You arrive at the cafeteria's front door, and you try to open it, but its locked. You wander off to the back doors, and again, locked. There is no immediate way in.

And whatever that invisible thing was, it was back. You could see what seems to be a faint wolf's head with a tremendous, protruding brain. And that brain was starting to spark, similar to how your hand did before the spell. You could identify that it wasn't the exact same spell you use, but no other details.

"I can hear it" Mary says, looking around, despite the floating wolf head being in plain sight. Couldn't she see it? "But where is it?" she wondered, with a hunter's voice.

You charge up another bolt in your left hand - your right feels like toast. But the brain's bolt shoots out before yours, and you're inable to parry it completely, but you do manage to deflect a large part of it. The other part, scathes Mary's head, messing up her hair a bit in that area, but otherwise, apparently unharmed.

She and staggers in place before standing up again, clumsily, and uncoordinated.

The head remained there, charging up another blast.

Both of your hands hurt like if they had been pressed under an anvil, but you grabbed the bat anyway, aimed, and slammed the fucker in the skull, stopping the spell and causing it to fall to the ground with a loud slam, defeated.

Mary however, had been damaged. Mentally.

She sheathed her sword back in with a clumsy demeanour, and when her eyes look upon you, she makes a wide, innocent smile, and wobbles up towards you and gives you a boobs-first hug. It wasn't easy, given that she had to smoosh her ridiculous front into your chest in certain way before he could wrap her arms all around you, but she insisted until she did.

"...Mary?" you ask, surprised and concernes.

"Mewi want huhg" she says. "Hug, hug you, more, more"

The brain damage had put her in something akin to drunk-like state, of some kind. Some neurons just weren't working, similar to what alcohol does to your brain - so currently, she had no kind of social inhibitions or shame whatsoever.

You're in front of the barricaded cafeteria, a bit hungry, your hands both hurt quite a lot, and Mary had been brain damaged by the previous blast attack.

Try to have things thought out beforehand so things make sense. For example, the girl inside the cafeteria. It's barricaded, so clearly she must have some level of physical strength. It wouldn't make sense for her to be some kind of weak book nerd.
Also, you should make us roll for combat and other actions. That's pretty much a must-have for quest threads.
