You and your friends are hounded by the crowd after just trouncing Dick in such a public and showy way. A few people look like they recorded it. You see someone showing his friends the recording on a tiny screen.

Someone with a much more expensive camera pointed at you grabs your attention. That's no amateur, they have a host and microphone and everything! That explains the crowd. This must be a popular battle spot.

"This is Pokemon Slam-Master Fresh Jeffy Gee in beautiful downtown Alloycaster, where we just saw the up and coming Richard lose to a mysterious new challenger." He brings the mic over to you. A boom mic also hangs overhead. "Excuse me, miss. Can I get your name?"

You choke back your apprehension. A crowd during a Pokemon battle isn't so bad, but a camera that will broadcast to who-knows-where suddenly appearing is a bit much.

"My name is Kat," you say clearly with a confident smile. You hope they buy it.

"Well, that was quite the match you had there, Kat. Are you you a trainer, and are you going to be competing in this years league tournament?"

You can't think of any reason to lie and say no. But you know it's not what you say, it's how you say it that counts.

“And you?” He puts the mic to Clair.

Clair folds her arms. “I taught her everything right she just did. The screw-ups were all her though.” You notice Clair’s cocky look vanishes with relief when the camera goes to Jeanine.

“It was really fun to watch,” Jeanine says. “Kat’s the reason I’m training my own Pokemon again. Her and Robin are going to rock the league.”

The announcer nods and brings his microphone down to Robin. “You must be Robin. Are you competing in the league too? Is Kat here your rival?”

The camera focuses on her. She freezes in place like she was just hit with a Thunder Wave. Her eye looks to you, helpless.

Fresh Jeffy Gee turns back to the camera as he tries to act calm. “Young love, everybody. Tune in next time as we catch even more of the hottest battles.”

You struggle to breath as Robin keeps inspecting the inside of your mouth with her tongue. Her hands grope all over you in a way that embarrasses even you. Vance tries to cover Clair's eyes with his hand while staring on. The camera slyly turns away as everyone’s eyes don’t. She finally breaks the kiss as the host and cameraman wrap it up.

Clair seems to be engaged in a threeway staring contest between herself, Alakazam, and Gardevoir.

Junior grabs your attention again. “I can teach you one of the moves I know if you help me teach a good move to one of my Pokemon.”

You want Solar Beam. It’d go great with some of your Pokemon’s abilities. You offer to teach him Outrage in exchange.

“It’s a deal!” He shakes your hand and takes out his Pokemon in a brilliant flash of light.

Huh. Wonder what the Pokedex says. “Pangoro, the Daunting Pokemon. It charges ahead and bashes its opponents like a berserker, angry that it’s all-leaf diet still leaves it obese and smelly.”

You get to work training his Pangoro. It’s a quick learner with a temper to match. He grasps the basics with the help of your Pokemon’s demonstrations.

He seems satisfied with that for now. “Alright, now let’s work on Solar Beam!”

You take out Trunks and Devon.

“Hey!” Junior objects. “I’m only helping to teach one of them. That’s not fair!”

While you can teach one of your Pokemon later, it’d save a lot of time and effort to have his help.

He agrees. You take out Devon and get to work. Sunny Day helps speed things along, making it easier. You have to hand it to Junior too, he’s a good teacher. He really wasn’t kidding about not slacking. Before long, Devon is able to pull it off without any major problems.

Devon looks proud to have such a powerful new move. You’re not sure how much attention Trunks was paying. He always looks like he’s sizing up victims to scare instead of taking things seriously.
