"What's wrong?" you ask Chi Chi.

She continues to stare at you with that angry expression, not moving a muscle, and not answering your question.

"Are Goku and Gohan here yet?" you ask.

Chi Chi still doesn't answer, remaining entirely motionless as her angry gaze continues to burn into you.

"Did Yamcha say something stupid again?" you ask, trying to diffuse the tension with a bit of humor.

"Kaguya, something's wrong," Krillin says.

Chi Chi finally lowers her arms, opening her mouth and baring her teeth, including two large fangs. And you now notice that her eyes are glowing red.

Letting out an unsettling hiss, Chi Chi springs towards you, launching herself forward to attack.

You move quickly, ducking as Chi Chi chops at the side of your neck. As her attack passes over you, you leap into the air, landing on the roof of Kame House. Letting out a frustrated hiss, Chi Chi pursues, leaving a terrified Krillin and Maron alone below.

Scaling the side of the house, Chi Chi climbs onto the roof before attacking you in a frenzie, clawing and kicking and chopping, and even attempting to bite you.

Luckily, you're much faster than she is, so you are able to easily evade every attack she makes. Still, you don't know what's happened. This behavior is far different from how she normally acts, and both the fangs and glowing red eyes are anything but normal, no matter how scary she might be at times.

As Chi Chi leaps at you again, you jump above her and off of the roof, taking a moment to sense for your friends on the way down. Goku and Gohan are still on the move, but not towards Kame House. You're not entirely sure where they're going now. Piccolo seems to be heading in the same direction.

You land beside Krillin, who is trying to comfort a terrified Maron.

The door to Kame House swings open, and out step Bulma, Yamcha, and Master Roshi.

"Thank goodness, you guys have to help," Krillin tells them. "Chi Chi's gone berserk!"

Bulma grins, her eyes glowing red like Chi Chi's as she reveals a set of fangs

You take a step back as your friends begin to advance on you.

"Krillin, can you sense Goku?" you ask.

He nods. "Yeah, he isn't coming this way anymore."

"Right, so take Maron and find Goku," you tell him.

"But what about you?" he asks in concern.

At that moment, Bulma lunges at you. Stepping to the side, you give an extremely light chop to the back of her neck. Bulma goes limp and falls to the ground, unconscious.

"Okay then, I guess you've got this," Krillin says. "Come on Maron."

He scoops Maron into his arms and flies off. Yamcha begins to give chase but you quickly shoot into the air and block his path. Your friend hisses and glares hatefully at you, launching himself at you and attacking in a furious frenzy of clawing and kicks.

Yamcha may be strong, but he's not as strong as you, and for some reason he's fighting with far less skill than normal. His technique is sloppy, and so avoiding his attacks is incredibly easy for you.

Before long, he leaves himself open, and you knock him out in a manner similar to Bulma, catching him as he falls from the sky. Below, Master Roshi shoots an energy attack at you that you easily deflect with your free hand, charging down to the beach, dropping Yamcha, and flipping over Master Roshi, knocking him out with a quick strike.

From behind you, you hear another hiss, and turn to find Chi Chi with her arms crossed, glaring at you, eyes full of rage.

You drop into a defensive stance, deciding to deal with Chi Chi as well before pursuing Krillin.

A yell from behind causes you to turn, and you barely make it out of the way as Oolong leaps at you, mouth open wide, getting nothing but a mouthful of dirt as you leap out of the way.

You quickly knock him out before he can get up, only to be forced to dodge again as Puar makes an attempt to catch you by surprise. Evading the attack, you knock the cat out with a quick strike, turning around to face Chi Chi.

The woman is already in motion, launching another frenzied attack against you. You're easily able to evade her strikes, however, and this time, instead of leading her on a chase, you quickly move behind her and knock her out.

With all of your friends sleeping soundly, you fly swiftly after Krillin, finding him carrying still carrying Maron, who has her arms wrapped around his neck as she stares, grinning at the sites below her, apparently not taking the situation seriously.

"Well, that was fast," Krillin comments, glancing your way.

"Do you know where Goku and Gohan are?" you ask.

"From what I'm sensing, it seems like they're on Kami's Lookout," he tells you. "Piccolo too. They probably figured out something weird was going on and went to ask Kami about it."

"What do you think happened?" you ask.

"No idea," he answers. "But, whatever it was, it's not good. We need to do something to help the others, and fast."

"Aww, I'm sure they'll be fine. Probably just grumpy from not getting enough sleep," Maron chimes in.

"I don't think so Maron. They never act like that," Krillin tells her as the three of you approach the Lookout.

"Well, at least we should be safe here," he comments, landing and setting Maron down.

"I wouldn't be so sure about that," an unfamiliar voice mocks.

A strange looking creature steps out of the shadows. His appearance reminds you of the tiny man you saw with the woman an dog in the woods years ago. He is very short, with greenish-blue skin, a bald head, and pointy ears. He smirks, revealing sharp teeth.

"Welcome to my Lookout," he says, chuckling to himself.

You take a look around, seeing that the Lookout is pretty badly trashed. Mr. Popo would probably have a heart attack if he saw it like this.

"Wait, I remember you!" Krillin shouts. "Garlic Junior!"

Garlic Junior tilts his head to the side, grinning. "Ah, yes, I remember now. The bald dwarf who helped foil my plans years ago."

His eyes scan you and Maron. "And who are these two fools you've brought with you?"

"I'm Kaguya," you say, introducing yourself. "And I am the legendary Super Human!"

Garlic Junior laughs. "Is that right? The Legendary Super Human?! A little boy with a girl's name thinks he's some kind of legendary warrior! Hahahaha!"

You hold back you anger and ask, "Are you the guy Possa worked for?"

"Not exactly," another new voice says.

Four strange figures appear in front of Garlic Junior. One is a short creature with red skin and a brown hat. Another is a hulking, bull-like creature with red hair and massive horns. Another is a large being with purple skin, black hair, and a hat with two white horns sticking out of it. And the last is a creature with blue skin, white hair, pointy ears, and wearing a cape.

"Possa worked for us," the blue skinned creature informs you. "He wanted a seat of power in Lord Garlic's new world."

"So we made a deal with the weakling," the purple skinned alien informs you. "If he could free Lord Garlic from the dead zone, he would get to join us!"

"Sadly, he proved woefully underqualified and got himself killed before he could free our Lord," the blue skinned alien concludes.

"A shame, really, his powers might have been useful," Garlic Junior comments. "But it doesn't make much difference. We don't need his help to take over this world."

"Where are Kami, Popo, Goku, Gohan, and Piccolo?" you ask.

"Goku, Gohan, and Piccolo are around," Garlic Junior answers, grinning. "As for the other two.."

He produces two glass vials. One contains a tiny Kami, the other contains a tiny Popo.

"I have to say, I love the irony," he comments. "Kami sealed my father away, and helped trap me in the Dead Zone. Now he's the one sealed away."

"Dead Zone?" you ask.

"The wretched abyss that Goku and his son locked me away in years ago!" Garlic Junior spits. "Once something or someone is sucked into the Dead Zone, they are trapped forever!"

"How did you escape?" you ask.

"Thanks to the power of my home world, the Makyo Star," he answers. "You see, the Makyo Star is the source of my power, and it is growing closer and closer to Earth, an event that happens very rarely. With the power the star granted me, I was able to shatter my prison and return to this world to have my revenge!"

"And are you the reason my friends attacked me?" you ask.

He grins. "Partially. You should really thank that Black Water Mist. Those effected by it are transformed into demons, and once a day has passed, the change becomes permanent."

You get a sinking feeling in your gut at the implications of what he's just said, and your next question is asked in an ice cold tone.

"Where are Goku, Gohan, and Piccolo?" you demand.

"Impatient to see them, are you?" the blue skinned being asks. "Lord Garlic, may I bring them out?"

"Go ahead," Garlic Junior answers.

The blue skinned creature grins, snapping his fingers, and your friends emerge from the building atop the Lookout.

Goku, Gohan, and Piccolo walk side by side, their eyes glowing red, just like your friends on the island.

"Goku, Gohan, no!" Krillin shouts.

"Oh, not again!" Maron cries.

"Yes, the three fools most responsible for imprisoning me are now my loyal servants," Garlic Junior gloats.

You hold back your rage as you sense the power of Garlic Junior and his men. Each of his men are as strong as members of the Ginyu Force, while Garlic Junior himself is almost as strong as first form Frieza.

"Krillin, get Maron out of here," you mutter to your friend.

"Yeah, Krillin, please," Maron pleads.

Krillin nods. "Right."

He scoops on Maron in his arms and turns to leave, only to have an energy wave shot at his feet. He yelps leaping out of the way and staring in horror at Piccolo, who begins to charge towards your friend before being restrained by the blue skinned demon.

"I wouldn't try going anywhere if I were you," the blue skinned creature says. "I'm not sure I'll be able to keep Piccolo restrained if you try again, much less Goku."

Krillin gulps, staying where he is. Maron begins to squirm in his arms, screaming.

"Krillin, get me out of here! Don't let these monsters get me, nooooooooooooo!!!!!" she cries.

Garlic Junior growls. "Shut that woman up before I blast her pretty little head off!"

Maron continues to cry, and so Krillin covers her mouth, muffling her noises.

"So, how can I change my friends back?" you ask Garlic Junior.

"You can't," he answers. "Only the Sacred Water can reverse the effects of the Black Water Mist. And soon it will be too late even for that! Not that you'll retain your free will long enough to watch the change on your friends become permanent."

"What?" Krillin asks.

"If you're bitten by someone effected by the mist, you become one of them," Garlic announces.

You get into a defensive stance, preparing to defend from the inevitable attack.

"Hold on a moment," Garlic Junior says, turning towards the main building.

As you watch, a gigantic throne appears in the doorway, its back so high it punches through the roof. Garlic grins and runs to sit on it.

"Gohan, attack!" he commands.

You don't want to do it, but you have to defeat Gohan. He's strong, but you're much stronger than he is. So long as you avoid being bit, you will be fine.

You leap into the air and over towards Gohan, who immediately shoots a powerful energy wave in your direction. Easily evading it, you move behind Gohan and prepare to knock him out, only to be knocked away by Goku, who rushes and punches you in the cheek.

The attack knocks you off balance, and Gohan turns, kicking you in the side and knocking you over. Goku cups his hands at his side and fires a Kamehameha wave that sends you sliding across the Lookout.

The attacks don't hurt you, but they do disorient you. Glancing over, you see Goku rushing towards you, baring his fangs. You quickly get to your feet and leap to avoid Goku's attack, only for Gohan to latch himself onto your back.

You hear him chuckling in your ear as he prepares to bite your neck. Out of the corner of your eye, you see that Piccolo has broken free of the blue-skinned demon's hold, and shot an energy wave in your direction.

"Gohan, you need to fight this!" you tell your friend, who hisses and prepares to bite you.

You quickly turn, letting Piccolo's attack strike him instead of you. Gohan lets out a shocked growl and falls from your back, crashing to the ground.

Goku leaps from the ground and rushes at you, only for you to quickly move behind him. As you prepare to knock him unconscious, his body suddenly becomes surrounded by a familiar red aura, and he moves away before you can hit him, putting some distance between the two of you and gathering energy.

He cups his hands at his side, thrusting them towards you and unleashing a massive Kamehameha wave. The wave of energy speeds in your direction, and let out a yell as you kick it up into the sky.

Goku's red aura vanishes, and he slowly lowers himself to the ground, staring up at you. As you stare down at him, you see Krillin swiftly move to attack from behind, only to be tackled and pinned to the ground by Piccolo.

"Krillin, no!" Maron shouts, running towards him.

Krillin is in danger, but he's far less defenseless than Maron, and you know that he would rather his girlfriend be safe and he be hurt than the other way around.

The creature holding Maron is weak. A single blast would certainly be enough to kill him. But there's a risk of hitting Maron if you do things that way, so you decide to get up close, rushing towards the beast, then kicking through his arm, severing it as your foot continues onward and kicks his head clean off.

Maron screams as she falls on her rear, rubbing it as she gets to her feet. She looks down at the creature you saved her from, then back to you, throwing her arms around you and planting a big kiss on your cheek.

"You saved me! Thank you, Kaguya!" she says, hugging you tightly.

You wanted to help Krillin, but even as you landed, you saw Piccolo get off of your friend, who rises to his feet, hissing at you.

You scoop Maron up in your arms, the terrified woman clinging to you as you jump into the air.

Piccolo comes for you first, and you kick him aside. As he plummets to the ground, Krillin attempts his own attack, only for you to dodge and kick away a blast from Goku.

Gohan, meanwhile, lies on the ground, writing and shuttering. You wonder if it's due to Piccolo's attack, or if he's struggling with the possession.

Goku becomes surrounded by the familiar red aura, and he rushes right for you, bringing his fist back to punch at you. You block with your right leg, then kick with your left, sending him crashing into the building not far from Garlic Junior.

"What are you idiots doing?!" Garlic Junior demands. "It's one child! Take him down now!"

You turn and find Piccolo and Krillin charging you together. Maron lets out a scream, and you split your energy in half, then have both you and your copy repeat the process.

Where there was one Kaguya, there are now four, and the other three stop Krillin and Piccolo from reaching you, grabbing Krillin by the arm and throwing him at Garlic Junior. Krillin crashes through the throne right above the usurpers head.

As they begin to close in on Piccolo, one is struck by a Kamehameha wave and incinerated by the blast. You turn and look down, finding Goku, standing in a pile of rubble, surrounded by the red aura.

With Goku back in the fight, you can't afford to fragment yourself.

You take a moment to regain your energy, forming back into a single Kaguya. You quickly avoid a lunge from Piccolo and kick away a Kamehameha wave while Maron screams in your arms.

Goku growls and begins to charge in your direction, only to halt at a shout from Garlic Junior.

"Hey, what are you doing?" he demands.

Krillin laughs and leaps away from him, holding the vials containing Kami and Popo. Piccolo smirks and lands next to him, as Goku hisses, looking between them and you.

"Y-you tricked me!" Garlic Junior shouts. "You're going to pay dearly for this!"

"I don't think so, Garlic breath," Piccolo replies, removing a vial from his clothes as Krillin releases Kami and Popo.

Piccolo tosses Kami the vial. "Here, it's the sacred water."

"Thank you, Piccolo," Kami says.

"I didn't so this because I wanted to, it was a matter of survival," Piccolo shouts in disgust. "Now go spread that water while we deal with this runt."

Garlic growls, veins in his head throbbing. Then, suddenly, be throws his head back, laughing loudly.

"It's not easy trying to take over a universe," he says. "But times like these make it all worth it. You fools will never spread the sacred water across the Earth in time. Your clever little plan was all for nothing, and now you will die!"

"No, we can still spread the water," Popo announces. "I know of a way."

"Popo, tell me!" Kami demands.

Popo summons his carpet and leaps onto it, helping Kami get on as well.

You quickly speed to intercept the blast Garlic Junior has sent after Kami, ignoring Maron's screams.

You quickly kick the blast back at its sender, causing Garlic Junior to leap away, only to be knocked through a nearby wall by Piccolo. As Piccolo gives chase, you land and set Maron down, rushing towards Garlic Junior's men, who are moving to aid their master.

You catch the red one entirely off guard, incinerating him from behind with an energy blast. The other two turn towards you, but can do nothing before you punch a hole through their stomachs. They each fall forward, collapsing on the ground.

Goku lets out a furious howl and rushes towards you, only to be struck from behind by an energy blast. As Goku turns, you see that it was Gohan who made the attack. The red glow is gone from his eyes, but both fear and anger shine within them.

"D-dad, you need to stop this," he says, tears beginning to form.

Goku ignores Gohan's pleas and charges towards his son, only to be knocked to the side by Krillin.

Goku looks angrily between his son and his best friend, howling as he becomes surrounded by the red aura once again.

Krillin leaps to avoid eye beams shot by his foe, and Piccolo fires an energy wave that knocks Garlic Junior through a nearby wall. Your friends give chase, and you follow close behind, finding your foe face down in a pile of rubble.

"Give it up, you've lost," Piccolo tells him.

Garlic Junior pushes himself to his feet, the veins on his head throbbing and his power spiking.

"Piccolo, go ahead and look up," he instructs. "Behold, the source of my power, the Makyo Star!"

You glance up, spotting a red, glowing dot in the distance. Outside, you feel two power levels suddenly rise, and hear Maron scream a moment later.

"Maron, I'm coming!" Krillin yells, rushing to her aid.

Garlic Junior laughs, and suddenly changes. His height increases, he becomes far more muscular, and he rips through his clothes (other than his pants for some reason). His power level also increases greatly.

"Now, fools, let's see what you've got!" he shouts.

You rush towards Garlic Junior, while Piccolo fires his Special Beam Cannon at the newly powered up enemy.

Garlic leaps to avoid the attack, and you quickly rush beneath him, cupping your hands together and gathering your energy.

"Ka....me....ha....me.....haaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!" you shout, thrusting your hands upward.

Garlic's eyes widen as a wave of light blue energy explodes from your hands, slamming into him and pushing him higher and higher into the sky.

At your side, Piccolo lets out a shocked gasp as he sees that your attack is pushing Garlic right towards the approaching Makyo star.

You can feel your enemy's power increase the closer he gets to the Makyo Star, but it's not a significant enough increase to let him stop your attack.

The sky is illuminated with a brilliant flash of light as your attack destroys the Makyo Star. Garlic Junior's power drops almost to nothing, and Piccolo chuckles at your side.

"Garlic Junior once used the Dragonballs to wish for immortality," he explains. "But we'll see how he enjoys his immortality while he's floating through space, too powerless to do anything but move through the emptiness."

The two of you find your friends on Korin's tower, Goku still passed out as a nervous Gohan, concerned Korin, and mildly interested Yajirobe watch.

"I'm telling you, Kami's not gonna fix everything in time," Yajirobe comments.

And that, dear children, is why you never wish for immortality. Throughout all of fiction, not just Dragon Ball, it always ends the same way. The new immortal always finds himself floating through space, trapped in another dimension, stuck in a tiny box/cell, or suffering from locked-in syndrome, unable to move, speak, or interact with the world in any meaningful way. It's literally a fate worse than death, and it happens every goddamn time. Honestly, you'd think that with all the evil psychos out there, at least one would be well-read, would know about this, and would run away screaming at the idea of gaining immortality.
