Amusing. You let out a hard chuckle, then shake your head as you realize that is not the face normal people are supposed to make. It’s hard wearing a mask all the time.

Take Ryoko and drag her to Jager for a checkup due to Ryoko possibly being infected by the Time Devourer. We drained some of it from her, much like a vampire, but we were told by Monologue that we should still get her checked out.

There's a small chance that she hasn't died yet.

You sonido off into the city, then tap on Ryoko’s window. She shuffles around inside, doing tidying up shuffling things you suspect, then opens the window with a smile. “Hey Sensei, what’s up?”

You pick her up and throw her over your shoulder. “We have left eaters to discus with a robot woman and maybe lunch.”

You fly around the stairs and land in the shrine at once. You walk over the Jager’s room, then throw her on the desk in front of the muscular woman. You point at her and say “Jager see if she has worms!”

Jager looks around the room, then back at you. She clears her throat and then nods. “Okay, run that by me again.”

You sigh. “Make sure she doesn’t have time devourer parts in her making her all woobly and not Ryoko! Use science! Science! Save us!”

“I don’t even know where to start with that, but I am going to go with ‘I have no idea what you are even asking for right now, or how to do something like that’. Why do you think I would be able to do something about it anyway?” She asks.

“Because you are science! Science is the most OP thing in this world right now, so that can fix stuff. You dewormed me.” You point out.

Like only we and Akira could really perceive the Time Devourer, due to looking up, so I'm not sure if that's also true for any parasitic fragments it may make. In any case, let's just pick Ryoko up again and kind of rub her against Daffodil, since she's a sensitive sort, she might be able to detect any lingering "rotten time" that makes both us and her sick and is the signature of the Time Devourer.

You go over to Ryoko and give her a sniff. Several sniffs actually, because you like to be thorough. She raises an objection, but you hold her down and continue your nasal assault. You smell the stench of pheromones that tickle your nose, the salty stench of sweat, the metallic smell of blood pulsing under the surface, and a light pink smell you associate with Asmodeus that you can only conclude is lust. You pull away from her and think over the smells, but conclude that there is no gagging stench of rotten time radiating off of her body from what you can tell. “Does that mean she is clean?” Well, no, she needs a shower and honestly she should have washed her hands after doing that, but otherwise she is good. “That?” I’ll tell you when you’re older.

“Sensei? Um, are you like, okay?” Ryoko wonders.

“Did you see the Frost King transform into a mutant monster thing with wiggly parts and super spooky power?” You ask.

“Yeah, it was pretty weird right? One minute he’s fine, then suddenly he freaks out and starts attacking. Good thing it all worked out in the end, right?” Ryoko asks.

Seems she either didn’t notice or didn’t see the time devourer spore thingy, but they could see its effects. Maybe fusing with something brought it closer to the real world? “I see.” You conclude.

You sniff the air and note Akira seems to be away. Very odd, but you will keep a nose out for him.

“If you knew, then why did you bother coming?” Mephy wonders.

He shrugs helplessly. “It’s my role. Even if I know how it will end I have to do what I have to do.”

You see the mephy cat twitch and then nod. “A position I can more than sympathize with. You follow the set path, as I once did, as we all once did. My sister would weep if she could see you now.” You can detect a note of honesty in his tone, one you had not noticed when he dealt with you. “I hope one day you find freedom, or at least the mercy of death.”
