I am Sief Atanor, heir to House Atanor and the Golem Raziel. I have come a long way in search of answers, and now they may be within my grasp, provided I can survive the battle to come. My vantage point atop the watchtower of the ruined fortress has given me a birds-eye view of the structures therein, and as such, a better idea of where I can locate the remaining giants.

The Command Building bears all the hallmarks of activity, fires burning within, and grisly banners and trophies set upon the walls, while the Golem Hanger, partially collapsed and lightless is home to something large and foul, perhaps even the giantish matriarch or her child. The eastern artillery station has been dug into to serve as a nest for the clan's pet wyvern, while the western one looks untouched, artillery pieces still lining the outer walls.

The question is whether this is enough for Quala and I to make our move. If the information we gained from the dying Mauler was correct, Mama Stump only has the unseen 'Tooth' remaining of her brood, as well as the wyvern. Three against two is not great odds, and everyone I have spoken to on the subject has stressed the strength and cunning of the giant clan's 'mama'.

What do we know about wvyerns?
I am eating watermelon right now.
>>
>>40985070
Large, scaly, two-legged winged lizards with a poisonous barb on the tail. They're foul tempered beasts which have never been properly domesticated save by the titan races, who are hardy enough to weather the occasional bloody rampage when something sets the beast off.

While a wyvern obviously can't poison a golem, their tails are strong enough and their stingers sharp enough to punch through a golem's shell, and there has been a couple of cases in Imperial history of someone being unlucky enough that a wyvern put its stinger right through into the cockpit. Aside from that they can do some damage with claws and fangs, which would be your bigger concern.

Fortunately they tend to be a little on the fragile side for fighting against golems, so they can't take much punishment.

Reminder:
>The first thing I notice is the eastern artillery station. A large hole has been torn in the rooftop, exposing it to the elements, the stone around the hole looking jagged, as if clawed. If I had to guess, I'd say the wyvern is nesting there.
>I turn my attention to the other buildings, the western artillery station looks untouched, indeed some of the artillery still sits on its roof, a little worn but still in one piece. It's old, but it's as formidable as ever, designed to take down behemoths, giants, and any other threat to the empire's dominance. While it wasn't enough to save the fort, it might still be useful.
>The Golem Hanger is... strange, part of the roof is missing, looking as if it's been smashed from within, and from here I can see a mound of animal carcasses festering behind the building. As I squint into the gloom through the missing section of roof, I make out a momentary movement, pallid oily skin against the darkness.
>>
>>40985120
So if I'm understanding it right, going one-on-one with Raziel against the wyvern would be best.
Does its nest look like we could jump in from above to get a sneak attack in and potentially end the fight quickly?
I'm thinking of having Quala stay in the shadows until either a giant comes to investigate or we move on to ambush one of them.
>>
>>40985141
Cant remember which of my votes was, so one of these needs changing to scout the western artillery.

If we can use that, baiting out one of the giants to blast their head off would be brill. Probo have to do it while we fight the wyvern.

Whether the roof could support Raziel's weight is highly questionable, but you might get lucky.

Yes, its designed to be operated by either an individual or a crew.

Looks like a mixture of the two from where you are. Some look to be fixed in place, others were obviously brought up later, most likely for added firepower when the fort was assaulted.

“The artillery station, there, it looks like it's still intact,” I nod to the structure, breaking the silence.

“You think it could be useful?” Quala asks, peering down at it.

“Could be, if there are still mana batteries holding a charge we could turn them on the giants. They're outdated pieces, but they should still be able to deal some serious damage.”

“I have heard as much. You know how to use them?” the princess asks, leaning forward to prop herself up on her elbows on the crenelations as she looks over the building.

“I... have the general idea of it. If we're lucky there should be manuals, but from what I recall, it's a simple matter of loading a battery, loading a shell or cannonball, aiming it and firing.”

“Sief, this isn't going to blow up in our faces is it? And I do mean literally blow up in our faces.”

“I won't fire it unless I'm sure it's going to work, but it's worth a look at least,” I shrug.

“Alright, let's go, before that wyvern catches wind of us,” Quala replies, pushing herself back up and heading for the stairs.

The trip back down to the ground is uneventful, nothing larger than rats living in this tower, but there's a fair bit of ground to cover across to the artillery station. We can be under the cover of buildings most of the way, but there are some open areas we have little choice but to cross.

Most likely, if you landed a solid hit.
>>
>>40985547
Is one of the wyvern's main strength its speed?
>>
>>40985620
Speed, psychotic aggression and poison are what make Wyverns dangerous.
>>
>>40985626
Would the poison be dangerous to the behemoth?
>>
>>40985714
Yes, in large doses. Behemoths are hardy beasts though, so Kajilapa would most likely shake off one or two stings before starting to suffer.
>>
>>40985714
I'd assume so.
Really the only way I can see us shooting it is with Raziel holding him down while Quala shoots it.
Then I guess Raziel could set up an ambush for the giant(s) coming towards the noise, engage them before they come in line of sight of the artillery, then Quala fires off another shot at the giants themselves.
After which she sneaks away to find Kajilapa and wait for an opportunity to sneak attack the giant(s) we're fighting.
>>
>>40985752
Firing any gun this close will draw out at least one giant.

Have the Golem deal with the wyvern, have Quala fire the cannon at the giant who comes over in the comotion. Ideally we kill the wyvern quickly and then take out the heavily wounded giant before we go on to kill mama stump.
>>
The two of us steal across the ruins of the fort, ducking from one ruined structure to another, through dusty, blood-stained barracks, ransacked armories, and buildings so badly damaged that their original purpose is lost to time.

We have just made a hurried flight across an open courtyard when we hear the all too familiar rumbling of giantish footsteps. Taking hold of Quala's arm I pull her into the shadows of a nearby doorway, hiding just out of sight behind crumbling masonry. The great, heavy doors of the golem hanger groan as they open, shedding a rain of rust flakes and dirt.

Peering out of the edge of an adjacent window I can just barely make out the foot of some giantish figure as they stomp out from the building, gnarled toes and warty flesh. Where the other foot would be I can make out only what I can assume is the base of a massive peg-leg, built of the steel haft of some repurposed golem weapon.

Neither Quala or I dare to breathe as the figure lumbers by, especially when it stops just near our building. I hear a snort, ragged sniffing and a low growl.

“Is something the matter, mistress?” a squeaky voice pipes up.

“Thought I smelled humans,” replies a harsh, gutteral tone.

“Humans, here? Would you like Skayd to send some of the others to investigate, yes?”

“No, it's nothing, must'a been imagining it. When Mauler gets back tell him to go hunting, Mama's got a craving for human meat.”

“Of course mistress,” the high-pitched, obsequious voice replies, as the giant lumbers on, leaving our hiding place behind as she makes for the command centre.

We stay frozen in silence for many long minutes, until we are certain the danger has passed.

“So that was Mama Stump, huh. I couldn't get a good look at her, but she sounded large,” Quala comments.

“We'll have to be cautious, she almost sniffed us out there,” I reply, frowning.

It looks like the coast is clear, so the two of us step out of the doorway, picking our way over towards the artillery station. The rest of the journey goes by without incident, a fact for which I am very thankful, if one of the giants were to catch us, I can see little way out for us. The artillery station's doors are securely locked with a rusting padlock, but by checking around the sides we come across a section of collapsed wall at the back, leading into what looks like a store room for cannonballs, all neatly arranged for use.

“Those seem a little small to hurt giants.”

“Not if they're fired fast enough. Besides, we might find some better ammunition elsewhere. I think they'd started experimenting with proper shell artillery by that time,” I reply. Unfortunately the fort would pre-date the development of channelled mana artillery, that would do the trick nicely.

I ignore the cannonballs for now, the first thing I need to do is ensure that the artillery pieces will actually fire, any cracks to vital mechanisms would render them useless, or even dangerous to operate.

“Let's head for the roof,” I explain, drawing my sword as I peer cautiously through the doorway into the corridor outside. We may not have giants to worry about in here, but the voice I heard before could have been a boggart, or some other low race wretch, so it would be good to be cautious.

Quala follows as we slip down the dark corridors, barely illuminated through narrow, barred windows caked in dust. Fortunately the corridor leads to a central area with stairs straight up to the roof, as well as some sort of platform and pulley system for ferrying ammo, parts and even whole pieces up to the roof.

So far there has been no signs of boggarts, although I do note the presence of some scuffs and footprints in the dust, too small for a human. Sticking to the side of the stairs to minimize noise, we pick our way up to the top, passing through a second floor and up onto the roof of the artillery station, just overlooking the wall of the fort.

There are multiple artillery pieces present, some obviously locked in place, a permanent fixture of the station, and of course, all pointing outwards ready to respond to external threats, their range of movement not allowing them to be turned on the fort itself. Beyond those however, there are several more pieces that look to have been ferried up here from storage. All of them look dusty and worn, but the question is whether the damage they have sustained is serious enough to impair their use.

It's been a long while since I went over artillery usage, and my knowledge is mostly theoretical, lacking any actual pieces on my family's lands I have only had a chance to look over real pieces on a few occasions.

Still, I think I remember the basics well enough...

Most of the pieces I can discount straight off, cracked barrels, deformation in the battery contacts, scratched or worn runic inscriptions and mana tracing, broken components in the firing mechanism. I suppose I remember this all better than I thought.

Quala watches curiously, and cautiously, as I check over the pieces. I doubt she's even come up against imperial artillery herself, but she's undoubtedly heard enough stories from the war that they make her uncomfortable.

Fortunately by the end of my circuit of the roof I find one artillery piece which still seems to be in working order, a little rickety, but it should fire without blowing up in our faces at least. It's a relatively new piece, and would have been bordering on experimental back when the fort was in use. It even has a pair of unused runic shells next to it, pyroactive mana runes carved onto the surface. The battery's a little weak, but it should handle a few shots. The question is whether the two shells and the old battery are enough, or whether I should risk searching around downstairs for more.

>>40986877
>Warlord, how do giants fare against wyverns? Can the barbed poison penetrate their hide, and how much poison does it take for them to be affected at least?
A wyvern's stinger can definitely punch through a giant's hide, but giants are very hardy things, so it would take a fair few stings to drop one. Part of the reason giants keep wyverns is because they can survive the occasional dose of wyvern venom.

“I think we're going to need to search for some more shells and a new battery. They must have some down in the store rooms,” I explain, to a blank look from Quala.

“I think you mean you're going to need to search for them. Don't expect me to recognize any of your imperial sorcery,” Quala smirks, following me back over to the stairs.

“You can watch my back then, I'd wager there's a few boggarts or the like skulking around here.”

“That I can handle.”

We step back down into the dusty interior of the artillery station, I doubt the layout will be complicated, but there's no map provided, so I'll have to search around a bit. Odds are that anything they need to ferry up to the roof will be kept nearby, so batteries and shells shouldn't be far.

We poke around in a few dingy storerooms, filled with components, shells rendered unstable by long storage without retracing, more cannonballs, and other useless materials. So far we've seen no sign of the boggarts, but they have definitely been here, leaving behind their waste as they picked over the bones of the fort.

“Sief, what about these?” Quala asks, nodding into another storeroom stacked with sealed cases. I cautiously unlatch one and open it up, finding a mana battery carefully stored within. I hold a hand close to it, still warm, no sparking or fluctuation, this should do nicely.

“Nice work Quala. Just the shells to find,” I smile, the princess puffing up from the praise. She turns to leave the room and then steps back with a whispered hiss.

“Boggarts, three of them, I don't think they saw me,” she mutters under her breath.

I listen, and sure enough I make out the scuffling sounds of feet on stone floors. This could be a problem. While I'm confident I could bring down several of the scrawny creatures, the real question is whether I can do so before they alert others, or worse yet, their giantish masters. It sounds like they're coming this way, and there's no other way out of this room save back in the corridor they're walking down.

“What? I see nothing.”

“One of the boxes, someone opened it. No-one is to open the boxes, mistress' orders.”

“W-well how would she know, right, it's just one little box and mistress is very very large.”

“But what about Skayd, stupid skayd will sell us out. Tell the mistress, then we'll wind up in the pot.”

“Maybe it just fell down, come on.”

So much for them walking on by, one of the boggarts steps into the room, a tiny shrivelled thing just as foul as you remember, then another. They don't spot us at first, but as the second steps in, I see his eyes flick over, going wide as he notices me.

I step forward as he opens his mouth to scream, driving my sword between his ribs. The cry dies in his throat, reduced to a gurgle, the second spins around to face me in shock, only to have a dagger driven into his neck by Quala.

“Humans, here?” the third yelps, backing away. He looks ready to bolt, or scream, or both.

It wasn't said that it could handle "a couple WEAK shots", just a couple shots, there was no implication that the quality of the shots are different from what a fully charged battery would cause, and only the number was emphasized.
If the force involved was variable then it should've also been possible to focus all remaining energy in the weak battery into a super strong shot, but no, I believe that the experimental cannon had a limiter on it to prevent energy overload.

We already have most of the answers to these.

More than it could actually count.

The bosses, misbehaving boggarts are their dinner.
>Ask about the wyvern.
Mama Stump's pet, its likely eaten many boggarts.
>Ask if there are any traps/alarms
We're looking at one right now, unless something actually smart made some off it's own.
>Ask about and secret routes/shortcuts
None/many, mostly just holes in the walls.
>Ask if there is anything dangerous we should know about
Mama Stump, Tooth, the wyvern, the "man of the gloam", whatever was talking to Stump (assuming that wasn't Tooth).
>Ask for a basic layout of the land.
We got a good view from the watchtower.

I'm working on the assumption that this thing is outstandingly stupid, so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong though.
>>
I didn't come this far to be undone by some filthy boggart. I lunge forward, driving my elbow into the thing's sternum and slamming it up against the wall, it lets out a wheezing gasp as the air is driven from its lungs, and when the boggart comes back to its senses, the tip of my sword is already at its throat.

“I think it would be in your best interests to remain quiet,” I growl, and the boggart responds by... soiling himself, lovely.

Thankfully none of the filth gets on my boots, and I drag my captive back into the store room.

“Please, don't kill me, I'll do anything,” the boggart whines. It seems that their low race lackeys lack the loyalty that the giants had for their matriarch. Boggarts always were wretched, cowardly creatures.

“Good, then you can answer my questions. How many other boggarts are there here?”

“I... I don't know, a lot.”

“Be more specific.”

“A lot, I don't know, more than ten. Most of us stay in the big building in the middle, keep the mistress' kitchen filled with food, keep it clean.”

“What about the other buildings?”

“W-we aren't allowed in those.”

“What about the wyvern, and Tooth?”

“W-we leave food out for the wyvern sometimes, next to the hole. Sometimes when we do that it eats the boggarts too. I-I've never seen Tooth, he stays in the dark building, he hates going out, the mistress says we're just to leave him be.”

“Is there anything else dangerous, besides them?”

“Uh, y-you could fall off a wall and hurt yoursel-” I cut that one off by increasing pressure against his chest.

“Real dangers, traps, alarms, other things that might attack us.”

“N-no, don't think so.”

“How about shortcuts, secret routes?”

“I dunno, we just go through holes in the walls. I-if it was secret, how would I know about it?”

“I doubt we'll get much more than that, Sief,” Quala comments, watching the interrogation with dagger in hand.

So we know that there is around 10 more of these and they are all in the golem hangar.
> It looks like the left tunnel leads to what was once the armory, while the right leads to some sort of archives, most likely for storing maps, supply logs and such. Either one could lead to Mama Stump or Tooth, there really isn't any way of knowing.

>“Okay, looks like there's four buildings up here large enough to hold a giant. The main command building at the centre of the mesa, the artillery stations by the east and west walls, and the golem hanger just south of the western artillery station. There's watch towers along the wall too, if we could get up onto one of the ones that're still standing, we might have a better vantage point to look around,” I explain, Quala taking in my explanation silently.

“If I was going to guess on Mama Stump being anywhere, it would be that command building.”

“Most likely, the question is whether we want to go straight there or check out the rest of the mesa first to ensure we don't get blindsided by any unpleasant surprises.”

>The first thing I notice is the eastern artillery station. A large hole has been torn in the rooftop, exposing it to the elements, the stone around the hole looking jagged, as if clawed. If I had to guess, I'd say the wyvern is nesting there.

>other buildings, the western artillery station looks untouched, indeed some of the artillery still sits on its roof, a little worn but still in one piece.

I assume you meant to quote >>40989062
But we don't have a container for it, and basilisk fluids corrode stuff.
>>
>>40989212
Does it corrode its own hide? wrap the tip on the fang with some of its skin before bundling it with the corpse. Should give the same effect.
>>
>>40989312
You do realize its blood and shit is also corrosive, right?
I brought up the possibility of skinning a giant to use the hide as a bag before for the head of the basilisk to take back home.

Also I just realized we might be able to make a cart and bring back a lot of stuff, except we won't be able to bring those to our home because we have to go through the forest to get there.
>>
>>40989394
Yes? While this seems to have no favour i'll note how we could go about it anyway incase we fancy it on the way back:

You cut a big square of skin off, careful not to break it, then form it into a bag shape. Your probo going to have to throw dirt on or dilute the poison enough to get at least one side clean of the corriosive. Wrap some rope around the opening and tie it off. Stick fangs in point down.

Depending if its own skin can withstand the stuff. If you had time, then draining the blood and using the stomach would be a better method of bag creation.
>>
>>40989190

>>

>>40989597

>>
>>40990327
what about the hide or wings?
Figured the claws and fangs are useful as well.
Maybe the meat.
>>
>>40990512
Anon we can't carry all that shit, and fangs of the basilisk are probably more valuable.
I say just bring the wyvern tail and basilisk head, those are things someone may be able to use in a constructive manner at least.
>>
>>40990512
Perhaps, remember that the value of such things is more symbolic than anything given that it works with artifice to create new components, functions and weaponry for golems.

Most of those other parts are not as iconic of a wyvern as the stinger is, so that's the part that's easiest for the artificers to work with.

I see little reason to keep this thing around, the last thing I need is for it to find some scraps of courage and cry out for help, so I make it quick and painless, shifting down the blade and driving it into the boggart's heart in one sharp motion.

It dies with a confused expression on its wrinkled face, and I draw the blade out, letting it fall to the ground.

“Well, that's that. What now, shells?” Quala asks, nonplussed by the violence, glancing around the room one more time.

I suppose growing up in the Iquani expanse, where low race creatures skulk just out of the path of the major clans, she's more used to such things than I am. I take a moment to wipe off my blade on a loose rag, frowning down at my handiwork. I wouldn't say that I feel any sort of regret for what I did, low race creatures are vile scavengers and backstabbers by nature, given the opportunity that whimpering boggart would have happily killed a dozen defenceless people. I think I'm just not quite used to death yet.

I shake off the thought, I'm going to have to get used to far more than this, the fort is a silent testament to how much death and carnage a Golem Knight must face.

I can't say that I relish the thought of dragging around the soiled corpses of boggarts, but we have to do something with them.

“First we need to hide these, the last thing we want is another boggart finding them after we're gone and alerting the giants,” I reply, gesturing to the bodies.

Quala sighs, prodding a boggart carcass with the toe of her boot.

“Do we have to?”

I shrug, glancing around the room, looks like there's room to pack them down behind some of the shelving units, out of sight of the doorway. It's not perfect, but by the sound of it the boggarts don't have much business in here anyway.

“We do, come on, back there in the corner,” I reply, grabbing hold of the nearest boggart's ankles and dragging the shrivelled body back towards its hiding place.

Despite her reluctance, Quala joins in without further complaint, taking hold of another body and pulling it back to dump in the shadows with the first.

“What do you suppose Mama Stump wanted with all these batteries anyway, telling the Boggarts not to touch them?” the princess asks, which makes me pause.

I can't imagine that the giantess would have much use for them, giants are too large and clumsy to use any imperial technology. Perhaps the stored mana would be useful for some inhuman sorcerer, but such backwards witchcraft is not the domain of humans, and anything I could say in that regard would be pure speculation. It's an impressive stockpile though, enough to power a great many imperial arms, I can't say I'm comfortable with the fact that Mama Stump has it at all.

“I couldn't say. Maybe we can ask her later, when I'm done with my other questions,” I reply, as the two of us toss the final of the trio into the corner.

It's a messy job, and won't bear close scrutiny with the stains and scuff marks left behind from the work, but in the dull light of the artillery station, it will hopefully be enough.

Quala wipes her hands clean on a scrap of cloth, tossing it aside as we head back out into the corridor. Next is the shells, and it doesn't take long to find a room with some remaining, mostly picked clean during the final battles of the fort, but there's still a fair few shells stacked up, and they look to be in working order. I doubt they'll drop a giant in one hit, but a solid hit could cause serious injury even to the likes of Mama Stump I'd wager.

“Is that everything?”

“That should do it, now we just have to take it upstairs.”

“That could take a while, these things aren't light, Sief.”

“I don't think we really have a choice. This artillery could be just what we need to turn the tables on those giants.”

“Can't argue with that, I suppose,” Quala smiles, waiting until I've picked up one of the shells before she gingerly takes one of her own, I suppose she's a little uneasy carrying the things.

“Just be very careful, shells shouldn't be capable of detonating just from being dropped, but... just be careful,” I explain, Quala wincing through her smile as she looks down at the shell in her arms.

“I will never understand why you imperials want to build such dangerous things.”

The obvious answer would be 'to defend ourselves from titans', but I suppose it would be a bit tasteless to pretend that that's all they're ever used for in a place like this. We lug the shells up in silence, several trips spent mostly in silence. While I am confident in my physical condition, there's no denying that it's an exhausting job, and by the end of it I'm aching and sweaty. Quala looks no better off, the princess breathing heavily, as we reach the roof with the last of the shells. We place the last of the shells down next to the artillery piece, Quala flopping down to rest her back against it when we're done.

“Ahh, that was exhausting, can't you imperials build a thing to carry things for you.”

“We have, there was a mana-powered lift which would have brought it all up in one go,” I reply, sitting down next to her and looking up into the heavy, grey sky.

“The metal plate with the chains attached?”

“That's the one.”

“Did you just feel like we needed to test our endurance, Sief?” the princess groans, wiping away sweat from her brow with the back of her hand.

“It's rusty and old, it could've made quite a lot of noise if we were unlucky.”

“Oh well, we're done now. So what is your plan for this thing anyway?”

That is a good question, I've no doubt it'll be handy, but how handy depends on how effectively we make use of it.

MAMA STUMP CONFIRMED FOR WORKING WITH JACKAL

>>
>>40993390

>>
“Quala, do you think you can use the artillery?”

Quala gives me a look partway between incredulous and panicked, at least for a moment before she leans back from where she sits, staring up at the artillery piece.

“Aside from a few trophy pieces, I've never even seen working imperial technology before today. Maybe something which makes explosions isn't the best place to start.”

Well, I can understand her reluctance, but there's really no better way around this.

“It'll be fine, these things weren't designed to be complicated, I can fit the battery for you, and after that it's just a matter of loading shells and pulling back the firing lever.”

“I still think it would make more sense if you did it.”

“Maybe so, but for my plan to work, you need to operate the artillery.”

Quala sighs, hopping to her feet and stretching out her aching body.

“Alright Sief, what's the plan?” she smiles.

I rise to my feet, running her through the process and the plan. Quala is a remarkably fast student, and while for obvious reasons we can't do a live test, she seems to have the process down soon enough, muttering it back to herself under her breath as she looks over the artillery piece.

“Will there be a problem with Kajilapa following me?”

“Hmm, no, probably not, she's a smart girl, and she likes you. You just have to lead her up to the surface and she'll spot me and come running.”

I nod, looking across the fort, no sign of the giants right now, at least not from our current vantage point.

“This is... kind of nervewracking, huh?” Quala comments, looking up into the rumbling sky.

“What happened to all that glory talk from earlier?”

“Hah, I have to live if I want my glory. Preferably we both have to live, so you can back up my story,” the princess smiles.

“I've no intention of dying, I can promise you that.”

“I'll hold you to that promise, Sief,” Quala replies.

I smile, turning to leave, only to find slender fingers wrapping around my hand. I turn to look at Quala as her hand slips into mine, I can still see the nervousness behind her eyes, but she's holding it down well, I can only hope I'm doing as good a job. Moments tick by, tension of a different sort heavy in the air, the princess' dark eyes watching me, making me all too aware of how hard my heart is beating. Then the princess' hand slips from mine to take hold of my forearm. I smile, returning the gesture, gripping her forearm tight as she favors me with a fierce grin.

“To glory, vengeance, and all the other foolish things that drive humans to greatness,” Quala states, looking straight into my eyes, her voice firm, her grip solid.

“Glory and vengeance.”

“Now let's kill some giants.”

Thank you all for playing. Ending it there today, since you're about to get into a bigass fight scene which I'd like to start when I'm not already tired and flagging.

I can hang around for some Q&A though, if anyone has questions.

How many boggarts could Sief handle solo?
>>
>>40993785
A few. Boggarts are small and weak, and Sief is well-trained, but there's only so many boggarts he could face before they just overwhelmed him with numbers.

In Raziel of course, the number of boggarts he could handle could be measured in the hundreds, at the very least.

Comparative differences in strength, speed and endurance. Between them.

Kind of hard to say, since giants, behemoths and golems are not all made the same.

In general, giants are very durable and very strong, moreso than most golems which haven't been powered up with runes and function components. In terms of speed though, giants are rock bottom, they're clumsy and slow, and rely more on brute force to solve problems.

Behemoths are pretty hardy themselves, with thick scales, heavy bones and near infinite stamina, and Quala's is more so than most, being that it's a royal behemoth, specially bred and fed on a carefully designed diet of rare herbs and elixirs during its early years. In terms of strength they tend to lose out a bit to some of the others, though they can still get a lot of weight behind their blows, and they tend to be faster than giants, as most things are.

Golems vary wildly, making it hard to say where they stand in any comparisons, older designs tend to be weaker, slower and less durable than newer designs, and noble house golems tend to be of higher quality since they are custom built with more expensive components and materials. Some are lightning fast but fragile, others are lumbering tanks in shells of thick, reinforced steel.

Okay, looks like there's no more questions, so I'm going to call it a night.
