You are techpriest Heracor Nahive. You were forcefully implanted a brain chip that made you into little more than a working drone; nullified your emotions and willpower. One day for unknown reasons the chip stopped working and you were returned to your former self. Darkness…there is nothing but Darkness around you. You are now alone with your thoughts, you try to move or even look down to see if you are still attached to your body but no matter how hard you try you cannot. Your flesh and metal vessel has now abandoned you because you are dead.

It is strange. You were promised an afterlife among the Omnissiah and the Emperor but all you encountered so far was mere nothingness. Was it because you were a traitor or maybe of that strange anomaly that plagued your mind?

Stress started accumulating and started constraining and choking you. There wasn't anything else you could think of but your daughter Alaria, your closest friend Liwet and the other few people you had befriended so far like Karelia, Fire in the Skin and Juliannus.

All around you strange forms of impossible colors started to form and started to advance in your direction like tendrils. You could sense they had hostile intentions. The more nervous and anxious you were the faster they advanced but no matter how hard you tried you couldn't move at all.

Just as they were about to grab and rip you out to pieces you were pulled out by an unseen force and returned to the Material Plane.

Suddenly you found yourself inside a tube that was filled with a transparent and viscous liquid that had strange traces of a whiteish sludge among it. Looking down you saw a great hole on your naked chest and how that same white substance was slowly covering it. It surely was a mix of artificial embryonic stem cells that were attaching to your own cells and helping the wound closing.

There were some tubes connected to you, their purpose was unknown but they surely were checking your vital signs or were pumping something inside of your fleshcage.

On the distance there was a shadowy figure, its image was distorted by the effect of the own liquid you were stored in. Moving around you saw a connection cable linked to your broken Vox Channel, you couldn’t talk yet but your mysterious savior had the detail of connecting you to a near microphone to let you talk.

It seems that this mysterious stranger hasn’t noticed your presence yet. You might be able to act before he or she has the chance to react.

Looking around isn't an easy task. You are still somewhat dizzy from your sudden awakening and the density of the liquid distorts the objects, the further away they are the less you can see what they are.

By judging only in the close area around you that you can truly see you theorize that it is possibly some medicae bay of highly technological level and possibly with organ and muscle cloning and life support possibilities.

There is a great layer of dust above some panels that surround you, the dusty lint drowns their original colors and light-bulbs with a grey veil that makes it look almost monochromatic. This was an old yet working place, surely you didn't moved very far away from the original ship you were in. You might even still had some chance of returning to your old vehicle and reunite with your team...

Now that some time had passed and your mind was much more clearer you tried to focus on that distant figure and what it intended. It wasn't as bulky and hunched as the orks were so luckily for you, you could discard the greenskins as your mysterious helpers.

The more the image became clearer and more details appeared the less you could believe it. In front of you and tinkering with some cogitators stood the Eldar Corsair you had raced with not long ago. You didn't knew what kind of obscure intentions could he have but the mere fact of watching some xenos use Imperial technology enraged you. A sensation that was surely fueled and empowered by traces of the Psyschollosus drug that you had ingested.

Your voice had some lag as it needed some time to travel from your body to the mic. It also sounded broken and way more mechanical than before.

"And to think that I pitied you..." The male Eldar turned around and walked towards your tube, his characteristics became as clear as water now. He was tall, at least a head taller than you and his pale face was covered in diminutive freckles that shined as if they were composed of diamond dust. His emerald and cold eyes were half hidden under a mane of jet black hair that while messy looked elegant and well groomed. "We both need the help of each other for our respective situations have reached a critical point in direness."

"I am Esciallan of the Jasdevi Craftworld. My purpose among those death races is not to prove the superiority of my race over theirs, it is something that the Orks could never understand nor gets their attention. I have raced over and over and every time I had won I asked the Warboss to continue racing in a general direction of my choosing. That way I have been able to keep his Kroozer and the rest of his ships that follow behind far away from my Craftworld and thus I have ensued their safety."

The Eldar turned his hand into a fist and in pure frustration punched the crystal that separated you from him.

"So far I have been overall victorious but lately I've been running out of luck. We aren't only in a chaos infested Space Hulk but also the closest the Warboss and his races have ever been of the secret coordinates my world stands at."

He turned around as if the following words were shameful to pronounce.

"Humanity is one of the few races it might be possible to discuss with. Since you killed my gunner I've been alone, we both have been separated and we cannot survive on our own. Together we might have a chance. The enemy of our enemy is our friend..."

With some light stride he dived into a dark corner and returned with his Jetbike.

"I know that you have some strong reason to be in there. You and the rest of your team are not tainted and there is surely someone among the higher ecchelons of your corrupt society forcing you all to be in there. During your delirium while you were bleeding yourself to death you mentioned some names...I also have friends and loved ones I want to return to."

Shyly you nodded and felt the thick liquid displacing as you did so.

"Thanks for saving my life. I have had dealings with your kind in the past."

"And now you are somewhat part of us. Your stem cells could close your wound but not repair the shattered ribs. I had to remove them all and create substitutes made from Wraithbone. It won't give you any special skill or perk but you better be grateful, it did save your life."

"H-how did you save me?"

"I was running away from some of the Warband's forces. I kept the bike floating behind an arch and I entered into some ventilation shafts. It was then when I saw you bleeding and the others fighting. I do not have any kind of remorse when it comes to killing human but I have seen what the Dark Prince can do to a soul and I didn't wanted you to suffer the same inferno. From the shaft I dropped a few Tears of Isha, a regenerative potion that is directly applied onto open wounds. It worked instantly and made you stop bleeding to some degree."

He sat on the ground and looked upwards at your direction, focusing on the wound.

"It wouldn't have saved you, the few Tears that I had weren't enough for such a big hole.I risked myself and descended to catch you and drag you into safety. It was then when I found this area and managed to further nurse you to health. I am now trying to access to a map to know what route to take and return to the first positions but it is taking me some time, I also have trouble accessing the cameras."

"I took the path of the Outcast and decided to go on my own with a few Rangers I had befriended. We didn't completely abandon our Craftworld but we aren't as attached as other Aspect Warriors are. It was a hard and painful path that we needed to sacrifice for because the rest didn't believed that the races of Madloota posed a risk for their safety and the safety of my world."

"What happened with my original team?

"You will have to help me access to the video circuit so we can know what happened. I left that area with you and didn't looked back, their fate is unknown for me..."

With the push of a button the tube was emptied and descended, liberating you and letting you move freely. Soon afterwards you were completely cleaned, dressed and once again equipped with your weapons. Taking the control of the cameras didn't took you a lot.

You accessed into a recording and played it. It showed the last moments you remembered. Looking at the date you noticed that it had been at least a couple of hours since it was recorded.

It showed how after you went flying by and landed into the ground how the rest of the vehicles continued frenetically exchanging bullets and insults. It was during that short time that Esciallan found and took you.

As it was driverless it took your trukk less than a minute to crash against the Spida-Mobeel, the Rokkit Rumbla as it was the biggest one saw this as a ramming intent and decided to join to prove that his Battlewagon was the biggest and baddest vehicle around.

The violent crash toppled down both vehicles sending their gunners to the ground, they soon started to fight each other with exchanges of punches or using anything they had close as an improvised weapon. None of them was able to notice how the bomb you helped them create earlier had been activated after the crash.

As soon as the Rokkit Rumbla drove to them with the intention of ramming and running over as many people as people the bomb exploded, this created a chain reaction that multiplied the power of the explosion a thousandfold as the engines and fuel deposits exploded too and later on the many rockets and flamers that the Rumbla carried.

The explosion created a hole that reached several levels and while it isn't enough to cripple the Hulk it would be a great breach in their defenses. Since their position was pretty close to the exterior hulls once again they had breached with the exterior. The open void sucked the few souls that managed to survive to not be seen never again.

For the next two hours the recording showed how the difference of pressure between the interior and the open void pulled things out until at the end an automated breaching protocol kicked in and closed enough doors to seal that particular part of the Hulk.

Unlike the last time you would now be a gunner and not a driver. You could carry your assortment of weapons with you but you better choose which ones to focus on because switching while driving will be a near impossible task.

You kept the two plasma weapons on your back. Shooting such delicate weapons on a quickly moving vehicle might make their delicate yet powerful machine spirits angry and if they sense that they are being shoot while on board a xenos vehicle they would surely unleash their rage in the form of a critical mass failure.

Even if they were not the most powerful options you ended choosing the two pistols, they had a decent range and unlike the heavier weapons you would be able to quickly reload them.

With them full of ammo and the rest of the weapons safely secured you seated onto the sleekly designed seat of the Jetbike. It was comfy...way too comfy. It felt odd after a few seconds.

"Are you ready?" He asked as he gave you your old armor's helmet and placed another driving helmet over his cranium.

"I have to. We don't have another option."

After saying this he accelerated his vehicle and created a vector curve that slowly ascended until it steadily floated above the ground.

"Tell me which direction to take!"

He said using a comm.

Not all Inquisitors are dickish, but quite a few of them are, and I think the guy that sent us here is that kind. The guy will likely pardon us as promised, but posthumously. Might as well seek some sort of assurance that we'll live.

Not very. Karelia might want to use Alaria as an exchange coin that she could use to blackmail Heracor if she needed.

The other inquisitor is from the Ordos Xenos and way too obsessed with his project to care about it. He just wanted to use Heracor as another pawn for his Ork Psyker capture mission.
