The series sort of does middle class already and though ghoul politics is very tempting, i can't turn down being able to run a gang.

I always thought a ghoul in the military would be smart and interesting. Satisfy bloodlust, eat the fallen enemies when nobody is looking, and you have a high survival chance when everyone uses regular bullets and shit.
