To prevent aliens from destroying a building, destroy all the buildings yourself. You are not an alien, so you have prevented the alien from destroying a building.

Without the conspiracy mumbojumbo, yeah there have been experiments that showed that an electromagnetic field can bend light, however it takes a lot of energy to be able to do it on a large enough scale as to have any military applications. The biggest thing they've managed this far is a tiny part of a peny. Theoretically we might be able to make ourselves invisible to lighy, but anyone who can sense energy or who has a scouter would still detect us, that and it wouldn't mask our scent or sounds.

Master Roshi, oh hey, General Blue, and... the Kamehameha wave. Next is him encountering that one lady's air squadron... that's most familiar to you. Baba stops.

He continues on his way, defeating Tien easily, but chasing after... one of King Piccolo's minions after Krillin is killed. Goku's too exhausted to put up a fight... Next is him going to Korin's, the Ultra Divine Water. He drinks it, and faces... both Piccolo AND Shura. Tien lays dead before them.

Goku... transforms.

"I... I'd become a Super Saiyan, so young?" the monkey boy questions.

Baba hesitates. "And... that is why it is a good thing he was held back." Goku on the screen... Shura and Piccolo can't even hold a candle to him. He annihilates them both and-

"Did... there was no Piccolo Jr. here, was there?"

Baba shakes her head. "Goku would have to travel to another world to save his friends. He would be stronger... but he would be the only one on this 'Path to Power.' None of his friends would be able to compare to his strength. You two 'Wild Cards' have changed that."

You see a trio of people who aren't typical Earthlings on the way. One looked like some sort of lizard person wearing a long white and pink shirt, maybe a lady? Another was a tall pink woman dressed in odd armor, with a red cape. The last was someone who covered up most of himself in a dark blue outfit, but you could almost swear was a Namekian if you didn't know better. Strangest of all they seemed to recognize Goku, but not you. They almost seemed weirded out that you were with him. Familiarity isn't waning that fast, is it?

You sit down with Goku and are offered a couple menus, and at the very least the waiter seems to recognize you, even addressing you as "Mifan Champion." Goku scans down the menu, picking maybe a third of it. Less than you were expecting, at least. Maybe this won't cost you everything you have. You...

Ah, what the hell. Might as well order what looks delicious! You get some stir-fry beef, a side of veggies and noodles and some delicious looking rice pilaf, "Emperor's favorite!" it says with a little image of Pilaf himself next to it giving a V-sign. Hah. Still, good to save some room for desert.

Goku's ordered what you did and more. Several things of chicken, lamb, pork, fish, various kinds of meat. You spend some time talking with Goku, going over some other training details you and the others did while Goku was training up at Kami's. A few things he missed out on, just filling him in. Goku tells you a bit more about his training with Kami too, spending a lot of time actually training with Mr. Popo. Man, how does that guy get so strong, anyway?

When your food finally gets there, you're honestly surprised by how delicious it is. Gods, it's amazing! Goku... he doesn't quite wolf down his food, but he clearly enjoys it as much as you do, if not more. After he's had a decent amount of face-stuffing, he starts up conversation again. "Say, uh... Maple?"

"Mhmm?"

Goku looks away, scratching his head. "Well... back after the Tournament, Grandpa mentioned something to me, and..." He's trying to figure out the right way to phrase his question.

There are multiple similar pasts that could all converge into the same present.
