What defines a war for the elves? Can a peace be forced on the elder council either through internal or external pressure?

I don't want to reward the councils bad behavior.

What are the rules for deciding or removing the council. Are there any customs regarding primancy of the throne in the face of gorss incompetance?

At the same point, a state of war could be reconized between the council and the coalition, leading to a lightning strike soley on the council alone.

This is a major threat and will need decisive leadership.

In a lot of ways, just walking into the meeting, shrugging off attacks and state your are here to form a just peace would be a heck of a statement.

Shit like this happens all the time, in history. Power swings from coyncil of nobles to king, back and forth.

The simpliest would be for one of them to marry.

It solves things, follows tradition and does not break the nation. Is there anyone either of them is interested in and meets other requirements inregards to lineage or other things.

The second easiest would be to blitzkrieg the council and enforce peace.

The hardest would be to come up and offer peace, with some concessions. Which would really be more like a bribe to the council. What is there price?

Lot of us did not know much about her until the short omake with her. More active roll in the group worka. Also help by pushing Mako to be more aggressive.

As far as whipping him up, sometimes they just need a confidence boost. Likely his dad overshadows him badly.

Alard had serious confidence issues when we first met him too. Best to get a read on him first though. Some times they just need to succeed on things

Take kid to Albion
Add him to the party, have him level up
Have him take some actual hits (melee/tank build?)
Have him spend time with Sinoe while Eldric stays away so Sinoe imprints on him once we are sure hes alright

Is that all? Oh, if we take him to Albion, where are we hosting him? are we inviting him home? paying him a hotel? its not as if we cant afford it.

Vet him first, and make sure that Sinoe actually learns what the boy is like before we have her talk with him directly. We don't want her to imprint on him and for him to turn out to be a bad choice.
After the training send him back and see how he acts with his family before letting him near Sinoe. He must be tested before he can be allowed to meet his princess.

Also, put him up in his own apartment. He must acquire his own funds from dungeon-diving. Pay for his own food and equipment from his own funds.
This is a test of character as much as a physical conditioning program.

Eldric is already quite busy. He is the Duke in the empire, of the capital. He likely will end up ruling part of the family city. Sounds like elven king is full time too.

I don't want it to feel like we pulled the chance at the throne from the kid though. I want him to be given an honest shot, and he just didn't measure up.

It is after lunch, inside one of the keep's dining halls, with Mako, Ren, Lyann, Okaba, Asmund, Alard, Aritsu and Sinoe sitting around the long table. There are plenty of empty seats.

The room is quite sober, with polished, mirror-like floors and mahogany furniture. The keep maids have just rolling out the tea cart after refilling everyone's cup, leaving them alone to keep talking.

"Alright, lets summarize" -says Okaba- "The princesses will invite sir Mint, to stay in Albion as an extended marriage interview."

Okaba makes a brief pause to sip some tea, and continues.

"This is so that we, the... do we have a name? I mean, as organization? Anti Demon Cabal or something like that?" -he says and pauses for a moment
"Do we need one?" -asks Ren
"Well, with your excellency and his highness and their highnesses at the table, we certainly are not just the Coalition" -says Asmund as he means Okaba, Ren, Aritsu and Sinoe.
"The Tomorrow Alliance?" -suggests Mako

As you wish King, quick and dirty summation focusing only on Dizzy incoming. Spoiler Time!

Valentine, an entity from the backyard, began sublimating gear cells into herself to enable her open "the cube" which would have really fucked over humanity. She needed Command Gear cells, so that meant she needed Dizzy or Sin's cells. Dizzy began to disintegrate and flow into Valentine. Presumably, as a full gear, she was vulnerable to this "remote" attack while Sin, a half-gear, was not.To prevent this, Ky sacrificed Thunderseal to literally stop time around her. This stopped her from disintegrating, but obviously you can't interact with people if you're in a time stop field.

After the events of Overture Ky teams up with Dr. Paradigm (a dragon looking gear, but a running gag is to call him a bird and him getting pissed about it) to find a way to reverse the seal now that the problem was taken care of. Near the end of Xrd Dr. Paradigm and Ky figure out how to undo the time freeze and she's freed to do whatever she'd like.

Alright, so Eldric marries Aritsu after Mint fails, but we keep him around because while hes not king material, he's still good officer material. It would be fun if he eventually DID grew up and win Sinoe over, tho, but that depends.

Also, a friend pointed out the other day that monogamy is actually LESS common than polygamy, religion-wise, but since christianity and western values are so predominant in, well, the west, that's what has become the norm for us. The meeting is finally over, and Eldric begins taking everyone home by treestride.

Once it is time to go back to Albion, we shake hands with our cousin, and ask him if his Goliath friend has found anything new about grphology.

"It is still too soon"
"I see. Well, keep in touch with the journals"

Alard kisses the hand of Lyann, Aritsu and Sinoe, and we go back to Albion together.

"Thank you for letting us know about this danger" -says Aritsu

With the delicate faeries in the party, we need to go slower than usual so they don't get killed.

Well, with Lyann to back us up, that is still quite fast indeed. Rising their t1 levels is quite fast, and soon they are more than tough enough to help actively and even walk all over the dungeon monsters.

It is somewhat funny to see the tiny faeries literally bitchslapping demons and horrors as if they were toys.

Well, the day sure felt long, both with the meeting in Eopolis, and the dungeon crawl afterwards.

Lyann smiles as she takes Eldric's hand on the way back home, both of them with a faery on each shoulder.

We could have continued if leveling up replenished the faeries mana, but they are now completely empty and will need a few days to refill.

As we arrive home, Zoe welcomes us at the door, and we go in to enjoy a warm nice dinner with everyone.

It really was a busy day, so Eldric stepping into the bath is at risk of falling asleep.

We are still growing, too. Sometimes it feels as if we grew taller every day, so our body is usually sleepy.

The next morning, Eldric picks up Mako and Ren, as usual. Classes go quite well, and Aritsu gives us her and her sister's letters for marquis Mint.

As we are looking around the club, we see Lyann is playing a match with Mako. As we approach, Mako manages to beat Lyann.

Her celebration dance is something along the lines of rising her small hands to her shoulders and softly saying "yay!" with a smile, then helping to store the pieces away.

"Oh, hi Eldric" -Lyann smiles as she notices us behind Mako
"If you wanted to use that trick, you should have done so while we were playing" -says Mako, leaning her head to the left, a little bit
"Hello" -says Eldric, causing Mako to go "eep!" and drop the piece she was holding.

"e-Eldric!" -she cries out softly as she lifts her head towards him
"Yes"
"I won!"
"Yes. Good job"
"That means we can go eat potatoes!" -she announces with a big smile
"Uhm? what?"

Lyann sighs

"She said she liked it when you bought her those long fried potatoes during your date in the Jade islands, so I said she should ask you to take her again. She said she couldn't, so I said she should, and this went on for a while. At some point I tricked her so she would ASK you to take her if she WON against me, and I would tell you to take her if she LOST against me"
"Whut?"
"I won!" -the princess says, her eyes sparkling

The shadows look worried and are ready to point out her mistake, but Ren stops them with a gesture while looking at the conversation with a smile.

"Ah... alright"
"So, I can ask you to take me on a... wait..." -it dawns on her, and she starts blushing while keeping her hands before her shoulders and shaking them gently

The sun is strong (so fire attacks are strong and water is weak) as you appear next to one of the palm trees along the beach avenue.

Of course, with both of you wearing your uniform, you stand quite a bit among the locals. Plus, Mako's deep rick black hair floats like a banner in the sea breeze.

"A-aaaiii!" -she cries a little when said sea breeze decides to play with her skirt's edge
"Ah, well, we should get some clothes before we are cooked in our winter uniforms" -says Eldric as he goes towards a clothing store.

A few minutes later, Eldric walks out of the store wearing short trunks, a colorful floral shirt, rope sandals, shades, and a wide straw hat.

Mako is wearing a long sarong with her geta sandals, a wide wing straw hat keeping the sun off her milky skin.

That's right, she's just a year younger, right? I guess looking at her every day in the same clothes somehow threw a veil over our eyes. She's really growing... she's blooming from a very cute child into a head turner, attractive young lady. She will be a sensual, nubile maiden in no time, at this rate.

Not that there's anything wrong with that,
