Liraels mind rushes into yours and as a conjoined psychic entity you rise above both your bodies and look down upon yourselves, looking into your memories, your thought, your feelings.

It’s hard to hold the gestalt over your shock at your betrayal of yourself, then understanding soothes shock, and acceptance wipes it away. The part of you that is Lirael dislikes shadow powers, thinks of them as disgusting, but puts them much in the same ranks as toads – icky but not scary exactly. And to save Kaelyn you’re willing to touch a few toads.

The rest of it...you dislike the idea of getting near another strange vampire, the result of a lifetimes habit of hiding from them, but as long as your big sister Shee is with you, you’re safe. The shadow-dragon thing is something the part of you that is Shee deals with all the time, not to be trusted perhaps, but again, not exactly scary, and if it becomes a problem, you have faith that Shee will protect you.

The gestalt ends, you put your hands on Liraels shoulders, looking into her eyes “Are you really that ok with this?” you ask.

Basically, I wanted to make sure anons would be okay with a certain idea I had regarding bonus XP, since this isn't something I'd want to get approved without their consent.

Instead of just being added directly to the pool, Bonus XP earned through me would be used for Manifestation, which is to say, Shee semi-randomly developing her powers.

The main purpose would be to get higher ranks of powers that are more neglected but still useful due to not being very interesting (e.g. Durability) and to add a mechanic that reflects the nature by which Shee develops her powers. It would also let me influence purchases towards certain things without having to be vague about meta-knowledge of certain peripherals before they're added. Heavily desired powers or powers wanted because of semi-urgent circumstances (e.g. Feast of Life) would also be given consideration.

There would be restrictions, of course. No power will ever be manifested that carries a physical mutation, nor would a power flaw ever be taken in this manner. Purchases that it's made clear the majority (or a sufficiently vocal minority) do not want wouldn't be taken.

As far as how it would appear in-thread, players wouldn't know about a power or increased rank until it became possibly relevant (e.g. Durability being relevant when you take damage or make a STR/CON check; Empathy being used automatically (subtly) when you next make a Fellowship check; things of that nature) at which point it would be mentioned in the narrative with a spoiler afterwards indicating exactly what it was that was purchased.

This wouldn't be an exclusive privilege. If someone else earns bonus XP, they'd be able to lower the cost of what they desire or buy it outright, unless it violates one of the aforementioned rules or there's a lot of backlash about it.

I'm not sure how people will react tot this idea because autistic (and dumb). Feel free to ask if anything is unclear or state if you have a problem with this. Please keep it civil.

Well, I can't see him getting mad if we switch before she learns his secrets. He only seemed to be all assmad at the Shadow Vamps because they took his secrets and bounced.
