Thick, grey clouds cloak the sky, obscuring the sun and bringing a great shadow over the wastes. No birds singing, no more sounds of children. Just the wind and several miles of lifeless barrens.
You haven't had a morning this perfect in years!

You are Victarian Mortas, formerly Chovan, Necrosavant and ruler of the Southern Wastes. Unfortunately, the Southern Wastes is a shit place to rule. You've got far grander plans, but it will take time and effort to see them through.

You've ransacked a village, experimented with children, created some abominations, and now taken a young protege under your wing to raise as your future heir. The little brat is quick to acclimate but slow to acquiesce. You'll win her over eventually, you're sure.

>TOTAL FORCES: 52 regular zombies, 2 abominations, 1 Necrowurm, 1 precocious apprentice.
>38 days' worth of food, now that the children have gone.
>Known Civs: Goblins, Nation of Sirren
>1 Brooding Tower, 1 Fortified Outpost, 1 Dark Dungeon

The day is young and possibilities are many. Reports have been coming in of warriors from Sirren patrolling the ridge near your conquered hamlet, and you know that those righteous twits aren't going to wait very much longer.

Rolled 41 (1d100)

Lacking thread and sewing supplies, you think it'd be good to try and research some other ways to craft flesh. That red potion gave you an idea, but you want to verify it...
You toil in your study for hours, poring over ancient tomes and forbidden manuscripts. Octavia sits in a chair and reads some book or another, probably one of those vampire novels. Is that what kids read? You don't know.
Finally, in the Infernal Compendium, you locate a passage about merging flesh by twisting together the muscle beneath. It makes for awkward shapes and flapping skin, but physical appearance is hardly among your concerns.

>You can now craft Abominations without thread, but roll 1d100-10 for success.

Exiting your library with Octavia in tow, you get another message - a scout's just been shot down approaching your outpost. You've got knight woes, yeah. But at least with your outpost you can keep an eye on them. You haven't heard anything about those boggarts in ages.

Gathering your two abominations, Octavia, and a dozen other ghouls, you head to parley with the goblin's chief, Ckakat. "Now, child, you will see how proper negotiations are done with the lesser beings."

(Rolling for how well diplomacy goes.)

I can't get into the other civ threads because they're too inflexible and have too much number crunching to keep the story going in an interesting direction. The rule of cool is the way to go I reckon.

Goblins scurry and skitter around your group as you approach the lair of Ckakat, parting in fear of the lurching abominations. You briefly regret not bringing your necrowurm, but it's busy on guard duty.

Standing in front of a simple wooden throne, adorned only by feathers and a plump, elderly goblin, you kneel and instruct Octavia to do the same.
"Your boggishness, Lord Ckakat of the Iron Hills. I come as ruler of the Southern Wastes, seeking to parley with you."

With a wave, Ckakat dismisses the various goblins around his seat. A pair of bugbears slump behind him, eyeing your group. So, the greenskin wants to try some intimidation of his own? Incorrigible, these things. You raise your head, offering a confident smile.
"We wish to negotiate an agreement with your esteemed clan, one that will hopefully bring prosperity to both parties."

>41/100

Ckakat frowns. "A snake's hide is pleasant indeed, but its teeth are sharp. Ckakat does not believe you have our 'prosperity' in mind. Say what you truly desire, or do not waste Ckakat's time."

As stubborn as they are unintelligent. This one will make a fine footstool in time. Your face does not betray your thoughts, however, and you spread your arms wide. "My desire, your boggishness, is peace! Conflict does not benefit anyone, and if we are on good terms than we can both work towards our own goals!'
The chief points his sceptre at your zombie slaves.
"Conflict benefits no one, hm? Conflict means death. And death is your goal, it fuels you. Give Ckakat reason that he should not have you all killed right now."

Well things could be going better. You'll need to convince Ckakat that you're not malevolent.

This diplomacy has gone unresolved long enough. You never were a patient dark lord.
You stand and step directly in front of Ckakat, giving him your most imposing expression.

"Leave Ckakat's presence at o-uuaaaagggh!!"
The goblin chief's statement is cut off as you hold his eyes. Black veins run down his face, thickening and twisting around his eyes and mouth. The flesh where it travels shakes and festers, skin melting off of muscle, muscle shriveling to leave only blackened bone behind. You withdraw your hand as the last of his face is rotted off the skull, Ckakat's corpse slumping over and falling out of his throne.

>11/100

The bugbears roar first, mostly out of confusion rather than rage. Alerted to the sudden demise of their chieftain, the goblins clamor and shout. Blades and torches are raised, and the warrens start to swarm with greenskins. Things are not looking good for you right now.

You turn to your retinue, and to Octavia. "RUN!"
Your protege barely needs to be told twice, hoofing it out of the chamber as fast as she can. You send your minions to stem the tide of angry goblins. You'll make sure that girl lives, even if it means your own life.

You are Octavia, son of Ederus and Horatia. You're currently running as fast as your legs will carry you from the throne chamber of Lord Ckakat, ex-chieftain of the Iron Hill goblins.
Victarian said often he was going to rule the known world. He couldn't even handle a minor tribe of greenskins.

You look back one last time, seeing the abominations bogged down by boggarts and swinging wide swaths of destruction. The regular peons have already fallen, cut to ribbons by a hundred tiny blades. Victarian slices his own blade through the ever-growing horde, trying to cut his way out. A large axe arcs through the air, and you hear a cracking of bones and the death cries of the Necrosavant as it cleaves into his shoulder.

You can't look, turning with red eyes to the forest ahead. That miserable old bastard kidnapped you, killed your family, everyone you knew, starved you, demeaned you... saved you. The midday sun is choked out by thick clouds, and the forest casts heavy shadows on your face. No goblins, at least. They didn't notice, or just didn't bother.
But you keep running, you have to keep running.

The trees wither and gnarl as you enter the wastes, and you can see the distant peak of the Brooding Tower far ahead in the distance. Several ghouls pass you, but they make no moves to stop you, or even think about where their master has gone to. These boneheads don't understand loyalty, they only understand power and those who have it.

You reach the tower, chest burning and skin shining with sweat after your run. Opening the door, you collapse into the meager cot in your room. Your eyes are puffy and cheeks wet, but you can't remember crying. Exhaustion overpowers all other thoughts, and you drift to sleep...

---------------------------------

The next morning is dreary, grey clouds still rolling across the sky. Clacking and groaning echoes in the bedroom, and you rise to see several dozen zombies standing around you, reaching down into the stairway. They look like they're awaiting orders? But you're not Victarian! He only kidnapped you a couple weeks ago, this is ridiculous!

The undead pay no interest to your complaints or your history. They are a race in need of a master. The only question is, what to do now?

Ya I don't think we can count solely on our necro powers for a while.

Stupid idea here, but could we go to Sirren as a "refugee" of a goblin raid and see if they would send a small force to wipe out the "rampaging" goblins?

That would give us a solid stockpile of corpses to reanimate and improve our powers on no matter how the battle pans out.

Also, what happens to our structures since we picked Ensorcelling? Do they fall apart? Do we get to choose a new Necro specialization when Octavia gets more powerful?

You've spent the last two weeks abused, neglected, and ordered around by a megalomaniac with a morbid obsession. But you're not angry about that. Not nearly as livid as you are about how damn STUPID that man had been! He had the chance to take the world for his own, and throws it away in a fit of impatience! He wanted to raise you to be like him, but that would have been an insult to your potential.

Victarian threw you into a world of darkness and confusion, and you won't let his greed and incompetence sentence you to the same end. This world is yours to claim, and you won't be making the same mistakes as he did.

These ghouls are weak, they won't follow orders unless they have a strong leader. And if that's going to be you, you need to look the part.

You find one of Victarian's rib-clad robes, dark black (as all of his outfits were) and with a strange, arcane symbol on the chest. Tearing off the excess portions - perhaps more torn than you'd like, you slip it one. Covering your lower half with a long grey cloth, you strap two leather pieces, adorned with bone chimes that jingle as you walk, across your legs, putting on your usual boots.

Two thick, blood-red pauldrons rest on your shoulders, covered slightly by a large neck piece interlaced with thick bones.
For the finishing touch, you find a shiny gold diadem, wearing it loose on your head and strapping your hair into a ponytail. Picking up your old master's staff, you once again greet the crowd.

>19/20

The clothes really do make a man. At your new visage, the ghouls bow their heads in deference, groaning some odd form of assent as you pass them. It's good to be a dark lord (dark lady? Whatever). But now you need to actually do something with these rotters.

>Research Necromancy and Dark Magic

Having a small force of ghouls is nice, but you know you won't get far at all if you don't have any way to make more or boost your power. Time to hit the books.

Ordering the zombies back to their old duties (6 guarding outpost, 4 on chef duty, 30 idling), you cloister yourself in Victarian's old study. A large pile of books, from beginner's guides to infernal casting to advanced treatises on Occult Resurrections, you've got yourself a modest store to learn from.

>90/100

The knowledge practically flows into you, your mind absorbing each vile passage with uncanny intuition. It's as though you were born to do this! After just an hour, you've run through three books and have the basics of raising dead and channeling the black magic of the obscene at your disposal!

Choose a type of necromancy (existing zombies will be unchanged):
>Ensorcelling - Raw magic holds your constructions together. It's the fastest to make new ones, but if anything damages you or alters your connection to the mana then your army will become vulnerable, or fall apart.
>Wakedancing - You're not just a necromancer, you're a necrodancer! Using the long-forgotten art of shamanistic rite and ancient dirges, you bring the dead to life. This method takes the longest, but zombies risen this way will be much harder to sever from your commands.
>Alchemy - Victarian probably has a few of those "New Life" tonics in his cellars. Zombies risen this way take an average amount of time, but the tonic can sometimes be unpredictable, resulting in mutations or unsuccessful attempts.

Choose a magical ability:
>Mortify - Kills any one target instantly, requires physical contact. Usable once a day, but never fails against any target.
>Entrance - Weave dark magic to tempt and enthrall those around you. Gives you a bonus to diplomacy and to convincing others to do what you want.
>Ghastly Presence - Conjure an image of the demonic during battle to instill fear in your foes.

I wonder what some of the highest level necromancers are capable of.
Can they make undead simply out of dead skin follicles lying everywhere?
>>
>>36764614
They don't have to since they're butchering villages every day. They can raise more powerful beings though, while controlling more numbers of undead in the tens of thousands.

>>36764614
More like they either create massive monstrosities out of hundreds of corpses or can zotz one guy and create 7-8 things that could wreck our current force.

What about getting powers from different concepts of death. Such as:
Decay -Death of the Body
Insanity -Death of the Mind
Despair -Death of the Soul
>>
>>36764721
Sounds like curses. Depends on the setting but necromancers often use sigils to curse their enemies. I'm not familiar with many examples except when reading a story of a priest-commander realizing 60% of her army was rotting from the inside after a battle last night with the undead, and purified them. There's also the psychic plague of undeath in the Warcraft universe.

Where exactly is the village we razed in relation to our swamp tower? Also how big is our swamp, where is Sirren and the Goblin settlement?

I'm just about to make a crude map to help us visualize our exploits a bit better, but I have no clue where everything is or what scale we have been operating on.

I'm also a complete scrub at photoshop, so it wont be anything too fantastic, but I've been interested in getting into map making for a while.
>>
You saw Victarian's works, you can see them even now. Weak husks held together with paltry magic. If this is the best he could do, you'll have to do better. The tome before you demonstrates the ritual of Wakedancing, an old art. Well, you were always light on your feet.

After a few hours learning the movements and practicing the art of the eldritch tango, you feel confident you could probably raise a few boners - er, skeletons, with these techniques.
But new servants won't help you in the world of the living. It was difficult enough for these mindless sacks to serve you, let alone adults!

You scan a text called "How to Win Thralls and Entrance People", and shortly discover that you can amplify your 'charisma' with some dark magic. Perfect, this should help if you ever try to do diplomacy better than that old fogey did.

You order a few zombies to keep watch along the tower, and head off to bed, mind and body invigorated by the vile magics your old teacher couldn't utilize.

And with that, I'm out. I'll probably return in about 2 hours.

You awaken to a new day, one full of possibilities that only last week you would never have dreamed of! The clouds overhead have thinned at last, and a little bit of sunlight trickles in through gaps in the light gray cover.
Well, you suppose the weather couldn't always be perfect. The thought briefly strikes you that you've never seen it rain here, despite the plentiful showers both in the north and southwest.

Your undead minions, those 30 that are still idle, stand outside the tower awaiting orders.

Yeah, I used phylactery as a generic name. I was thinking more along the lines of some kind of native resonance of the soul, like a ramshackle tuning of an object to Victarian's residual energies that could maybe steer Octavia towards the best choices via simple feelings. Then again, I'm probably overthinking this stuff.

If Victoria's was an ensorcelling necromancer, then why didn't his zombie army fall apart? I think it might be possible that he is still alive and we should try to take the goblins village as soon as possible.

You stop short as the wastes are overtaken by grass and sparse trees. Rolling hills, interspersed with great and ancient stone monoliths, spread throughout the western region. In the distance, you see some sort of town. Well, that's what you came out here for! Time to investigate!

Slinking behind a small grove of trees, you scout out the area. The town is small, with no walls or towers to speak of, and wooden houses fortified with stone spread wide from each other in the town 'center'. You see many humanoids walking the streets and moving about. Their tails and coarse fur inform you that this is a small tribe of sedentary leonin! They don't farm, being carnivorous hunters, so the surrounding area is untilled grassland. This place makes an easy target, and so close to your base too!

Rolled 98 (1d100)

You decide a sudden attack, while certainly taking them by surprise, is ill advised. This will be a victory of planning and attrition, not raw strikes and uncoordinated blitzkriegs like your predecessor tried.

You return to the tower, zombies in tow, and decide to formulate a plan. Something that will cripple these furballs and make your progressive conquest easier. Poring over tomes of ancient battles of the Lich-kings and their seditious tactics, you discover one of the oldest rotten tricks in the book - poisoning the well.

Of course, these things are carnivores so infected water won't be enough. They seem to enjoy catching and eating meat raw... without cleansing, a diseased animal will spread infection like wildfire.
You resolve to do this, posting sentries at the edge of the wastes as you move personally into their region to begin your slow but steady victory...

You slink into the savanna under cover of night, making your way through the monoliths and trees to the village's well, just half a mile out of town. It's unguarded, of course. These leonin are surprisingly naive for being so close to the wastes. Pouring the vial of liquid - enough to be potent without being detectable - into the well, you grin malevolently as it bubbles and mixes into the water.

Your first task done, you set about step two. The night is quiet, and a full moon illuminates your travels from behind thin clouds as you reach a small herd of gladebucks. They're asleep, standing up as they tend to do. Gladebucks are weird.
But leonin love them, so you hope that they'll be easy prey and set about your malicious task.

Reciting a memorized incantation, you wave a hand to the modest herd. A few shudder, a couple slump over, but they quickly rise and go back to insensate dreaming. There's no visible change among them, but if everything goes according to plan the curse they now carry will infect any who consume them. You just hope there are no wolves out here.

Your task complete, you spirit yourself back to camp, giddy thoughts of your newest plot whirring in your head as you sleep.

Rolled 58 (1d100)

Alright, wakedancing in the town it is. Rolling for how many out of the remaining civilians we can get.
>>
>>36761332
still catching up on prior thread... but I would like to point out that just one necromancer is not a civ, nor sustainable.
Basically, need two things:
1. conquered peoples - they reproduce, providing a replenishable supply of corpses to animate. And they produce goods and tech and services.
2. undead nobility - vampires, liches, etc. Can't rule alone. Gotta have a whole hirarchy. Preferably magically bound to obey you.

It is also best if the people are not unnecessary oppressed. Having elders "retire" into sapient undead and Shepard their descendants would be ideal. Patriarchs and matriarchs of families who have their descendents best interest at heart, converted at an old age. Incidentally, this also means our necromancer should produce some heirs of his own, and then become a lich king. And lines can be connected as well, by having arranged marriage for your descendents with those of the other liches
>>
>>36770837
Valid points, at the moment we are too small for any of them yet. We're working on getting living followers right now.
>>
>>36770837
Well the idea was definitely to raise an heir, become a lich, and gather a retinue or capable leaders to form a hierarchy.

You'll find out what happened to that whole plan when you've caught up on the reading.

Our empire is still in its very early days though.
>>
>>36770897
Oh, certainly. an aspiring lich king can't shy away from butchering a few villages and converting every last person into a zombie to swell his army.
Just something to keep in mind for the long term.
>>
If these soldiers mean war, and knowing Sirren they probably do, you're going to need to get more warriors of your own! Taking a rather small retinue and setting the rest about gathering weapons and building supplies, you head into the hamlet once more.
The ghouls there have been keeping a sleepless watch, and done well, but the dim nature of their connection makes any reports vague at best. Damn Mortas and his inferior creations! Well, you came here to raise the dead, so you'd better prove you can do it better.

You gather together the corpses of your old friends and neighbors, laying them out around you. You curse your small body, leaving the task to more physically capable zombies. Once they've all been arranged, you begin the ritual. Several zombies stand aside, clapping in time as you start to perform the age-old rites of ghoul-raising.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n_qbGJuxCYY

As the verses leave your mouth, the various corpses around you shudder and shake, some twitching in time to your movements and the tune of your vile dirge.

>58/100

From the assembled pile of the dead, many start to rise. Your dance picks up speed as the clapping grows faster, more erratic. As you chant out the final lines of the ghoulish tune, the dance stops abruptly. Almost sixty zombies stand around you. No silly sigils, no volatile magic. These ghouls will serve you unwaveringly and effectively.

However, the prolonged nature of wakedancing means you hardly have time for any other activity! With your new retinue, you return to camp.

>GAINED: 58 regular zombies.

>Cont.
>>36770837
Definitely. We're small time currently, but the leonin are our first step into a proper empire.
>>
>>36770837
Undead and demon civs are the closest to quest threads since they involve very few characters. But it enters civ mode eventually. The undead are your people, and you generally aspire to reach Lichdoom. Sometimes named hero units are added for variety.
>>
>>36771090
The night is uneventful, troubled more than a little though you are by worries over the coming army. Reports mention a governor with the Sirren delegation. Why would they send a politician to war?

The next morning, you stretch and greet your now-enlarged army. 98 ghouls, nearly a hundred, stand ready for their commands. As you slept, the last unscavenged reaches of the wastes were dredged to produce several working rifles and a few axes, as well as enough wood to use for construction.

You've got enough time to visit the leonin and have your much larger force divided into other tasks. This is crunch time, after all, and you need to manage these bags of flesh well!

Choose up to three, dividing the 98 idle zombies as preferred. Octavia can only be present for one action, so visiting the leonin means you can't do research, and vice versa.

>>
>>36771511

Oh right, put wurm in designing traps and pitfalls that goes with the fortifications. make sure to funnel enemy soldiers into 'killzones', areas designed to give the attacker disadvantage but the reverse to the defender.
>>
>>36771684
We could also not make a death lunge at their leader, since we could have avoided mortas death by being a bit more patient
>>
>>36771755
The goblin chief was asking "why should he let us live" from a position of strength. We could have made promises... and he could have still ordered his men to kill us.

Also, we are coming to magically enthrall people whom we poisoned and cursed. What if they have a shamen who detected and broke that and would recognize us as the source? It just seems like a ridiculous risk to go in person to a potential hostile force with only 20 regular zombies while the rest of our force is tasked with other stuff.

And besides, we should vecate the area anyways (noting really for us here) to avoid the force from sirren. 30 we can take, 300 we can't
>>
There's plenty of work to be done before the Sirren warriors arrive tomorrow. You gather all your minions, new and old, together outside the tower. The weakest ones, those your old master constructed, you order to go loot what weapons and resources from the hamlet they can find. They shamble off dutifully, and you turn to the others.

To the others, you order them to set about construction. Your necrowurm digs tunnels just below the surface, allowing passage behind enemy lines and letting your defenders lunge out of the thin earth for an ambush. The regular ghouls set about making palisades to slow and separate the enemy, digging shallow trenches and placing makeshift wooden walls about the area and more thickly around your tower.

With such work being undertaken, you call the remaining 18 zombies and tell them to travel with you. You were hoping to wait a while longer, but with the Sirren coming you'll likely not get a better chance. Retinue in tow, you make your way over the prairie and to the village...

Why not have our wurm dig us a underground lair since we only have a small force.
>>
I'd say we get the fuck out of dodge after we scavenge the hamlet and check on the leonin whether or not we can zombify them

>>36772045
I say without, but have them close enough that if we need them they can come to our aid

If our magical disease hasn't done it's work we don't want to appear like too much of a threat
>>
>>36772050
that is doable for hiding our zombies from this one force. if we successfully enthral the leonin we can hide among them while our zombies hide out from the army. The only thing of value is our books anyways... oh, and the food. And the leonin could hunt for us on a regular basis meaning no more starving to death all the time. (although I hope we can counteract the well poison)

but have them close at hand to help us if things get a bit hairy.

Rolled 77 + 20 (1d100 + 20)

You think better of bringing your assorted zombies. It may look better to go as you are, and making their enthrallment easier.

The leonin are surprised, understandably, to see you approach. They make no move to harm you, or even stop you, and gather in the square where you stand. They are likely telling themselves they've come to see this odd little human before them, but you have an idea as to the real reason they've gathered so conveiniently.

(Rolling to enthrall, +10 for Entrance and +10 for a very successful poisoning.)

You stand in front of these meek and worthless villagers, ready to turn them into something valuable.

"Where is your prideking?"
A wizened leonin steps forward, his mane droopy and graying and his body bearing a lifetime of scars. With a nod, he acknowledges you.
"Good." silently, you drive forth that latent corruption that you have so masterfully planted. "And WHERE is your leader?"
The prideking looks perplexed briefly, but despite his confusion points to you. He pulls back his hand, startled at the unintentional response, and looks to you with an expression of worry.

"Calm, pet, calm. You have lived idly. You hunt, you build, but you are meager. How can you call yourselves leonin, heirs to the great pridelands of old?"
Your silvery tongue and imposing demeanor make each word resonate within the dim minds of your new thralls, pushing aside thoughts of doubt and confusion with talk of strength and new lives.
"You will become strong! You will have lands unending to hunt upon, and wealth uncounted in your coffers! But it will not be with the old ways!" You motion to the prideking, and the crowd gives him a look of sudden contempt. You have shown them greatness, and by comparison he is weak, inhibiting. Telling them as such, you continue.
"Do you WANT to be strong?" the crowd roars, almost literally. "And do you know who will make you strong?!"

"You!"

"But strength is not given." you hush the crowd, quieting their voices but kindling their conviction. "It is earned! You must cast out weakness and all who allow it!" stepping back, you aim your staff to the prideking. The command is never said, but each leonin hears it.

They leap upon the elder statesman, claws tearing at his clothes and raking into his flesh. The prideking wails and screams, but he is quickly overwhelmed by the townsfolk. They flay him with dozens of bloody swipes, biting into exposed flesh and swarming the leonin like wild dogs to carrion. After a time, the pained screams fall silent.

With a single command from you, the leonin disperse. Their maws and hands are matted back and red, lines of blood tracing back to the mauled remains of their former king. You briefly consider reanimating him, but think better of it. These new thralls haven't yet been introduced to the more typical form of your dark arts.

>GAINED: 52 leonin thralls

You ponder your next move. What are you going to do with these thralls?

>Arm them and make them auxiliary warriors
>Convert the town into a new base of operations (this will take a few days)
>Bring them to the wastes for menial labor/research and experimentation.
>Keep them here, make them the first tributary state to your empire.

what is the difference between
>Convert the town into a new base of operations (this will take a few days)
>Keep them here, make them the first tributary state to your empire.
>>
>>36772773
Feel free to respond, but for now I'm off to bed. Tomorrow, around 12 EST, we'll get to that battle scene.
>>36772804
With the former, you're building things and moving your books/potions/zombies over to the town.
With the latter, you're letting them be, just collecting tribute and calling them when needed.
>>
>>36772773
Arm them, and then bring them back to the waste

With the Sirren army approaching we want to keep all our forces close. When the fighting is done we can find another use for them, but for now they are most useful to us as warriors/defenders
>>
>>36772773
>Convert the town into a new base of operations (this will take a few days)

We can leave some of the undead at the old base for when the small army arrives. They come, kick their arses while the rest hide under a rock somewhere in a forest. When they don't find a necromancer they go search for em and perhaps they stumble upon a certain clan of Goblins that just so happen to have killed one recently.

Meanwhile we hide out in the Leonin village and wait out the storm.

Don't even bother facing the sirren army. Also, you still need food and they can provide for you.

>Convert the town into a new base of operations

Have the thralls collect materials related to construction of walls/fortification and we hide in the village.

And take 4/5ths of your zombies, along with relevant supplies, to the new base. Have remaining zombies scatter Themselves between the fort and goblintown

>Have the thralls collect materials related to construction of walls/fortification and we hide in the village.
that can/should be done after/if the misdirection succeeds

>>36772999
Probably better to hide them in the dungeon ruins or the swamp... or just underground tunnels, rather than bringing them to our new locale and risking the army tracking them
>>
>>36772773
>Convert the town into a new base of operations (this will take a few days)
Have the wurm dig a underground base, one tunnel leading to your own house and the other tunnels leading away from the town. The some zombies scatter nowhere near the town.
