I really want to see Kagome boast to Fluffy as he lay bleeding or as she cuts into combat, about how in less than 200 years time demons are a distant memory, a cautionary tale told to children before they sleep.

Because something wiped them out, and mankind thrived and mastered the world.

But she can't yet, because she doesn't realize specifically that she's in the past.

Maybe, the QM threw a running gag of Kagome being secretly lewd into the first few threads, but once we hit the past, things got fun. The horror is fun, the romantic tension is progressing faster than the show, and we have a creepy fucking triangle going.

A wicked grin crosses your face as you flex your claws and ready yourself into a fighting stance. “Tell ya what, if you can take it, then it’s yours!” as the words escape your mouth, your brother has vanished and reappeared to your side in the air. His hand is held back and a green aura envelops it.

He might be fast, but you’ve been pouring your energy into your claws since the moment you saw him. Dropping your hand, you quickly rake it up with a yell as yellow energy erupts forth, slamming your brother into the air, breaking his armor and shredding the top of his kimono.

“KICK HIS ASS INUYASHA!”

Your brother manages to regain control in the air, but once again you’re ready for him. “Insolent welp!” A whiplike beam of yellow energy erupts from his finger and snaps hungrily at your feet which you easily dodge, but not before taking hold of the whip with your hands. It burns to the touch, but you give it a tug sending him speeding towards you. Cocking back your fist you swing, smashing into the side of his face and sending him tumbling down. God DAMN that felt good.

“LORD! MY LORD ARE YOU OK?!” shouts a small green demon, as he rushes to the side of your brother. “Leave me at once you pest.”

You can’t help but smile as you fold your arms inside of your coat. Laying your brother low like this has been something you’ve wanted to do since you first met.

“What’s th’ matter Sesshomaru? That all ya got?!” you taunt, feeling a massive surge of confidence course through you.

“You have improved quite a lot Inuyasha. Still I will not be denied my prize. I WILL have your eye and my birthright before the days end.”

Your brother stands up again and touches his hand to his chest. He pulls it away looking at his stained palm before his cold eyes lock back onto yours. Predictable.

He vanishes again and you simply raise your foot. You feel a great amount of pressure shoot down your leg as your brother reappears before you; both of his hands once again shining with an emerald energy. You take a moment to memorize his snarling red eyes and bared fangs as his weight throws the both of you off balance and toppling over one another and through the open door.

“Are ya gunna stand there or get him offa me?!” Kagome and the old man rush to your side and flip your injured and now unconscious brother off of you and help you to your feet.

Your foot’s a bit tender and hard to stand on, but you grin and bear the pain. You’re tougher than a minor sprain and there’s no way you’re going to let Kagome see you hobbling around again like some kind of charity case.

“Well… that was… unexpected.”

“What’da you mean by that?”

“Oh! Nothing! Nothing! Nothing at all!”

“You thought I was gunna lose DIDN’T YOU?!”

”Your words, not mine.”

“I CAN HEAR THAT YA KNOW!”

“Oh he is such a DOLL!” you look down half glad that Yura decided to interrupt your conversation with Kagome. Man she’s a handful. Both of them are… “OH OH OH! Can I keep him?! Can I?” the demoness begs, petting your brothers long hair, stars in her eyes.

“What? No!” Kagome promptly responds. Good, at least she doesn’t buddy up with everyone and everything she meets.

You cross your arms “What do I care? Do whatever.” You scoff. It will piss your brother off beyond imagination, but he deserves it. The bastard’s been following you around for who knows how long trying to steal your fathers gift to you AND he just tried to kill you. Screw him!

“Well… I… I guess? Just a little though!” adds Kagome. You really can’t figure her out. One minute she’s calm and collected and the next it seems like she’s losing it. Maybe you should take her to an exorcist or something.

A sting ripples across your face, bringing you back into focus. Yura stands there swishing a large lock of your brothers platinum white hair back and forth across your face, her hand clenched tightly around it. “It’s Soooooo much softer and fuller than yours doggie! Just look! It’s so soft and shiny!” She spins on the ball of her foot, one leg lifted and tucked behind her as she hugs it like a doll and you look away in disgust.

Quickly tiring of Yuras antics you fall back to the floor taking a seat near your brothers unconscious body and placing a hand under your chin, not really thinking about anything specifically, but trying to keep your excitement at besting your brother bottled up.

“Ok so now that we know the way to your dads tomb is in one of your eyes, now how do we get there?”

“What’s that?” Kagome’s always going on about something, but you have to admit you did kind of let that slip your mind. “Oh ya…”

“OH! OH! I know!” Yura shouts raising her hand as she goes for her blade before Kagome grabs her wrist and forces it back into her scabbard with a firm “No.”

Inuyasha sits up, resting cross legged with his hands on his knees and his eyes shut. He draws in a deep breath and opens his amber eyes, glancing over at his brother. “Ok, lets do this.” Jaken raises his lizard like hand to Inuyashas right eye “Ok, this may hurt a little…” and with that bolts of arcane energy leap from his finger tips and into Inuyashas eye before he falls back, clutching something in his hand as he looks around.

Jaken unfurls his hand and in the center of his palm is a single shiny black shear. “Did it work? I can’t see outta my eye any more!”

“I-indeed… Now to open the gateway…” The small demon places his staff over the pearl and one of the heads atop it emits a horrible laugh causing the imp to grin before slamming the end of the staff down onto the pearl. A loud bang like a gunshot echos through the small home and while Jaken is gone, in his place is what you could best describe as a black hole.

No sooner is it open than Inuyasha is through it, chasing after his brothers companion. You eye the strange unblob suspiciously as it contorts and rotates in the air. Nervously you gulp and stick your hand through before pulling it back out again. At least it’s not a real black hole… you swallow your courage and leap through, following you close behind is:

Kujo… Godamn it he is going to get himself killed one way or another, but you guess getting murdered in the underworld as you explore a tomb at least seems comically appropriate.

You fall or maybe soar through the twisting neither for what could have been hours or seconds before you’re roughly deposited onto the ground. Standing up with a groan you dust yourself off and spot Inuyasha perched on a rock looking impatient.

“Geeze would ya look at who finally decided ta drop in. Come on, yer wasten time!” He says as he stands up and grabs Jaken by the collar before leaping off.

“Well that’s just great!” you huff. So excited he just left you there all alone or maybe he thought you could somehow keep up. Luckily your eyesight’s better than his right now so keeping the red blob in your sights isn’t hard as you race through a mostly barren landscape of rock spires toward some large skeletal samurai monument in the distance; thick fog obscuring your view in some spots. Noticing Kujo running behind you, you realize that it’s daylight in “the underworld” or whatever this place is. It’s not nearly as spooky as you were expecting save for the few animated skeleton birds that seem to be watching you uncomfortably attentively.

You keep an eye on Inuyasha and through weaving in and out of the pillars he seems to be slowing down while you and Kujo are doing just fine. Odd considering he’s a demon with a lot more physical training that either of you.

He comes to a halt near the base of the large structure, panting as Jaken raps his staff against his head and pulls his hair from atop his shoulders, egging him on and into the black cavern of his fathers monument and tomb. A loud crunching highlights each of your footsteps and while you know what it is you attempt to push the thought as far from your mind as possible until light gives way to the trough.

Sitting plunged into a gold table among a sea of bone is a single very warn down and very beaten katana.

“This? THIS?! This is what my brother was after? THIS is my “Birthright?” It’s just a piece of junk! Look at it! I bet it can’t even cut wet paper! I’m gunna smash that Flea…”

“Don’t be so quick to judge Master Inuyasha.”

“Oh well look at who it is. Just how long have you been here?”

“I… managed to catch up with you just as you departed.”

“Well an’t that convenient. Ok then, what gives with this hunk of junk?”

Standing in the sunlight, Inuyasha wraps his hand around the hilt of blade and tugs, eliciting a small yelp from Jaken. As the area around the blade emits a beam of light that quickly dies. He tugs again and again, but it doesn’t budge. “Hey, what gives!”

“I… I’m not sure! The blade must have been meant for you! You were entrusted with your fathers tomb and thus his inheritance. Y-you should be able to pull it out without a Problem… or so I thought.”

“I knew it! Lord Sesshomaru is destined to wield the Tessaiga after all! He’ll be so pleased once I bring it to him!” As he reaches for it Jaken sqiftly pulls his hand back as energy crackles and lashes out at his hand, leaving it charred and smoldering.

“HA! Serves ya right! Well one of us has gotta be able ta pull the damn thing out right?”

After seeing the results from Jakens try you nervously approach the sword yourself and gingerly wrap your fingers around it and pull, moving the blade slightly before yanking your hand away. “What’s wrong? Are you ok?!”

“It… it burned me.” you say, rubbing your hand. It's not serious at least.

“Burned you? That’s weird… All this way fer nothen…”

“This is most troubling Lord Inuyasha. If you are unable to draw the sword, then I fear the worst, your brother m-“

“Hey now let’s not get too excited. I might as well give it a shot while we’re here.” Interrupts the merchant as he strides over to the blade, planting his feet far apart and grabbing the hilt with both hands. He pulls with all his weight, flinging himself backwards onto the floor, the blade in his hands. “…Well how about that…”
