Raditz throws back his head, his body shaking with his laughter. "Is that right? You think that you weaklings stand a chance against me?"

Goku says nothing, his eyes remaining locked with Raditz's.

Raditz smirks, blocking every attack you throw with his left arm, while his right arm blocks every attack that Videl throws.

With a laugh, Raditz slams his knee into your chest, uppercutting Videl in the jaw at the same moment. As the two of you are thrown backwards by the strikes, Raditz seems to vanish, appearing behind a shocked Piccolo and Goku and slamming his elbows into their backs.

As Goku and Piccolo fall forward, little you leaps at Raditz, only to be swatted aside effortlessly by the Saiyan's tail.

"Is this it?!" Raditz asks, shaking with barely contained laughter. "I thought you said that you've come to stop me, Kakarot! If this is the best you can do, then I won't even get a warmup out of this."

Videl pushes herself back to her feet, leaping at Raditz and throwing a powerful kick at his face, only to have him grab her ankle and slam her into the ground before tossing her aside like a piece of garbage.

You rush towards Raditz, and the Saiyan smirks as he prepares to punish you again.

Raising your right hand as you run, you point your index finger at the Saiyan.

"DODON RAY!" you shout, firing a small beam of energy from your fingertip.

The tiny beam zips towards Raditz, who deflects it easily. However, as he does so, you focus on his energy signature, teleporting in front of him and slamming your foot into his face. Raditz staggers back a step, caught completely off-guard by your attack, and you seize the opportunity to launch a furious barrage of punches and kicks, landing a few good strikes before the Saiyan recovers.

Scowling, Raditz catches your next punch and begins to painfully twist your arm, releasing only when Piccolo and Goku appear behind him. He kicks backward with both legs as he releases your fist, and his feet catch both of his foes in their chins.

The impact sends Goku and Piccolo tumbling back, but they quickly recover and launch themselves at Raditz, who ascends into the air, smirking down at the pair as he gathers energy in each hand. As his foes charge skyward, he unleashes two beams of energy.

Goku and Piccolo quickly move to evade the attacks, and Goku lands safely on the ground, only to be struck from behind and thrown forward by a kick from Raditz.

Piccolo meanwhile, is on the ground, a bloody stump where one of his arms used to be.

Videl is back on her feet, and you see her cup her hands at her side.

"You really don't learn, do you?" Raditz asks. "Can't you see when you're outclassed?"

Raditz frowns as his scouter alerts him to Videl gathering energy. He turns back to face her, only to look back at you as his scouter detects your own power level rising.

"Me...." you say.

Raditz's eyes widen, and he turns to see his brother gathering energy for a Kamehameha Wave as well.

"Ha...." Goku says..

"Me...." the three of you say together.

"Impossible!" Raditz screams. "Where were you weaklings hiding this kind of power?"

"HAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!" the three of you scream, thrusting your hands towards Raditz and unleashing brilliant blue beams of energy.

Raditz leaps into the air, and both you and Goku redirect the blast. Videl, on the other hand, doesn't seem to know how, so her attack strikes you in the chest, causing your own attack to stop receiving energy as you're thrown back.

Raditz laughs, holding out a single hand as Goku's blast screams through the sky towards him. The blast strikes his palm, and an explosion obscures your vision. However, when you see Raditz, you find that, while winded, he is unharmed.

"I think it's time that I show you insects a proper attack!" Raditz shouts down to the three of you. "Now, the only question is which of you runts I should kill fir-hmm?"

He glances away as his scouter beeps. Following his gaze, you spot Piccolo gathering energy for his special beam cannon.

"What? This can't be right!" Raditz cries in disbelief. "Thirteen-hundred and ten? I can't block that!"

He raises his hand above his head and begins to gather energy. "Alright, green man, you're dying first!"

Focusing on Raditz's energy signature, you teleport behind the Saiyan Warrior and punch him in the back of the head.

The good news is that your attack takes Raditz's attention off of Piccolo. The bad news is, Raditz is now focused on you, and royally pissed.

Raditz hunches forward, and moves a few feet from you. You think your attack actually hurt him, and figure that your power has increased.

His left elbow slams into your gut, and he turns, grabbing you by the collar and holding you up.

"Alright, if you want to be the first to die, I'm more than happy to make that happen," Raditz tells you coldly.

You raise your right hand into the air, planning to gather light into your palm for a flashbang attack, but Raditz punches you in the gut, causing you to spit blood and lose your focus.

"I've had enough of you, worm!" Raditz spits. "Say goodbye!"

He raises his hand above your head, gathering energy and staring coldly into your eyes.

"Double Sund-ahh!" Raditz cries, releasing his grip on you as Goku grabs hold of his tail.

"Hehe, you were careless," Goku tells him.

"What are you doing, Kakarot?" Raditz demands.

"I'll never forget how much it hurt when someone grabbed my tail," Goku tells him. "And it looks like it hurts you, too."

Goku applies pressure to Raditz's tail, and his older brother screams in pain.

"Piccolo, now!" Goku yells.

"With pleasure," Piccolo says. "Special Beam Cannon!"

A spiraling beam of energy shoots into the air and over Goku's shoulder, piercing Raditz's armor and his body. As the Saiyan falls, gasping and spitting blood, you find yourself returned to the Pendulum Room.

"So, that was the first person you fought?" Videl asks in disbelief. "How did you survive?"

Correct it is because of the cuffs that we are currently very very weak. Without them on we are at Majin Buu tiers of power, that is we could take on SSJ3 Goku when he first transforms and have a decent shot at winning. With the cuffs on we went to weaker than a child our age should be (can barely walk or lift our arms) and have within the span of an afternoon eclipsed all of Goku's training in Dragon Ball. If we can get to the point where we can keep up with the Super Saiyans and the other super humans while wearing the cuffs, we are likely to become very fucking scary for anything not Cell. For Cell we'll have become an actual challenge. We've got like a day and a half to get strong enough to survive android 13 coming to wreck our shit though.

You rush at Popo, picturing a wolf running at your side and hearing its howl. Popo stares at you, that blank expression on his face not changing even as you come speeding towards him.

You throw a series of punches and palm strikes as fast and as hard as you can, but Popo blocks each one without any effort, not moving back an inch or even changing the expression on his face as he deals with your attacks.

You attempt to finish the combination with a double-palm strike, but Popo simply grabs your wrists, spinning and tossing you high into the air.

Righting yourself, you look down to find that Popo has vanished. Turning around, you find him hovering behind you. He takes a deep breath, and exhales, producing a current of wind that throws you back to the ground.

Getting up, you see Popo land a few feet away, his expression not changing.

Basically it's just like when we kept spamming Rampage Drive + Sky Breaker. It's neat and it gives us an edge sure, but it's actively diminishing our returns during training. You fix yourself and throw another kick at Popo, only to have him grab your ankle and toss you away. You flip in the air and land on your feet, cupping your hands at your side.

"Kamehameha!" you yell, thrusting your hands towards Popo and unleashing a beam of energy.

Popo doesn't attempt to dodge the attack, or even raise his hands to block or deflect it. Instead, he remains completely still as the beam of energy continues barreling towards him, opening his mouth as it draws nearer.

As you watch in stunned disbelief, Popo sucks the Kamehameha into his mouth, consuming the blast until nothing is left of it. He stares at you with that same blank expression, quite calm for someone with an energy attack in his gullet.

That's not how or why it works. We get stronger from the attempt to overcome obstacles placed in front of us. If that obstacle is "i can't hurt the guy I want to hurt" yeah we'll start throwing stronger and stronger punches. We don't just get stronger from our punches hitting we get stronger from attempting to achieve a result until we finally accomplish it. Teleporting is taking out over half the work of "Bypass my opponent's defenses, hit him and cause damage" but attacking at an angle they have difficulty defending from.
