Aw yes. Been enjoying Spirit Detective and I'm finally around for a Human Quest.

Having transformed into a God, you find yourself at the side of the legendary Super Saiyan God Lord Beerus has come so far to fight. Yet, neither one of you has the strength to tackle the God of Destruction, at least not alone. It's a familiar scene, you and your friend Goku are banding together to face a mightier opponent. The outcome is uncertain, but that's never stopped you before, and it won't stop you now.

You gather your new energy, floating beside Goku as the two of you prepare to trade blows with the God of Destruction. Beerus looks between the two of you, still looking as confident as ever, but you can see the glimmer of excitement in his eyes, and wonder if he truly expects the two of you to be a match for him.

"It's actually pretty ironic," Beerus comments in an amused tone. "I never expected much out of the Saiyans or the Humans, yet here you two are; gods produced by races I saw as weak. It seems your species are full of surprises."

Follow Goku's lead in this one for the time being, we saw he couldn't control his SSG powers so we have to get used to ours first. Basically cover any of Goku's blind spots.

"For what it's worth, I never thought I'd be able to go toe-to-toe with a God," you tell Beerus. "This should be a great learning experience for Goku and I."

"Believe me, the pleasure is mine," Beerus tells you. "Now, let's get on with this."

You bring your fingers to your forehead, teleporting behind your opponent with Instant Transmission. Having seen Goku use this technique once, Beerus frantically looks around for you, turning just in time to block the first strike you make. However, this leaves him open to Goku, who delivers a kick to the back of Lord Beerus's head.

Caught off-guard, Beerus is knocked forward, and his defenses lower enough for you to hit him with your Wolf Fang Fist. Your first punch catches him right in the face, and the following palm-strike does the same. You attack relentlessly, throwing punch and claw-strike one after the other before throwing Beerus back with a double-palm-strike to the chest, right into a kick from Goku that sends him plummeting to the ground below.

The collision between Lord Beerus and the ground creates a sizeable crater and kicks up quite a bit of dust. When you're able to see, you spot Beerus standing in the crater, looking up at you and Goku with a smirk on his face.

"Not bad," he compliments, cleaning something out of his ear. "You both possess incredible power. But Kaguya, your attacks are sloppy. You clearly don't have much control over your new power."

He slowly begins rising, gaining altitude until he's on the same level as you and Goku.

"And Goku, you're still holding back on me, aren't you?"

Goku rubs the back of his head, laughing. "Was it that obvious?"

Beerus stares at him in irritation. A moment later, he's behind Goku, and delivers a quick chop to the Saiyan's neck that causes Goku to fall to the ground, his body going limp.

"Never hold back when fighting me," Beerus warns, watching as Goku hits the ground.

The God of Destruction looks to you. "I hope you will not make the same mistake."

The God of Destruction rushes towards you, and you fire a pair of energy blasts at him that he easily swats away. He keeps coming, throwing a punch that barely misses you as you move to the side, grabbing his wrist and shoulder before kneeing him in the gut.

You move back, silently sending commands to the two energy blasts Beerus knocked away, bringing them around behind him to strike him in the back.

Beerus turns, firing a blast of his own that hits the two of yours before turning back to you, a smile on his face.

"Not a bad trick, but hardly original," Beerus tells you. "Give me some credit; I've fought for a very long time. You'll need to really surprise me if you hope to stand a chance."

"Here's a surprise!" Goku shouts, shooting up from beneath Beerus and punching him in the jaw.

Before Beerus has the chance to counter, Goku kicks him in the gut, pushing the God of Destruction away. Then, putting his fingers to his forehead, Goku uses Instant Transmission just as Beerus unleashes an energy wave. You quickly move out of the way, and watch as Goku appears behind Beerus, giving the god a chop to the neck.

Beerus looks up at Goku, who gives a little laugh before backing off.

"There, now we're about even," Goku tells him.

Beerus smirks. "You always make sure all debts are paid, do you?"

"That's right," Goku answers.

"Then you're just like me," Beerus tells him, slowly backing up. "Why don't both of you attack me at once? Let's see if you can give me a challenge?"

We tried that before when we fused with Yamcha, it didn't seem to affect Beerus, probably because you can't really destroy a God with the type of energy the Destructo Disk is made of.

But a Godly Ki-infused one could hurt him. But I don't think actually harming Beerus is our goal. Right now we're just having a "friendly" spar.

Charge and IT behind him leaving an afterimage that distracts him from our frontal assault. Start meteor crashing him while applying the ki thrust technique Yamcha made to our fists slowly making sure to coat the same spots with our ki before launching him and firing a barrage of ki blasts that home in on the god ki we coated beerus in and then detonating the coated ki by extending two of fingers and applying our telekinetic powers . Basically call the new move "Hunter's Mark" or something close to it.

You rush forward, and Goku does the same, joining you in your assault against the God of Destruction.

The two of you strike fiercely and powerfully, holding nothing back as you attack from every angle. Beerus moves with incredible speed to avoid and parry every attack you throw. You keep attacking, knowing that soon enough you'll be able to catch up with him.

That's when you realize that something is wrong.

Your speed isn't increasing, your strength isn't growing, you're not making any improvements no matter how hard you work to hit Lord Beerus.

Beerus moves his bottom half so that he's lying sideways in the air, then gives you a kick to the face that slams you into Goku. The collision stuns you and knocks Goku off-balance, and Lord Beerus takes advantage, rushing forward and head-butting Goku before backhanding you and sending you sailing away through the air. You recover to see a volley of energy blasts following you, and quickly fire your own to intercept them.

The blasts detonate, creating smoke that obscures your vision. You sense for Lord Beerus, only to realize that he's directly behind you. You turn just in time for a kick to the jaw, which Beerus follows with a spin-kick to your gut that knocks the air from your lungs and sends you flying away before you plummet to the ground.

Looking up, you see Goku rush towards Beerus, attacking with enough power for you to feel the shockwaves from your spot on the ground. You push yourself back to your feet and decide what to do next.

I'm down, he did say we need to surprise him if we want to stand a chance against him. So what better way than making a new technique on the spot just for him.

You take a moment to sense for the power of the other two combatants. What you find is not very reassuring.

Goku's power is well above your own, and if Beerus's unconcerned demeanor is anything to go by, his power is well beyond even Goku's. With your power not growing in this fight, you have little hope of catching up with them, unless they suffer some serious damage, anyhow.

Still, you're not one to give up just because things look bad. You're going to show Beerus and Goku both just what humans are capable of.

You use Instant Transmission to appear right in front of Beerus just after he kicks Goku away. Catching him off-guard, you attack with a swift barrage of punches, for some reason attempting to coat various spots on Beerus's body with your energy. Of course, that doesn't actually work, so you settle for kicking Beerus in the jaw and sending him flying into the distance, sending a volley of energy blasts after him.

Sighing, Beerus fires an energy wave that cuts through your blast and nearly destroys you. You dive to the ground just in time to evade the attack, but Beerus is right on top of you, attacking with a head-butt. You thrust your palm forward and catch his head, finding yourself being pushed back across the ground.

You gather energy and shoot it from your palm, blasting Beerus on the top of his head. Beerus hops back, giving you a look of annoyance.

"I have to say, I'm disappointed," Beerus comments. "Your power is nowhere near what I was hoping for."

He moves faster than you can keep track of, placing his hand on your forehead and unleashing energy from his palm. You feel your scalp burn, and you're thrown off your feet, sliding on your back across the ground.

Beerus extends his hand towards you, gathering his energy before pausing and looking over his shoulder and up in the air.

You look up to see Goku gathering energy, his hands cupped together and glowing with blue light.

"KA.......ME......." he begins.

Beerus turns towards Goku completely, placing his hands behind his back and staring up at the Super Saiyan God.

"With that much power, you're sure to destroy this entire planet," he points out.

He's right. In fact, if Goku's not careful, that blast could wipe out the entire solar system. You're not sure what he's up to; destroying a planet isn't his style.

"This world's abandoned," Goku reminds Beerus. "So I don't have to hold anything back here."

"I see," Beerus replies. "Well, in that case, show me everything you've got!"

Putting your fingers to your head, you teleport over to Goku, who continues to gather energy as Lord Beerus watches.

"Do you know what you're doing?" you ask.

Goku nods. "Yeah, I'm hitting Beerus with everything I've got. Get ready!"

Beerus remains stationary, looking up at you and Goku, waiting for your friend to unleash his attack.

"Well, are you going to attack or not?" Lord Beerus asks.

"HA......ME....." Goku answers, pulling his hands back.

Beerus grins.

"HAAAAA!"

Goku thrusts his hands down towards Beerus, unleashing a massive blue beam of energy from his palms. Beerus doesn't move a muscle as the blast barrels towards him, but you're pretty sure you see his eyes widen at the last instant before the attack strikes him in a planet-shattering collision.

In mere seconds, the planet Mars is reduced to nothing but a cluster of massive space rocks. You and Goku avoid the asteroids as they come, looking around for any sign of Lord Beerus.

An asteroid behind you and Goku shatters, and a beam of energy comes shooting through space, catching Goku in the chest as he turns, and sending him screaming through the rocks and out into the void of space.

Beerus, surrounded by a purple glow and looking a lot more serious slowly floats towards you, watching as Goku vanishes into the distance.

"That hurt," Beerus informs you, turning and giving you his full attention. "But as I've said before, there are none in the whole universe who can match the power of Beerus the Destroyer."

He smiles wickedly. "But, Super Human God, if you'd like to try, be my guest."

Actually, I think we need to stop being so defensive and go on the offensive. It took Goku going near all-out for a little bit before he got a decent amount of control over his God Ki. All we've been doing is being rather defensive and not testing our new limits.

Honestly this whole "no Super Human stuff while as a God" is just another limit we need to overcome, I mean, we are THE Super Human God, if we can't overcome this we can't call ourselves a Super Human.

I mean, normally the Super Human shenanigans work when we push ourselves and honestly believe we can overcome whatever opponent we're facing.

But from when we met Beerus, he's easily beaten Buu, easily beat the Kaguya + Yamcha fusion, and just face tanked a SSJG Goku Kamehameha with little more than a scratch.

And all we've done is be defensive and try to be cutesy with IT moves and trying to mark Beerus with our Ki.

Let's top being cute, power up to full, and just try to bitch slap Beerus into the next galaxy until we actually do it.

There could be some unconscious fear too, mainly fear of ourselves if we did succeed in beating Beerus. He grins. "I showed up and defeated the most powerful people you knew with ease. Even with your fusion technique, I was able to defeat you with little trouble. And now, even as a God, your power is dwarfed by my own. Your Super Human powers work based on you believing that you can overcome the challenge you're facing, but with me, you don't believe you can win."

"You may be right," you admit to Beerus. "If you are, then there's only one way to overcome it."

Smirking at Lord Beerus, you yell, letting out all of your energy, charging at Lord Beerus as fast as you can. You catch him off-guard, landing a strong punch to his face.

Beerus answers with one of his own, striking you in the cheek and forcing you to turn your head. You slowly push your head back, grinning at Beerus before kicking him in the jaw and knocking him away.

You rush after Beerus, and he lets out a wild scream before meeting your charge. The two of you collide with enough force to vaporize many space-rocks with your shockwave, and break apart before rushing towards each other again, frantically punching at one another. Beerus lands the first hit, knocking you back before charging and pummeling you with a series of punches and chops.

Fighting through the pain, you fire an energy wave that strikes him in the chest and pushes him back. You use Instant Transmission to teleport behind him, kicking him in the back of the head before blasting him in the back, sending him hurtling towards and asteroid.

Beerus turns around, swatting your attack away and answering with a large purple energy wave. You dive beneath it, but see Beerus rushing towards you. You meet his charge, and the two of you lock hands, pushing against each other before Beerus manages to overpower you and kick you in the chest, sending you crashing into a large space rock.

"Much better," Beerus compliments, gathering his energy to unleash more attacks.

You charge towards Beerus, using Instant Transmission to avoid his next blast, and appearing behind him.

Beerus spins, elbowing at your head, but you duck and throw punch after punch at Beerus, striking him in the chest over and over and over as he yells in shock. You throw an uppercut that strikes him in the jaw, and a kick to the face that sends him bouncing off an asteroid.

He recovers immediately, smiling as he looks towards you. "Much, much better."

He begins to hover towards you. "Still, I'm not using my full power yet, and you're beginning to look a little tired."

He's right, you're beginning to feel fatigue set in. You can keep going for a few more minutes, but you're not sure if that will be enough time to catch up with and defeat Lord Beerus.

Goku appears at your side, a look of determination on his face. Beerus smirks as he looks at the two of you.

"Now this should be interesting," he comments, his body becoming surrounded by that purple glow again. "Come on, then! Hit me with everything you have!"

He chuckles. "Sorry, Lord Beerus's last attack left me a little out of it for a while."

The two of you gather your energy, and rush towards Beerus.

Beerus meets your charge, shooting past you and kicking the both of you in the back of the head. You and Goku fall, but quickly recover and rush back up towards Beerus.

He's waiting when the two of you reach him, and fends off the attacks you and Goku throw before one of Goku's kicks catches him in the gut, and one of your punches catches him in the face. Goku ducks beneath you and kicks Beerus in the chest again ad you leap up and kick Beerus in the face.

The God of Destruction is pushed back, and turns around as Goku gets behind him with Instant Transmission, holding his hands in front of his face. Seeing the sun shining behind Goku, you realize what he's about to do and shield your eyes.

"SOLAR FLARE!"

Beerus is blinded by a flash of light, and you rush in, kicking him in the side of the head and sending him crashing through an asteroid. Goku comes to your side, and the two of you fire a barrage of energy blasts after Beerus.

You see the blasts become engulfed by a purple light just before they reach Beerus, and a powerful blast of energy comes heading your way.

Goku moves in front of you, cupping his hands at his side.

"KAMEHAMEHA!!"

His energy wave rushes to meet the one sent by Beerus, but you're pretty sure Goku will lose that struggle.

So, as the two blasts collide in a spectacular flash of light and begin to push against one another, you cup your hands at your side and unleash a blast at Beerus's head.

"KAMEHAMEHA!!!"

Beerus's eyes go wide as your blast shoots towards him. With his other hand, he unleashes an energy blast to meet your own, and the two attacks collide in an explosion that vaporizes even more space rocks.

"RAAAAAGH!" Beerus screams, putting more energy into his attacks and overpowering your own.

You're struck, and feel a powerful burning sensation as you crash through an asteroid. You bring your fingers to your head and use Instant Transmission to teleport behind Lord Beerus. He spins, and you teleport again, coming to one side while Goku appears at the other. The two of you jump around before you appear in front of Lord Beerus, and Goku appears above him.

Cupping your hands at your sides, the two of you unleash Kamehameha Waves on Beerus at the same instant, striking him full blast this time. The combined force of your attacks shatters what remains of the Martian debris, and the shockwaves actually push both you and Goku back.

You keep pouring in energy, more and more of it, even as the shockwaves continue to push both you and Goku further away. Soon, however, it becomes too much.

The two of you stop your attacks, catching your breath as the smoke slowly clears, revealing that Beerus is still very much alive, and doesn't appear particularly hurt.

"Now, it's my turn," he tells you, rising high above the two of you and holding his hands out in front of himself.

His hands rise above his head, and a colossal ball of light is formed. It's absolutely blinding, and looks like a miniature sun. The power coming from it is absolutely unreal, and you're pretty sure that if you and Goku cant stop it, it will destroy you.

The two of you share a glance before moving to each other's sides. Beerus grins down at you before unleashing his attack, and, with a yell, both you and Goku reach out to stop it.

The blast touches your palms, and you push with all of your might, only to find yourself being slowly pushed back. Goku lets out a yell as he struggles against the attack, but ultimately runs into the same problem as you.

The two of you continue to get pushed back, seemingly powerless to so much as slow down this overwhelming attack. That's when you glance over your shoulder and see that you're slowly but surely being pushed towards Earth.

If this attack isn't stopped, your world will be destroyed, even if it does take a while for the blast to reach it.

"Goku! We're heading right for Earth!" you shout.

"What?!" your friend shouts back in disbelief.

The two of you are slowly pushed back, struggling against the inevitable as the attack continues to overwhelm your strength. You picture Videl, Drake, your parents, your friends, all of them dying because you were too weak to save them.

You glance over at Goku, and you're pretty sure he's thinking along similar lines in regards to Chi Chi and his children. The two of you roar as you push with all of your might, and, to the surprise of both yourself and Beerus, you are able to push the attack right back at the God who sent it.

Beerus looks in absolute shock as his own blast comes for him. It strikes him full force, and as it burns out, fire shoots out in all directions. You and Goku quickly get out of the way, and watch as Beerus comes back into view, scorched but still very much alive.

You and Goku are absolutely wiped out. You used every bit of strength you had to redirect that attack, and Goku looks like he did the same. It's clear that Beerus can keep going, however. You've lost this battle, though judging by the expression on the God of Destruction's face, you're pretty sure you put up a good fight.

"Now, that's impressive," Beerus says, slowly moving towards the two of you.

"I'll say," Whis agrees as he appears beside Beerus. "Their power is remarkable indeed. Why, given time, they might even become as strong as you, Lord Beerus."

Beerus frowns. "I suppose they could...."

He raises his hands, glowing with purple light as he holds his palms towards you and Goku. The two of you brace for the end, but Beerus sighs and lowers his hands.

"Of course," Beerus answers. "Neither of you are in any condition to keep fighting. I could easily destroy your planet if I wanted, but I did promise to spare it."

"Thank goodness..." Goku says in relief.

"Did you even come close to using your full power?" you ask.

"Oh, I used somewhere in the area of eighty percent," Beerus answers. "It's been a long time since I've had to use that kind of power."

"Only eighty percent?" Goku asks. "Man, what a bummer."

"You're a lot stronger than I thought, Lord Beerus," you admit. "It makes me wonder just how you were able to beat Whis."

Whis laughs. "Beat me? I'm afraid Lord Beerus has never managed that accomplishment."

Beerus grumbles, but doesn't deny it.

"So then, what happens now?" you ask.

"I suppose you return to your planet, and we return to ours," Beerus tells you. "Seems logical, know what I mean?"

You nod. "Thanks for indulging us, Lord Beerus."

Beerus smiles. "The pleasure was mine. You should know that I'll be back some day, and if you can't provide me greater a challenge when that happens, then I'll destroy your planet."

Goku laughs. "Deal. But I think next time I want to fight you on my own."

Beerus smirks. "Yes, I think that can be arranged. I'll fight you two one at a time."

We need to increase our power by 150% before next time Beerus arrives in an unspecified amount of time. We need to spar with Godly ki.

Whis smiles. "That sounds delightful. Lord Beerus, it's about time we left, wouldn't you say?"

Beerus nods. "Yes, let's be going."

Whis turns around, and Beerus places a hand on his shoulder. The two of them then vanish in a flash of light, disappearing into space.

"Brings back memories of us working together with Vegeta on Namek to beat Frieza, doesn't it?" you ask, looking over at Goku.

He smiles. "Sure does. Except, we actually won that fight."

Honestly, you might call this a win, to. Both of you survived, the Earth is safe, and the two of you had a fun fight. What more can you ask for.

"Come on, let's go home," you say, and the two of you turn towards Earth and fly.

"One of Lord Beerus's most powerful attacks," Whis explained. "He must really want to test them."

"Kaguya..." Videl breathed with worry.

"Come on, Goku! Don't let that jerk win!" Chi Chi screamed into the projection.

"That's right! Put that party crasher in his place!" Bulma agreed.

Vegeta stared at the projection wide-eyed, sweat dripping down his face as he watched the two gods struggle against Beerus's attack.

"Come on, big brother! You can do it!" Drake shouted with confidence.

"That's right! Nobody can beat Kaguya and Goku!" Krillin agreed.

"Goku! We're heading right for Earth!" Kaguya shouted.

"What did he just say?" Roshi asked nervously.

"This isn't good...." Piccolo said in a grand understatement.

Everyone watched Goku and Kaguya struggle, then erupted into cheers as the pair redirected the attack.
