Miss Malal trains a Culexus from day one to be one with her suit. Not only do we have to do everything with the suit on - with the exception of when we have to attend to calls of natures or hygiene, stuff like that - but we also have to make sure that it's maintained properly, inside and out, twenty-four seven. It's the only dress we'll ever get to wear out for the rest of our lives.

As for specific training exercises, well...there's this specific one that makes you realize just what you're capable of as a Culexus when you're pushed to your limit. Miss Malal goes around to try and find a Nightmare Barrier, then calls the entire rank into it. The initiate is then sent out to vaporize the Witch on her own with her suit disabled. Using nothing but your own anti-magic.

It's...well. It's the only Officio training exercise with a near 100% failure rate. No Culexus has ever managed it, except for Miss Malal herself.

Some of them I can't really talk about here, but one of my duties involve being on-call in case one of the squads in the Witch-hunting rotation needs Culexus backup for some reason or another. As I'm just the one left, I tend to get the calls where things are getting really hairy.

I'm also required to try and predict what kind of threats may attack the Officio, from within and without. That's the Prognosticator part of my duties, but I admit it's never been something I've been good at. Miss Haruka's much better and much more experienced at it than I am, which is why I default to her most of the time.

And yes, my suit can be adjusted to dampen my abilities enough that people feel more at ease around me. But some girls are just more sensitive than others - like Miss Sayaka.

"After making sure Misaka's okay and stuff, Chiaki goes on and does more Warmaster stuff - paperwork, shootin' kneecaps off of people, that deal. We also spend some time eatin' and drinkin' and shootin' the shit, that was fun, although, uh, let's just keep some stuff in that conversation private, yeah? In exchange for that, she wants a rematch."

"Chiaki says no deal, and has Yuma rip the information out of her skull through her own brand of Culexus bullshit. Of course, this triggers some sorta security measure, and Yuma gets toastyfaced. She pulls through it, though, and helps organize a kill-squad to finally end things once and for all."
