Claire!

She turns at your call, and meets your gaze. You don't have to say anything, she knows what you need from that alone. As Diablos's manyfold clones begin to advance upon the audience, Claire intercepts him with a hail of bullets. Her movements seem like a dance as she dips low to pick up a civilian and turns to fire upon another of Diablos's clones. It doesn't look like the terrorist will have a chance to attack anyone like this, though Claire will take some time to rescue everyone.

Diablos crosses his...her...arms and chuckles.

"Good, good! That's what I like to see!"

Diablos should just shut the hell up. This fight won't be any different from the others.

"Oh, but it will," Diablos clicks her tongue and gestures towards one of the idols. Shit! You forgot about them! You look over to the group to see them huddled together in fear. They might be weak, but they're still Overed. That means they're going to remember all of this. A brunette at the forefront suddenly takes to her feet. Her movements are awkward, jerky, and her face is one of complete shock.

"For weaklings like this, all it takes is just a few drops of blood to control them. I wonder if they liked the punch...ha ha ha!"

The girl whimpers, and pleads for Diablos to stop, but with a small gesture her arms suddenly dislocate. They stretch and grow, coiling in on themselves until they come to a sharp point. Her flesh recedes and her arms have been completely replaced by long blades of bone. Tears in her eyes, she jumps at you, her blades flailing about, cutting up the scenery as she approaches.

Diablos jerks her thumb towards your companions, who are struggling with several other possessed idols. Angel in particular seems overwhelmed, her movements are slow and unresponsive. These are her friends, she must be torn about dealing with them.

"Well, then, shall I have you dispose of another few pests for me?"

You feel a chill run down your spine, and something slimy runs up your leg. Your feet are pulled out from beneath you and you're lifted high into the air. Another girl, in a particularly daring swimsuit you mentally add, is holding you aloft by her tongue. Another holds a large club made of ice in her hands. It grows and grows, until it is the size of a great oak. She swings it at you, screaming apologies all the way. You struggle, but you can't move without something to push against...!

Diablos appears before you, seemingly phasing into existence. Is she just that fast...or can she teleport now?

"Get ready!"

Diablos vanishes again, and you feel a pain in your kidney as she thrashes you with her tail. You turn, only to find a claw puncture your lung from behind. You drop to your knees, and Diablos is already in front of you. She licks your blood off her claws and smiles. All of her limbs lash out at you at once, in a whirling frenzy of death, you twist and turn the best you can to avoid an instantly lethal blow!

"Come on, Subject One! Come on! Give me more! More!"

Frustrated, Diablos pulls back her right arm, intent on breaking through your defenses, but it is too late. You seize the opportunity and smash her in the face. Your wrist feels like it is going to break under the force of your blow, and she slams into the floor, breaking through the wood and tile and burying herself into the concrete. Her body explodes into a shower of blood.

"Not bad, kid! You're starting to make me look like a joke."

"But," You turn to see the true Diablos just a few feet from the exit. Granshaw, Angel's producer and an Overed of some power, is in her claws. She laughs, "Looks like I win this round, kid! See you later!"

You blow past the others and kick open the door, giving chase to the swarm of birds that is carrying Granshaw off. Just as you get outside the flock scatters, and Granshaw is nowhere to be seen. You dash down the street, following his scent as best as you can, but eventually that goes cold. You find yourself in a dead end alley when the scent trail ends. You search the ground for some sort of clue, perhaps a hidden door or passage, but nothing of the sort pops up.

All you can find is a singular black feather, slick with blood. You pocket it for now, not sure how you could possibly use it.

After you return, you are pleased to learn that most of the girls have already recovered, and the audience will regain their senses shortly. Overed from the UGN are already repairing the damage, and it looks like things are going to be okay. Except for Granshaw, that is...
