Okay, Thadrick, what is it now?

You know, I really should look at the letter, I mean for I know it could have some kind of poison in it, maybe ever one of those biological weapons I've read so much about, oh I just have to check, I mean I could really use something that vastly destructive and deadly. I reach over and grab the letter, carefully to avoid the strange orb as I do so.

It looks like a normal letter, and makes a satisfying tearing noise when I open it. Inside is a nearly folded letter that feels like something important judging from the quality of the paper. I unfold it and begin to read it.

I stare at the letter and put it next to the torn envelop it came in. I mean I could run there and start having some fun times with whoever else is going to be in this Double faced coin thing, or I could wait and show Maria, I mean it's not like she would tell anyone about this anyways, seeing as she doesn't get out much, and she'd be mad if I kept this a secret.

I close my eyes and wait for Maria to get back, a few minutes or so later I hear the door open I open my eyes, to behold the beautiful masterpiece that is Maria

"You're still here?" She asks smiling "I'd have thought you'd be out and about by now"

"Well I would be but I got a bit of a weird letter" I say standing up, grabbing the letter as I close the distance between me and Maria as she sits down at the table

"What's it about?" she asks as I place it in front of her.

"Oh just an invitation" I say smiling with my hands behind my back "go on read it"
She grabs it and slowly begins to read it, doesn't get far before she grips the paper, crumpling it slightly. She puts it down and rubs her head

"Why does it seem weird stuff always happens around you" She says looking at me "I mean a secret group meant to deal with the supernatural things, I mean why, it's like it's out of show or a book or something"

"Do you think you'll be back before night?" She asks

"Why?" I ask as I throw my hood over my ears, covering them with the fake ones.

"I'll try to get back as soon as I can" I say smiling as I walk out the door, taking one last look at Maria's smiling face before I close and lock it. I smile and practically skip down the halls, the other first years leaning up to the walls as I make my way towards the stairs. I nearly trip down the stairs as I run down them and through the lobby and out into the courtyard. I run past several other first years and through a few groups of them as I go, spilling a tray of food or two doing so.

I slow down as I near the office building. I walk up to the door, panting as the two agents playing cards outside eye me and nod as I push the doors open and walk inside, nearly bumping into an agent who stares at me for a moment before shaking his head and walking off.

"You need any help finding anything?" the secretary asks. I shake my head and walk down the halls , ignoring the various doors and paintings until I find the big one and throw it open.

"Ah, Layla, happy you could join us" The headmasters says sipping on a glass of amber liquid "please take a seat"
I sit in the last remaining chair, next to boy with short brown hair and stubble who smells like cigarettes and dirt.

I nod and stand up and greet the girl next to him, who has messy light blond hair and piercing blue eyes, She looks up at me and I see here eyes aren't human, look more like some kind of predatory animal
