>Summary:
You are techpriest Heracor Nahive. You were forcefully implanted a brain chip that made you into little more than a working drone, after escaping your homeworld you somehow got yourself into the Inquisitorial Cruiser “Speculum Animæ”.

>Main Mission:
- Become stronger and fight the Magus that installed the chip on your brain.
>>Secondary Missions:
- None
>>Optional Missions:
- Try to destroy the heretical information stored on your brain.
>>
Even with the lead doors closed you were impacted by a wave of light and heat that leaked from the gaps of the ancient gates. You felt your body weakening and your bionics rusting and cracking. This wasn't a result of the radioactive steam filtration but from the own rot from the vaporized daemon that now floated and polluted the air around you. Your legs became suddenly unable to hold your weight and you painfully fell down into the floor, with every movement your robotic joints creaked painfully and bleed oil and sparks. You couldn’t die now, all this ship and the lives of the ones that survived depended on your survival. With help of the Machine God your limbs and circuitry managed to crawl you towards the exit; as you got closer and closer your ears started to catch the murmur and gossiping white noise that the many congregated voices produced as they told and explained to the other two teams what happened and how you supposedly sacrificed yourself.

It was good that your body felt so tired, if you came back completely fine they would believe that you used some sorcery or tech heresy to survive and torch you alive. Right now your appearance was pretty disgusting; there were pieces of many dead bodies and different bloods and other organic fluids staining your robes and armor, parts of your bionics were frozen from the liquid nitrogen leaks that formed and others were covered in rust. You threw the flamer away to drop some weight and make the travel slightly less torturous.

When you managed to reach the warehouse and slammed the door that connected with the AdMech cathedral the sound of voices shut up, they thought you were dead and the only other thing that could wait on the other side could only be a hellspawned creature. You identified yourself and pushed the lock of the door, when it opened you saw them forming around the door and with their flamers ready to purge and purify whatever lied on the other side.

It was good that most of their brain parts were replaced with more efficient and calculating cogitator equivalents. Any other soldier might have pushed the trigger in pure fear but those in mere microseconds studied your body and understood that you were no enemy. As if they were connected and turned into a unique gestalt mind they all simultaneously stood up and ceremoniously saluted you, they were good soldiers… as you returned the salute your body failed completely and you lost your consciousness.

You woke up a couple of weeks later in the cruiser, more concretely on the Inquisitress personal medicae bay, next to Lanky…next to Liwet’s bed. The same technological masterpiece that once analyzed her was now scanning you; using its lenses to perceive the invisible and unknown from your body. You looked around and found yourself limbless with the exception of a substitute arm that was installed on your right shoulder. She was holding your hand tight in her dreams, she wasn't connected to machines anymore; she was now truly sleeping instead of into a forceful comatose state, you breathed in relief and tried to clear your mind.

Thousands of theories and memory fragments raced about what happened back there and what could it mean. You remember the fight, her sacrifice and that daemon…Kankrinius. Its mere presence and speech seemed to be the ones that rusted and leeched the vital energy out your body, knowing how powerful it truly was you start to comprehend what kind of hell she passed through. A migraine started forming on your brain when you thought about that name…Nurgle.

Better not to think about those sickening fragments of your life, you shouldn't forget them but after surviving that inferno reviving those events was a torturous experience.

Yes... Novice Heretek Quest.

I was here last time. I was useful!

Speaking of being useful...

>Even if it is painful meditate about what happened in the Frigate.

You checked the date over and over. It was 23 of Marchia of the year 877.M41.

Using the sacred wireless connectivity you send a wave of signals that soon connected you with the main net of the ship. Since you weren't connected via your neural ports the data transmission and the possibilities were pretty limited, in fact the WiFi was only used as a mean of plain text message transmission while the rest of the body was being used on another task.

You tried to connect with any of the Skitarius that was connected at that time and luckily for you Eugen was online.

>++H3R4C05
"Greetings fellow Skitarius, mind to report me what happened while my mind wasn't in a conscious state?"

>++3UG3N
"Oh you have woken up! We were worried about you being in coma and the old leader even dared to suggest returning to power, we have moved her to a deeper penitetarium and if she defies your name again she will be turned into a servitor. If you give us the order we will do it sire."

>++H3R4C05
"It is good to know that the old leader has been jailed for her mistreat that she endured on you all. Focus on explaining what happened on the frigate please."

>++3UG3N
"Well. After you fell down we used some servitors to transport you into the Karelia's medicae bay, she has the best medical equipment of all the cruiser, we are on the second place."

>++H3R4C05
"Straight to the point"

>++3UG3N
"E-excuse me leader. As I said you were transported and slowly healed from the tetanus and the radiation poisoning. The rest of the groups focused our efforts into cleaning and purifying the ship. We wanted to have it done before you woke up to make both you and the Omnissiah proud. I can happily said that we made it, the ship is clean and repaired, all their tech is secured and their special patterns of bionics have been added into the Cruiser's databanks."
>>
>>39525872
I guess there wasn't much resistance at the Gellar field after the daemon died. That's good.
Though I hope in the end we had less than two more Skitarii casualty, just to deny Nurgle his holy number.
>>
>>39525939

Yeah, fuck that guy.
>>
>>39525872
>++H3R4C05
"That's good, that's really good! How was the cleaning and repairing, anything odd on it?" - You were afraid of any worker being infected without them knowing it and the chance of that nightmare repeating all over again.

>++3UG3N
"The purification was arduous and slow but as soon as we managed to turn the Geller Field on and cut off the infected areas of the hull it became not easier, but faster. The frigate is still lacking some components like Liquid Nitrogen or other kind of necessary chemicals but as soon as we exit into realspace we will be able to refill it."

>++H3R4C05
"Now that I think about it...what's the name of the frigate?"

>++3UG3N
"I literally cannot say. The name and other historical information has been lost when the servers became clogged with useless data. Now that they are restored we can assign it any name we want thought."

>++H3R4C05
"Name it 'Wilhelmina's Sacrifice'..."

There was a long silence and you could see by the registry that she had both received and seen the message, it seemed that your proposition impacted her emotionally.

>++3UG3N
"Yes sir!"

With that said she automatically logged off. According to your clock it was about 1AM right now, most people would be sleeping but the activity never truly ceased in such spaceships.

Having all your limbs substituted with bionic counterparts was a weird sensation that could take months or even years to get used to and just when you were starting to get the grasp of it you found yourself limp and barely unable to move, you were given an arm yes but it was nothing but a crude placeholder that was surely installed out of pity or because Liwet insisted about it.

She was now clothed with a patient gown instead of completely naked, the lack of sun made her skin look really pale and even somewhat pearly, now that the sunburns were completely gone you were able to notice how some parts of her face and body were covered in freckles. There were some nigh invisible white stretch-like marks on almost her entire skin; those were scar marks that formed when her skin started to fall down from the intense heat, past wounds sustained in fights and the largest scar from the operation that you grafted on her to virtually transmute her physiology into a true human. Her silhouette was different; she was bulkier and more angular than before, during her sleep she was chemically pumped with a mix of hormones, protein, vitamins and anabolic steroids similar to the one infuse that Oihan used on you, the result; she was now taller, bulkier and stronger. A quick look with the X-Ray lenses revealed that some adamantium plaques were installed between her skin and her muscles giving her additional subdermal armor.
It was obvious that Karelia was trying to turn her into a warrior but that didn’t explained why she also legally adopted her. Maybe she wanted to have a bodyguard for Mellizune and herself that would stay loyal thanks to a blood bond? You left those thoughts aside and continued looking at her.
>>
>>39526221

You softly tightened your fingers around hers and tried to shake hands to wake her up. The arm they installed on you was just a mere crude placeholder and you even felt slightly insulted to have to wear such a basic design on your body. The weak pistons and dented wheels from your arm could barely move her arm and you started to think of your efforts as a waste of time. Just when you were about to surrender and try to sleep she kind of growled in her sleep and slowly woke up.

"Nggh??" Was the first words she manage to tell me after weeks of silence.

You laughed at it under your breath and felt happy both because of how cute she looked and for the chance of meeting her again.

"Greetings, Liwet." You answered back to her intent of greeting.

>Question her about what did the Inquisitress to her body.
>Question her about the adoption and the plans she has for her.

"How are you feeling? What do you remember?"
>>
>>39526279
Sure, this.
>>
>>39526239
>Question her about something else (Write in)
"How are you feeling?"

She stretched, patted her abs twice and then yawned.

"Pretty hungry, the vitamins and such make me strong but they barely fill my stomach."

It is somewhat mine too. You thought to yourself remembering how you removed her abhuman organ and substituted it with a normal one.

"I see. What has been your diet so far?"

"When I was asleep it was all intravenous and I only ate saline solutions. Right now I can eat solids and take a pretty huge array of medicaments; Two pills of anabolics each day, one synthetic somatotropin capsule at noon...I don't have all of them memorized, you would have to see my report to get a better grasp of it."

She seemed to be less scared and more confident with herself. It was really interesting to see how much oneself's personality and traits could change with corporal modifications like more muscle mass.

The fact that she was now enduring the same process that you once experienced and that her special diet was so similar to yours made you feel even more emphatic with her and sense a stronger connection between you two.

"I see...What do you remember?" You asked her with your hand still grabbing hers, after your question you felt and saw her hand twitch and grab you stronger.

"Remember? About what?" Her lower lip trembled and she looked somewhat distressed.

"Well...what happened with the Inquisitress and everything that occurred before that."

She looked at the infinite and you even noticed how her breathing rhythm increased for a second.

"I do not remember any of what you inquire me. I have always been Karelia's older daughter."

You were awestruck...she dared to brainwash not only her but also Lewit. She used terror tactics and now you understood why the crewsmen were so scared of her, it wasn't only because of the mask but also because they were afraid of forgetting their past.
>>
>>39526627
She also seems much smarter. I don't think all those words and that knowledge on her diet where things she knew, considering where she lived.
>>
>>39526627

You know... it would b a shame if at some point in the trip, the Inquisitress were to.. choke in her sleep... or fall out into the warp somehow...

Not that I suggest any of that. With out luck she'll come back as a Keeper of Secrets with a huge domination/control/hypnotism/brainwashing fetish.
>>
Not gonna lie, I think wiping Liwet's memories was probably for the best. Her life was not a good one before now and she'll be a far more efficient servant of the emperor without that mental baggage.

It also quickly gives her the confidence to assume the roll she now fills - that of an inquisitor's daughter. Lanky would most likely have prevaricated about being unworthy for a while at least.
>>
>>39526712
Eh. I'm okay with this to an extent. So long as she's safe-ish (at least as an okay chance at survival, which is as much as we can hope in 40k) and has a future of sorts, I can live with this.
>>
>>39526627
Goddam that fucking sucks. Lanky might as well be dead and this Liewit person is suffering from a nasty case of false memories. What's worse is that we can't do anything about it. Telling her about her real past could be highly painful for her. Inquisitor mind rape would probably get pissed at ur for trying to undo her pet project.

Worst of all Lanky probably has forgotten all about us. These feels man.
>>
>>39526627
She might look like your old friend Lanky, but that person wasn't Lanky anymore. Lanky was dead, repressed inside her brain as if her mind were nothing but a jail.

You didn't truly understood how Karelia's memory erasing powers worked and honestly a human brain was not anything like a computer. Inside their head there was no backup nor a way to go back and repair the damage. If you told her the truth she might snap and go comatose again, this time forever. Lewit didn't only had her memories erased but it also seemed that she was implemented with new and fake ones, she probably truly believed being the daughter of Karelia and that might also explain why she now spoke more culturally.

It seemed that her powers had no effect on you or that she was afraid of what kind of unexpected result could happen from it. You would have to be the only witness that knew the true lives and pasts from the people that surrounded you.

Your enhanced mind would record pretty much every fragment of their lives but all those registries would never be seen as they were a danger for their protagonists.

Of what use was being able of keeping and recording it all if all those bytes would never see the light? You shrugged and tried to be compliant with the lie to make her feel comfortable and don't break her already damaged and manipulated mind.

"Of course you are her daughter, Mellizune is your little sister remember?"

She nodded immediately, this time her brain checked those inquiries as true and didn't went into a shock. You would be careful with your words around those two and maybe even discuss it with Karelia, in private.

She was holding our hand in our sleep. No doubt Karelia has fabricated some memories that gives the two of us a close relationship of some form, perhaps long time friends or some such.
>>
>>39526831
Okay, so first and foremost: we need to talk to Karelia to find out what Liwet believes to be true before we discuss anything with her, it's not worth the potential problems.

I think it's best if we do that immediately to be honest, so I vote for

Seconding.

>Get someone to return us our limbs
You push the aid button and soon a sleep deprived overlooker comes looking at you two.

"Is there anything I could help you with?" He asks with a mix of yawn and growls.

"I require mobility, I cannot move on my own this way."

The man walked towards your bed and grabbed your report, looking at the observation notes.

"According to Doctor's notes you might have experienced a trauma and having you stationary and under observation is for the best. And as you can see..." He turned the page towards me to let me observe it. "The Inquisitress has signed it, there is little to nothing that I can do."

Liwet then looked at us and talked in your defense.

"He's my best friend and has been my caretaker since I was an infant. He's like a brother for me. I have been speaking with him and he acts and speaks like the rest of the times I had spoken with him in the past." In your fake past you thought to yourself. "You are right now not only confronting me but also the Grand Skitarii of this ship."

The dark eyes of the man opened and he seemed to be scared, maybe he had be bullied by the old cult members in the past as their old mentality dictated and he was now scared by your presence.

"I...I'll do it." He ended granting me your request and prayed for the Emperor to not be punished by you or the Inquisitress. Honestly he didn't had much of a choice since obeying Karelia's orders would have given him punishments from both Lewit and yourself after all.
>>
>>39527158

He went deep into the white and clean corridors and returned soon after with some legs and an arm. They were identical to the one that you had already installed. Basic but functional. Without weapons on your body you felt naked than ever.

With your aid he managed to install them but after that they needed to boot up to work and respond to your orders. The processing speed and connection with the nerves and neural pulses were painfully slows. They would take them about ten minutes until you could walk.

>Tell her to wheelchair us to meet the inquisitor
You asked Lewit to move you while your newly implanted limbs finished connecting with the rest of your body.

"Take me to your mother please, we have stuff to discuss." You said to her in a neutral tone so your anger didn't became visible.

She hopped from the bed with a jump and shushed the overlooker away before carefully grabbing a chair and seating me on it. It was an old model and had no engine nor connection ports, truly primitive...

After about seven minutes you were in front of her door.

"Do you think she will be awake?" You ask her, feeling weak and becoming more worried now.

"I hope so, she gets pretty mad when someone wakes her up."

With this said she opened the door and pushed you inside. The chair advanced on its own before stopping, she didn't entered with you. You were both alone and paralyzed with the exception of one arm. You wanted to run away but there was no escape. The ample room was completely dark with the exception of one dim light at the end of it, she seemed to be there but you weren't unable to see if she was awake or not.

Do we have x-rays or any infrared vision installed?
We can use them
>>
>>39527317

Well, unless our eyes have been replaced, we should.
>>
>>39527262
You activate your lenses and look at her using the nightvision. It isn't of much help due that the light that is illuminating her doesn't helps to discern her silhouette and besides, her warpsteel mask makes zooming on her a difficult experience, the closer the focus is to that metal the more white noise and static your eyes register.

You cannot see much of the room but there are details you can clearly see now that your nightvision is on and everything has a green tint. There are photos, manipulated pictures that show Lewit with Karelia and Mellizune on a Imperial Church, there are some others that look faker but that her brain surely registers as truthful. Looking at it more closely you even manage to saw the hidden watermark of the Adeptus Mechanicus on one corner.

It was frightening how far was she able to go just to build a lie. Honestly you were now doubting everything she had told you so far, she might not be able to tamper with your mind but she could lie to you with no problems.

Who knows if Mellizune was also her daughter or just a psyker child that she also adopted without her knowledge.

Soon your toes and fingers started moving, you were about finally get control from your limbs.

Weakly you stood up and walked towards her desk, she was peacefully sleeping atop a small mountain of documents, scrolls and purity seals.

>Check those documents or look into her drawers to discover more information.

Also, guys, it looks like we're gonna get some new upgrades soon, probably around the time we're getting all our bionics re-installed. Keep in mind that Axsisel once said that he "lets us get upgrades before big fights" and that we technically didn't get a bossfight on the ship...

We probably won't fight one now, but pretty soon after we leave the Warp, so be prepared.
>>
>>39527659
Nah, Lanky will tell her about our visit. To be fair the ship itself was very much reminiscent of a boss encounter. It sure kicked everyone's ass at any rate. There was probably a real possibility of it being detached and scrapped if we made more poor decisions or bad rolls.
>>
>>39527659
Not every boss encounter has to develop into a violent fight. The frigate cleaning and final purge counted as a boss of some sorts. Eugen said that they copied the Frigate's bionics and added to their own databases, before leaving the Warp I'll give a chance of modifying our body. The bionics while not limited will be mostly substitutes of what we already have, I mean Heracor doesn't has much more space of its body untouched.
>>
>>39527551
Whoops, got distracted and didn't notice this update.

My suggestion, since sleeping on a desk when there's a bed ready...
>Gently wake the Inquisitor, explain that you'd come to speak with her but that it can wait, and then help move her to her bed.
Alternatively
>Try to move her to her bed without waking her, not likely doable with our poor quality limbs.

Anyway, I expect that Axsisel has begun writing by now, so feel free to disregard this.
>>
>>39527792
Ooh, can we try for thigh replacements again? Now that we have another ship's bionics list to go through...
>>
>>39527830
Nah, they'll have our regular limbs ready, I'm sure.
>>
>>39527868

We still have fleshy, organic thighs. He still wants to keep our old legs, but replace our weak thighs with superior mechanical thighs.
>>
>>39527551
>You can wait and also get some rest, return to bed and question her tomorrow morning.
>>
>>39527551
>Leave her a message that says "We need to talk."

In front of her there is a holo screen, something really rare and valuable not usually seen outside of the AdMech research labs or Navy Command rooms. You connect to it and write the following message. "We need to talk. Signed: H.N"

After that you returned towards your hospital bed and saw that Lewit was already asleep. It was a good thing because otherwise she would have questioned you about why your conversation took so little time. Your clock marked 2:10 AM when you went to sleep.

You woke up the next morning feeling odd but rested, you stretched your body and felt a terrible discomfort in the joints were your organic parts fused with the primitive bionic ones.

Next to you there was a tray dish with a glass of water, some pills, bread and recaf and oddly also machine oil. It might have looked like a joke item but using the oil on the bionics made you feel way more comfortable, it seemed that the medics knew that the substitutes were hard to wear but since they were temporal they didn't really mind it and preferred to give oil instead of changing the design. It was good that they thought that because even if it was bothering the substitutes seemed to be easy to build and maintain.

"If it isn't broken don't fix it." You softly murmured as if it were a psalm.
>>
>>39527977
Lewit wasn't on her bed and it seemed that with the exception of the pills she had already eaten the rest of her food. You just shrugged and started ingesting the food to fill your stomach. First you ate the food and drank the recaf, if you swallowed the pills first they could make a greater effect on you due to your fasting and that wasn't desirable.

As you were about to leave the cup away and start with your drugs a door opened and from it appeared her, wearing nothing but a small cerulean looking towel that barely covered her body.

"Oh hey there you are! Seems like you finally can move on your own uh? That's great! The shower is free so don't mind me."

You had never felt flustered in your past, your relationship with women so far was limited at best and purely professional yet she was different. She was a friend that you trusted and right now she stood barely clothed with her amazonian body frame in front of you and steam coming from her still humid skin.

It was odd, when she was in coma you saw her naked a couple of times but didn't saw nothing but a sleeping body on her but right now you felt different, what could have changed?

>Don't look. She is your friend, even someone from your creed knows that looking at a naked body for non-study or medical reasons is wrong 99% of the times.

Nice try, Slaanesh, but you'll have have to try harder to get us into your world of booze and rock n roll.

>Try to ignore that and act natural. She might question if you are wrong if you act weird.

It was good that you didn't had a cheeks no more. Otherwise your nervousness would have betrayed you and revealed your true emotional state.

You finished eating and then proceeded to swallow the pills. She sat next to you and looked at you curiously like a small child. Your hands started to tremble.

"T-these bionics should need a revision." You lied, hoping to not offend their machine spirits.

Carefully you opened your ingestion port situated on the right-side of your jaw and placed the pills in there before sealing it again and turning it 180º to make it be upside down and let the gravity push the medicine into your trachea and your system.

"Could you install one of those onto me?" He asked you with a mix of excitement and innocence.

"Those are for members of the creed that like me left their mouths and exchanged them into more advanced equivalents." You pointed towards the speaker situated under your jaw.
>>
>>39528400

Lewit pouted and returned to her bed, for every pill she had to ingest she needed at least three glasses of water and she had to take about a dozen a day.

When she was done with the pills she had to ingest for now she sighed in relief and lied on the bed.

"When do you think my room will be repaired?" She ended asking to break the awkward silence that formed between you two.

"Yeah you know, I'm not in this bed because I'm sick. Mother has told me that there was a gas leak in our respective rooms and that's why they had to move us there."

You understood the true meaning behind that. The Inquisitor could fabricate memories but she needed other sources to create physical objects. Manipulating the pictures to include her was easy but she still needed to get clothing of her size and many other mementos of her fabricated past. Unable to do so she ended opting for another lie that explained why she was hospitalized.

Unable to give an answer you just shrugged to her, which made her pout even more.

"I thought you techpriest knew pretty much everything, that's why Mother made you my tutor."

"We do know everything, but collectively, human technology is so incredible and adaptable that it would be impossible for a single mind to learn it all, that's why we are always in the Quest for Knowledge, because we cannot do it alone."

You stand up and grab your robes. Your feet feel sluggish and honestly you hope that the metal they are made from is water resistant and doesn't ends rusting up.

"I'm going to take a shower. See you later, friend."

As fast as you can you head into the shower room, honestly you want to look back and she her once again but you manage to endure and keep yourself calm.

The shower room is pretty basic and clean, like the rest of the medicae bay it smells like oxygenated water and alcohol among other kind of chemical smells. There is still some condensation formed on the mirrors but you don't mind it, your appearance is something that never worried you...albeit you could try and experiment looking at yourself while wearing the warpmask to see how does your psyche react. Still, this wasn't the place nor the time to make experiments, you removed your underwear and find yourself completely naked.

It was good that you wore briefs, most of the techpriests actually didn't wore any kind of underwear for two main reasons, they were unnecessary because their robes already covered those parts and because due to modification their lacked their genitalia.
>>
>>39528869
Slowly you walked towards the shower and let the warm water pour over your body, you stood like this for at least ten minutes, even a heavily augmented person like you could enjoy those moments and for the surprise of most of the Imperial citizens the members of the cult mechanicus were more human that they imagined. We might act and look odd for their standards but in our cores we continue being humans and thus enjoy little things like anybody else.

When the shower was done you dried yourself completely and then placed the robes over your body, you kind of missed them, it was hard to understand how much of yourself is exposed when you are so used to wear them and they are suddenly removed from you.

Now that you were fresh and clean you exited the lavatorium and after bidding farewell to Lewit you headed towards the cathedral.

Now that you weren't wearing armor nor visible weapons you felt once again like a regular and lowly techpriest, being a powerful Skitarius was something enjoyable but you couldn't avoid feeling some nostalgia hitting your fiber. Lately you felt even more emotional than in the past...maybe it was because you were on the verge of death or because your only friend is finally awake?

In front of you stood the doors of the Schola Mechanica, the school of this cruiser.

>Head towards the Skitarii temple and question them

You asked in the informatio cabin for your belongings and they headed you towards a room were a biometric scanner locked chest lied in the wall, on one side of it lied a small needle connected to it via a thick armored cable. After giving a sample of blood using the piercing tool some baroque mechanisms started working on its interior and opened the lock with a puff of steam that appeared when the sealed environment was broken.

In it's interior awaited your beloved robes and armor but not your bionics. You equipped them all but as you were about to stand up and turn around you found yourself frozen on the spot. Your current legs weren't strong enough to hold all your new weight and thus their mechanism safe became blocked. You sighed in desperation and removed all them with the exception of your robes. Once all the items were inside you once again had to puncture yourself to lock it up.

You begrudgingly asked in the information booth for the location of your bionics, the techpriest in charge made you fill several retrieval forms and then sign them with both a signature and a voice sample that was attached as a small circular magnetic tape the size of eyeball.
>>
>>39529373

After you signed them all they gave you permit to enter into their chirurgeon rooms and have them both retrieved and installed. They looked completely new and were even polished but it was clear that those weren't your original bionics.

You new bionics were more detailed, they were painted in Mechanicus red color and decorated with gold lining and praises towards the Omnissiah. It seemed that the techpriests that worked with you wanted to honor you and this was the way they wanted to do it.

The operation took about two hours but it was swift and easy. You felt relieved to know that you were once again on your full strength.

I really just wanna catch up with Karelia and find out what we need to know. Who knows if she's intervened with the techpreist side of things too whilst we were out cold?

Once we're sorted with her we can then talk to the techpreists, etc

By the way, did we grab our armour and robes after regaining our bionics?
Also, did they recreate our heretek powerblade? Or simply incorporate it into the new arm?
>>

>Also, did they recreate our heretek powerblade? Or simply incorporate it into the new arm?
We gotta talk to the Skiitari, cause we don't know.

Our armor and robes are probably at the temple
>>
>>39529584
>cause we don't know.
Well we can examine it ourselves...? I'd feel more comfortable manually checking than asking someone else what they did with our off-the-books powerblade.
>>
>>39529638
Thing is the mucked with all our stuff, which will take a while to notice changes on. Plus we still need armor and robes.
>>
>>39529653
Right, but we can deliberately examine our powerblade. It's not like we have to wait until we use to realise it's different/missing/etc
>>
>>39529681
We might not even have a powerblade, Or the controls are different, or a hundred other things. We're going to ask what changes are made, not what they did with them. The fact we're get our bionics back and we aren't in a cell means they either didn't notice or didn't care.
>>
>>39529711
Or are going to ask for an explanation after we wake. If we check now we can start thinking of excuses based on what we find.

>>
>>39529801
Isn't that a point in my argument's favour?
>>
>>39529876
Not really. If she saw heresy on us it'd be a cell, or blamming. She wouldn't et us have any bionics back, or let us roam the ship.
>>
>>39529395
With your bionics and your complete power back on you manage to get the rest of your weapons and armor and equip them from the biometric chest.

You are back into your former glory, even better, now your arms and legs, your tools and weapons to both craft and destroy are decorated with vigils and mechanical chants. You were now an instrument, a weapon and a symbol of the Omnissiah.

The flamer pistol of your left forearm wasn't barely altered, maybe because in such a weapon technicality was over appearance or maybe because the sturdy and covered weapon managed to survive the rusting effects, installing an older machine spirit into a newer encasement was considered pretty much more sacred than decorations.

You unsheathed your powerblade and noticed it different, it seemed that they had to forge it again and thus the blade looked multicolored as if it had a rainbow trapped among its folds. Besides the material and smelting technique it seemed that they respected the design and functionality, they didn't noticed that the sword was built with heretical blueprints and simply thought that it was legal, ironically due to a loophole as a separate Cathedral had built it then it was considered legal since they didn't saw anything wrong with it.

It all the same yet different, the same armor but different appearance and materials, and that also applied to your weapons and bionics, you felt like always but also unease because you didn't knew the parameters of your new body parts. Not until you examined yourself properly.

>Head towards the Skitarii temple and question them
You walk and look at how the people move away to leave you space and even bow to you. In the techpriest temple you confidently open the heavy doors and feel happy with yourself for being able to do it when you had problems to do it in the past.
>>
>>39529931

Once inside you advanced and the respect effect augmented at least twofold, the servitors were programmed to stop on their tracks to avoid collision and they along with the regular Skitarii bowed to your presence.

Some of them were still wearing flamers and also ported rebreathers or gas masks, it seemed that their use when fighting the enemy and cleaning them inspired them to continue with the use of flame weapons in the future. There were some new faces along them, regular techpriests that decided to enroll now that you were the leader and that the gladiatorial fights were a thing of the past.

Among the older students there were more healthy looking bodies and generally more smiles on their faces. Now that their bodies were feed they could start gaining body mass and become true warriors, if the old leader, Anabelle, still continued guiding this temple those young and weak students would have been doomed to stay as mere punching bags for the rest of their short and painful lives.

Eugen also followed the same path and she now looked way more healthy and cheerful. She was next to the other Skitarius that helped you, Faust. They both had exchanged their bodies to look more regular and the two now had bionic arms and legs instead of only weapons.

"It is nice to see you finally, boss." Says Faust cheerful. "I was planning to become the leader if you didn't showed up you know?" He jokes while raising his arms towards you to make clear that he means no harm.
>>
>>39530222

"Enrollments is in the highest numbers since....well since Anabelle came. " Added Eugen. "And seems that we will soon have another little warrior in our temple..."

With this said Eugen softly patted her stomach and looked at Faust. The Skitarii pairings was something not unheard of, in some temples it was virtually nonexistent but in others the sexual organs were kept totally untouched because they wanted warriors that breed warriors. You congratulated them for the incoming baby and then meditated about what to ask.

>Ask them about how the enemy purging went.
>Ask them about what happened with the deceased students and Skitarii.
>Ask them about what they discovered in the frigate's Cathedral.
>Ask them about how has the Skitarii temple evolved while you were unconscious.

>Compliment them on their new bionics and healthier appearance

"I think that your new bionics look good on you two. Regular human forms are way more versatile and useful than implanted weapons. I will try to teach this to the students and maybe reuse the weapons on the Combat-Servitors, it's not like they will need to use their hands or arms anymore anyway."

The couple agree and share a few stories about how hard their lives were before doing it and how stupid they feel now. Eugen had trouble to open doors and using the toilet was a complete torture for her, Faust with his tentacle arm and his clawed hand had trouble to eat and clothe and to much of the distaste of the future mother of his offspring he ended admitting that he ended wearing the same robe or shoes for weeks to avoid dressing up again.

>Ask them about how the enemy purging went.

"How was the purging? Was it hard? Was there any casualty?"

"Since she had already experience with the enemy she lead the purging vanguard, I stood in the rear and cleaned what the missed." Said Faust.

"Luckily for me there were no more of those dead, sick fetuses." She immediately placed one hand on her womb, maybe worried of her miscarrying and their future baby looking somewhat like that.

That phrase made you meditate. The rats were already on the ship and the insects came from the hives along with the trees but were did those daemons come from...could it be that Kankrinious when was in control of Wilhelmina's body used its powers to make her breed and give birth to those things? The possibility of that made you shiver, thing that they noticed but you blamed to some cold current.
>>
>>39530748

"I think we did a pretty good job. Once the sacred Geller Field activated and restored the Hives, Wasps and Trees became unable to regrow. We burned them all until they were nothing but a black pile of ash and then remotely opened all the doors and airlocks, it all flew away down to the last speck of dust. It continues airless today but we have managed to send expedition teams to retrieve information and objects."

"About the casualties we can proudly say that they were no more casualties, not even servitor ones."

You praised them and continued with the questioning.

>Ask them about what happened with the deceased students and Skitarii.

"Well...since it was a viral infection the problem we were dealing with they all had to be sealed and cremated. With the exception of Wilhelmina...her body never appeared. Anyway, their ashes are now encapsulated, those capsules might get buried inside the walls, floors or columns, becoming that way part of the Temple." Said Eugen.

It was obvious that she knew something had happened with Wilhelmina, her body never appeared and you decided to call the ship "Wilhelmina's Sacrifice"...she didn't dared to ask anyway.

"We can proudly say that of those deceased persons we have been able to recover a 98% of their bionics, the smelting techniques in this school makes very heat resistant metals." Said Faust to break the uncomfortable silence that formed suddenly.

You nodded and were grateful that at least the technology could be saved.
>>
>>39530916
>Ask them about what they discovered in the frigate's Cathedral.
"What about the Cathedral and it's technology?"

"We don't know the origin of this frigate nor what Adeptus Mechanicus temple it was linked tho but its technology is really interesting. It's forge world could be one were petroleum components are scarce but the crystals and diamonds are abundant. Since they didn't had the resources to make the plastics that cover the copper cables they instead used lasers and lenses that streamed a light and served as a connection able to transmit data."

"The speed of transmission is pretty much the speed of light, it requires more maintenance but it can be worth the effort, besides if the lenses are overcharged they can be used to shoot a laser beam from the palm if they are fitted to do so or to distribute the residual heat and turn them into melta-fists!" Faust seemed to be really excited about this technology, he would surely get a pair of those arms when they mastered their crafting.

Here is the proof that laser transmission is possible and not some sci-fi bullshit that I made up: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=15Jfv3zraLc

"Anything besides the arms?" You asked.

"Yes yes." Said Eugen. "It seems that obviously they also used that technology in the creation of laser weapons, we are now trying to decrypt their blueprints, it will be done at any time now, impossible to say. They also were some notes around about the creation of a neurotoxin, they are incomplete thought. I think there are also more blueprints or so but I don't know them all, the regular techrpriests were the ones that got care of them."
>>
>>39531176
>Ask them about how has the Skitarii temple evolved while you were unconscious.

"How much did this temple change while I was out?"

The couple looked at each other and then shrugged.

"Well its only has been a couple of weeks. We just followed the few orders that you gave us. Everybody is feed equally now and there are no more gladiatorial fights. There were some few ones that disliked the changes because with Anabelle they were on top of the pyramid and they felt as if their rights and lifestyle were being attacked." Said Eugen.

"And what happened with them?"

"Well they were very few ones, the others saw you as a good leader that almost died for them. If any of those dared to propose the return of Anabelle he was shunned and ignored, most of those Skitarii were people that didn't understood the difference between fear and respect and they weren't used to be completely invisible for the rest instead of feared so they turned violent. When this happened they broke your rules and thus they were sent to the Penitatoriums, one was even turned into a servitor due to the repeated violence outburst it had." She continued.

"Even those jock idiots ended understanding that they couldn't win. Best thing they could do is adapt to the new leader and discipline. Besides your sole presence pretty much kills any chance of repression. It's easy to be cocky when the person you oppose is limp and comatose but now that you are back and as powerful as ever? They wouldn't even dare to oppose you."

It was good to know, it seemed that pretty much everybody respected you and your orders. It was an excellent thing.
>>
>>39531487
No need to outright ban gladiatorial matches, just limit how murdery they are and how pieces that get cut off stay behind.

Also yeah, we can now focus on a less aggressive and more efficient training approach to get the skitarii into a true fighting fashion without having a significant mortality rate.
>>
>>39531487
>Ask them about the present state of the other ship. Is it fully repaired yet, what are the stocks like, etc

"As said before." Started Eugen. "The ship is now with all the airlocks and doors opened. It is repaired to a 98% there have been a couple of pieces that we couldn't recreate on this Cruiser but they aren't vital and thus the ship is completely functional. About the stocks they are pretty low. The ship wouldn't two weeks with normal crew capacity in space. Most food as rotten away and the water was also pumped out to avoid any biological risk. The LN deposits are at about one third of their capacity...I wouldn't dare to fly on it, it would be a functioning and safe tomb were death by starvation would become inevitable."

Well, technically the Inquisitor only wanted a repaired and clean ship, besides she surely knew about how empty its stocks were by now. With this said you wished them good luck and genetics with their future human project and then stood up.

>I'm sorry but I'll end it for today. The next thread will start with him going to ask the Inquisitor.

Also very excited for whats in store for the next 'arc'. Doing great so far. If some things had gone worse what was the point where the frigate got cut off at would you say? We need to train them in squad based fighting tactics at some point. 1v1 is all great and that but really doesn't transfer that well.
>>
>>39531560
My vote is that sparring and combat are allowed, but non lethal and there is no penalty for losing. It's an opportunity to gain experience, to reflect on why one lost, and to improve as a result. Also, no wasting bionics b just leaving them there. They might be used as improvised weapons in the arena anyways.
>>
We need to start emphasizing squad tactics... LAZER TAG TIEM?
>>
>>39531705
>Can we have options in a future thread what we would like to try outfitting our skitarii with
Yes. I have this half planned. There will be mentalities to choose from like; "Survival of the Fittest" ( They have a pyramidal division and the strong ones rule over the weak ), "Invisible Threat" (Focusing on stealth and also sabotage), "Elemental War" ( They divide in groups each focused in one of the various elements, the main ones are electricity, ice/water, and fire but there are more uncommon ones like poison or even void. If this is choosen the Skitarii will divide into an element of their choosing and focus their protection and weaponry towards that element)

After the schools mentality you could choose if they are use heavy or light armors, if they focus on short or long range, if they use troops or vehicles etc..

It will be pretty much similar to when we get bionics, a list of possibilities to choose from.

>Also very excited for whats in store for the next 'arc'.
I don't know if the word arc serves the way it does in spanish. Anyway now that I think about it since the Skitarii are pretty much our own personal army I could also add them. In the future it will be IG Pandoríkan Esprits Regiment & Plinian Penal Firehearts & Anima Æterna Skitarii VS Xenos Ngggghh I WANT TO SAY WHAT XENOS RACE SO BAD BUT I DONT WANT TO SPOIL IT
