You are Sallazar, a young wizard who has recently left the army. You have taken a teaching job at Egwen Girls Convent.

In addition the Headmaster of the school wants you to run the schools adventurers club, to give some of the schools more unusual girls something fun to do.

You are still puzzling over why Tellaric would be looking in the same area you're going to be this weekend. Coincidence? Unlikely, nothing you've heard indicates that when they went missing any of the damned things would turn up there.

Maybe some sort of book about them? Or other records that Tellaric needs to use the cursed things?

You shudder, the last thing the world needs is for that to be unleashed upon the world, they were lost for a reason. You're not sure if even Tellaric could be trusted with them, power corrupting and all that.

You're still stewing over that when you get to the Headmasters office, he is as usual in his office, checking over credits earned and lost in the day.

“Sallazar please sit” he says, finishing up his last column of figures, his dinner half-finished beside him. When he's done he looks up at you, sat opposite him, the desk in between the two of you “what can I do for you?”

“Today I had a rather interesting encounter with a student” you outline your meeting with Lucinda.
>>
The Headmaster chuckles “yes that's our Lucky” he says “well its good that you do found each other, maybe you can put her on the right path, who knows, maybe she'll even be a paladin.”

You don't want to get into your views on religion right now “what's concerning me more” you say “is that there's a group of girls with mind-reading powers loose in the school, please sir tell me exactly what is being done to reign them in?”

The Headmaster sighs, and looks older somehow “Let me tell you a story, no wait” he adds “first, how much do you know about succubi?”

“Ah, quite a bit” you say “I've studied a lot of magical creatures” plus there was that incident in your apprenticeship where you and some others tried to summon one...

“Then you'll know that the succubi have their bloodlines, with some being more specialised in their powers than others. There is a particular type of succubi called the Dathki, they specialise in mid-reading and mind-affecting powers. Whereas your typical succubi might corrupt a person with the usual sex, gold, promises of political power, the Dathki can rewrite a person memories, or simply turn them into a magically-controlled slave.”

That sounds incredibly dangerous, you think, and given how the Last War went, you wonder how many Dathki Soulbound there were, hundreds maybe, thousands?

“So these girls are-” You start
>>
“Let me finish” says the Headmaster with a smile to take the sting from his words “you youngsters so impatient, where was I? So yes it was a number of years ago when the first Dathki under my tenure began making real trouble. It culminated in me taking her aside and telling her she could undo the harm she had done and free those she had controlled or else she could suffer from a horrific wasting disease that no one would be able to cure. After a spirited attempt to get into my head, she acquiesced. The Dathki Soulbound and their tiefling descendants have shared the story and it has grown in the telling somewhat.”

“So why is this group even doing what they're doing?” you ask “Sir surely you can-”

“Mete out punishment like a vengeful god?” asks the Headmaster, then shakes his head “no, I could do many horrible things to them but I find the threat is usually sufficient. Further, despite my power I am still answerable to the Guild, and they are answerable to political concerns. Many of the Dathki Soulbound were nobles, and since their children are so...normal-looking they usually try to pass them off as not being Soulborn, or as Soulborn without powers. That way the family can avoid the social stigma whilst still reaping all the benefits of a loyal mind-reader.”

“I see” you say. So it's ok for nobles to do whatever they want huh? Well that's the same the world over, you think bitterly.
>>
“The various Dathki that pass through the school are aware that their political connections protect them to an extent” says the Headmaster, noting the scowl on your face “but the legend of what happened, or might have happened to the first one keeps them from going too far. They know their family connections are only useful after the fact. And yes, I have expelled those that have enslaved other students, and had skilled enchanters put their minds back together, as imperfect as that is. Mostly the various Dathki that learn here confine themselves to small misdeeds – discovering another girls secrets to woo them, or hurt their reputations, and only cheat on tests in small ways.”

“How do you know they're cheating?” you ask.

“It's quite simple” says the Headmaster “with years of credit record books I can usually spot a cheater when their points don't match a pattern, it becomes obvious that a Dathkis powers have blossomed when their test scores go from average to amazing overnight.”

“So what you're saying” you say “is that this what, isn't a problem?”

“Oh I wouldn't say that” says the Headmaster “the current ring-leader is a rather arrogant young girl called Fenra. I have strong suspicions that she is working to turn other girls into her playthings without being as obvious as young Dathki usually are. I've been watching her but I have no proof of what she's doing...yet. Still, thank you for volunteering to take this task over for me.” He grins at you “at least, I assume that's what this conversation is about.”

Well, he's offering you a choice, sort of. You're rather busy with the club and everything else, but still, you're not comfortable with a cadre of mind-readers running amok in the school, whether they are restricting themselves to small stuff or not.

“Fine, I'll do it” you say “what do I need to know?”
>>
“Well as I said, the ringleader is a girl called Fenra, and...” The Headmaster gives you a rundown on the main suspects, their tactics, and their favourite victims.

How do you plan on handling this?

IIRC, Lucinda said that they don't think they can read each others' minds.

“Hmm, well, in that case” you say “I think I'll use their thirst for the sorts of magic we don't normally teach students, I suppose I could easily mock up a tome of forbidden knowledge and wave it around in class one day.”

“And then what?” asks the Headmaster.

“I'll have one of the club ask about it, and I'll tell them that only those with the right password can get into my desk” you say “I'll also have Lucinda encourage them to go after it, and when they try to read my mind, then I've caught them breaking the rules and I can take it from there.”

“Keep me appraised of your progress and tell me if there is anything you need” says the Headmaster “and good luck with your scheme.”

With that decided you head out to the evenings training session with the club.

This week you have been taking a personal interest in training some of the girls. You are also working on magical items in your spare time. As this is the first week with your new trainers helping the girls, you get to see how they teach.

You spare time for Callunas when you can, helping her refine her mastery over the more orderly form of magic that you use. She is a quick study, though she also applies your teachings in unusual ways.

Anlanesas control over sorcery is improving with Thunder Drum helping her. Despite his artificial nature he has access to the more intuitive type of magic favoured by bards and sorcerers. Unlike his rather irritated outburst at you, with the girls he seems professional and patient.

With the students at least, with the other teachers....
---
One evening at the club, whilst all the students are honing their abilities, practising and having fun, you overhear an unusual discussion between Thunder Drum, and Taynathil.

“What would you know of elven culture?” she haughtily asks him.
>>
“Perhaps more than you” he says in a voice like grinding rocks, looming over her. In between them is Phaysis. She is in her centaur form and looks is breathing hard, as if she's been doing a lot of running this evening.

“I rather doubt that” she sniffs.

“I'm sure you do” he says “but the elven principle of Il'inesee, or as humans call it 'self-improvement' is not a bludgeon to beat the poor girl with. The poet Vellumeshil write three centuries ago (translated) 'It is not for others to say which path I walk, Il'inesee comes from within, imposed from without it is empty and without meaning'. You claim to be trying to help her, but you're going against the very principles of the culture you claim to-”

“Enough! Stupid construct!” growls Taynathil “you stick to your group, and I'll stick to mine.”

“You're not helping the girl-” Thunder Drum tries again.

“It's ok, really” says Phaysis “I don't mind hard work, it's fine.”

“Her harsh teachings are inconsistent with her own philosophies though” protests Thunder Drum “if she'd only-”

Taynathil spots you “You, mage!” she barks “call off your toy!”

Thunder Drum shifts, as if he doesn't appreciate what she just said.

>>
As much as you'd love to humiliate Taynathil, this isn't the time or the place, with all the students around.

“Phaysis” you say “what do you think?”

“I, uh” Phaysis looks a little taken aback at you asking her “Um, I'm sure Professor Drum is only looking out for me” she says “but I'm ok with Professor Taynathil pushing me sir” she says “I can handle it and I don't mind hard work.”

“See?” Taynathil says smugly to Thunder Drum “even a child can see the truth.”

Thunder Drum turns to you.

“Phaysis seems ok with it” you say apologetically.

Thunder Drum sighs, a sound like pouring gravel “It's not about that” he says, as Taynathil leads Phaysis off to her archery lessons “Both the student and the teacher would work together much better, would both learn faster if Taynathil stopped hating herself, stopped denying what she is, stopped hiding her inner darkness.”

“Uhm, isn't she an elf?” you ask Thunder Drum

“Yes, that's exactly my point, thank you!” says the golem “why can't she understand that?”

Yeah that conversation didn't make much sense to you; an elf is an elf.

Your other teacher is settling in well; Master Telgether. He isn't causing any trouble with students or teachers.

You watch him as he's helping Kittrane try to learn how to be stealthy in preparation for her next match. It';s not going great...

“No smoother, like this” Master Telgether seems to glide over the leaves he has scattered in the floor, not disturbing a single one.

“Ugh this so isn't me” Kittrane tries to walk over the dry leaves, making loud crunching noises.

“Ahh!” Kittrane yells and flames start to flicker around her, dseems she really doesn't like failing.

What a lot of extra energy” says the old halfling with a grin “perhaps a run to calm you down?”

As Kittrane runs off, muttering to herself, Master Telgether watches her critically.

“How is the stealth training going?” you ask.

“Not well” he admits “oh she'll pick up the basics eventually, but...”
>>
“But?” you ask

“But I'm wondering if I should teacher what I think is the right way” he says “or what's consistent with her nature, her abilities” he says.

“What do you mean?” you ask, raising an eyebrow, you don't think this is just about stealthy movement.

“Well I prefer calmer, more subtle styles” says Master Telgether “but I've never seen someone so suited to Demon Style...”

“What's that?” you ask.

“Oh a style emphasising speed and power and force” says Master Telgether “combined with some skill at magic it can be used to perform amazing feats. It is however a violent and brutal style.”

Huh, it sounds perfect for Kittrane then...

“Teach her it if its right for her and she wants to learn it” you say “I don't stop the girls from learning what they want to or force them to learn certain things. If its the right thing for Kittrane, then let her learn it.”

“And yet you work at a school with structured lessons and tests” He observes dryly.

“That's different” you are quick to point out “those lessons are necessary to survive in this world”

“So are martial arts” he offers his opinion “and you do restrict certain types of arcane knowledge, yes?”

You think for a moment for answering the smug little old man “That” you say “is because these girls are not yet ready for certain types of knowledge.”

“And yet-” he starts.

“Yes I get the lesson” you say, rolling your eyes “I just think she can handle it, ok?”

Mid-week your little plan to trap the Dathki Soulborn and their followers bears fruit.

Forewarned by Lucinda, you are aware that the next time you wander back to your room after club practise in the evening there will be a group of them waiting to surprise you, though Lucinda doesn't know the exact plan.

You could simply be ready with a Mind Blank spell that evening, and shrug off whatever they try – that would be safest. Even attempting to read a teachers mind is a serious rule violation.

Or perhaps a more subtle approach. A Disobedience spell would allow then to think they control you – a favourite tactic of their ringleader according to Lucinda. Though you would only have your own willpower to protect your memories, it might allow you to learn more about their plans.

You cast a spell to prevent mind-control and have Lucinda following you at a distance as you head back to your own quarters that evening, seeming unaware of what's about to happen.

As predicted there are a group of five girls that approach you a dozen yards from your door.

“Ah Professor” says one “we have some questions about this weeks lesson, do you have a moment?”

“Of course” you say, approaching them and smiling “what can I help you wi-” And that's when it hits you.

A wave of magic washes over your mind, demanding obedience, compliance and worship. Were it not for your spell, you think you'd have a tough time resisting a domination effect this powerful. Wow these girls are dangerous. And now they've committed a serious offence.

“You can help us with a lot actually” says a girl stepping out from the middle of the group. She is tall and possessed of an aristocratic beauty with green eyes and dark hair, Fenra.

As the mass of magic in your mind prompts you (but unable to actually control you), you go along with the pretence.

“Speak and it shall be done mistress” you say in a fawning, eager tone. The other four girls let out a relieved sigh as Fenra says “See? I told you if we combined our powers we could overcome even a so-called master wizard. Stick with me girls and we'll be running this place by the end of the year.”

“Let us in” she says, pointing to the door of your quarters “I want to see this book on magic.”

As commanded you let them all in and unlock a cabinet containing a book of magic that looks very complicated and powerful...but all the spells in it are useless nonsense.

Still, Fenra doesn't know that and as you hand her the book she runs her hands lovingly over it “this is just a small part of what we can learn” she tells her flunkies. You are all now in your quarters, with the door closed. This means Lucinda should be approaching to try and listen in. Stealing from a teacher is another offence.
>>
“But Fenra” says one timidly “attacking a teacher...?”

“Oh hush Ryla” says Fenra, opening the book and examining it. Ryla is one of the tieflings born of a Dathki Soulborn and though she has the same powers as the others, according to the Headmaster she has confidence issues.

“Ryla has a point” says another. She is shorter and stockier than the others and has short blond hair. Oskima, Fenra's rival in theit little clique “is attacking a teacher really worth one book of spells? This is too risky, he's going to remember what you did.”

“Nonsense” scoffs Fenra “if controlling him was this easy, wiping his memory won't be much harder.” Tampering with your memory will be a serious offence...not that you intend to let her. You prepare to speak and bring this little charade to an end when Oskima speaks again.

“Again, one book of spells, is this really worth it?”

“It will be” promises Fenra “this book will lead to another and another, until I finally have the secrets I need.”

“Is this about that gem?” Oskima says scornfully “it's a myth you know, the one you have is a fake. The Dominion Stones are a legend.”

Fenra has something that might be a Dominion Stone? If she does that's pretty serious. The Dominion Stones were magical gems given out to officers of the old empire in jewellery. They allowed the bearer to command the Unliving Legion – small armies of golems the Imperial mages had created. Most people think they're a legend, or an archaeological curiosity. After all, with the Unliving Legion destroyed, what danger do they pose?
>>
Unfortunately, quite a few. One of the secrets the guild shares with its master mages is that small squads of the Unliving Legion are still found from time to time. And that the Dominion Stones were not used to control the Legion themselves, they were used to amplify the control offered by the rest of the jewellery. In the hands of a skilled enchanter they can extend the effects of his spells to dozens, maybe hundreds of people at once.

You have no idea if it can do the same for a Dathkis abilities, and you don't intend upon finding out. You need to know where she has this gem, and if its real – though you can determine that after confiscating it.

Owning one of those gems is illegal, for obvious reasons. Expulsion is the least of what she could face...though given her age, and her social rank, a fine is more likely than a prison sentence.

“It's not a fake!” Fenra says, turning to Oskima and putting the book down “and you're going to look even stupider than usual once I prove it.”

The other two girls move up behind Oskima. They are Celya and Eyja – twins, and Fenra's loyal sidekicks. These five together are the strongest Dathki, the ringleaders.

“Are you challenging her Oskima?” Asks one “you're strong, but you're not that strong.”

“Please challenge her” says the other “it would be most amusing.”

“Back off!” she growls.

Girls cheating on a few tests is one thing, a Dominion Stone is another matter.

You speak up “actually, rather than challenging each other, maybe you'd like to talk to me about why you have been going about this foolhardy scheme, and where your so-called Dominion Stone is?”

The girls all stop and stare at you.

“Shut up!” Fenra orders you, seems she still thinks she's giving the orders here.

“That's very rude” you say “if you keep that up you'll start losing credits.”

Ryla seems to get it first.

“He's not under control” she whimpers “he's not under control”

“And Ms Ryla correctly answers my next question” you say pleasantly “of what does the Disobedience spell do? My next question is: How many years in prison can you serve for possession of a Dominion Stone?”

“Get him!” Fenra yells. She and the twins give you looks of intense concentration as Oskima pauses and Ryla looks around in a panic.

You were waiting for something like this. In a heartbeat you raise your Spell Mantle and their next attempt at controlling you is simply absorbed into your spell.

“Now” you start to say, as you cast your own spell “time for a lesson in ethics girls.”

As you cast your force cage spell to trap them all, Fenra runs for the door. You spell only catches the four left behind, but as Fenra yanks open the door she is blocked by a grinning Lucinda “You!” Fenra snarls out in that aristocratic accent.

“Me” says Lucinda “hey what're you doing?”

Fenra drops a small purple stone out of her sleeve and into her hand, and them jams it into her mouth, and swallows it.

“No!” you yell, sprinting across the room towards her and grabbing her by the shoulders.

“No proof” she smirks “no conviction.”

“You idiot!” you yell “don't you know what you've done?”

“Uh, she swallowed the evidence?” asks Lucinda.
>>
“And if she was fully mortal a real Dominion Stone would be just a rock!” you snap “but do none of you listen to my lectures? Soulborn are creatures of magic! If you eat a magic item, your body tries to absorb the magic in it!”

Fenra has gone pale and is starting to sweat “what, what's happening?” she asks.

“Is she going to become a rock or something?” asks Lucinda

“No” you say, your stomach sinking “if that's a real Dominion Stone her body can't handle the levels of arcane magic, she's going to die.”

“Um wait” says Oskima, still trapped in your force cage “She's going to die?”

“No” says Ryla, shaking her head “she's got too much power to handle, she's going to explode!” Well, at least one of them was paying attention when you went over this.

Fenra groans, and goes limp, her eyes rolling back into her head, you lay her down carefully on the floor and she starts twitching.

“Umm, sir?” says Oskima “can't you like teleport her away or something?” Everyone looks at her

“What?” she says “better one person than all of us.”

“Teleporting her could result in a catastrophic spell mishap” you say, your mind racing “If it comes to it, I'll simply contain...whatever it is.

“Uh Sir” says Lucinda, as the other girls back away as far as your spell will let them “if her problem is too much power, I could try and take some from her.”

That might work, two might survive where one would die. Fenra is now foaming at the mouth. That was either a real Dominion Stone or something equally powerful.

Of course you also have four other soulborn or similar in the room, and they have combined powers before, maybe together with Lucinda, six rather than two or one...

You try to remain calm as you cast around for options, maybe Sister Mary can help, or the Headmaster, or Safire? Or Callunas weird box, if there was a way to shunt the excess power into that maybe, sind it elsewhere. But that could take time, time Fenra doesn't have.

“Do it!” you say to Lucinda. You cancel the spell trapping the others “and you, all of you you, help her, combine powers or whatever you do to help her.”

“That sounds kinda risky” says Oskima as the twins rush over to help.

“It's a back-up plan” you snap.

“What's the main plan?” asks Ryla

You cast a simple spell to fill Fenra's mouth and nose with foul tastes and smells, even as you you pound on her midsection “Throw it up damn you!” you yell. Unfortunately Fenras mouth remains filled with foam and mucus, but no stone. Eventually you give up.

“Your turn” you say to Lucinda, as you back off and start preparing a spell to contain any magical explosion.

“Are we sure this is a good-” Oskima starts.

“She's our friend!” Ryla yells, turning on Oskima.

The four all touch Lucinda on the shoulders as she bends down over Fenras supine form, and avoiding the mess of her lower face with a grimace, kisses her on the forehead.

For several seconds nothing happens, then the glow from Fenras face starts to get weaker, and spread to the others, mostly to Lucinda, with only some going to the others. The twins are taking more than the others of it, and Oskima the least.

Fenra starts to choke and gasp, and then lays still, the glow around her starts to get stronger.

“This isn't working” says Oskima, shifting her weight as if ready to break the connection with Lucinda. She gives you a look of concern “Sir we need to be away from here now if we're to survive, sure your priority has to be the students.”

“It is” you say “all of them!”

“It'd work better if you'd actually help!” Celya snaps at Oskima.

They all continue to draw more power from Fenra, who seems to be barely breathing now.

“We need..we need to stop” groans Oskima “we can't...”
>>
“I need all your strength!” Lucinda says in a muffled voice, she hasn't let go of Fenra “it's almost gone, go deeper into my mind, make the link stronger!”

“If we do we might not get out again!” frets Ryla

“Do it!” Eyja says, as Celya nods.

You crouch down next to Lucinda and put your hand on her shoulder like the others. You don't have their innate powers but you've been spending most of your life drawing magical energy from the world around you, this can't be any different, surely.

As the torrent of energy rushes into you, you grit your teeth. You're vaguely aware of Oskima and Ryla breaking the connection and backing off, as the flow strengthens and the pain gets stronger and stronger.

“Almost there” Lucinda says, no wait, the twins said that? You don't know, all you know is that your bones are on fire, or feel as if they are.

Finally Fenra bucks in Lucinda grip and starts screaming, then vomiting.

Oh great, you'll have to clean...that...up...

The pain is too much.
---
Later, you wake up in the infirmary, a curtain pulled around your bed. Ugh, how bad was it?

You don't feel too bad, everything appears to be attached...and the well of arcane power within you is as strong as ever. Inwardly you sigh in relief, doing what you just did...could have cost you your life, or your magic.

“We keep telling you” says a voice from beyond the curtain, it sounds like Lucinda, but not entirely “we're fine.”

“I'll be the one to judge that girl!” snaps the voice of Sister Mary.

“But we feel fine” no, not one voice, several voices. You pull yourself upright and climb out of bed, wearing nothing but a long white robe that smells flowery.

You pull back the curtain. Across from your bed on the other side of the room are four other beds, in them, sat up, are the twins, Fenra, and Lucinda, wearing the same sort of white robe as you. All of them are arguing with Sister Mary, who has her back to you.

“Feeling are nothing” she snaps “you've been messing around with ungodly magic and that takes a toll, bed rest and soup for three days, then I'll think about letting you get up.”
>>
>>41608643
In what world do you live in?
>>
“Are they ok?” you ask, your voice a dry croak. Sister Mary turns to glare at you “and you! Out of bed? What sort of an example are you? Get back in bed!”

“Professor please” all four ask in perfect unison “we feel fine, tell her we're fine.”

Physically they look fine, though Fenra is still a little pale. All are giving you a pleading look, one that looks oddly out of place on Fenras face.

What happened to them?

Could their powers, and the Dominion Stone have linked them somehow? You think you're alone in your own head...for now.

“What happened?” you ask, as Sister Mary continues to fuss.

“We, er, I that is, Lucinda” they say “Lucinda tell him.” Three of them stop talking, and Lucinda continues, though you can see the lips of the others twitching, as if they want to join in.

“I” Lucinda says that word carefully “drew as much power from Fenra as I could, and shared it out, thank you for taking some sir. But all that power, we couldn't get rid of it fast enough, and I think it kinda of glued us together, y'know, in our minds.”

“And this hasn't changed at all in the last...?” you ask

“Three hours” says Sister Mary “no, it hasn't.”

“And the Dominion Stone?” you ask.

Sister Mary shows you a small purple stone, cracked and flawed, lying in a bowl. You can sense only faint residual magic coming from it. You also see a faint thread of magic tying you to the girls, but so faint its almost undetectable.

“I'd like to examine you” you say, walking hesitantly over to the girls “do you mind if I uh, read your minds?”

“Oh no Professor” they all say “we don't mind.” You cast a spell to allow you to read their memories, and try and figure out what happened.

Their minds are...overlapping. The only way you can envisage it is four overlapping circles, some parts are separate, other parts shared. The girls seem to have their own thoughts, but draw from a shared pool of knowledge and memory. Lucindas share of the central part seems larger than the others, perhaps because of the greater amount of energy she absorbed? You end the spell.

“I'm sorry” you croak out “I should have done something, I should have...” you don't know what you should have done.

“It should be me ah, Fenra apologising to you” they all say “I, we tried to control your mind and would have made you a slave if we could, and still you stepped in to save us. What we did was wrong, we know that now.” Fenra gets a moody look on her face as they all continue “I think we have a lot of apologies to make.”
>>
“We need to find a way to undo this” you say, as you sit on your hospital bed, your legs wobbly “this is, this is my fault.”

“Don't we get a say in this?” they all ask “this is...new, but part of us, Celya and Eyja were doing this after a fashion anyway, Fenra thinks, no, knows, that if this is undone...she won't be a nice person. Lucinda is just...happy everyone is ok” You think something is being left out there.

You continue talking to them as Sister Mary leaves the room, they seem...content with what happened, and physically they say they're fine.

Sister Mary returns with the Headmaster. “Sallazar” you say, walking in slowly, seemingly much older “girls I am so sorry, I never imagined that this could happen, this is my fault.”

Fenra rolls her eyes and they all say “is everyone going to claim responsibility?”

“We'll find a way to fix this I promise” says the Headmaster.

“Again, we'd like a say in this” they say.

You pick up a clay jug from your bedside and pour yourself a drink of water. You;re obviously not fully recovered though, and the jug slips from your hands. Your tired mind can't cast the spell fast enough to stop it.

Except it doesn't hit the floor, instead it stops, then floats back up to eye-level. You turn to thank the Headmaster, or was it Sister Mary.

No, from the looks on their faces, it wasn't them either.

“Ah yeah” say the four girls “we think maybe we got some new powers....”

Planned as a possible outcome.

>Or was this kinda unexpected?

>Could you comment if the other things could have had an effect? Like getting the headmaster or the sister, or anyone else?

Headmaster binds Fenras soul into the gem, her body dies but she continues to survive as a spirit in the gem, capable of possessing sanyone who goes near it. Her mind-affecting powers are substantially increased. She remains a massive bitch.

Sister Mary has two options, cutting the gem out of her and then healing her, or asking for divine intervention. Second option is less likely to actually happen, but solves the problem with no side effects. First option might kill Fenra

Safire can absorb all the gems power without ill effect, and boosts her powers in the proccess.

Callunas box, is in Callunas hands. dumping the excess power into it solves the problem but...something on the other side says *thank you for thr gift* and Lucinda, Fenra and anyone one else involved get some sort of one-off otherworldly gift

They'll be completely normal. At first.

Sooner or later, Calluna will get an upgrade that lets her *improve* her various wildshapes, bringing them more in line with her nature.

A while after that, she'll get another upgrade that lets her take on wildshapes that are beings from her native reality in their entirety, including some very interesting kinds of dragon.

Fair point but "I don't like it now" posts only showed up when Pally said part of the reason he did this was my request (not a fetish, I've wanted to sort out what such an existences would be like for a while but any such being tends to be the bad guy) so I felt it was Anons complaining that something exists (QMs who try and use feedback too much) rather than about what happened.
I remind you both Calluna and her box were ideas from Anons.
