Our Current Stats: http://pastebin.com/iahm4JSj (Please have a look at them, but don't feel obligated to read it all in one sitting- use it as a guideline if you're drawing a blank or need some contextual information as I've essentially compiled every piece of information that's relevant to our civilization.) *UPDATED*
Our Current Bestiary: http://pastebin.com/TWY0QfWA (Please have a look, but don't feel obligated to read it in one sitting- it's VERY extensive and currently in "alpha" since I'd like to make an illustrated pdf.) *UPDATED: New Animals and Sapients*
Our Current Resource List: http://pastebin.com/X2EGb3Es (Sloppy)

History tells us during Ancient Times that giants roamed the earth and every proceeding and succeeding race has taken it upon themselves to make their own mirrored vain depictions of "their giants"; but in reality it was the Cyclopes. It has always been the Cyclopes; up from the depths of the ocean, towering over all other races, leaving behind a legacy of wonders and civilizations that would inspire countless species and people to come. This is their story.

>+/- Environmental Development: Water levels have risen slightly.
>It's taken a while for anyone to notice as the change has been subtle and constant, but no one can deny it: The Ocean has risen slightly. Whether it was due to the increased volcanic activity on the south pole causing ice to melt or has something to do with perhaps the rebirth of the Moon.. something is causing the Ocean to very slowly rise.
2nd post inc, please be patient.

YAY!

You're BACK!
>>
>+/- Magical/Scientific Development: The Observatory has been commandeered.
> The Staff currently at the observatory had been previously hard at work: Research towards and both magical and scientific creations and achievements were being developed at a constant and reliable rate thanks to your committed team of Cyclopean attendants. That is until they perfected plant constructions. Something taught to them be Akalade; in true cyclopean fashion they've taken it way out of hand. They've perfected the process and then innovated upon it making small plant humanoids they have stylized as servants that wait on them hand and foot. The Cyclopes quickly became NEETS and refuse to leave: they are however continuing to produce a number of interesting and high quality goods; arcane constructions, weapons, parts, that are all shipped out by little plant people.

>+ Political Development: Akalade sends his well wishes.
>Only a month after Akalade's trip to the moon did you finally receive a message from him across space and time: he tells your sages of the moon; once a beautiful monochrome world of crystal clear waters, serene skies, open pastures, white grass, gentle winds, and wondrous crystal palaces. He tells you how the Elves had resorted to recycling their own waste to consume for sustenance, how they had fallen into stagnation and most of the populous was in deep freeze, how the environmentally devastated world was barren and now how it flourishes and buds with new lunar life. He tells you he will put them back to work and how he will enjoy it immensely; their delicate hands will blister as he edges them on to reclaim their heritage and society.

>+/- Game Mechanic Developemnt: The Demi-Gods will return near the end of our session
>In order for your Civilization to take the "spot-light" and to give us some room for "catch up" developments: we'll save their return for "later".

You've seen them many times before, but they've never bothered your people; they seem to only display visible aggression towards the Changelings, but this doesn't take into account the number of times they've stolen from you.
The Ant People.
They're small, small enough to fit in your hands; black chitin, sometimes red, they march tirelessly and you often see the tips of their spears and the tops of their heads as they wade through the long grass of the plains. You attempt to parlay with the Ant people.

You try to talk to them: they are incapable of verbal speech.
You attempt charades: they give the tips of your fingers a very gentle squeeze with their mandibles, but otherwise do not acknowledge your attempts at communication.
You give them small scraps of food as thanks for their cooperation: they give your fingers another tiny squeeze before walking away.

>Near Complete Success. -Cultural limitations.

Gorgons already have a strong presence in the Alchemy industry; their small, delicate, long-nailed little reptilian hands are much more suited to the sophisticated and delicate work required within Alchemy and they are not burdened by a cultural heritage of loud, boisterous magical practices.

Your Gorgons however are: They have the hands for it, but the culture isn't there. Your Gorgons take after their Cyclopean Daddies and Mommies: their souls are loud, their magics are blatant, and alchemy can be at times "messy" if not impossible due to the constant blasting of their blatant hymns within their hearts and minds- such is the power of cultural heritage. The irony however is that Alchemy has become something of an "aged" profession. It attracts people who have been given patience through age: Grandmothers and Grandfathers have seen their souls grow dim have taken a quiet solace and satisfaction with the practice of alchemy. It has given them purpose and practice; most starting out as hobbyists, but later becoming professionals as the market and public make demand of their skills.

>Near Complete Success.

Your Diplomats and Emissaries are immediately welcomed and met on the docks of the southern continent; it seems the South has business to discuss with you and they have eagerly awaited the arrival of your officials to discuss something with your people.
After a brief lunch of drinks, whale barbecue, and catching up on the latest Cyclopean gossip they are quickly escorted to the Volcanic Foundry where in resides some of the greatest engineers and smith workers your species has ever produced. "We know you haven't been aware of current global happenings with your country involved in the utmost important spiritual affairs- and by all means we understand completely, but there's been growing concerns with the attitude and development of the other races: The Changelings and the Kenku."

Your Assemble is brought over to the Foundries docks; they bare witness to massive constructions of wood, steal, and iron and the constant clattering and symphony of industry, smoke bellowing, and an exclusive workforce composed entirely of Cyclopean minds. "We've gathered laborers, engineers, elementalists, blacksmiths, and craftsmen from the four corners of the continent and artisans as far north as the olive isles to this very foundry; we're going to make world history, Cousins."

They guide your people over to their current creation: a scaffolding overlooking a frame of steel and iron construction that bears the resemblance of a rib-cage. Plans and Schematics are laid out in Bamboo scrolls and silk papers and your party is welcomed by a committee of soot-stained engineers with bright eyes. "This is an Iron ship; it will be equipped with the latest in blackpowder weaponry, be able to carry TONS in supplies and goods. Ships of Iron such as these will allow our Species to Dominate all the Waters of this World."

You receive a full tour of the entire foundry: The entire volcano has been turned into a small city focused around the production of Iron goods. Almost every building and structure is focused around the sole goal of production: endless foundries, smelters, an army of Craftsmen constantly shipping out and producing an endless stream of parts, weapons, arms, and supplies for some great effort... The only solace from all this bellowing smoke and the clattering of industry is a quiet and peaceful "Garden district": housing a large stone monolith wrapped in flags and ribbons in the center and surrounded by a number of bathhouses, restaurants, day cares and residential housing for workers families and children.

The tours final stops are at a tavern where in good food and drink is shared and business is discussed:
>+ Business/Political Development: The South needs Laborers, Food, and Spiritual Assistance.
>The South is willing to offer you exclusive deals on schematics, iron supplies, and military assistance, and they only ask for changes in current trade deals: They want to increase trade with food stuffs: eggs, milk, fruit, sweet potatoes, kelp, etc. They also request the initiation of a foreign worker's program: your society has produced unparalleled farmers, sages, and magi that would provide crucial support towards the South's Volcanic Industry City. They do not have the time nor skill to farm the volcanic acres of their island city and their society is rife with spiritual dissatisfaction and pollution- the price they've paid due to en-masse industrialization.

To you agree to these terms? Yes? No? would you like to Discuss them?
>>
>>39570533
Yes

But in return we should ask for greater political cooperation. Perhaps let it start with annual meetings.
>>
>>39570533
Agree. This is a straight up cross migration between the two sides.

However, we should probably implement zoning laws. Bringing industry like this to our lands unregulated will be dangerous for our environment.

As such, it's probably better if we let the south be the industrial hub but as
>>39570584
Ask for greater political cooperation.
>>
>>39570533
Yes, but along with greater political cooperation in caveat let's ask that they send some workers to show us what they know about iron working, scholars to tell us of their history.

The inner hippie in me is cautious. We don't have many enemies, but we don't have any Powerful friends.

>Unanimous approval with a few Caveats.

The South is beyond elated with your cooperation and they exclaim they knew they could always count on their fellow Cyclopes; they're even more pleased that you wish to exchange cultural history and practices with one another and are more than happy to add it to the exchange as welcoming you to the Industrial summit committee.

>+New Political and Economical Development: Currency increased.
>Your Currency has increased in value: 1 Ivory ring (IR) = 15 Kenku gold pieces or 30 bronze pieces or 75 copper pieces. 1 Ivory ring(IR) = 1 IP (it is now on par with the South's Iron Currency)

>+New Political and Economical Development: Ownership of the Volcanic islands farms
>Your civilization now owns and operates the farmland of the South's Volcanic island: Work has begun immediately and many farmers and gardeners are eager to begin planting trees and making a name for themselves as the volcanic soil is rich, fertile, and untouched. Hunters have also showed up though; the place is still a rookery for Dragons.

>High end Success +/- Biased Assistance of the South.

The South isn't as invested in wildlife as your culture is: they invest a lot of time, money and resources into keeping it AWAY from their villages and cities and this is all the assistance they can provide to you. They teach your Farmers and Hunters how to make various burning fat and oil mixtures that produce a scent that Wyverns and Dragons find incredibly unpleasant and they also instruct them on proper identification and how to find/be on the look out for nests and burrows.

The south however is gracious enough to provide you with an entire herd of their most dependable and delicious livestock: The Giant Maui

>+New Livestock+: Giant Maui
>The Giant Maui is a gigantic goose that stands about 5-6ft tall with it's next extended out: it is a dumb and goofy flightless bird that is HORRENDOUSLY delicious and was only recently domesticated in contemporary times. It provides Eggs, Meat, and it's feathers and down are indispensable for pillows and insulated blankets. Giant Maui come in three colourations: Black, Red, and Teal.

I was thinking of pushing rituals of adulthood in the next voting round. Basic stuff that teenagers would undertake to enter into adulthood and receive their first tatoos, trials like climbing the volcano and meditating there, crafting a canoe from a tree you harvest yourself and then rowing out into the sea and catching fish so that our civ doesn't get too fat and lazy now that a large part of the population is city dwelling.

Maybe some extra hard ones to help encourage the creation of new heroes too.

What do you guys think?

>Make machines to make production of goods easier maybe the Spinning wheel or the Potter's wheel.
>Roll 86/100
>High End Success, +/- Cultural motivation: Lazy'ness
((The potter and spinning wheel are already sort of invented; they're just sort of taken for granted))

The islands have produced people that are thoroughly lazy as has been demonstrated by the industrial progress and innovation witness within the south: Your people do not like "hard work" and they are more motivated and de-motivated by their personal goals, hobbies, and past-times than actual honest to god hard work.

This has translated into a unique style of work ethic that even the south is quick to adapt: Assemblee management. Your people through out history have solved their public problems by constantly cycling through the uninterested with the interested as projects and commissions ships ownership potentially dozens of times. This.. doesn't always guarantee "quality", but it does guarantee increased production: individuals breaking up to craft or work on individual pieces or parts of a project.

Though, one new invention has been made:
>+Technological development: Trip Hammer
>The Trip hammer is large hammering machine that is powdered by a large wheel spun by wind or water and then controlled by a foot pedal. One steps on the pedal and the Hammer, hammers. This device has obvious industrial purposes, but your people have seen it used for agricultural and fabric production as well.
>>
>>39572332
Population is too large for that sort of thing.

You need something symbolic, like a hymn ceremony that resonates with people.
>>
>>39572431
I'd still like it to include SOME sort of strenuous physical or mental activity though.

Any suggestions on different rituals?
>>
>>39572332
Like >>39572431 said we are too big for that sort of thing. Its very much a "single Kingdom" or Village or tribe style thing to invent. You gotta think bigger. We need to create a "new office" or New profession with which to tie into adulthood.

"Join the Army Today!" is basically one of those things that begs people to "do it! Man up! It'll make a man out of you."

Something more applicable to our civ might be Spell smithing, Hymns, or going to college. But a lot of that is doing stuff we do already..

>>39572567

I'd say lets make it a Pilgrimage of some sort. encourage prospective youngsters to head out into the world. A youngster from the Home Islands going to the Plains to settle would be a dramatic transition. A Plains/Myceas grove settling into the south pole or going to trade with kenku in person would be harrowing.

All this might help us settle lands, or engender good will/communication with foreigners.
>>
>>39572567
Just get them to sing a hymm that expresses their magic or physical potency as an individual or something. Its strenuous, useful and easy to do on a mass population scale.
>>
>>39572623
While an interesting thought, getting young adults to wander around is really stupid what with our knowledge of slavers working on our species.
>>
>>39572670
I forgot about that. But I still dont think its a big deal breaker. A lot of our early strides with the gorgons was made through Pilgrimages to their cities wherein we tried to fix things up and make their lives better. Maybe something of a similar bent could be in order. Good samaritian trips. If slavery is a problem encourage them to be abolitionists. If Poverty is a problem, you go out on pilgrimage to help out.

There is one thing the Parrats have manage to retain in their long, tired, history of subjugation and un-consenting creation: their sense almost rat-like nature of secrecy: your people are not able to find the current indigenous home of the Sapient Parrats and it seems it might elude you for a while, but one thing your people are able to find is the ones you've released.
They hadn't actually gone to the City like the Kenku had predicted; they've been living inside the Greenhouse by the observatory in a small discreet and hidden shanty town of their own construction that resembles just a conglomeration of woven nests in some trees.

They can only see them through the Glass though: The Plant constructs politely insist that no one is to disturb their masters work and that includes any intrusion into the greenhouses Gardens. Even more annoying is the plant servants do not seem to identify the parrats as intruders and accept them as denizens of the greenhouse.

The Salt in your wounds though was you've seen first hand the plant servants brushing, feeding, providing warm rocks, sowing the parrats small articles of clothing and allowing them to come and go from the greenhouse as they please.

Parrats don't really have a "god" that is their patron. We gave them sentience by accident, so if someones their god its us.

The Parrats however have created a god. Its not "their own" god but it was birthed from their actions at the end of the Parrat Purge.

Abyzousithis The Pale Lady and Goddess of Misscarriages, Revenge, and Rotten Eggs. Birthed when the first Manaia cursed an entire generation of gorgon eggs to die, Old Testament Style.

She is their god.

Well thats what he is. A spirit. There have been multiples of him.

There's something... weird going on about the nature of spirits and gods and demons and monsters in this setting.

Spirits and monsters are physical expressions of some collective dreamscape as forged by us. Like a sentient's belief or soul feeds gods or creates spirits.

Demons Demigods and Gods, are bigger more singular versions of spirits and monsters.

Pic sort of related.

Your Sages try to commune with their Adolescent Demi-gods; perhaps even open communications with the more experienced Demi-gods as well. Instruments are brought, the Monoliths are activated, and much is had to drink as the Hymns sound out and a symphony to the stars sends out cosmic cacophonies to the farthest reaches upon the realms of stars and dreams.

The Stars begin to align and shine down a spotlight as is tradition, but the light does not bring comfort; it is cold, clammy, it is uncomfortable and seems to suck the happiness and cheer out of it's summoners and audience as a great wave of shame and sadness washes over them. The Gorgons among your Sage council cannot experience the light; it disgusts and deprives them of all happiness and brings forth feelings of ingrained and ancient suffering.

We might need to look at the fundamental elements to magic and magical creatures.

Mana, and Souls. As Mana is basically Primordial Ooze, it heals sustains, and creates physical life. Souls, which are created by life, i assume, are basically Mana for spiritual beings. Souls Heal, sustain, and may possibly create Spiritual Lifeforms.

The Spotlight feeds into a long flowing gown that hides most of her lower body and stops at her collar. From there her collar grows forth a mane of short, fat, featureless tentacles while her form is that of a very delicate and wide-eyed female. Her eyes are large and expressive, marked by distinctive red rings, and very sensitive irises that constantly widen and shrink as she peers around. Her hair is long, straight, and gray; with the odd soft, fat, floppy tentacle extending forth from her head that is topped by one asymetric black, ivory-like, curved, horn from one side of her forehead.
Her most distinct features though are her crab-like claws, she possess two pairs: One pair that grow from her shoulder blades- they are small, pitiable, and vestigial. The other pair grow right out from her wrists and appear to have consumed her thumbs, pointer and pinky fingers- leaving only her two middle fingers left behind.

Her face is soft and sad; every breath she takes is almost into itself a sigh of discomfort as her large breasts lift and lower the soft tentacles that rest upon it.

She seems to visibly wince at the sight of Gorgons, "Y-yes?".

Oh this is awkward.

Let's start by doing introductions, give her some time to adjust along with the gorgons. Explain her origin as we know it and ask if that's about the right of it, and then let her know she's part of what we consider to be our family, and we want to help in any way we can

Basic cyclopian love and understanding schtick
>>
>>39573483
Mycea and Moon Lady have suggested Bigger Souls are more valuable, but everything has a soul. Cyclops has a Soul, Elephant has a Soul, Celery probably has a Soul. They all have souls they just... fall lower on the hierarchy.

Cyclops Soul is more potent than Elephant Soul, and Elephant Soul more potent than Celery Soul. They still all feed this spiritual otherworld though, and create spiritual life of their own, how else do you explain "Plant Spirits" or Mycea.

I wonder if she has control over her domain and can induce or prevent miscarriage maybe?

What can demigods do?
>>
>Did we physically summon her? Or are we ringing her up on Ghost Phone?

She's being astrally projected; this is an in-between process that basically amounts to a spiritual skype video call. You used to do this all the time when you didn't know the Gods so personally.

>Start with Introductions: provide her with food, something to drink, etc..

Even though you did not mean to summon her your hospitality knows no bounds: she's provided with a large saucer of Mana and some Fruit as per tradition, but she very sheepishly requests Milk as well and your people are all too happy to oblige. She does not want you to touch her. She seems very uncomfortable with being physically touched. You respect her wishes.

When both sides feel comfortable you begin your questionnaire:
>Has she ever been contacted by mortals before?
She shakes her head and hides behind her claws. This is the first time she's been summoned.
>What was she doing in the period between her creation and her search for the hydra mother?
She answers without confidence, "You know.. just hanging around.."
>Has she met anyone we don't know of, like gods of different cultures and races? What are they like?
She nods her head. "Yes, they're.. okay."

>How is Foliatium?
She blushes, at least you think she blushes; her chalk white face flushes and you see a little smile behind those claws. "Foliatom is nice."
> You guys on the way to Moon Lady's lunar Ball-stravaganza?
She shakes her head, but the smile doesn't go away; she instead shows her face more comfortably. "The Ball was Nice."

The ritual projection is very briefly interrupted by the presence of a shadow and numerous peering eyes like stars and a mouth spreading open to reveal teeth and one large singular eye. Abyzousithis pushes it away, holding back a giggle, "S-top, stop! They summoned me! You should have stayed still!" You recognize a muffled, echoing call within your minds, "Hey." Foliatom says hey.
>>
>>39574100
I feel Gods are the only things that can exert control Remotely.
Demigods might have to be in person to do stuff.

For example, Sun God can give us a great big lightning bolt without having to shift his ass over here, and stars can provide assistance with "giving birth" and what not. But Demigods like Hydra Mother or Mycea have to be in person to exert control or blessings. Hydramother sends hydra maidens to people, Mycea fires magic Life spores. But I may be making wild assumptions again.

>wait....did you do the description of "tentacles" near her mouth (if im not mistaken...basically a cthulu girl for lack of better words) on purpose? to be "polar opposite" of the gorgons?

>How'd it go? They manage to get into contact with HM?

The Darkness surrounds Abyzousithis and the pupils of dozens of un-blinking, staring, eyes start shifting back and forth as they slither around in the spotlight of darkness. "We Did. It was Great. I introduced her to Mom and they both hit it off. Mom loved the knife you made me- she said she wasn't expecting that level of irony and self-awareness out of you guys-" Your guest becomes fuzzy and the spotlight fades just a little; her little black blush has started to become more explicit (sorry, meant to say she blushes black, she has black "Blood") as she pushes away the shroud of darkness. "Aaah, Foliatom, come on- you're embarrassing me in front of the mortals. This isn't a group Call, get out of my summoning circle!!"

She manages to cut off Foliatom as he ends his sentence with, "Don't go in my Room!"
She raises the long, open, sleeve of her robe to make a quiet little 'ahem' and regain some of her composure; her mood dramatically improved having most likely believed she had been separated from her friend due to the summoning. "Yes, per her Lunar Highnesses request; myself and Foliatom will be returning shortly to dwell within the physical world. We will also be bringing Mistress Orochidina with us."

The otherworldly spotlight begins to fade and her image starts de-materializing as the light breaks up, shatters, and wafts away- before she goes however the oldest Cyclopean sages present frantically try to explain the importance of sexual education through a mix of shouting and charades; they feel it is important the two do not rush into things even if Foliatom is a kind and responsible young demigod.

Abyzousithis poofs away completely embarrassed; Foliatom however sends a psychic echoe across space and time, crafting the sages memories and thoughts to share with them a psychic thumbs up.

>HOT DUBS: Catastrophic and interesting failure.

She comes to your people upon the waves; you aimed for diplomacy, but diplomacy isn't exactly what happened. She's grown tall, beautiful, and toned; her tail is a thing of precision, beauty, and hard muscle. Zetoscea has come to meet your people on the shores of your home island and she does not look pleased.

She seems more impatient than usual. "Sup Boys, what's going on? You called me over? Wanted to talk?" You present her and her people with a few gifts: Mana, Fruit, Meat.. she accepts and eats it out of respect and to mind her manners.. >>39575095
She turns down the Armor and the netting, but she is extremely impressed with the Trident you produced and graciously as possible accepts the gift. Her people motion for her to speak up; she rolls her shoulders and nervously writhes her hands around her tail.

"You've notice the Waters rising, correct? That's caused by something. Something Alive. The Leviathan is coming: His every movement is the waves, he brings with him the tides. He is water. He is the Sea." She slowly rises up and her people start slinking back into the ocean.

"I wasn't going to worry your people about it since he'll be moving through the "deep" ocean and you won't see anything of him but perhaps the coming storm he'll bring, but.. whatever. You've been warned." She crawls into the ocean and laying on her back before she sinks into the depths, "I've always seen your species as goofy and unreliable: just stay out of the way."

We do not want to be ground zero for a conflict between them.

Seriously. No. Let's avoid it if at all possible.

Do not communicate with it, do not attract it's attention, let it PASS and deal with the inevitable shit that'll happen from it just passing the fuck by.

Your people have always found slavery disgusting; they're lazy for sure, but something deep in the heart of your species collective consciousness just makes them feel uneasy with the entire prospect. You don't like being "commanded" and you don't like commanding others; you're a sort of casually asocial kind of species in a way.

This has lead to an enormous anti-slavery sentiment among your people and you've been spreading it across your territory with some success; the biggest ground you've broken though is with that of the southern continent. The Southern Cyclopes find slavery disgusting, but more so with regards that any species that requires "slaves" is obviously too weak or inept to do the work of slaves themselves. "Self importance is an excuse only made by the weak and the unskilled; any Cyclopes knows a kingdom at it's whole draws strength from the peoples collective will to do their own work for the betterment of the whole: One eye knows supremacy, and the many singular eyes accentuate that dominance."

>+Political Development: Anti-Slavery Coalition with the south
>The South Agrees that they will refuse any commissions or trade agreements with slave owning civilizations and species; they will also do what they can to inhibit and free what slaves they can find, but they make no promise in terms of meddling with external or foreign affairs.
>The South is very exclusive: They seem to only deal with other Cyclopes. You get the feeling they would like it if you did too.

not gonna happen
we love our gorgon sisters too much and we want to see all species live together as one

I'm not scared of a story. I'm scared of history. Those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it. It was not that long ago when the Great Progenitor was slain and the first epoch truly ended. The Zizz descended on the plains and scoured them clean, the Ant People were reduced in numbers and we were able to move in fully.

That was a civilization that was large enough to destroy the Changeling city states in the region and reduce them to nomadicism. Reduced to nearly -nothing-.

The world is terrible and strange enough without calling trouble down on ourselves.

>Motion to declare the Birth of the 3 Siblings to be the beginning of the "Second Epoch" in terms of our history.
>>
>>39576546
fair enough, all im saying is it could be something totally different from what you expect, this leviathan could hate the merpeople and not hate us, somewhat like the zizz not hating other civs (speculation of course)but relatively speaking hate us
>>
>>39576717
I'm not expecting it to hate us. I'm saying that I don't think it'll be friendly.

It's not a case of hate or dislike even. It's a case of you don't go drawing the attention of a massive predator when you are not certain you can defend yourself from it.

>Devote a Monolith to outsiders and abandoned Gods.
>Roll 75/100
>Completely Even 75/100.
>Odd roll: Interesting Results.

The Audience with Abyzousithis has motivated your people; they find her a sweet and charming girl for the most part.. if albeit a little difficult to look at or experience at times and people have fond memories of other outsiders as well: Akalade and Foliatom for one and now Abyzousthis has made herself known. The sage council unanimously agrees that a Monolith shall be erected to honor so many other worldly friends and the place they deem the most appropriate is the Observatory.

The problem with this plan though is that the observatory is still very much up to it's armpits in plant people: They've since overgrown and extended their reach and now the neighboring village can't leave either. The entire area is just covered in vegetation and the people are at the Mercy of very polite, helpful, and cute little plant people that only want to help.

>Mycea Rolls 73/100

To make matters worse; Mycea has sent a shoot of herself to the location and has been waiting their impatiently to meet up with your council and is giving them a stern talking to. "Oh, okay, I see- so you have a problem with plants and you don't think to tell me about this sooner?" Your sages admit they didn't even think it was a problem and they were just going to ignore it until it solved itself. This seems to annoy her even more.
>>
>>39577060
Well it didn't seem like something to bother her with! We appreciate her help of course but it just seemed too trivial! Besides, they're adorable.

Just drew up pic related just now what do you think?

There's also a version with "THIRD WHEEL" in cyclopean letters over head.

Anyway, with all that out of the way; I think I'll call it a night for an addmittingly "clunky" first session back.

I promise to get the kids back first thing next session, hell; I'll open up the next session with their return.

I hope you guys thought it was alright. I'm willing to admit I'm a bit rusty since it's been a while, but it's good to see you guys coming back.

The Thread has been archived, so please go vote.
I'll be hanging around to answer any questions.

Thanks so much for coming out.

So plant people, Parrats, God kids, and Leviathan? We've got a lot on our plate. Its good to see you back OP. Same time next week?

As for questions;

How is Chip doing? Fine I hope? Should we have tried to ask it in game?

The plant people, what are their origins? Did Akalade or did Foliatom make them?

Whats the state of our sewers/canals? Do we have undergound sewer systems in place? Or no? Cause I might suggest that as the next advancement. Draining water from above ground and what not.

Whats a ballpark figure for our current technological advancement?

Do you have any art requests?
>>
>>39577504
seems a bit like an abrupt place to stop. But I'm not complaining. You're back after all.
>>
>>39577504
did we ever manage to expand our mining operations and metal processing in the mountains? We really need to do that, maybe set up some quarries as well?

What about farming the grains we got from the Kenku? Did we ever start in on that?
>>
>>39577595
>seems a bit like an abrupt place to stop.
It totally is, my pacing is completely off, but we'll be back to our old selves in no time.

>>39577575
>The plant people, what are their origins? Did Akalade or did Foliatom make them?
Your own people at the observatory made them: Akalade showed them how and your people perfected the process. There are now hundreds of little plant humanoids scuttling around doing everything for them.

>How is Chip doing?
Chip has his work cut out for him, but he's handling it pretty well.

>Whats the state of our sewers/canals?
5/10
They're almost at maximum capacity; if it weren't for gong farmers we'd be in deep shit. Literally. The only consolation is that Cyclopes shit and Gorgon Shit isn't as bad as Human Shit.

>Do you have any art requests?
Akalade drawn as the God emperor; sitting on his silver throne on the moon. Think Warhammer. Bonus points if he hasn't grown into his throne or clothing.

>>39577628
>did we ever manage to expand our mining operations and metal processing in the mountains? We really need to do that, maybe set up some quarries as well?
Yes. That happened. The plant outbreak though has halted it and those towns are mostly used to provide material and equipment for the observatory and the Province of Mycea's Grove.
>What about farming the grains we got from the Kenku? Did we ever start in on that?
There's been no interest so far and it'd be an uphill battle: your climate is wrong and you've never farmed grain before. The changelings have though.
>>
>>39577717
>There's been no interest so far and it'd be an uphill battle: your climate is wrong and you've never farmed grain before. The changelings have though.
I was going to suggest farming it on the plains. Where the climate is appropriate.

Gladly. I assume one of the pastebin links has a refresher on his appearance right? Like eureka except with deer horns right? Maybe with some nice stitches along his belly from where he got bisected?
>>

The Card Doc has a little picture of him I'm quite satisfied with

You can also check the Bestiary, etc..
Akalade does though look very much like a male-ish Eureka though.

Are you referring to his appearence on "The Moon" tarot?

I'll use that as reference then. And I'll double check the bestiary. This'll be fun. Might also make good practice for Minor Arcana/art in general too.

Have foliatom and abyzousthis, One wheel less than three. Seriously OP that was the cutest shit I've ever seen.

>Looking forward to further developments with slightly racist Southern cousins!

They've stared out their singular eye onto the harsh, frozen, tundra that is their world and saw nothing like them except themselves, the sun, the moon, and the stars.

Their land has brought them countless hardships in the form of constant fire and ice and in their most desperate times they've sought salvation from seeking within themselves and their identity and solidarity as only grown stronger.

They looked into the white void and only a single eye stared back.
They've gone Snow Blind, Anon.

That pic of yours made me think of Leonard Snart for a moment.

All they had was themselves... But also us. we traded with them and came to them. They've experienced harshness beyond measure yes, but still I dont know if they've had to deal with threats like the progenitor or zizz. we took our threats and dangers and rolled with them in stride.
>>
>>39578152
I'm hoping this cultural exchange will help ease their rough natures
>>
>>39578215
Same here.
I also kind of hope it gives us new problems to tackle. I sort of "crave" the eventual conflict, not so that we can join in, but more... defuse it.

You've no idea what dwells beneath the ice: Lying in quiet dormancy for millennia only to be awoken by their fragile icy seal being broken and ushering in another era of mayhem and chaos brought forth by another forgotten horror going through the birthing pains of experiencing a cold, alien, realm of suffering.

And you will most likely never know because the South still stands strong.
The Darkness covers, it's covettes, and smothers; it brings about a certain comfort and with it the stars and the glimmer and promise of hope.

The Cold white void brings no such promises.
The Realm of Echoes and Empty'ness; of longing and loneliness.
There is no hope.
There is only cold, lonely, despair.
In the Cold white Void.

Some progress on God Emperor Akalade. any thoughts so far? He'd have elf-y ears right? Elves made him in their image, i'd figure he'd have elfy ears.

He has Deer/engulate stlyed ears.
Our Elves don't have "pointy" ears, they have rabbit/deer/ styled ears.

One of Many. Each Named. Each wanting to bring the world into a realm of dreams and to put an end to all suffering. The South pretty much has an Evangelion episode every 3-4th session while we're busy getting drunk and playing soccer.

The sad part?
Not all of them are bad, but they don't always have the pleasure or breathing room to ask questions first.

or they had something hideous already taking up their resources.

That is a frightening prospect to consider anon.
But something I sorta wanna draw now that you mention it.

We should see if they have any documentation of these Elder Horrors they've been fighting all this time.
>>
>>39580487
We were already told they have to deal with an evangelion episode every 3-4 sessions we hold. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that they could have had another one to deal with besides the one we were dealing with.
>>
>>39580543
He also said that not all of them were awful creatures, they just have no chance to give their say.

I wouldn't be surprised if there were some Kaworu types out there, that an unfortunately "Savvy"/Paranoid race of southern cyclops give no time of day to.
>>
>>39579798
>Bi, he's got kids, loads of them. Probably more than anybody except the Hydra Mother that we know about.
Nope, sorry Anon. He's gay. He's also infertile: check the bestiary. Akalade is a Homonculi; made out plants, Elven Stem cells and magic. He can't naturally reproduce.
