Oh, somebody asked me if I was reading the last MT chapters.
I got bored waiting on the translators. What the fuck, translating 1/5 of a chapter a day, are you kidding me? im 98% blind and I couldn't take that long. Including today's, I already read them all in japanese.

Oh, also, I started reading an AMAZINGLY funny manga Im thinking of posting on the thread today. Its about how a guy is a peasant in his village, and placed a few traps to protect himself from monsters, then when a demon attacks, it doesnt wants to go towards the trap because the bait is bacon and it helps bacon.

It hates bacon? wtf, truly a demonic bing. Bacon is awesome.

Anyway, then the hero appears, kills the demon, and since it likes bacon, it falls into the trap and dies.

So the peasant has no choice but to go and save the world.

And I dont really call that a spoiler because that's the premise in the description of the manga.

I am in love with this new manga so far. I seriously hope I will be still able to read after surgery.

Anyway, the manga is called Yuusha ga Shinda! Murabito no Ore ga Hotta Otoshiana ni Yuusha ga Ochita Kekka. Yeah that's too big a name to go into filename, sorry about that.

Well, let's start meanwhile. Where were we...

IIRC we dated Lyann, visited Grumnir and Miiyau, said goodbye to Okaba... ah and learned to make teleport platforms, which for some reason only work for long distances. Or rather, they get harder to make the closer two platforms are, so in just 2 months, Okaba was able to understand how to make them for LONG range but not yet short range, or with variable destinations.

Oh, we made plaforms connecting Albion, Eopolis and Mantequira, too. Want to build more?

I don't know who the fuck is translating this, but they really need a proofreader. I won't whine to them directly because translating a manga is a LOT more work than translating a LN. I used to help translate and proofread Thermae Romae until the japanese guy that was redrawing and uploading hem got scared because he lived like 2 miles from the editorial (or so he said).
Translating a manga takes redrawing, a shit load of redrawing, which is work like you wouldnt believe, but...

A spell or spelltrick debuff that reduces an enemy's spell damage by 50%, or a buff that reduces damage taken by a given percentage.

Pierce SR is better as it is more efficient especially with larger spells to use piercing instead of using more mana on bigger spells, also will probably make any additional spell effects more effective.

Eldric gently reaches around and lifts Stella, then gently places her on the side as he gets out of bed.

Uhmm... she's properly wearing her pajamas. The little shewolf, she sure looks cute when she's sleeping. She has a pretty face and nice body, but she's usually so tomboyish you can't look at her and think "ah that's a girl".

Right now, tho, she has no grass, dirt or straws of any kind on her tail or hair, and she's practically glowing from within as she squirms a little bit, seemingly looking for Eldric on the bed.

"Brother..." -she says softly as she gets to the warm area where Eldric was lying down a minute ago, then settles down with a smile.

With a sigh, Eldric throws a blanket on top of her, and goes to wash up and dress up before going downstairs.

Linda is an early riser, and is almost done with breakfast. As Eldric comes down, she smooches him and serves him breakfast.

Incidentally, Ellie is in the last weeks of her pregnancy, and she could go into labor any moment now, so she's mostly staying in bed.

We could afford to have her in the city's healing house, but we have enough healers at home taking care of her that she is probably better off here.

By the way, a full course in the magical university its normally made of 7 years.

We have been there for 4 years already, which means that as of next year, we will be allowed to pick which classes we want in order to specialize ourselves. Right now we have some classes that are mandatory, and some that are elective, but as of next year, we will be able to choose a specialty and pick classes accordingly.

Well, we are already much stronger than any mage in town, so rather than looking for power, maybe we should search for knowledge?

Not really, by now their society has evolved beyond her micromanaging every single one of her thousands of subjects. I imagine they have their own adventurer's guilds, even. They have their own parties that go into dungeons on their own.

That may be a fun spinoff one day, or maybe a LN? adentures of a group of Honey Faeries in a world where everything is bigger than themselves.

Well, the obvious choices would be rock, wood, ice and metal. For now, we go with metal simply because it, already, lets us make "weapons" which we then hurl towards our target.

However, these weapons work like spells in every way. They target Mental Defense Value and have to overcome Spell Resistance to deal damage.

How could we switch metal spells, from a purely magical system, to targettting Physical Defense Values and trying to overcome armor?

Ah, that's right. Mako is a natural handler of metal spells, right? when we read her sheet years ago, it mentioned that no matter her job, she could always cast metal spells as if she was a wizard.

On the other hand, her sister remained at court while Mako was exiled, maybe the empress knows something we could use?

After trying it out for the whole morning, we remember that Mako and Ren are natural metal spellcasters, so it would be much faster to ask for their help.

Well, we are just going over there to ask for help, we should be back soon enough, so for now, we don't bother asking Lyann to come with us.

Thus, we soon pop out next to the orange tree in the imperial garden.

As usual, the garden is bathed by a quiet atmosphere, except for the addition of a few honey faeries in between the butterflies and the flowers.

They greet us enthusiastically, and after exchanging pleasantries, we make it towards the inner palace pavilions.

The lionman guard recognizes us, and asks us to wait while he announces our presence, leaving his post to go tell the empress.

Don't misunderstand, there's still three guards remaining. Its not as if he left the gate unguarded.

After a surprisingly short time, he comes back and lets us know that the empress asked for us to go ahead right away.

Well, over here, its still quite early. If back home it was already near lunch time, here would be... uhmm... barely 8am, is it?

Come think of it, its always dark when we come pick up Ren and Mako... just how early do they get up to go to school? Is Ren getting up at 2am everyday for Mako's sake? well... honestly, she likes teasing her, so maybe its more like she doesn't wants to miss anything.

Sure enough, we find that Ren and Mako are sitting in the middle of their room, fresh out of the bath, their impossibly dark hair looking sensually wet and shiny as they let their shadows gently caring for their hair and skin.

Mako has gone strawberry red. Honestly, she looks like she may just start releasing steam out of her ears any moment now.

Thus, we are sitting outside the royal pavillion. The palace servants treat us to a second breakfast... no, for us its close to lunch time. Should we call it a light lunch?

We have some fruit, and milk with honey. Come think about it, Miel commented something about honey being really popular in the Empire, so it sells for a high price among the nobles, that use it instead of sugar. For their tea and other liquids, anyway.

After a while, a still quite bright red Mako comes out, dressed in a cute pink and white silk dress, her long hair tied into two long ponytails that cascade softly behind her.

She's a beauty that is beginning to bloom. Also, she looks adorable when she's angry.

"There is no way anyone would say no. You are just too pretty" -he says to her, and she goes bright red, looking at him while trying to speak.

She stutters a few times, and gives up. Much too embarrased, she looks down, and covers her face with her hands, trying to hide her smile.

As you are having fun with Mako, Ren comes by.

"Oh, it is good to see you getting along so well. It looks like we missed something really fun"

"Ren covers a little smile with the fingertips of her left hand, while Mako shakes her head, already as bright red as she can go.

Shortly after, she starts explaining about reinforcing throwing weapons with spells...

"Alright, try and use it to bypass an anti magic barrier" -as Ren speaks, some priests raise a small area with an anti magic bubble.

Of course, our spells cease to be as soon as they go in.

Instead, hers go right through.

"What is the difference?" -asks Eldric
"You are reinforcing a weapon's damage with magic. I am using magic to make it into a bigger weapon"
"If you could do that, then you could mass produce legendary weapons, and better than that"
"No, unless normal metal spells, these are not permanent. The weapons ¿created' this way crumble after a few minutes. But you only need them for a few seconds, after all"

Indeed, her dart starts crumbling after being buried on the ground for a little bit.

So, it trades durability for versatility. If that0s so, metal is the best element for it, right? the other elements all tend to crumble to begin with.

"Try using an iron coin and turning it into a disc. Add to its shape and size, rather than just its damage" -says Ren

Then she throws it through the anti magic field. It flies right through with no problems.

Almost within the minute, the shadow returns with some peaches.

"These are heavenly peaches. They can give you another 1000 years of life. These are what you'd call a specialty?"
"That sounds more like a national trasure, please spare me"
"Oh... would apples be alright?"
"Yes, thank you"

The tiny empress sends another shadow off, and after a while, this one comes back with three golden apples.

Wait a minute... aren't these apples extremely suspicious? they look like the kind of apples you'd usually had to fight a 100 heads monster for.

"Uhmm... these... are?"
"Are these no good?" -asks Ren
"I... suspect something else might be better"

The tiny empress calls her gardener, and asks her for some cherries.

"Xi Wang Mu, please prepare a gift of cherries for the duke's family. You do not need to decorate it"
"Yes, my empress"

These cherries are so big you could think they're apples. They are of a red so bright, the could duke it out with Lyann's hair for title of the reddest.

Well, these should be alright, right?

We port in through treestride portal together with the princess and the empress (and some shadows).

It is already almost lunch time, so we simply head inside the house, and reintroduce Mako and Ren to everyone.

"Oh, her highness looks splendid as usual today" -says mommy linda as she smooches Mako and then Ren

Does she knows how important they actually are? she acts really calm around them.

Well, dad seems just as casual, and whats worse, he politely asks them to take care of his dense son.

We are not dense, dad, we are just waiting a few years.

Well, as usual, Stella and Zoe immediately start begging them for a petting. Well... that is sort of normal? I guess?

Lyann shows up with Ellie, whom she is helping to walk into the room.

As for lunch, we have a few interesting moments since Ren is not used to knife and fork. Well, the cooking philosophy in not china is that the meals should only be stabbed and slived in the kitchen.

Eating should be an enjoyable and fun time, not a time when you need to struggle to stab and slice your meals.

Thankfully, dad seems to guess the problem somehow, and cuts quite a few bits for her.

Once we are all done with the meal, and enjoy some cherry slices with cream for dessert, we head to the backyard to keep practicing metal magic.
