far. They don't last very long at all. After a particularly loud round of eating, the three of you stack your plates in the middle of the table and head out to the hallway.

"You know," you turn to Nicolette, "It's been a while since we sparred. How about we have a go now?"
"Sorry," Nicolette shrugs, "I already promised Melanie that I'd spend the evening with her."

Sylvie's giving Nicolette the exact same look that she does Racquel when she starts up her usual perverted comments.

"H- hey, I didn't mean like -that-!" Nicolette stammers. "If -that's- what I had planned, I sure as hell wouldn't announce it for the entire freaking world to hear!"
"Suuure," Sylvie rolls her eyes.

"Maybe he's been enchanted by your budding-" Racquel begins to say, but stops herself when she sees her sisters glaring at her.

Ignoring that remark, you reach into you bag and hand Racquel a book.

"Here you go," you say.
"Uh... thanks?" Racquel replies as he takes it from you.
"Eh?" Valerie darts her gaze between you and her little sister. "What was that about?"
"Well I promised Racquel that I'd get her something since she wasn't able to go into town with us, so..." you shrug.

"I got you something too," you say, reaching into your bag and pulling out a stuffed bunny.
"Wha..." she starts blushing.

Without a word, Valerie snatches the plushie out of your hand and pulls her sister along.

"Th... thanks!" Valerie stammers. "You're still a total jerk, but I guess you're not -quite- as bad as I thought."
