In the off event that Sun-Mi is a member of the Quesadilla me can at least hope that she could mediate between us.

We know she isn't a Tree member since they were ordered to leave, and I hope Mr. G would have the decency to inform us if she was on his side. Only remaining options are the Qlippoth or some other small time group which we haven't heard of. That or she's genuinely solo.

"It's a Control-type vampire Branch," I say, "called 'Blood Witch.' A girl I know in the Tree of Life sent me a picture of the girl who has it and a description of what her Branch can do, you want me to send them to you?"
"...yeah, that'd be good," Sun-Mi replies. "And you're completely sure that this is the person after you?"
"Pretty sure," I nod.

For the next few seconds, I hear nothing but the sound of something being moved over the receiver of the phone. I don't know if she dropped it or if the signal's screwed up or what...

Fortunately, we finally reach the top floor before Theresa's "other self" decides to try and put the moves on me any more than it already has. From there, we head straight for Charlotte's suite and move on inside once I unlock the door.

"Wow, so this is where she's staying..." Theresa says, looking around with her eyes and mouth wide-open.

I can hear Gabrielle's game playing on the TV in the living room and I can see the top of Charlotte's head peeking from over the edge of one of the couches so I guess they're both in there. And since Theresa's never been here before, I might as well show her around.

"Yeah, this is her place," I say, showing the place off. "PRetty nice, huh?"
"Yeah, it is," Theresa nods. "There's even a kitchen here?"
"Yup," I say, pointing to it. "And it's got all the appliances that my place back home has."
"Damn," she whistles.

After walking her around the kitchen, I show Theresa the two bathrooms, one side of the terrace, and...

And so, the two of us enter the living room... and just like I thought, Gabrielle's completely engrossed in another race while Charlotte rests on the couch.

"Welcome back," Charlotte mumbles. "I was wondering where you'd gotten to."

I might as well get right to it, there's no sense in wasting any more time than I already have.

"I was on the phone with Marcus and Sun-Mi," I say. "That's what had us down there for so long."
"It's okay," Charlotte replies. "What's wrong, they're not in trouble, are they?"
"No," I shake my head, "but Mina might be."

The TV turns off.

"What's going on with Mina?" Gabrielle asks as she jumps up from the couch where she was just sitting.
"Nobody knows where she is right now," I say, "and she's not picking up her phone either."
"...wha..." she gasps.
"Yeah, I already told Sun-Mi what happened and she's out there looking for her right now."

Her eyes welling with tears, Gabrielle falls to her knees and buries her face in her stuffed cat.

"This's all my fault..." she cries.

After patting Gabrielle on the back a few times, Charlotte looks up at me, motioning with her head that she wants me to switch with her. And though I'm not exactly experienced at consoling people, I take Gabrielle into my arms and do my best.

While Gabrielle wipes the tears from her eyes (and I wipe them from my chest), Theresa waves goodbye to us and leaves the suite. After taking a few more minutes to pull herself back together, Gabrielle takes Shary in her arms and stands back up.

"Are you three ready to go?" Charlotte asks.

An incompentant psychic lebsian get finds a GF and kills other psychics.

Psychic powers vary from person to person and can result in 4 different archetypes. The first being "defensive" which boosts your bodies physical attributes. The next being "elemental" which plays almost exactly like you'd expect of a normal mage (but only of one elements. The MC has control over elemental light). Next you have "control", which allows you to alter minds around you to varying degrees. Our qt GF can manipulate animals and take on some of their attributes. Typically control branches do roughly the same thing, but through different means. Lastly you have the "creation" type which can summon up a potent companion to do fighting for you.

Thus far our incompetent party-abandoning hero (henceforth called CC) has gotten in trouble with the mafia whose members included people who were a part in some illuminati bullshit called the Qlippoth. Thus far we've down 2 members and are currently fighting the third.

Other things of note: Out qt GF is one of the heiresses to Mr. Gauthier, an immensely powerful corporate fat-cat who has an interest in this branch stuff. Another organization, The Tree of Life, is a religious sect who wants to stop the abuse of branch powers. They act under the Catholic church.

I think that's it in a really tight nutshell.
