I have, at some expense, secured the services of an outlaw chaos mage calling himself Xanthian. I believe Tom knows him and will trust him enough to agree to the oath.”

He feels...confident, as if he knows you can’t hurt him. But searching his memories, his thoughts, there’s nothing that would...no wait, he has a number of weapons on him, he just shocked you with one.

But he has a special one in a back holster, one with bullets that...that do something to mages, psychics, anyone with powers. Even as you try to examine these memories they fade, and you feel bands around you, trying to crush you.

Charun doesn’t seem like a telepath or mage, but there’s something in here trying to hurt you.

I've always hated that definition of countless. If you take 5 apples off a ledge on a windy day, there's no way to know how many would have rolled off if you just left them there. But since the maximum number of apples lost is 5, no one would call it countless. I don't know exactly how many rebels were there, but I doubt we saved a huge number with our different plan.

You catch a glimpse of a towering demonic figure with large wings, the King of Hell maybe? No wait, from Charuns memories that’s what your father looked like the day he...

You delve further into Churns mind, searching for information about the rebellion, about your father. Yes, there it is, every secret he’s been keeping from you, every precious memory of your father, it’s yours n-
