I was thinking; In the first thread Reinhold was introduced as a badass swordsman. But if you think about it; in this entire quest he has LITERALLY never won a single fight by himself where the other person wasn't significantly holding back. He beat Nicolette but she could have killed him in one shot with her lightning spell. (still could). He beat Takamaru who we all know could have cut Reinhold in half at will. He beat Reya but Reya said that the spell he was using was much weaker than his normal ones.

I was thinking of just a base explanation of magical locks and lighting and heating on the first day, but what would you like to see as that goes along?

That'd require rewriting every scene for every route, so I doubt that'd happen.

Putting the dumps outside the game doesn't seem like a good idea to me, since some of the info in there might actually be relevant later on in the story. Keeping them in-game makes sure that the player knows these little details. Of course, most of the info should still be irrelevant. Hiding a Chekhov's gun or two in there is nice, but it shouldn't happen often enough as to be expected.
