When I think of the Coven, I imagine this.

You head over to an open space and to do some stretching.

"I know that I have what I need" You say. "In the end the weapons and explosives are only going to get me so far. My real strength is my body, and I feel like dying because I pulled a muscle would be pretty embarrassing"

Jessica watches you stretch with mild interest, and you keep going until you have about 5 minutes left. By this time, Kyla's already said good luck and has taken Mori back to the bouncing room.

"Anything else I can do for you?" Jessica asks.
"Yeah" You say. Then you walk over to her and wrap your arms around her.

"Heyyyy, how ya doin'?" She asks.
"Quiet you. I'm trying to-"
"Shore up your reserves, I know" She says, returning your embrace. "Lemme give you a hand with that"

Jessica closes her eyes, and you feel that familiar warmth of foreign mana entering your body.

"Don't get too greedy now" She says.
"I'm not the one managing this" You say.

After a few minutes, Jessica breaks the connection and steps away.

You check your watch. Only a few seconds to go...

"One last thing" She says.
"What's tha-"

Jessica takes your chin and gently pulls you down to her, giving you a soft kiss on the lips.

"That was for good luck" She says. "Now go get 'er"

And then she's gone, and in her place is the soft red glow of the moon shining in through the window...

You're back in your butler uniform again. It feels like it's been ages since you've worn this.

The Shield is on your face, and the Archive is in a holster of sorts at your hip. The screen is facing out, so you can access it more easily.

You try it out, swiping your hand across it to grab a grenade. Simple, easy, you think you like this setup.

The door opens behind the bar, so you rush over to it and jump through...

To find yourself surrounded by stone walls that are taller than you can see... There is a path, though, so you run down it quickly in fast-time.

According to the updates, The Witch, The Puppeteer, and The Keeper each confirmed right away.

You confirmed shortly after that, and The Creator, The Butcher, The Traitor, The Smith, The Tyrant, The Berserker, The Traveller, and The Spy all confirmed right after that.

It's safe to say that The Witch is Safi, and if your suspicions are correct then The Traitor and Smith are Yui and Boss.

You reach the end of the path, and it splits off in two directions, so you pick on, It splits again, and again, until you hit a dead end.

"Is this... is this place a fucking labyrinth?" You ask out loud.

With the dead end before you, you start hearing some very big footsteps from behind...

You turn around and walk towards the footsteps. Whatever this thing is, big footsteps rarely mean 'big and friendly'. Better to meet it head on than to wait for it in a corner.

It doesn't take long at all to find it, as it's waiting at the only escape route. At the point where the path branches you see a giant lizard with numerous heads.

A Hydra... this is a fucking Hydra...

So you do what anyone would do in this situation: clack your boots together, and do the Hydra salute. "Hail Hydra!" You say.

The Hydra is unimpressed. You think you might have made it mad.

Tyrant's opinion of Harvey

"Not a fan, eh?" You ask the Hydra.

The Hydra pulls back all of its heads, and lets out a roar. Then it strikes with all of them at once.

You enter fast-time and weave through them. Even with your limited knowledge of Hydras you know that it's not only pointless, but detrimental to cut the heads off.

So you work your way through the heads, summoning your sword as you do. You move closer to the chest with each dodge, and pull out a lovely, large package of C4 from the Archive.

When you reach its chest, you re-enter real-time and slash it open. It takes a few strikes, and you have to dodge a few times in between, but eventually you break its tough scales and the muscle underneath.

Your regards to the Smith. This sword is fantastic.

Then you stuff the package of C4 into the opening, getting your sleeve nice and bloody in the process, and run like hell.

After a few seconds, the package explodes. A lot of the explosives in the Archive are already set to explode in a number of seconds, but inside the Archive the timers are frozen.

You enter slow-time, and the resulting gore doesn't stick. But god damn... there's blood everywhere. But more important than the blood, is the fact that the explosive seems to have broken through the wall.

That package might have been a little overkill, but if the walls can be broken...

One day, we shall externalize our time magic to such an extant that we'll be able to erode a wall to dust.

You take a moment to try and locate Safi. You can kind of feel the connection, but it's distant. At least you think it is. You don't have much experience to go off of here.

Back when you were kids, you don't think you ever went further than an arm's length away from each other. It hurt you so much when you had to leave her behind...

But now you can make that right. You just have to find her first, which means navigating this damn maze. Well, you suppose that you could just blow through any actual dead ends you come across...

So you carefully step through the Hydra guts, and make your way in the direction that you sense Safi in. But the going is slow, even at your running pace. You don't feel yourself getting that much closer, which either means that this place is massive, or that she's avoiding you, or that you just won't feel it.

You eventually come to a dead end, and with no way around it, you reach for another explosive...

Only to have the wall burst open sending rubble flying all about. A person emerges from the hole, curled up like a cannon-ball.

And they slam right into you, knocking you to the floor.

The person lands behind you and you quickly get back to your feet, ready for a fight.

"Saif!" They say. They jump on you, wrapping their arms and legs around you and whipping your mask off. Then they start planting kisses all over your face. "You *smooch* came!"

"Safi?" You ask. You hold her back to get a look at her face, and it's definitely her. "I thought you would be... y'know"
She gives you one more kiss before planting her face into your shoulder. "He can't control me if he's not here" She says.

"That's... that's great!" You say. "Relatively"

You can feel your connection once more. It feels good to be whole again.

But you feel pain and sorrow coming from her.

"He didn't hurt you... did he?" You ask.
"No..." She says.
"I'm sensing a 'but' there, and I'm not liking it" You say.
"He made me..." She lets you go, landing on her own feet as she trails off.

You're getting a better idea of where her pain is coming from as the connection strengthens... It's in her... lower abdomen?

"He didn't" You say.
"No... like I said..." She says, covering her privates with her hands. "He... he made me do it..."

Your eye twitches, your fists and your jaw clench. You don't think you have ever felt so much hate in your entire life. Safi senses your anger, and hugs you again.

Safi steps away from you, and you can feel a low hum in your head as she zips over to a wall, jumps, curls up, and crashes right through.

You run over to the hole, to find Safi getting up off the ground and dusting herself off.

"The landing is the hard part, but you get the idea" She says.

You nod. Time to try it for yourself...

Tighten it... You think you know how to do that... maybe.

Before running at the wall, you do a quick test with Safi. By slowing yourself and having her try to touch you, you can tell if you're doing it right or not.

After a few tries, you get it. Then it's your turn to bust a wall.

You enter fast time and run at it, building up momentum before jumping, curling up, and entering this new tightened slow time.

The wall doesn't even faze you as you smash through it. You quickly re-enter real time and land with your feet spread and a hand on the ground to slow your momentum.

A second later, Safi peeks through the hole. "Nicely done!" She says. "You even stuck the landing. I can never stick the landing..."

"I've got more practice there" You say. "I actually used to use slow time to jump off buildings"
Safi blinks. "Damn, why didn't I think of that?" She asks.
"You aren't stupid and reckless?" You ask.
"Aww, don't say that. You aren't reckless" She says.

"No arguments for the other one?" You ask.
"You can be stupid sometimes" She says.

From further into the labyrinth, you hear more giant footsteps. A minotaur comes barreling around the corner, and it charges towards you.

"Shall we?" You ask.

You ignore the obvious joke about Minotaurs and labyrinths for the time being, and match the massive brute's charge with one of your own.

It sets its head low, putting its horns on level with you. You hold your hands out and open them, ready to recieve. You strengthen your arms and legs as it impacts, and tank the hit.

Then, using its own momentum as well as your own strength, you flip it over you. As soon as it's above your head, a ray of light from Safi's hand burns a swath across its back.

You felt her preparing that spell. She uses the same slowtime trick to maximize mana that you do, but the spells she's using are more advanced so she uses fast time first to prepare the spell.

It's a deadly combination of time-states to manipulate magic and mana to maximize power, and the effect is noticeable.

You slam the Minotaur into the ground behind you, where it reels from the wound it just recieved. Before it can stand, you strengthen an arm and crack its skull between the horns.

Then a blast of lightning rakes its way up its chest, and it stops struggling. You hop up on its chest so you can see Safi. "Nicely done" You say.
"Not so shabby yourself" She says.

You help her over the dead giant, and then down the other side. "I work out" You say.
Safi giggles. "I'm surprised we haven't run into anyone" She says.
"We just murdered a Minotaur in seconds" You say. "They might be avoiding us"

Safi's eyes shoot to the corner the Minotaur came from. "Or trying..." She says.
You can feel it, she senses someone...

Someone is definitely there. You aren't quite sure how Safi knows, but she is certain and that's good enough for you.

The mask is familiar, sort of. It's the same circular mask that Stonehand wears, but its colors are inverted to white on black as opposed to black on white.

"No" You say. "You're not"
"I don't suppose you're the type to negotiate, are you?" She asks.
"You've tried to kill me twice" You say.

"Not even if I put my offer to help kill the Glutton on the table for you?" She asks.
"Why would you do that?" You ask.
"Because you can obviously see how toxic that garbage is" She says, peering further around the corner to look at Safi. "Hello, by the way"

"Because I know that his team mates are thralls, though it seems like they're free when he isn't here" She says. "And it's really all I have to offer. My position isn't great right now"

You raise an eyebrow at her. She can't see it behind the mask, but you think she knows.

"So what do you say? If you agree to help me until I meet up with my cohorts, we'll help you put an end to the Glutton" She says. "It's a good deal. You're happy, I'm happy, they're happy, she's happy. Everybody's happy! err... except for the Glutton, but that's not important"
