I could always catch them before they hit ME but then he'd just focus on Irene and she has no actual defense against this crap... and the swords keep coming faster and faster with each passing second, it's only a matter of time before Irene ends up impaled and then I'm stuck fighting this asshole solo.

And once she's far enough away from me, he forms like ten swords, holding them in between the fingers of both hands, and throws them right at ME.

Irene watches in horror as ten projectiles of light fly towards me. Even for someone as fast as her, there's no way that she would be able to pull me out of the way in time... and even if she was right here next to me, it's doubtful that she herself would be able to leave the attack radius before getting impaled.

So of course there's no chance that someone like me who's barely in shape and most definitely lacks superstrength could do so.

But I don't need to. Though I might be facing a rain of swords, I am the SUN.

But he soon regains his composure and forms twice the number of swords that I've pinned in the air to throw at me. Just as he lets his newly-created projectiles fly, I break apart the light that composes them much like I've done several times before... but while I break apart their form, I maintain the pattern that they're composed of.

And change it into something more suited to my own tastes.

Instead of piercing through me, the second volley of swords crashes against what I've just created.

No, it isn't. Through that entire fight, something seemed off with him... he didn't seem to remember anything that happened the last time we fought, he mentioned a bunch of Qliphoth stuff when he didn't before... hell, even the WAY he fought was totally different.

And besides, he's been beaten. I'd be surprised if he's even able to stand on his own after how hard Irene punched him.

Shoot huge lasers and become stronger during daytime if I recall.

The only reason they think we're sunflower is because we only really shot huge lasers and did more subtle effects. That and they've probably come across someone with the branch at some point, so they just assumed it was the same.

It's rather beneficial for us though, since sunflower seems to be a bit narrow in what it can do, so they never expect our weird tricks.

Though I'm sorry to see it go, I release my hold on the light that's comprising my light flower thing and watch as it crumbles into nothingness, then walk over to Irene.

"You're not hurt, re you?" I ask, watching as she rubs the knuckles of the hand that she punched Glenn with.
"I'll be fine," Irene replies with a weak smile. "What about you? I didn't even know that you could do that..."
"Neither did I," I reply with a shrug. "Just tried it on a whim and it turned out alright."

Patting me on the shoulder as she passes me, Irene starts towards Glenn-

After a few seconds of thinking about it, I walk over to Glen (but not TOO close} and form a bunch of light swords around his crumpled form.

Carefully, I will them towards Glenn, positioning them around his limbs such that they're able to take advantage of his resistance to their cutting effects to support him in the air.

He looks kind of like a scarecrow like this.

"Crap," I mumble. "This might be important."

After lowering Glenn to the ground, I reach into my pocket and answer my phone.

"CECILE!?" Allison screams into my ear.
"Gaah!" I shout, instinctively pulling it away before I end up with permanent ear damage.

Once the pain subsides, I slowly bring it back to my ear.

"Allison?" I call out.
"Oh my God Cecile!" she shouts again, but thankfully not as loud. "Are you okay!?"

We don't listen because Overchan is usually either:

A) Straight up wrong, like in this case. Glenn was mind controlled, if it wasn't him coming at us it would have been some other random person instead.
