It was done, with hilarious complications, but they are only funny because it ended k anyway.

Now I have to go back on the 18th to have the stitches removed off my eyes, and see if anything else needs doing. Hopefully not.

Actually, it wasn't that heavy. Well, she already beats us as videogames, and even though those aren't a big part of our life, it is nice to know that we do have the advantage in upper body strength.

Don't laugh, she's basically an unknown creature, with enhanced night vision and reflexes, who is also really good against cold temperatures, so its nice to know we have an advantage somewhere.

That aside, it is a pretty large eel.

We place it into the fish tank and leave the rod on the floor to help Ellie up. Grabbing her hand, we help her up, then lift her unto the deck. Well, we had noticed before, but she's pretty light.

*kiss* "Love, why'd you do that?"
"I couldn't pull it up, so..."
"You can call on me to lift heavy stuff, my delicate flower"

As we are enjoying the sight, tho, dad comes by carrying a large fish and drops it into the tank.

"Sure, sure"

Baldric goes back to the rear of the boar, while Mako, who had followed him, sits down next to the fish tank, and enjoys looking at the fish.

"Cedric, we have to catch a big one, now!" -Ellie is rather competitive

The child seems hypnotized by the fish tank, but at some point just goes missing.

Quickly taking a look around, Cedric finds her elbows deep in the food basket, tearing off a piece of bread.

She looked at her husband. He was kind and honest to a fault. Of course, back in the other world, fish and game were food and that was it, but she knew that here, people actually kept animals as pets, for nothing more but company, or just to watch them swim around on a tank.

"Are you going to place them on a tank, then?"
"What? no. You don't usually keep fish like those. If you want to, we can get a water tank with tropical fish. Would have to keep it temperated back home, though"

She shakes her head.

"You are so silly" -she kisses him

Well, in the end, they caught a few more fish, but let them go when they got back to the dock.

Baldric helped the girls down from the boat, easily lifting them with a single hand.

"Pizza's on you, son"

Noriko thanks Cedric for his kindness with Mako before they go back to the shop. She's a rather caring girl, uh? ...it still feels odd to think she's going out with dad.

Ren's still standing at the edge of the dock, looking at the water

"...bye bye, fishies"

...she's just a child, after all. Maybe, she did not even think they would be really eaten. She had just tried to tease her sister.

The child runs across the dock's lenght after her mother's call. Tap tap tap, her small feet make a light sound on the wooden boards.

"Thank you for inviting us" -says Noriko, and bows slightly in a polite way. Her daughters imitate their mother

That evening, they simply laze around in the house, and finally have pizza before going to bed.

The following morning, there's a small crowd of camera crews outside the house.

Dad is coming downstairs, and does not seem pleased to have a camera trying to film the insides of the house through a window.

He opens the door, and the crews that were expecting a cute elf girl look at the ogre-like man with a confused expression.

Well, Baldric is the type of existence that is easier to explain as a huge steel ball. If it is moving, you can't move it, and if it is moving, you should absolutely not stand in front of it.

This comparison fits his existence all too well.

By the time Ellie comes downstairs, all rainbows and sunshines in her light summer dress, the area outside the house is empty. It is so empty, that it feels emptier than normal.

Next week I expect to be getting on a plane to go to the capital at the time the thread starts, so we should have our reborn threads as normal on thursday and friday, but our new world will be in pause for a couple of weeks.
