You stay silent for a moment, letting Goku have a few seconds at least to be with his family after nearly dying. Chi Chi and Gohan are absolutely ecstatic that he's okay, and you can't help but smile at the joy radiating off of them.

Goku looks at you, adopting a serious expression. "I could feel everything that was going on in my dreams. We're in some deep trouble, but I might have a way to correct that. When you get the chance, meet me at Kami's Lookout. I'm going to go round up Vegeta and Trunks."

Goku calmly exits the room then takes to the sky. You don't know what he has planned, but with all of the powerful enemies you have, it had better be something good.

"I wonder what dad has planned...." Gohan murmurs.

"Well, if he's gathering Vegeta and Trunks for training, he'll probably want you there, too," Yamcha tells him.

"How do you know it's for training?" Chi Chi asks in annoyance.

"Well, from what Kaguya said, this Cell thing is strong enough to give him and Piccolo trouble, and the Androids could beat everyone other than the two of them without even trying," Yamcha tells her. "Some good old fashioned training should make some of the others strong enough to deal with this."

"I'm going to the Lookout, then," Gohan announces. "Goodbye everyone, see you there, Kaguya!"

"Wait, what's the Lookout?" Videl asks.

"The place where Kami used to live," Haya tells her.

Haya nods, taking to the sky and flying off towards the Lookout. Kazuma, Billy, and Yamcha follow. Remaining where you are, you look over your shoulder at Videl.

"Hold on," you warn her before lifting off into the sky.

The girl clings to you tightly, keeping herself from screaming as the two of you soar through the sky, but still clearly terrified. You slow down a bit, for her sake, and this makes the trip to the Lookout take a bit longer than it would normally, but not much.

When you touch down, Videl hops off your back and looks around in wonder, then lets out a surprised and somewhat frightened cry as she sees Mr. Popo.

"Kaguya, welcome back," he greets, sounding sad. "And who is it you've brought with you."

You explain to her what the room is as the two of you make your way inside the main building, walking down the halls of the Lookout towards the room in question.

"So you can go anywhere at any time and fight anyone?" she asks. "Wow, that sounds like a good way to practice, especially if you can't get seriously hurt."

The two of you step forward into the Pendulum room, finding Gohan and the others gathering in the circle in its center. Gohan looks over at you, says something to the others, then approaches.

"Hey, I'm going to take the others to the battle on Namek," he tells you. "Getting them at least as strong as Frieza should be a good start."

"What's a Namek? And what's a Frieza?" Videl asks.

"Uh...I'll explain later, or Kaguya can tell you," he answers.

"Can I come?" she asks.

"Sorry, but this fight's too much for you to handle," he tells her gently.

"Hey, I'm not some weak little girl, jerk! I can fight!" she tells him angrily.

"I-I didn't mean that you can't," he tells her nervously. "But Frieza, he's one of the strongest fighters in the universe, or was."

There is a brilliant flash of light as Gohan and the others are transported to their time and destination.

You do your best to explain everything to Videl, starting with how you were inexplicably strong from the time you were a small child. "Yes!" she tells you eagerly.

"That might have to wait," Goku says as he lands.

Vegeta and Trunks land beside him, the Saiyan Prince glaring at you and Videl in distaste.

"I'm glad you're here," Goku tells you. "We all need to prepare if we're going to beat Cell."

"Quit your yammering, Kakarot," Vegeta tells him. "You said that you knew of a way to get a year's worth of training in a single day. Now, start explaining!"

"Right," Goku says. "There's a room here known as the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. A full year passes in there in the span of a day out here."

When we go in, I'm still pretty much sold that Haya should go in with us. The other super humans have the greatest potential to improve, and Haya's already the strongest by a little. She mostly loses because she's been the most impulsive, and with the recent brush with death she may be in a mindset much closer to our own.

Doubtful his Saiyan pride is literally all he has left which is really sad when you think about it because it's isolating him from the remnants of his species this side of the galaxy. He wouldn't kill us in our sleep. He'd push himself to the edge an beyond I kill us in battle likely only strengthening his resolve if and whenever we spared him to kill us if he ha the chance I give is mercy.

The only way I see that not happening is if we develop a true warriors bond or some shit with him.

I think it should be us and another superhuman or Piccolo and a Superhuman going in first. If we want to end this quick we should have our strongest getting stronger and a superhuman could catch up to them really quick. Of Kaguya and Piccolo whichever one stays behind reaches out to the androids warning them of cell and hopefully gets a makeshift alliance to defend them from cell until whoever went in is out.

Can I toss in a vote for Kaguya and Vegeta going in?

I'd say there's not a whole lot we can gain from either of them honestly. Super Sayains and Super Nameks have their own mechanics to run by separate from Super Humans. Sayains are best off exploiting Zenkai with each other and there's a wall Namek's can't pass without splitting or fusing.

Super Humans benefit the most from straight training without fancy tricks, and thus should train with each other to maximize those benefits.

HOWEVER, as another note pure Sayains can't become Super Humans, and are thus able to exploit the Kaio-Ken to a grater degree. So Goku should go and try teaching it to Vegeta, Nappa, and Piccolo, or at least one of the former.

But since Sayains can also go SS2 and SS3, but there's no more Namekians for Piccolo to absorb, he'd benefit the most.

Ergo optimal pairings are:

Trunks and Gohan

Goku and Piccolo

Billy and Kazuma

Kaguya and Haya

Nappa and Vegeta.

The only counter argument is pairing Goku up with his Son for sentimentality purposes. But Gohan in canon didn't want someone who could go soft on him.

Trunks and Vegeta is the best bet then. Goku and Gohan as well. But Goku and Piccolo have already trained together for years and thus getting Piccolo to learn the Kaio Ken is probably a smart move.

Childhood friends should thus pair up since they're also proven to work with each other. Super Humans take precedence over Sayains. So Billy/Haya/Kazuma/Kaguya are still an optimal quartet that can be split anyway.

I've said it once and I'll say it again, the only partners who would make sense are Billy, Haya, or Kazu. They'd get the most out of it and would require the least catch-up work: even Yamcha would need work to get to the potential the other three are capable of.

And out of Billy, Haya, and Kazu, Haya is the one who's shown the most drive for the longest, and seems to be in the process of seriousing the fuck up. Plus, we promised to talk to her about what happened when she nearly died, and that's going to take time.

It's the single most logical pairing, and has the greatest potential for character development. It's a win-win.

So last thread there was some talk of Chiaotzu maybe cancelling out Cell's powers maybe we should train with him. We could also learn Tri Beam from Tien and have him catch up to us. Lets see how cell stands up to dual tri beams from fighters almost as strong as him. Yamcha would also be a great option he might have to show us what else he learned with King Kai at this rate. Additionally I'd suggest trying to get Krillin and Tien both in there at some point. As the ones with the most formal training in Turtle and Crane school, the benefits are less in raw power and more that they can develop and perfect some kind of new energy technique. Or at least explore how to better use the ones they already have. A theoretical "flying turtle" technique that'd combine the raw power of the turtle school with the precision of the crane school.

Yamcha might be best off with a different form of training. He's a mediocre blaster but he's a damn good melee fighter and he's shown some skill with a sword.

Maybe send him in with Yajirobe? Yajirobe being more experienced in swordsmanship and he's able to pull crazy shit occasionally despite also looking "useless". Remember he IS the one who cut Vegetas tail and trained with you and the others in the beginning. In this case it's not about power level so much as style and technique.
