Today is turning out to be an... 'interesting' day, to say the least. After spending last night with Yui and a morning with Saito, now even Umeki and Hiroko seem to be amorously affectionate. Saito was strange enough, considering his own reluctance to express affection in a public setting, but getting this from these two is beyond bizzare. You stand rigidly, and awkwardly, as Hiroko feels you up from behind and Umeki stands just before you, admiring you with such big, innocent eyes.

Hey, why are you being so on edge about this? This is a GOOD kind of weird! For the longest time you've wanted to make up with Hiroko (and then make out), and Umeki always seemed too innocent to make any moves towards- but as long as she's the one trying to appease you~...

"How about we all sit down?" You ask the two of them, and point towards the dining area. They both think for a second, but ultimately agree, and you all head over. Luckily it's still early so only a few people are in here right now. Most people seem to be asleep or enjoying the early morning surf. You seat yourself and quickly find the both of them taking a position on either side of you. Still, you can enjoy Umeki's pancakes in peace, right?

"So, uh, what's gotten into you two?" You ask, eyeing the two of them whilst innocently eating. hiroko is the first to start nuzzling.

"Hm, I don't know. You just seem so... nice this morning." Hiroko explains.

"If I'm being 'nice' what does that make you?" You ask, leaning into her.

"Extra-nice," she says, smirking, "You don't like it?"

"Just the opposite..." You mutter to yourself. This is heaven.

"Um..." You feel Umeki prodding at your shoulder. "How is it?" She asks, gesturing to the food.

"Aheh, it's great." You reply back, smiling. "You're not feeling self-conscious about cooking all of a sudden, are you?"

"No, I just," she shrugs, blushing a bit, "wanted to make sure it was perfect for you. You've done so much for me, my family, the shrine... I feel like I've never had the chance to repay you for all your kindness." She sighs. You feel her hand touch your thigh gently, and hesitantly.

"Well- he was kind to me too, you know." Hiroko suddenly interrupts, clinging to your arm. "Back in swimming class, Makoto was the only one who believed in me~"

"Er- w-well it was more than that." She mutters, looking a little annoyed. Your eyes dart back and forth between the two. "We, uh, he confided in me about his powers. Not to mention we share a bond- as magical girls." She says, placing a hand on her chest. Umeki's eyes narrow.

"I knew about Makoto's magical girl form well before you even met him." She quietly points out. "Maiden White is practically a patron saint of the shrine."

"More like a mascot." She shoots back. Umeki's shoulders twitch, along with her eye, in anger.

"Uh, how 'bout we calm it down?" You ask, sweating slightly. You can now see a downside to dual infatuation...

"Oh- I'm sorry, did I upset you?" Umeki asks, raising a hand to her mouth.

"Clearly." Hiroko says. Umeki shoots her a dirty look, and you groan. This is not going well. Hiroko picks up a glass of water and holds it in front of her. She focuses on it with her eyes and you spy a flash pass over it.

"Umeki might be a decent cook, but can she do this?" Hiroko asks, holding the glass to you. It... doesn't look any different from water. Still, Hiroko looks so proud right now, you can't help but play to her a little, and take a sip. You twitch as it hits your tongue though; dancing with flavor like a smoothie or cocktail. You're not even sure how she did that.

"How is it?" She asks.

"Uh, g-good. That's some trick." You chuckle back. You can feel Umeki's eyes on the back of your neck though.

"Y-Yeah, you're my friend. You're pretty amusing, for such a dork." She admits, waving a hand dismissively. She's a bigger dork than you ever could be.

"That's not what I meant." You say. She gulps.

"...N-No, of course not." She replies. You don't really believe it though.

"Shizuko..." You say, putting your hands on your hips.

"Nyg- Look, s-shouldn't you be focusing on something else right now!?" She asks, throwing her hands around. "Shun, Yui, Aoi, Umeki, Hiroko- they're all at risk of whatever magical crap is going on right now. I'm clearly fine- you don't need to worry about me. W-Whatever this is, it's not... it's not affecting me. I'm not... a part of it." She says, quietening down a bit. "I'm not afflicted, or even magical- there's really nothing I can do until you fix everything. That's what you should be focusing on; the people in danger."

You don't get many more words in after that before she closes the door on you. You feel a little bad for some reason, but you couldn't be certain of exactly why. Shizuko isn't 'infected' so that's a good thing, right? If she was trying to get with you, you'd be in a world of trouble with her cunning. You need to make sure everyone is okay first. You head down the hall, but stop prematurely when you spy Yuuki just ahead.

"Yeah, Cocoa can affect people's hearts- it's her main power. She caused some strife for us on the island before, making everyone love and revere her like a personal goddess. We managed to overturn her and bring peace back, and she's been on our side ever since." She explains. "Nowadays she only uses her powers to improve people's moods or brighten their day. Works great for tourism, or so I hear. I can't believe she'd actually use it like THAT."

"I know you don't want to hear this after Pepper, but I think-"

"Why would she make me think you were beautiful?" Mai asks incredulously. "I mean, it's obvious, you're fabulous! I MEAN, I ALREADY KNEW THAT! Everyone knows that! GYAHHH!" She screeches again. Wow, she can think it, but she can't even SAY a bad thing about you. You can perhaps see the appeal of this ability.

"There's still one thing I don't get though." Mai groans, having recovered.

"Hm?" You hum. She points at you.

"That bikini? Seriously? It looks gorgeous." She states bluntly, then shakes her head.

"Y-Yeah, it is a bit much." You say, covering yourself up poorly and blushing. Mai stares at you with a blank look, which only makes you more self-conscious. "Mn, p-please stop staring."

"...Hmph." She scoffs, throwing a hand through her hair. "I could pull that off, if I wanted to..." Trust me Mai, you think, after this- you can HAVE this bikini.

"Okay, if Cocoa definitely was the one who started this, then she's the one to end it. I need to know where she is." You ask Mai.

"Hm, she likes to crawl the island's bars and clubs a lot during the evening, so right now she'd probably be in her house. It's here, on the south side." Mai says, pulling out a map on her phone and pointing to the location. It's pretty isolated from the rest of the buildings on the island, you think.

"I can't see any roads leading there." You comment. Mai shrugs.

"Cocoa likes her privacy." She sighs back to you. "Ironically, considering her licentiousness."

"Hm..." You mutter, memorizing the location.

"Makoto... I really don't think Cocoa would do this." Mai mutters, looking concerned. "She... promised me, and... I want to believe her. I so desperately do..." She mutters, playing with her fingers. Maybe Pepper left a bigger impression than you remember; it can't be easy being betrayed in such a way by someone you thought you loved and trusted with your life.

"Hm, well, I should check on Shun first." You say, kneeling down to her, face-down on the sand. That's probably not healthy. "Shuuun~ wakey, wakey!" You say, tapping her on the back. Her face twitches and she moans, slowly rising to her knees.

"Ngh... what... what happened?" Shun grunts, shaking her head and spreading sand everywhere like a dog. Just before she notices you, and passes out again, Mai whips off the shirt wrapped around her waist and pulls it onto you, covering your shaaame.

"Makoto teleported in. She can do that now. Apparently." She quickly quips. Shun glances at you, looking like you're just wearing a baggy hawaiian shirt. Shun scratches her head.

"Agh, r-right." She mumbles, rising to her feet. The two of you stare at each other for a minute. "Wait, are you a girl right now, Makoto?"

"Uh, yes." You reply, looking for any signs of obscene affection. At that, Shun smiles and quickly pulls you into a hug.

"Aww-right! Sexy, cute Makoto on the beach! I love it, I love it! I'm gonna kiss you, and there's NOTHING you can do about it! Ahee-hee!" She giggles, hugging you and picking you up so that your chest is resting on her face. You could be less transparent, Shun.

You place a hand on Mai's shoulder, as a sign of friendship. "I'm sure it was an accident. I met Cocoa too, and she seemed very nice. She only wanted to help- maybe this just went a bit wrong." You suggest to her. Mai smiles back, caressing her own shoulders.

"Y... Yeah, that could be it. I hope that's it." She sighs, looking down. You hope that too, Mai. For your own sake, and for hers.

You sigh and let Shun kiss you to her heart's content. You reply in turn by letting your shirt fly up a bit. Shun almost drops you when she notices, but instead just clings tighter and spins. She swings you around a bit before finally plonking you down and smiling like a puppy with a red beet for a face.

"Heh... hehee~" She giggles to herself, holding her hands to her cheeks and wiggling back and forth.

"Mmn, even if you are infected, you're still pretty nice." You sigh, smiling at her.

"Infected?" She asks. Mai whispers to her the information, and she blinks. "...No, that's just how people normally act around Makoto. You should hear what some of the track team say about him behind his back."

"W-What?" You say, sweating a bit.

"Yeah, they're big fans of your legs." Shun admits.

"M-my..." You glance down at your legs. They're... nothing special?

"'If Makoto were a girl, the only thing those legs would be doing around me would be kicking in the air', I heard." She explains. You spit out air and go a bit red as Mai snickers.

"Hehe, nice." She giggles.

"B-Both of you stop." You say, looking straight down. You didn't realize rumors at school had gotten to THAT point. You take a deep breath and steel yourself. You don't know if Shun is infected, but so long as she can hold it together, she's fine. Cocoa might be able to cure her if she is anyway.

"Alright, the both of you are coming with me to go see Cocoa." You inform them. "I don't anticipate a fight, but if one breaks out, I'll need the backup."

"I don't really wanna fight Cocoa..." Shun mutters, rubbing her hands together hesitantly.

"None of us really do," you tell Shun, "but it might be unavoidable."

"I certainly hope not." Mai sighs. The three of you look down the beach, towards the south side of the island.

"Let's go pay this coconut a visit." You say intensely, and start walking triumphantly. Mai places a hand over her face.

"That's not what cocoa is, Makoto..." Mai mumbles.

"I'm pretty sure it is." Shun says, nodding and following behind you proudly. Mai watches the both of you walk off like idiots, cursing the fact that she can't call you that anymore.

Cocoa was further than you thought she would be, and both you and Mai end up puffed by the time you get there. Shun is perfect fine though, obviously. The 'house' itself, if you can call it that, is really just a single large hut on the beach. it looks like it really couldn't be more than two or three rooms, and doesn't even have anything more than foot trails leading off from it. You take a breath and walk up to the door, bracing yourself. The door opens up as you knock, and some guy with dreadlocks answers.

"...Hello." You say. The two of you stare at each other. "...Mai, is this the right house?" You ask her. She nods back. The guy continues to stare, his eyes drifting down to your thighs until Shun audibly cracks her knuckles, projecting a fierce aura just behind you. He backs off and you glance inside. There's a lot of drunk people in there, passed out. Cocoa herself is lying on a bed on the far side of the room, snoring.

"Haa~, Cocoa." Mai sighs as you approach her. She blinks and looks up.

"Mnuh?" She gurgles at you.

"Cocoa... you made a mistake." You tell her firmly and bluntly. She drunkenly smiles.

"Mmn, gonna hafta be more specific. I make a lotta mistakes, baby." She giggles, before coughing up some kind of tiny umbrella. "L-Like that, hoo~" Then she picks it up and places it in a half-empty glass of tequila.

"Uhn... C-Cocoa, that spell you put on me. I need you to remove it." You tell her again.

"Nngh, come back later. Like... like a week or somethun'" She groans, rolling over on her side to ignore you better.

"Not in a week, now!" You shout at her. She just lies there and ignores you. "Ugh, Mai, help out."

"Makoto, when she gets like this, doubt even I can deal with her." Mai sighs, but nevertheless stands up to speak, "Cocoa, I know you're resting-"

"You damn right I am." She says, raising a bottle to the sound of the entire room groaning.

"-b-but we really need you to do something. It was your fault it happened, so you need to remove whatever it was you placed on Makoto." Mai asks of her. Cocoa groans and pauses for a minute, then rolls back and sits up, glaring at you. She raises her hand and makes some finger signs.

"MMrbrl-beygone. There, s'fine, go away." She grunts, rolling back over. You three blink.

"D-Did that work?" Shun asks.

"Can't be sure. Mai, insult me."

"You're a perfect princess, Makoto." Mai says, then growls. Hrm, didn't work. You glare back at her.

"Cocoa, get up!" You shout, grabbing her by the arm. "I don't care how hung-over you are, you're FIXING this!" You shout at her, she shakes back and releases the bottle, which smashes on the ground. She sighs, and glances over at you.

"You really shouldn't a did that." She mutters, and raises a hand at you. The last thing you remember is flying through the wall of the shack and skidding across the beach before you blacked out.
