I've played a lot of quests over the years, I'd say overall the atmosphere in this one isn't bad compared to many I've seen.

You order your warriors to tie up the vulture riders. The vultures prove a little more ornery, but fortunately your new Skyhunter clanmates manage to get them calm enough to at least stop trying to bite anyone's face off.

The bodies of Dra'koz and his warriors are stripped of anything of value. Unfortunately all the armour and weapons are too large and unwieldy for most of your warriors, but it is still good quality steel, and once you have a proper forge set up, it can be melted down and turned into something more useful.

“Put his head on a spike, I want all the Skyhunters to see the fate of their former chieftain,” you growl, gesturing to Dra'koz's mangled corpse.

One of your warriors gets to work, cutting off and mounting the head, albeit with difficulty considering the large split in his skull where your axe was lodged. While your warriors prepare to move, you stop to give Ashuris a firm squeeze on the rear, earning a frown from the witch.

“You did well today. I'll be sure to reward you later,” you grin, Ashuris flushing as she looks away, though she makes no efforts to avoid your fondling.

“All done, chieftain,” the warrior calls, hefting Dra'koz's skull up onto his spear, with some ropes tied around to keep it in place, and in one piece.

“Well, provided I get my mate and slaves back, you can consider it all repaid,” the orc snorts.

You glance over at Lo'zol, waiting for him to explain.

“Dra'koz gave them to one of his honorguard when he banished me up to the mining camp. A dumb fuck named Ro'krag. I doubt Ro'krag will mind giving them back to me, since your woman Ya'zada disembowelled him.”

You walk along in silence for a while, until the camp finally comes into view, hugging the edge of the pass on a raised section of rock, surrounded by ramshackle palisades and spikes. Attacking here would have been a nightmare, especially from the front.

It won't be long before the Skyhunters spot you, so what do you want to say to your potential recruits?

You take a deep breath, a hush falling across the crowd as you let your voice echo out across the pass.

“Your chieftain was weak, a slave to dragons, dishonoring you all with his cowardice. Now he is a dead coward, and I give you all the chance to regain the glory due to you. This is your choice, join my clan, become Stonetusks, or stay here and rot at a dragon's whims like your pathetic chieftain.”

You don't have to wait long for your answer, as the Skyhunters lower their weapons, bowing their heads to their new chieftain.

You grin, marching into the camp at the head of your force, the Skyhunters parting to allow you entry.

“Slaagyr will be dealt with in due time. I promise you that. For now, any who were robbed by Dra'koz or his honorguard, I will hear you out. His time is done.”

A cheer rings out from the Skyhunters. Now the question is, what to do first.

Okay, there is nowhere close to any sort of indication or evidence of this. This is shadowrunning paranoia to the fucking max dude. C'mon. First is finding Za'ria, which doesn't take long, the female bound to a stake in the centre of the camp in full view of the clan. She looks up weakly as you approach, dried blood on her chin from a split lip.

Lo'zol snorts with disdain, walking away as Za'ria leans on you for support.

“If you want to pay your last respects to your former chieftain, now's your chance,” you grunt, gesturing to the mangled head on a spike being paraded around the camp.

For the first time since you've met her, you see the corner of Za'ria's mouth twitch up into something almost resembling a smile.

“Poor Dra'koz, we had some good times on the rare occasions when he wasn't being a bitter, paranoid asshole. Still, I won't be mourning his passing, let him rot. So what are your plans now, chieftain? For this clan... and for me?”

“The Skyhunter clan is no more, they are all Stonetusks now. Which means that aside from the Tonguerippers, I now rule over every orc in the border wastes. With these numbers, we can start dealing with some of our enemies, Slaagyr for one,” you growl.

“We'll have to start calling you warlord of the wastes soon.”

You smirk, it does have a nice ring to it.

You frown, glancing over at Za'ria, still leaning on you.

“Dra'koz did that a lot, gave away the slaves of orcs who failed him to whoever was his latest favorite, or just whoever he felt like. Sometimes he just did it to make two orcs dislike each other,” she whispers to you as the two orcs in front of you start to bicker, the other three joining in on their own arguments. It seems that this is where the problems stem from for all of them.

The orcs start talking again, bickering and muttering, you sigh, turning your attention back to the rest of the camp, watching your lieutenants direct the Skyhunters as they start to tear down their tents ready to break camp and head for their new home. When you return to the Skyhunters, they seem to have reached some sort of conclusion. Three of them have given up on fighting, having reached some sort of agreement between themselves as they thank you for your time and wander off in separate directions.

Two of them are already stripping down to duke it out, so you grab Dru'ak as he passes, telling him to watch the battle and ensure that the winner gets his due.

Unsurprisingly all the weapons are too large. While you could lift them, just, the balance is all wrong for you. Still, it's good steel, your smiths can melt it down for something more in your warriors' sizes.

“He kept all his best things back there. I never saw most of it, but I should warn you, I think there's some sort of trap in it,” Za'ria explains, gesturing to a thick wooden trunk at the back of the tent, next to the armor rack.
