There's no real art or skill to what you two are doing. It's just hitting each other. Hard. There's no dodging, no blocks. Just hard and vicious punches. You don't bother keeping track of how many there are, or how much time has passed.

You don't waste much attention on the defense ars, just enough to ensure you won't get mulched by her strikes.

Time passes.

It takes you a second to realize that you're not moving. You still have strength enough to raise your arms, and you're not feeling tired at all.

... Okay maybe a little, but you can keep going just fine.

Your opponent seems just as puzzled as to why she stopped, breathing hard enough to send her chest heaving while her arm is cocked back for another punch. It's an oddly... hypnotic moment.

The Pendragons and Kuzunoha weren't in any better positions, but the Pendragon children were too young for school now, while the Kuzunoha could lean on each other to try and scrape together enough for a single year, but for how long could such tactics work?

The fiery woman so full of herself from before seems a pale shadow of herself.

You've never even trees that big before, not even in Kagutsuchi. And it was kind of dark underneath all of the branches too, not that you were afraid of any of that stuff or anything.

It just felt like someone was watching you.

When you guys arrived at the house, it was a huge relief. Compared to the forest, the area around it was was well-lit and you could see the sky again between the branches.

And then your mom got into another fight again, because this lady, who turned out to be Shizune's mom, thought she was there to ask for Shizune's hand in marriage. Which couldn't be true of course.

They'd only just met, after all!

It took a little doing this time, and your mom kind destroyed Shizune's Mom's clothes, but she won again. And then the tea came out, and it was almost exactly like something out of Wonderland Hearts! Everybody fought and then made up over tea!

In the first place, there's only one real door into the house, and while you could try to distract her with something, the silence from inside the house is a pretty good clue that the fight's already over and that they've moved onto the boring thing Miss Shizune was talking about.

So, you just pout and take out your armagus to do some work on it. Love Spark neatly unfolds, and Miss Shizune raises an eyebrow but doesn't move from her spot. The players are at fault for giving into temptation, not the QM for giving them for choice. Claiming anything else is childish.

And I bungled it.

To be honest, i'm regretting even considering the idea at all now.

But well, ironically, it was a shiny button. I decided to give it a shot and live with the effect of my actions.

Even stating that there would be consequences was a bad decision, because, as has been pointed out, every action here has had a consequence. But, I over-reacted to some of the discussion and felt it needed to be clear that there would be an effect for this action as well.

And people started freaking out about it.

I suck.

I don't need to do more than look down on the archive page and see Kant-O-Celle or RE:Monster Ex and be reminded that I still have a long way to go.

But I hope to have at least learned from this experience, and do intend to try and continue improving as we go forward.

Eh, don't worry about it. Every QM ends up going through something like this at some point, so just take it easy. There's no real reason for you to feel at fault since the players are the ones who got carried away and started mashing the shiny button without thinking about the possible consequences.

You've been doing fine so far. Your characterization a have been really good and consistent (disclaimer: I have no knowledge of blazblue), your writing isn't too bad, and the consequences of actions taken by the mc have thus far seemed logical.

The issue here is one of lack of understanding of the playerbase. There are a population of players who are genuinely incapable of accepting blame and when faced with consequences of their actions will do everything in their power to shift blame off themselves. What you did was stupid, but not in the way you think it was. In a vaccum, the kiss option is perfectly fine and reasonable. But you're on tg, and you should know now that you need to be careful what you put up as options, because they DO influence the votes. Also remember that there ARE people like this on tg and you should take criticism with a grain of salt.

So just keep on keeping on. Your quest isnt really going to die as long as you ignore trolls and have fun running.
