The shadows nod or sigh, but they agree with his judgement. Once he is wearing his robe over his night clothes (just some comfy pants, as the weather this close to summer are hot in these mountains), he goes back and smooches Athena, then Zoe.

"I will be back in a little bit"

His little sisters curl up around eachother and don't seem to mind. Zoe hugs Athena by the waist and sinks her face in her hair.

Taking the everburning candle with him out into the hallway, he makes his way to the princess room.

*knock knock*

"Yes, wait a moment" -says Mako as she walks over to open up.

There's a rustle of small, soft feet over the polished wooden floor.

"Where did you g- ah!" -the beautiful black haired princess freezes as bit as she looks at Eldric.

Eldric freezes for a moment as he looks at her through the door slit. She is wearing a soft corset of lace and silk with delicate, small side tie panties.

The door closes with a soft *click* and he can HEAR her blush inside the room.

A few seconds pass

"Mako? I need to talk with you" -he says at the door
"No!" -comes the immediate answer
"It's important"
"My sister is a meanie!" -Eldric can hear her blush harder

"E-eep!" -comes the sound from across the door. It is really fun to hear her blush, but it would be better to watch her.

Again, a few seconds pass by

Again, the sound of soft feet on the wooden floor, and some rustling.

"Alright. P-please come in" -she opens the door while wrapped in one of the bed's sheets like a robe

She focused more on hiding her upper body, so her legs are exposed almost all the way up to her hips. Does this mean her sense of shame doesn't include her legs as much as the rest of her? certainly, the dresses back at the court seemed to be much more ornated around the upper body, and casual from the waist down, but...

Well, it's a nice and fresh sight, so Eldric is not going to point it out and make her conscious about it.

"Well Mako, you'll see..." -Eldric begins explaining while Mako sits on the bed and pulls her legs under her body

As he continues, she becomes less concerned with embarrasment, and more worried about Ami and Mai.

Ah, she finally drops the sheet around her, completely focused on the subject at hand... she's really growing into a shapely beauty. It's to the point it is almost troublesome.

But just as lewder thought are about to enter Eldric's mind, her eyes fill up with tears, and he completely forgets about that.

"B-but... I don't want them to get hurt because of me!" -ah, her clear tears fall softly unto the bed and become pearls. We hadn't seen her cry for a long while.

Well, Ami and Mai are, in many ways, even more of a family to her than her own sister. Obviously, she does not approve.

Ami and Mai come out from the shadows on the roof and land gracefully on the floor

Mako is hiccuping a little bit as she clings to the sheets.

"Yes" -they agree to it, and Eldric gets up to leave

"t-thankyou for telling me" -says Mako softly in between hiccups

Eldric leans over and gives her a soft kiss before he leaves. The shadows hug the princess as he closes the door.

"You know, why not just use the coalition enchanting method so you don't need curses to power their collars? you guys designed it just for that sort of thing, right? gathering a LOT of power over a period of time instead of having to pay it all at once. No need for a curse that way" -says Lyann as soon as Eldric closes the door

She is standing in the gloomy hallway, wearing a soft, short silk robe. By the way it clings to her nubile figure, it is easy to guess she was in bed.

"Thank you, Frodo" -sighs Eldric
"Who?"
"Nevermind that. It's not a bad idea on the long run, but something that strong would take 5 years or more to be completed. I suspect they were hoping for something more immediate"
"Well, can't you start making some of those right now? there is no hurry, right?"
"I guess so..." -he gives her a kiss- "It is bad manners to spy on other people's conversations like that, you know?"

I can imagine it now 20,000 years into the future a young light bringer gets lost on the family estate falls into a crypt guarded by a old chess playing golem. after defeating the guard the tomb revivals a laboratory still free of dust, and the last project Eridc and Okaba made and thus Bat man is born.

depends on the items. If you had it enchanting fine swords with a simple enchantment, sure why not?

If you had it made immortality rings (could be earrings, whatever) it would just be around 20 or so

Wouldnt it be more like finding a sword in the stone/tree? and the stone is actually the mana generator/enchanting machine and nobody knows or cares about it, and everyone is all "ooooh" and "wow" over the sword.

Its not a problem of weight, its a matter of conscience.

(ie Eldric could easily carry them both like potatoes on his shoulders, but that just feels so wrong)

So he gently picks up his golden-haired little sister in a princess carry, and takes her to her room, placing a large plushie next to her so she can cuddle up to it before gicing her a smooch on the sheek and going back for Zoe.

Incidentally, Athena's room is the same size as every other bedroom, but it feels quite vast since she has few ornaments and furniture. The only obviously childlike detail is a small, low white table of polished, soft wood with tiny chairs around it to have tea with her favorite plushies and visitors.

When it is Zoe's turn, she makes things harder by clinging to his neck when he tries to lower her unto her bed.

"Zoe, let go for a moment"
"Nuh, you'll be gone" -she says softly and clings harder
"Alright, just a little bit"
"Yaaay" -she purrs as he slips into the bed with her, then squeezes herself against him as she clings with arms and legs

He eventually manages to replace himself with a large pillow, and smooches her forehead before covering her with the sheets.

Zoe's room is full of books, from the ABC book Eldric got for her and Stella all the way back in Opal city, to a brand new encyclopedia on healing herbs.

What wall space is not covered in books, is covered in Eldric plushies... it's embarrasing to the point where Eldric feels quite uncomfortable coming into the room.

After a few minutes, Mai opens the door with something like a pout.

"You missed my princess' glorious figure as she was taking a bath, you know?"
"Ah, I am ashamed" -says Eldric apologetically as he looks down with a hand on the back of his head
"D-don't say that, you meanie!" -cries Mako softly, blushing a little bit

She is wearing a light, short summer dress with a long but soft looking overcoat over it. The coat has pink and purple flowers over its white fabric. Her hair is pulled up into two tight buns on each side of her head, giving her a very fresh look (since she usually keeps it loose) and exposing her lovely neck and shoulders.

"Ah, I am ashamed" -Eldric repeats towards her
"Don't be so boring, you need to be more manly!" -says Ami as she hits him (softly) and then closes the door

"Uhmm... have you decided on something? actually, I..."

Eldric mentions how he could make something that would not need a curse, but it would take 5 years to do so. So, the cursed ones would be just temporary measures.

"Oh, that changes things, right princess?" -says Mai as she gently adds a bright, golden decoration to Mako's hair, finishing off the little details of her look for the day
"Oh... I- I think so? then... then, it's just for a little while?"
"I think so, yes" -says Eldric with a smile
"Alright" -she says, smiling as she lifts her hands and makes small fists with them, her pretty face shining as she smiles.

Now, as for today....

It's too bad Miel can't come herself. We should work on expanding the networked journals to work with mirrors so that she can watch adventures. Maybe even create an immersive magical sphere so that she can step into it and feel like she's actually in exotic places with us and her daughters.

"Uwaa-aa" -Stella looks quite happy as Brass pats her head, her tail wagging from side to side
"Have you been well?"
"Yes! I'm eating tasty food everyday now!" -she says with a great smile. Still, it feels kind of sad that the first thing that comes to mind about her happiness is the food, you know?

This gluttonous puppy girl... no, wait, she was a wolf girl to begin with, we just got used to thinking of her like a puppy.

Well, she climbs up into Brass' shoulders, and we treestride back to the orc village.

It is still quite early, but the doors are already open so after greeting the guards, we go in without a problem.

The orcs have several taverns on the main street, specially near to the city doors, so after a quick look, we go inside one that looks quite nice.

There are several customers inside, but it does not feel crowded at all, and the place is quite clean.

It feels quite homely, actually.

Our group draws quite a bit of attention, but we can't complain. We have a black haired human girl, a super rare lion girl, 3 beast men, a honey faery... we really stand like a sore thumb.

For some reason, Brass looks pretty happy... he's actually wagging his tail, and we'd never seen him do that before.

After a couple of moments, a orc waitress comes by and asks us what we would like. If she is beautiful or not... we can't tell. What are the orcs senses of aesthetic like?

We do feel a little bit proud about worrying over other people's perceptions, by the way. Not bad for someone from a world with nothing but humans.

After a few minutes, the waitress comes back with several stacked plates. It smells delish. Then she goes back to the kitchen and comes back with more.... and more... it actually takes several trips.

Yeah, Stella's gluttony it's this guy's fault, isn't it?

"Alright, let's try it out" -says Lyann as she reaches for some scrambled eggs and bread, then prepares a sandwich for Eldric
"Ah... I want to do... that" -says Mako softly

As it turns out, orc cooking its simple, but quite tasty. The eggs have some spice dust on them, which gives them a rather hot taste, but the tea goes perfectly with it.

Thus, while letting the spice flow with the tea, we enjoy a orc-style breakfast, and even though the quantities were so big, we clean it all neatly.

Now we can't move. Too full. How come the two wolves are just fine? wolves only have 1 stomach, right?

'Where DOES the food go to?' -is what we'd like to say, but... Stella is double D plus sized, and Brass is covered in muscle, so we have a fairly good idea on where it goes to.

After breakfast, a cup of camomille tea somehow helps everything on the way down, and we regain our status as mobile beings.

Well, now we should...

I guess that being trapped in a foodgeon is the best place to be trapped? you literally cant run out of food or water as an adventurer.
