Is okay, the one that started late was me. Sorry. 2 hours before thread start time i got sleepy and said "eh, its two hours early, i can catch a blink" and here we are...

Anyway let's start right away. Last we left them, Eldric, Aritsu and Lyann had gone to visit Grumnir and then the guildhousem and we decided to buy the the cards, including the Dragonfly card.

We give him the address of the rockithip docks, and tell him to just leave a message for us by name. Since we own the place, we should be able to use it this way, right? of course, we don't tell him that.

We call Lyann over, and quietly point her to the quest poster. She looks at it with a serious expression, and takes it down without saying anything.

We remove the request posters for the hide and the dragon quests, then take them to the counter to confirm that we are taking the mission.

Oh, we also sign up Aritsu as an adventurer.

Actually, we used to be registered as part of Grumnir's party, the [White Iron Hammer]. Now that we are on our own, the clerks wants to know our party's name.

Uhmm...

I sort of want to say [Swords & Roses] because we have so many cute girls with us, but my naming sense isn't that great. Maybe something based on our origin? something like [Albion Strikers]? no, actually, only Lyann is a local, right?

Well, having signed up, Aritsu gets her brand new adventurer card, and we update ours. She is a F Rank adventurer, but since we are B rank, its fine if she is with us.

Incidentally, both Zoe and Stella are S rank... we stopped climbing adventurer ranks a couple of years ago, while they go to the dungeon semi-regularly to get various materials.

This means that if they are with us, we can take S ranked missions... this means they would technically be the party bosses... let's not think about it too much.

Alright, with that done, let's go pick them up.

We leave the guildhouse and head home, then [Treestride] from the apple tree in the back garden all the way to one of the trees in the keep's inner garden.

The staff welcomes us home, and informs us that the girls have gone into the dungeon with our grandfather.

Well, chances are, they are quite safe. The old man could bulldozer his way up and down all 200+ floors of the dungeon on his own, and they have Portia with them, so I imagine they will stick to the less dangerous floors, right?

Right. They'll just fight some low-level monsters like kobolds and mimics.

Right? we can trust in grandfather's common sense...

It is almost dinner time, and knowing grandfather and Stella, they should be about to come back out any moment now. I can't decide if Stella's gluttony is granfather's fault, or if those two just match each other perfectly.

We need to grind our levels more. Grandpa should no longer be at the head of the Lightbringer House. We can't afford his shortsighted leadership any longer.
He's a good person but he is a foolish old man where it concerns global politics and the need for nation and regional scale research and infrastructure projects.
He deactivated and stopped maintenance on the Keep's defenses, showing that he is irresponsible. Euphy and her dad should have stopped him.
This is as much their fault as it is his.

Yes, but we still need a lot of things done at the same time, not the least of which is grinding more levels so that we can effectively fight against the ERRORS and bumpin up the levels of our little siblings so that they're better able to survive the war.
Also because MP pools are determined during youth, and they'll have smaller pools if we wait too long.

So, we go and check our room... actually, Lyann has her own room on a nearby hallway.

As romantic- comedy-like that it would be to wander around in the night to eachother's room, she seems quite uninterested on her room, except maybe as a place to store some clothes.

Well, as for our own room... it's quite nice. It faces west so we can see a sizeable part of the city as well as the shore and the sea, and the light comes in quite softly in the morning and lingers to the last moment in the evening.

We have a walk-in closet, though it would be more accurate to say it is a small, attached room. There is one extra, small room attached to ours for us to do whatever we want with...

Maybe a bath? we could use some basic low level magical items to produce water and dispose of waste, so its not as if we need to install pipes and such... uhmm...

Ah, we have three smaller closets. The bed is quite large, if not quite king-size... if we asked to have it changed for a larger one, would nana give us a weird look?

Uhmm... maybe we could storage books in the extra room.

We are still in the room when a maid knocks on the door to let us know that dinner will be served soon, and that grandfather has returned.

"Hmm... it is a nice room, but we have to go to the dining room, now..." -moans out Aritsu while we show her the room from behind
"In a minute."
"P-president...!" -she cries out as we insistently show her the room from behind

A bit later, we go into the dinning room to greet grandfather and pick up the girls....

...Pörtia's level is at 50 now.

Hey, what happened to sticking to the starting floors!? what happened to common sense?

No, we can't blame Zoe, we had two leveling addicts in the party, right?

I guess Portia will grow up while sleeping, then? which job did she... ah, she's an archmage now... so she went wizard -> arcanist -> archmage

Well, at least they had the good sense to keep her in the back.

Keep her in the labs. Not because she's just a child, but because we need more scientists who can research and engineer a dimensional probe to send into the Black Moon.
We can build battle golems and requisition strong fighters from the Empire, but scientists and engineers aren't a commodity we can buy.

Alright, how should we get the Dreadnaught Job? We need to die once to get it, and if Lyann or Mako or Aritsu find out about our intentions, I don't know I they'll let us. Maybe we should ask Euphy and the retired demigod for help?

It was to help Miel get her Racial levels up, for us to spend more time with her, and to help her get over her instinctive fear of Arachnids.
We should still do it, not just to get more levels for us but to also level Miel to 100 so she can transform into a larger form.
