You’ve heard stories about the Killik. You’ve read about them in class back at the Academy. They were supposed to be long extinct considering they abandoned their mounds back on Alderaan. The fact that you’re standing beneath a group of them right now is a daunting prospect. It’s as if they just leapt from the holopages of history just to mess with you. You, Kuvasz, and Vikker stepped closer together, nearly back to back as the great big bugs advanced on you.

One of them pokes you with his stick, jabbing you with the blunt end of it. “Hey!” you yell back. It flinches back, surprised by your sudden response. It proceeds to poke you again, harder this time. “Ow! Stop that!” You slap down his stick. The other Killik proceed to surround you, ignoring Kuvasz and Vikker. You’ve made a huge mistake. They proceed to poke you, apparently in curiosity. But all its doing is making you angry! “Stop that!” You slap away their spears and sticks. They click their jaws and mandibles to each other, buzzing in some weird language that for some reason sounds they’re constantly saying “uuuu”.

“What are they doing?” asks Vikker.

“They must be wondering why Rhys’s skin is so soft; if they’re giant insects they might not have too much concept for people with bones on the inside like us,” Kuvasz explains.

“Yeah, yeah! Great!” You push away one of them. It hisses at you. “Ah!” you scream at it, and it immediately retreats in fright by your sudden noise. “Real great scientific explanation, Kuvasz, you should’ve been a scientist instead of a mercenary!”

“Well, I mean, I was for like a year,” he says.

“I’m being sarcastic!” you yell back. You wave your arm in front of your nose, groaning at the incredible smell you’ve discovered from these giant bugs. “Look, we’ve got to-“

You hear a massive stomp behind you. You turn around to see Sparks has dismounted into his walker mode. Out of his underbelly, his new twin laser cannons pop out and aim right at the Killik. Sparks screeches loudly, sending the Killik retreating back into the wilderness. Oh, thank goodness for that. You shake your head, sighing.

“This changes things,” says Kuvasz as he walks up to you. “Treasure is one thing. But it appears the Killik have made a home around the RAS Bailoff, our treasure.”

“I’m not going to give up on it,” you say. “That treasure is ours for the taking.” You quickly dust yourself off, then suddenly hunch over. “Bu- but first.” You quickly run over to the water, kicking up clouds of sand beneath your feet. Ugh, oh for… You quickly vomit into the water, spilling some bile and what was your lunch into the ocean. Oh, they stank, what a smell that was. Kuvasz and Vikker quickly run after you, then join you in vomiting up their lunches. “Wh- you too!?”

“I haven’t smelled anything like that since those Rakghouls on Taris!” yells Vikker. “Mother of mercy!” You shake your head. You’re not sure you ever wanted to see an Aqualish vomit but there it was.

Kuvasz catches his breath faster than you two. “Alright, Rhys. What’s the plan?”

This is the ship we found and it is a few sizes bigger then our freighter not to mention heavier so i doubt it.

Not to mention, the fact even if we could we still need to send someone to hook the ships up which will require boots on the ground.

>>43986038
We're in a forest. We know how to make fire.
>>

Not to mention how well the ventilation system will still work in which i will either clear out the smoke or might not get through all the corridors and rooms in which we need to explore.
>>
>>43986099
Then we will cry in a corner because the universe hates us.
How is willingly allowing ourselves or our assets into their striking distance a better idea?
>>
>>43986123
Because the droid don't get hijacked since they can't smell.

We shot at them first and nothing happen and were more curious about us then anything. At that point they could have killed us but didn't. Frankly taking a chance to solve this peacefully then out right doing a pisspoor orbital strike when we have limited ordinance and man power to sustain such a thing when we have to explore a Assault ship is a bad idea.
>>
>>43986207
And if/when they like the ship they live in?
How do you communicate to these things?
What do you offer them in exchange for free passage?
Will we have to save the bots or leave them to die when these bugs decide they're interesting enough to take into their hive?
>>
> “Well, they didn’t attack us. Maybe we can talk things out.”

“As much as they stink, I think we can hash things out peacefully. They had a chance to kill us, they didn’t take it. Obviously they are not as primitive as they may look, they might respond to negotiation.”

Kuvasz nods. “A well-thought plan. Are we going to get gas masks for that?”

You nod, then turn on your comm-link. “Misri, get down here.”

-

-

You strap on a breathing mask. Kuvasz, Vikker, and Misri wear theirs as well, ready to take on the Killik’s horrific scent. “Alright, here’s the plan. I do the talking. Lev.” He turns his head to you, folding his hands behind his back. “Record what you can. R5 and Sparks will look after the ships.”

R5 calls you over the comm-link. “Yes, continue to leave me out of your dangerous adventures with giant insects that could rip you asunder. Good thing I am programmed to pilot the ship in an emergency.” You roll your eyes.

Misri coughs. “R5 won’t actually leave us to die, will he?”

“You, definitely not. Me, probably,” you say. “Now let’s go. We’re burning daylight.” You grab your weapons, march into the woods. Vikker is carrying the Galactic universal standard for peaceful negotiation: a white flag on a stick. Hopefully, those Killik recognize it, or at least don’t feel like killing you long enough to try and figure out how they communicate. If they can even communicate.

Misri slowly grabs your arm, checking around. “This… feels off.” You look down. “This place feels wrong somehow.”

“I feel it too, just keep steady,” you say. “We won’t be here long.” You hope not. The longer you spend on this odd planet, the more you feel colder and… somewhat dead inside. You’re not sure what’s causing it, but honestly if Misri wants you to bug out, you are going to bug out. You won’t even come back for the scrap. This planet can’t be cursed, curses aren’t real after all. There’s something much deeper going on here, and you don’t like it one bit.

[1/3]
>>
>>43986268
[2/3]

After a short march through the woods, you arrive back at the Killik mounds once more, surrounding the Accalamator RAS Bailoff. You sling your disruptor onto your back, then grab the white flag from Vikker and wave it around.

Kuvasz leans over to Vikker. “I’m not entirely sure they’ll recognize the white flag the way we want them to.”

“Don’t jinx it,” Vikker quickly says.

At least the smell is duller. You see a few dozen heads pop out of the mounds, looking directly down on you. “Hey!” you shout. “Uh… truce!” They click and clack their teeth to each other, their antennae flaring and curling up. Very visual sort of language. You look over at Lev. “What do you think?”

“The Empire holds few records of Killik interactions. Only the ISS Admonitor has reported sightings. I have very little basis with which to decipher their language,” Lev explains. Alright, fair enough. You sigh in frustration, looking up at them all. They look back down at you once again.

One of the Killik, a large one that towers over the rest and wearing what appears to be salvaged Clone trooper armor over his own exoskeleton, skitters down his mound and towards you. With his spear, he draws something in the dirt in front of your feet. The four of you kneel down to see what it says.

FRIEND?

You look up at him, and he stares down at you, expectant. “Um. I guess?” You nod, then stand up and look up at him. Its jaws snap against each other, apparently trying to communicate with you. “Look, we don’t understand what you’re saying, maybe we can stick to the whole drawing stuff?” His antennae curl downwards, then he looks down at the dirt and points to it. “Yes, yes, draw uh…” You quickly shovel your feet against the ground, drawing something new with your dirt.

RHYS

“My name’s Rhys,” you say. “Rhys.”

The Killik nods, then draws something new in the dirt.

WHY REES HERE
>>
>>43986259
We don't take the ship,

Lev can probably function as a protical droid, or we can probably upload the language to him.

Either scrap, or by negotiations that is a aspect that their is no avoiding when it comes to talks but better then pissing them off.

They weren't interested in the R4 and possibly the other droid in that ship, what will make them interested in a tactical droid or a R5 model.
>>
>>43986285
[3/3]

“Well, there’s something in that ship that I want,” you explain. “And you’re uh… kind of in my way. So if you could just get out of my way? That’d be great.”

The Killik draws something new.

NO. SKY DAGGER SACRED.

“Sacred?” asks Misri. “How?”

The Killik again draws something new, apparently a bit more frantically this time.

SKY DAGGER GIFT FROM SKY. SKY GIFT KILLIK MANY THINGS. SOMETIME EVEN PEOPLE LIKE YOU. NEVER SURVIVE PAST WEEK

“Ah, okay.” You look over at Misri. “Yeah, these guys are a cargo cult then.” She tilts her head, confused. “Cargo cults. Back at Flight School, they warned us that Outer Rim and Unknown Region planets had all kinds of sentient species out here that would be a bit… behind the times, these Killik must not have contact with anything outside of this planet so they think that everything that falls out of the sky is some kind of gift from God.”

The Killik curls its antennae, clicking its teeth desperately. It quickly draws something new.

SKY DAGGER HOME, SKY DAGGER GLITTERS INSIDE

“Glitter,” says Vikker. “That means the aurodium must still be inside!”

“Can you take us inside?” you ask.

The Killik quickly writes something new.

NO

“Well. He’s honest,” says Kuvasz. You sigh deeply, groaning in frustration. This is the last thing you need right now.

“Okay, look. We can sort of understand each other, you know.” The Killik stares at you. “We’re people from the Sky. We have ships from the Sky too. We are… divine?”

He quickly swipes a line under NO.

Well, that was worth a shot. “Okay, let’s start over. Look. The aurodium inside, the glittering stuff, that is incredibly valuable to us. It obviously has no use to any of you. But to us, it’s the world, so we don’t need the ship. We just need the aurodium.”

Again, another line is swiped under NO.

You narrow your eyes. “Listen to me. Maybe we can propose a trade. We can take you into the sky, show you the world beyond, in exchange for the aurodium inside. What do you say?” His antennae straightens out, then his teeth click in apparent pensiveness. Other Killik step down from their mounds and stand alongside him. The three of them start talking to each other in their language. Maybe you’ve finally made some progress. One of them stomps their spear into the ground, apparently furious. But then they look back at you, and then resume arguing amongst themselves.

“What do you think they’re arguing about?” asks Misri.

Vikker shrugs. “I’ve had more heated arguments about what time of day it is.” Misri looks at him, tilting her head. “Just saying.”

The Killik finally manage to agree on something though. They write something new in the dirt.

THE GLITTER IS SACRED. WE WILL NOT TRADE. SKY NO PLACE FOR UNWORTHY BEINGS LIKE US.

You sigh, groaning. “A-… are you sure?” They cross a line underneath the statement. “Okay.” Viker kicks the dirt a bit, frustrated. “Alright. We’ll leave, but I think you all are making a big mistake. We can sort something new out later maybe.” You grab Misri’s shoulder, and turn her around to leave. “Come on, guys.” The Killik watch you leave, watchful.

All of you stand around in the cargo bay, which has been reloaded with your ships and spare scrap that Misri picked up out of the debris orbiting the planet. “Okay,” you say. “Here’s the idea. We take off. And we bomb the site from high altitude.” Misri looks up, sitting on your R-22. “They’re just a bunch of bugs anyway, nobody’s going to miss them.”

Vikker raises his hand. “Aye.”

“Now hold on,” says Misri. She stops off the ship, and walks up to you. “Hold on just a second. We’re going to bomb some innocent tribals just to get at their valuables?” You nod. “Th- that can’t be right! That’s not fair to them! They’ve settled on that land for who knows how long! And we’re just going to dust them off and steal their stuff?”

“We’re only stealing the aurodium,” you say. “They aren’t going to let us have it, Misri.”

“I know but…” She stomps her foot, glaring at you. “Damn it, Rhys! Come on! There’s got to be a better way than just bombing them with our laser cannons and our concussion missiles! And even if I agreed to it, all of this stuff!” She motions around the cargo bay. “This isn’t enough to kill them all.”

“I’m not looking to-“

Kuvasz raises his hand. “If I may speak. I have to agree with Misri.” You what. “These Killik have done nothing to antagonize us. They have been straight, and honest in their conviction to defend that ship. And bombing their homeland will do nothing except anger them, perhaps possibly turn them against the galactic community permanently if we were to do this kind of damage to their homeland.”

Vikker stands up off of his crate, walking up to Kuvasz. “We’re being lectured on who not to shoot by a Mandalorian?”

“Yes.” Kuvasz grabs Vikker’s chest, holding him in place. “Do you have a problem?”

“Guys, guys!” You quickly separate Kuvasz and Vikker. Ugh, in fighting is the last thing you need right now. “Look. I’ll make my decision later. Let’s just take a rest, and understand that on my ship, this is no democracy. What I say goes.” Everyone looks at you, expectant. “Just give me an hour or two and I’ll get back to you.” You step towards the machine shop and on to the cockpit.

You sigh. You thought this treasure would make you. Now it’s just about to tear you to pieces the way things are going. What right do those bugs have in claiming the ship and everything in it theirs anyway? They’re just bugs. If you had a Star Destroyer, you’d have bombed this entire island from orbit already. But you don’t. This freighter can do many things in your hands, but bombing a tribe of Killik? That’s a question that you really need answered.

You open the door to the cockpit, then find Lev. He quickly shuts off of his holopad and turns to you. “Sir.”

You squint at him. “Lev.” You step inside. “Were you calling someone?”

“I was activating a transponder signal, in case we were leaving and perhaps needed to come back here again,” he says. Alright, alright. You sit in the pilot’s seat, sighing. “Are you in need of advice, sir?”

“I’ve never been given advice by a droid, so no,” you mutter. He nods.

Lev nods. “Very well. What shall we do then, sir?”

“Let me ask you a question, Lev.” He zooms his optics on you, interested. “That holopad, what exactly do you even have on it?”

He slowly places it behind his back. “Data on your letter of marque, bounties, tactical information, nothing important to you.” Oh? You stand up, walking up to him and facing him eye to eye. “Why do you ask?”

“Because this is the second time I’ve caught you on it, and you just quickly shove it away as if trying to hide something from me,” you say. “You’re not trying to hide anything from me are you?”

Lev swivels his head left, then tilts it, looking at you. “You may be experiencing paranoia as a result of your crew’s insubordination, sir. Might I suggest you rest, and perhaps you can take time to think over your decision on bombing the Killik, sir.”

You hold out your hand. “Give me the holopad, Lev.” He stares at you, obviously not having it. “The holopad, Lev.” The door opens, and in rolls in R5. “R5.” R5 quickly rams right into Lev, knocking the holopad out of his hands and sending him sprawling across a seat. You pick it up and quickly begin reading it.

“Sir, with all due respect, if you read that you may not like what you see.” R5 quickly rams into Lev again before he can recover. “Ow. Damn you, you astromech.”

You quickly flip through his notes, hoping that he hasn’t password encrypted the important stuff. Maybe if you’re lucky, you might have caught him before he was able to log off. You blink. Wait, what was that? Communications. You narrow your eyes as you flip through the communications log. Then you see it, dozens of messages to Lotte, mostly in response to your kill count, your bounties, that sort of stuff.

But at the bottom.

Commander Ulgo. Cykgil has found something of use to the Empire, a massive stash of aurodium in the Unknown Regions. I am sending you the coordinates. Additional reinforcements will be required for this operation.

“Lev.” You turn to him. Your blood boils. This is terrible. This is worse than terrible. This is treasonous. This droid… “You told Lotte… you told the Empire what’s here!?”

He shoves R5 away, then stands up and walks up to you. You step back, your back against the wall. He stares straight at you, the lights in his eyes nearly blinding you. He says, “Yes. As is expected of me.”

“How long?” you ask.

“They will arrive within three days. ISS Admonitor accompanied by flotilla of five Victory IIs and several Gozanti freighters. And many more to come soon to secure the planet. Commander Lotte is personally coming to secure the cargo.”

A Finder's Fee. A single crate of aurodium out of an entire cargo hold full.

Because we would need those forces to get at it anyway, unless someone can come up with a way to get into the ship and get the cargo despite the natives.
>>
>>43987969
>Beat Lev down.
>Other
Right. Now it isn't a question of IF they die but when. We need to get as must of that stuff on board as possible and get the hell out of dodge before the Empire makes us give the stuff back.

How will beating Lev down do anything besides hurt our hands.

And I'm kind of mad at the situation since Lev screwed us but considering our options what choice do we have right now?
>>
>>43988168
well giving him to Misri to "reconfigure" should be good enough of a punishment.
>>
Honestly how hard will it be for the empire to take out this hive?
>>
>>43988225
somewhere between nil and zero. they could easily just poison the environment or just lift the whole ship to space.
>>
So does anyone still want to work with the empire?
>>
>>43988267
So essentially we're fucked out of our fortune then unless we listen to Lotte about doing some sort of suicide mission.
>>
We could try to use the fact that the Empire is coming for the aurodium to take it to "keep the kiliks safe" if we want to betray the empire.
>>
>>43988297
It's still better than working with the Rebels.

And honestly, when we brought Lev to the Acclamator and said "auridium" in his presence, this was a foregone conclusion.

He already had told us that he was sending information back to Lotte before.
>>
>>43988308
Unless we manage to get our hands on some of it before the fleet arrives.

How are you going to get rid of the bugs when they can just retreat into the ship that can shrug off our paltry weapons?

> “Get me a line with Lotte.”

“Get me a line with Lotte. Now.” He nods, taking back his holopad and connecting it to the communications console in the cockpit. You sit down in your chair, then wait. You chew on the insides of your cheek, balling your hands into fists. How could Lev do this? Forget that, how could Lotte do this? After all you’ve been through.

Finally, her image shows up on hologram. “Rhys!” She smiles, crossing her arms. “What can I do for my most favorite-“

“Lev told me everything,” you say. Her smile drops completely. “Why are you coming to take my treasure?”

She’s silent for a minute, then sighs and relaxes. “You know, I knew about this treasure the moment Lev came aboard your shuttle and listened in on your conversations with Vikker and friends. I was really hoping you could’ve at least have been honest with me.”

“You’re not answering my question.”

She nods. “Fine. Rhys, with that much aurodium, the Empire can build so many more Star Destroyers, recruit so many more soldiers and pilots, and really inject new life and security into the Outer Rim. You know those things called Tarkintowns? Those squalid little villages where people have to live in absolute filth because we can’t afford to house them all? Think about what a sudden influx of cash would do to our ability to house those people! And really-“

You cut her off. “I don’t care.” She quietly looks at you, awaiting your response. “Lotte. At least consider a finder’s fee or something. I have risked life and limb for this treasure. I have nearly died for it. You cannot just take it from me without another word.”

She scratches her chin, mulling over it. “Rhys. The Letter of Marque is clear that we have free reign to possess anything of yours in times of need. You’re not a soldier, you’re a Privateer.” You turn, sighing. “But. I suppose, old times are old times. Maybe I can help you some way. I-… I don’t know how but… look, I know this is a bad situation and I don’t have all the answers. Just don’t take this personally, okay?”

“It really feels personal, Lotte.”

She sighs. “I-… I don’t have… what do you want, money? Er uh… guns? Drugs? I’ll try, I’ll really try. Just let me have this one thing.”

We've got a samefag who wants to work for the empire so bad it hurts. "IT's so juvenile give up a fortune for a pat on the back! After all we'll get more grunt work!"

Yeah. Find a deposit of oil or the next big thing? Better give it to the government! After all those "lucrative" contracts are so great! We got enough to patch up an old star fighter!
>>
>>43988863
No, I understand perfectly. I also understand that it's a fucking crashed ship in an uncharted region and whether or not it has a supply log - which will have been outdated for at least a decade - means nothing, because in the time it takes for them to process everything in that wreckage we'll have already gone and they won't think twice about a few being missing when they have an entire hoard. They aren't even in the damn system yet.
>>
>>43988867
Say you have a job. You work there, and in the afternoons you freelance, you take commissions for some drawings you make. Suddenly one of your commisions hits the big bucks, you're talking about millionaire status out of the blue. Suddenly your boss comes over and he says "LOL ACTUALLY THAT MILLION IS GONNA HELP KIDS IN AFRICA, HAVE 50$".

Do you think is juvenile to say, well no, fuck you, I earned it, it has nothing to do with you, I'll do whatever I please with it?

> “No.”

You shake your head. “No, Lotte. This is my treasure. This is bigger than you think it is, and I’m not going to just let you walk over me for it.” You lean closer to her, furrowing your brow. “Lotte, I trusted you. You were my friend. Now all you’re offering to sell me guns and drugs for this? I thought we had something.”

She glares at you, but you can see just a tiny bit of heartbreak in her eyes. “We did. But the Empire comes first. Above all else.” She sighs, looking away. “Even friends and family.” She shakes her head, then continues glaring at you now. “Rhys, I’m sorry.”

You blink, and then sigh. “I’m not.” You shut the comm link off, then look over at Lev. Well, since he’s here, you might as well. You stand up and grab him by the neck. You drag him to the machine shop, kicking and writhing in your iron grip. Once you open the door, you see Misri fiddling with a part while leaning on her workbench. “Misri.” You toss Lev down to the ground. “Tear Lev apart, give him a memory wipe, shut him down for tonight.”

Misri walks up to you. “Hey, wha- what’s going-“ You step past her. “What about the explosives inside of him!?” You sigh, then come back and kick Lev. His back opens up, revealing a set of explosives inside of him. You then grab them and rip them right out of them and toss them away. Misri stands there in shock, Lev as well appears quite shocked that you ripped out his internally placed explosives before he could even activate them. “Er-… um. Di- did something happen?”

You open the door into the cargo bay, meeting with Vikker and Kuvasz. They’re busy pushing and shoving each other. “Come on, old man,” says Vikker. “What, never face a mean Aqualish before?”

Kuvasz shakes his head. “I’ve killed tookas more vicious than you.” They look over at you, and immediately notice that you’re not in the mood for their fighting. “Rhys. What’s wrong?”

“The Empire knows,” you say. You turn around to see Misri standing at the door, watching. “They’re coming for the treasure.” Kuvasz and Vikker groan. Vikker especially kicks at a crate, angered by the prospect of having his score robbed from him. “We’ve got three days, maybe less before they arrive.”

“What do we do then?” asks Vikker.

“We gotta steal as much as we can carry. We’ll use the cover of night. We’ll park the Lion’ Share on top of the Acclamator then blast a hole through. We cart as much out as we can with us.” You sigh, rubbing at your forehead. You can feel the veins pop out. You really need to calm down. “Look, if we have time. We can set that ship to blow too.”

Vikker tusks click. “What happened with Lotte?”

“Let’s not talk about that. Are you in, Vikker?” He nods. “Kuvasz? I know you disagree but I’m doing it anyway. If you want to keep disagreeing, I can throw you off this ship.”

He crosses his arms. “No. I won’t disagree this time.” You nod, great, great. You look back at Misri, who frightfully cowers behind the door.

“Misri. Get us some torches prepped,” you call. She nods, going back into the machine shop. “Listen. It’s going to be loud. And it is likely the Killik will try to stop us, by any means. But we secure that treasure, as much of it as we can, aboard my ship, aboard the H-Wing too. Got that?” They both nod. “Good, good.” You rub your hands together. “Cover of darkness then, boys. Let’s make it count.”

When night finally comes over the planet, the Barloz is lifted up. Sparks is let out as well to fly escort, and eventually provide ground cover on the good chance that the Killik wake up and try to reclaim the ship. You land the Barloz right on top of the Acclamator, unsettling years and years of vegetation and dust around on its roof. “Stay here, Misri,” you say. She nods, taking the pilot’s seat. Normally you’d have Lev do that, but with him out of commission for now, it’s up to you, Vikker, Kuvasz, and R5 to manually retrieve as much treasure as possible. You step down the boarding ramp and meet up with the group, who have an interesting solution for getting through the Acclamators upper levels which are mostly habitation decks. “So what’s the plan?”

[1/2]
>>
>>43989843

Vikker nods, motioning to the cluster of concussion missiles in front of you. “This.” Explosives? “We’re going to blow up a missile and pierce through the hull, then continue blowing them up until we get to the main hangar bay.”

“Isn’t there a better option?” you ask.

“Well, I could sit here for three days and cut our way through the hull graded to stop turbolaser fire,” says R5. You roll your eyes. Fine, it will have to do. Sparks sets up position next to the Barloz, scoping out the place. You take a whiff, Killik. Hopefully they’re not awake. “Are we ready?” You all nod.

Kuvasz rolls the first missile into position, then quickly arms it via holopad. “Get back!” You all run for it. In just a minute, it explodes, knocking a hole through the aging and rusted armor. “Alright, next one! Before the Killik come!” Vikker rolls the next missile down and drops it down. “Clear!” Another explosions. You both look down.

“Hey, that looked like it cleared two levels!” says Vikker proudly. “What did I tell ya! Is this an idea or is this an idea!?”

“Well, it was my idea,” says R5. Vikker sighs, rolling another missile down.

You look at the hole more precisely. You’re jacking some of the Barloz’s hover dollies to carry as much aurodium as possible. And it looks like this hole is big enough for one at a time. A few more missiles are rolled in, and finally you both see the intense sparkling of aurodium inside. “By the Force…” Kuvasz stares at it. “That’s a lot of aurodium.”

“Let’s get in there.” You roll one hover dollie in, then tie cables down onto it. “Kuvasz. You first.” He nods, mounting onto the dollie. The two of you lower him down into the depths of the Acclamator, carefully.

“This is a lot of cash we’re after, even if we can’t have the entire thing,” says Vikker. “What are you going to spend it on, Rhys?” he asks.

Eh, while this is a betrayal of sorts Rhys doesn't have the fondest memories of the old republic. That and he's killed alot of rebels; they may have hard feelings. If this ends (and it kind of looks that way) with Rhys breaking off entirely from the empire and being a privateer he would more likely go and do some work for more neutral factions, like the Furies or his hut buddy. Not to say we'd never hook up with the rebels, its just feels like Rhys would never run straight to them because of this, though it could be a catalyst for further down the road..
>>
>>43989995
>>43990022

> “Let’s not jinx it.”

You shake your head. “Let’s not jinx it, Vikker.”

Vikker hums a little. The two of you let the cable go slack once you feel that Kuvasz has hit the bottom. “So, Dantooine’s out of the question then?” You look at him, a little angry. “Just saying, you did tell me that was your prime retirement home.”

“Well, let’s not talk about retirement, okay?”

He nods. “I’m guessing things did not go well with Lotte.”

Vikker is really pushing your buttons tonight. But you can’t resent his curiosity. You and him have worked together for years after all. “Yeah, they didn’t. Could’ve gone better.” He nods, then pats your shoulder, like the father you really never wanted. You huff. “Feh. It’s in the past now.” You hear some skittering, like the legs of Killik! You look down the line on the Bailoff, then see a party of Killik climbing onto the roof. They’ve seen you. “Ah hell. Hold onto that rope, Vikker.” He nods, quickly lashing it around R5 as well for extra oomph. “Sparks!” Sparks screeches, turning his head to you.

The Killik shriek, charging at you, spears held high.

> Grab your disruptor, help Sparks and cover Vikker.

You unsling your disruptor off your back then charge it to full strength. Sparks jumps up over to you, blasting the Killik with his laser cannons. The shots shred their bodies, sending pieces flying over the hull. But heedless to this, the Killik continue charging at you. You pull up your disruptor and let loose. One shot shoots right through a Killik. It writhes, shaking in pain as the innards of its body start disintegrating. Slowly, it dies completely, the only parts left of it not burning being the exoskeleton.

You can see why this thing is illegal.

“More!” yells Vikker. He and R5 are busy pulling Kuvasz’s haul up. You turn around to see another party of Killik crawling up the stern. Sparks chitters, immediately marching and blasting them with his twin laser cannons. “Kuvasz, get ready!”

“I’m more than ready!” he yells.

More Killik arrive, up over the side. You blast one with your disruptor. It flies right off the edge to his death, but the rest are coming quick. And Sparks is too busy with the other group. “Vikker!” you yell. Vikker and R5 haul up Kuvasz. He sits on the dollie, pulling down the most gigantic gun you have ever seen, a four barrel cip-quad from the Clone Wars. Kuvasz blasts them apart, shattering their bodies and slicing them to pieces with heavy blaster fire. “Where the hell did you get a cip-quad!?”

“It was just lying there,” he says. “And as much as I disagree about killing these Killik and ransacking their home, I can understand that you might need some help.” He looks over to Vikker. “Your turn!” He nods, and the two switch spots. R5 quickly starts wheeling the dollie over to the ship, while Vikker goes down into the hold with the new dollie. Kuvasz grabs the rope tight, while sitting down and managing the cip-quad. “After this, we gotta leave! All the Killik are waking up!”

> “Fair enough, last one.”

“Alright, this is our last haul!” You yell down to Vikker. “This is going to be the last haul!”

“Thank goodness!” he yells back as he quickly shovels as many ingots onto the dolly as possible, while also pulling some into his jacket and into his bag as well. You turn back to the action and blast another Killik. Meanwhile, Kuvasz is tearing apart entire hordes with his cip-quad. Sparks fires a blast directly at a horde, scattering them. Even Misri is having a field day using the underbelly E-Web to keep them off the Lion’s Share.

But when you stand up and look down at the ground, you see hundreds of Killik pouring out of the mounds.

Yeah, you’re really glad you took Kuvasz’s advice.

“Okay, I’m ready!” yells Vikker. You sling your disruptor, then take the cable from Kuvasz and let him focus. You and R5 quickly get to pulling up the dolly. However much Vikker has, he clearly has gotten more than enough to fill the dollie. When you pull him up, it’s already overflowing with aurodium ingots. “Okay, let’s go, let’s go!” You grab Kuvasz by his shoulders and stand him up. Sparks hops over to the Lion’s Share and fires off huge bursts to cover you all. R5 and you are the first aboard. Kuvasz and Vikker hurry up the ramp as well, along with the precious cargo. That’s two full dollies of aurodium ingots. You’re not risking a third. You run over to the cockpit, then burst and pull Misri out of the chair.

“Hey! I can fly too!” she whines. Not now, please. You sit down and fire up the engines. Before the ramp can even close fully you’re taking off. Sparks jumps up and follows you, before the Killik can swarm over him. Your ship reports minor scuffs as the Killik throw spears and arrows at your ship, like rain against a rock. Already, you’re taking the ship into orbit.

And now, you can rest easy. You got your haul.

Finally, you got your haul.

“Alright.” All of you, including R5 and Sparks, minus Lev, stand in the cargo bay. Misri is busy staring at the aurodium, the sparkling wonder apparently entrancing her. “We need to figure out our cuts. Uh… Kuvasz-“

“Say no more.” He grabs an ingot off one dolly and shovels it into his jacket. “I’m good.” You blink. “What, I don’t have use for riches. I’m a pretty simple man with simple desires. Wealth does not interest me, Rhys.”

Vikker claps, smiling happily. “I love you, Kuvasz!” You have to admit, you gotta admire Kuvasz’s humility. “Well, I’ll just-“ You slap Vikker’s hand. “What? Come on!”

“Vikker, you and me were the first ones to start out with this. It’s fair that you get a pretty meaty cut.” He rubs his hands together, grinning as best as an Aqualish can grin.

> “33%”

“33%,” you say. He pumps his fist, nodding to you. “34% goes to me, 33% goes to Misri.”

Misri flinches, then looks over at you. “Wait, I get a cut?” You nod to her. Vikker pats her on the back, smiling to her. Kuvasz nods admirably. “B-… I-… I didn’t even- I don’t know even know what to do with this much money!”

“Well, it’s pure aurodium. Each ingot…” Vikker pulls one off of a dollie, presenting to Misri. “Is worth about one million credits. We have eighty ingots here. That means about… twenty seven million for me, for Rhys, and for you, Misri.”

Misri looks at you. “What am I going to do with twenty seven million credits?” The look on her face is pure shock, excitement, confusion, embarrassment, and all other range of emotions all at once.

“Well, maybe you can pay me off for buying the improvements to Sparks.” She tilts her head, sarcastically. “Look, it’s yours. You earned it.” She smiles happily, looking to the ingot Vikker gave her. “We earned this. We would’ve earned a lot more I think if the Empire wasn’t looking to screw us.”

“Right,” says Kuvasz. “However, the credits aren’t valid just yet. We need to get this stuff melted down, and then shifted back into circulation, blah blah blah, basically it’s not valid until we see this perfectly converted into credits.” You nod. That’s correct. And probably the one thing you hate about treasure finding for aurodium, the credits aren’t instant with it. “You have a friend who can do that for us, Rhys?”

“I do, his name’s Rotta. He’s down on Coruscant. We’ll swing by and visit him.” You might even give him an ingot, just to make sure you don’t ever end up in his debt again. As nice of a hutt he is, you know not to end up in the debt of one. That’s just how the galaxy works after all. “Right now though, we’ll take a rest and I’ll chart a course.”

Someone in the last thread recommended a Raider Class Corvette. We could get one of those, convert the cargo bays (because every ship military ship has a cargo bay) to hangars for fighters, crew the rest of it with our currently trusted crew and a bunch of R-series droids.

Just from this sentence I can tell you have no idea how space travel works in star wars around major planets like Coruscant. There's a reason I want to change our ship's regestration and ID along with grabbing a few fake ones. If we go with our current ones we are going to get caught right away.
>>
The marauder is easily the best choice as long as we can use droids to crew the thing.
>>
>>43991857
As much as I hate to admit it. (and I kind of do since I like the CR90)

>>
>>43991926
I'm fine with our ship right now to be honest, dunno why so many people want to trade her in.
>>
>>43991919

How about a compromise: we don't use the whole droids to run the ship, we just take out their brains and automate a lot of the ship's functions with the astromech droid brains, with our little band still fulfilling a couple things from aboard the bridge.

It's like Star Trek, except instead of a nameless crew in the hundreds and all the stars in the bridge crewing the ship it's only the bridge crew and a cluster of droid brains.
>>
>>43991943
Because it's woefully inadequate in pretty much every way?
>>
>>43991897
Not him, but basically Coruscant has a population the size of New York dedicated to flight control, and they cross reference every ship with known criminals, dissidents, and Starcreds Coffe Baristas who misspelled the Moff's name when he was a low level bureaucrat. If you have a connection to them already set up, you can MAYBE get around it if they're feeling generous to honor the bribe.

We probably won't have that level of connection.
>>
>>43991894
That Anon is also an idiot. All it takes is one virus and then we lose the droids needed to crew it.

>>43991897
Basically when you arrive around major planets like corucsant they ask for stuff like your regestration and id and then they check through their records if you or your ship is related to any known crimes. After that they give you a flight path down to the planet.

>>43991919
>>43991926
Then we don't get a ship larger then ours.

With Tatooine as your next destination, you’re already making a list of things to do when you arrive. One, get a fake registry and new ID for your ship. You’re keeping the name, just because. But everything is going to need to be changed. You don’t know if Lotte will do anything to soften the damage against you, especially if they find out you stole about eighty ingots worth of money from them. Either way, it’s the safe option. But other than that, you will have to pay a visit to Jabba.

Ugh. That means probably seeing Oktovard again. Selkath scum.

You shake your head, writing it all down in your holopad. Kuvasz and Vikker have already retired for the night. With R5 watching over the cockpit, you remain in your quarters. After all, you never did find sleep easy since Flight School. You sigh, rubbing at your eyes. Your eyelid are feeling heavy but that’s the most you’ll ever get.

Your door opens. “Rhys?” You look back to see Misri, twiddling her fingers a bit. She’s wearing only a dirty tank top and black sleep shorts. You purse your lips a little, looking up those fine curvy legs up to her hips. “Hey. Um, thanks for the really big cut by the way.” You nod. “Um… so Vikker told me about what happened, with you and Lotte.”

“I didn’t even tell him what happened but that damn Aqualish can read me like a book,” you mutter. “Yeah, it’s happened. Let’s deal with it.”

“Okay, well um…” She steps inside. “Look, Rhys. Just standing next to you, I can just feel your negative waves just come at me. And yet, you don’t really feel angry.” She frowns a little. “Are you sad?”

You sigh. “Very.” You motion to the bed, and she takes a seat. “Misri. Back at Flight School. They trained us to be like pack hunters. Everyone in our little group was our family away from family. For Lotte, her family disowned her when she attended the Academy, Alderaan is not exactly a planet that supports the Empire after all, and the Ulgo family is a very traditionalist kind of people but…” You wave it off. “Whatever. The point I’m making is that… back at Flight School, we were family. All of us.” You slouch, leaning back in your seat. “I don’t know what would compel Lotte to just… abandon her family like this.”

Misri nods, looking around your room a bit awkwardly. “Yeah, I see. Well…” She sighs quietly, then says, “My door’s always open if you’re willing to talk.”

She tilts her head. “No flirty back and forth tonight?”

At the end of the day there is a bit of a scale problem now that we've come into pretty fucking good money. We can get so fucking much that it's not even funny, and that's turned this from "scraping together a living from the dregs of society" into "XCOM endgame where you can buy anything and everything and have the best shit."

This big of a scale-up has effectively turned us into a goddamn Space Pirate King Harlock when a lot of people still want to scrape up a living like Cowbow fucking Bebop.
>>
>>43992181
Me, I'd absolutely flirt with a cute girl in a tank top and shorts (assuming that I ever figured out how to talk to girls that weren't childhood friends). But our character has just had a hard day of getting stabbed in the back by an old friend, who proceeded to try and bribe herself back into our good graces with what amounts to a rock of coke. She didn't even try to give us a full cut.

Only slightly unrelated, we should do a full check of the ship for tracking devices. I bet Lev planted at least one.
>>
>>43992286
Well this was the big stash, if you wanted to do that we would have left, or did the bounties first.
>>
>>43992116
>> “Not tonight.”
>> “Well, just showing up in those shorts and that tank top is enough flirting for tonight.”
>>
>>43992232
Dude stats aren't everything. Honestly what on earth would we need a capitol ship for.
>>43992224
That sounds boring.
>>43992199
So? We don't need an marauder.

>>43992265
The trade federation didn't use slaved units after naboo due to that very problem.

>>43992286
We can just upgrade the hell out of our ship and keep doing small time stuff for the adventure.
>>43992310
Just because we got a lot of money doesn't mean we have to stop doing small time stuff.

>>
>>43992339
We don't need a better ship? Then why bother upgrading this one?
>>
>>43992375
Let me rephrase that better. We don't need a ship that fucking big. We don't need a capitol ship. We can just take our ship and upgrade it like Han does the falcon in the legacy eu of star wars.
>>
>>43992339
so we get a slicer of our own to handle cyberwarfare?
>>
>>43992339
Dealing with people coming after us, Survivability ?, Better armament?

I could go on.

Also why would you think we would get hit by a virus by something that was corrrected after the battle of Naboo.

>We can just upgrade the hell out of our ship and keep doing small time stuff for the adventure

What?

>Just because we got a lot of money doesn't mean we have to stop doing small time stuff.

Again, what?
>>
>>43992403
so it's just a preference thing for you?
>>
>>43992416
Wow. You really are a fucking moron. Want to know how the whole being hit by a virus thing/one big weak point to take out all the droids was fixed? By not having them all connected/slaved together. And again we don't need a fucking capitol ship to survive the empire. It's a fucking money sink.

Honestly I'm starting to wish we never learned about this treasure. It's apparently causing people to lose their ability to think considering that they believe we need a huge ass capitol ship for a group of four people.
>>
>>43992403
That's because Han Solo was a bit of a bum, and won the Falcon on a poker match.

We have more resources available to us.

While the Marader mught not be the a Capital ship i want, I do think a capital ship is a good investment. Especially if they have their own hanger.

You know, something to consider might be that there's no way we're getting away from this clean.

We're gonna lose this fortune because some bullshit drama's gonna happen, and we're gonna be back to scraping from the bottom of the barrel, except it's gonna be a helluva lot harder finding friends now that we've cut ties with the Empire and the Rebels still hate us for killing their dudes and on top of all that this struggle is gonna be rendered moot.
>>
>>43992501
possibly but I hope not.
>>
>>43992501

Makes sense to have the money kept liquid.

Also, we really should leak the location of the stash to the rebels just because.
>>
>>43992476
again, what makes you think we're connecting them all together in one big core?
>>
>>43992535
We should. Imperial salvage operations should take a while. Especially if they want ALL and not just bombard the place to bits. That means sending in stormies. Enough time for a squadron of snubfighters to bomb the wreck completely.
>>
>>43992501
With all this arguing, I think German just might in order to stop the arguments.
>>
>>43992461
No it's a common sense thing. We have a four man crew. A four man crew does not need a capitol ship. basically what you all are suggesting is the same logic that those people that win the lottery have when they decide to by a big ass mansion they don't need when they have a small family.

>>43992494
First off Han wasn't a bum after the new republic was formed. He still had the falcon then and still kept upgrading it. Second It's not a good investment. For one it's going to make us stick out like a sore thumb. When you do something like this you don't go and buy a big ass ship.

>>43992536
What do you think slave circuiting them together is?
>>
>>43992521
I hope so. Getting a treasure is only half of getting money in our pocket, and we burnt out bridges before we can get this loot turned into cash.
>>
>>43992561
I hope he does. People are going full retard and thinking that buying a big ass obvious capitol ship from the clone wars won't make us stand out at all.
>>
>>43992565
Because he didn't take a freaking admiral position or gotten a big payday in credits. Not to mention no one was after him.

Because we're not using Pre Naboo-B1 Battle droids.
>>
>>43992589
Why not apply the same reasoning on how the Rebels and Mando kept at it?
>>
>“Well, I can put you to sleep with more stories from Flight School. How about that?”

“Well I can put you to sleep with more stories from Flight School. How about that?”

She continues to stare at you. “Wow. Did what happen with Lotte really mess you up that bad?” You shrug. “Goodness. Well, I’m not desperate enough to sleep through your stories, I will tell you that.” You frown a little. Are you really that boring of a storyteller? You shake your head. Whatever. “But hey, I’m here to listen though for anything other than your stories. I know how painful losing a friend can be. And down in Coruscant, you didn’t get to have a lot of friends.”

You nod. “Fair enough.”

She stands up, then hugs you, placing her head on top of your head. You gently grab her arm, mulling over it. “Look, don’t let it eat at you. Me, Vikker, Kuvasz, R5, Sparks. We’re going to be here for you. And we’ll never betray you. I promise you that much.” You look up at her, furrowing your brow. “Just something to keep in mind.” She lets go, swaying her hips a bit. “Plus, you get to look at these guilt free…” She points to her hips, smirking. Her smirk drops when you don’t respond. “I can see you’re still a bit sad.”

“A little,” you say.

She nods. “Alright well. I’ll let you get to whatever you’re doing. Don’t stay up too late though, I might need your advice on what to do with Lev in the morning.” You nod, waving her off. “Good night, Rhys.” She slowly shuts the door behind her.

I'm not in favour of buying the marauder because it's bigger. I'm in favour of buying it because it's better. The people that buy those mansions have swimming pools and tennis courts.
The Empire is already going to know we skimmed a lot of money from them. Who the hell else is going to go after us just because we bought a ship?
Making our ship hack resistant shouldn't be too hard as long as no one gets physical access to the drones themselves.
>>
>>43992673
[2/2]

You sigh, then look at your holopad. You flip out of the to-do list and turn to something you keep away from everybody else. From Misri, from Vikker, even R5 doesn’t even know this is on your holopad.

Pictures of your days in Flight School. You scan through them. The day you were sworn in. All of you, in your black uniforms, your hands held up as you swear your oath to Emperor and Empire. Lotte next to you, Pil behind you, Russ in front of you with that smug smirk on his face. Another picture, a more candid photo of you advising Pil over a holopad inside the cockpit of a TIE Fighter.

And one last picture. A picture of you, Lotte, Pil, and the rest of the class, celebrating your first combat victory over a band of pirates. No casualties that day. That day you were became an ace with seven kills. Lotte with her arm around you, Pil laughing his butt off, and you just trying to act cool.

You sigh. Better days. When you still had a family.

>We're gonna lose this fortune because some bullshit drama
It doesn't even have to be bullshit, just regular crime drama from the fact we're trying to fence a couple million credits.
That's enough for many people to consider backstabbing an old friend.

Rotta's our only fence, but he's a Hutt. What if someone in his organization is a plant for his uncle, an they decide to relieve us of our fortune?
Or any number of former friends and new enemies.
It doesn't have to be bullshit if we've already pissed off two major players in the galaxy and most of the ones left have no vested interest in keeping us alive, especially if they could take our money AND turn us in for a bounty to get paid twice.

Are you really that autistic? I flat out told you han wasn't a bum after the new republic was formed and that he still kept the fucking falcon for a reason. He could have easily brought a capitol ship if he wanted with the fucking money he had. Maybe you should stop fucking thinking bigger means better. Honestly it's tards like you that are going to kill this quest real fast due to us getting found by the empire because you couldn't use common fucking sense and logic as to why buy a capitol ship is a terrible idea.

As for not using pre naboo-b1 battle guess what? That doesn't matter. If your going to slave circuit something together it doesn't matter what you use. It will still have one big ass weakpoint that if you take it out then you disable the droids.

>>43992654
Because they have enough fucking people where having a capitol ship is a good idea. If we were the leader of a group of several hundred people guess fucking what? I would be all for buying a maurder.

>>43992678
Your to stuck on it has better stats therfore it most be better for us. It's not. Look at our situation. We have a group of four people. A group of four people don't need a capitol ship.

>>43992765
You don't need a capitol ship because A. they require large crews which you don't have and can't hire due to the circumstances of your reputation and B. simply crewing a ship with droids is incredibly expensive.

You would too if you had to explain several times why we don't need something that expensive to someone. It's like talking to a bratty child that's wants something that looks nice but is actually complete and utter junk.
>>
>>43992820
I won't rule out the CR90 or small ships of its size, but anything larger will require a drastic change in tone for the Quest. It'd go from adventure/action with bits of drama to well... ship and droid management. I'd prefer a tighter cast of characters and of course that means a small ship.

So we have four people, okay--and we can get anything up to a Blockade Runner but it changes the tone of the quest.

What if we just got a bigger fucking cargo hauler? The Wild Karrde from the Legends canon was a bulk transport modified with heavy armor plating and a concealable heavy turbolaser armament, topped off with a larger power source and capital-ship tier shields. There was also a high-powered sensor suite that could transmit and receive comms from across the galaxy.

The Karrde, at its most packed, had a crew of ten--the ship it came from could run on a crew of six. And with 90,00 metric tons of cargo capacity, it's a huge boost in fuckabaout room.
>>
>>43992981
So something causes to devalue/steal/ our profits then?

Or will you inflate prices?
>>
>>43992981
Schteel the CN90 is only 45 meters smaller then the marauder and are the same ship class
>>
>>43992981
Actually I don't have an issue with the money at all. I'm the dude that doesn't want to upgrade to a capitol ship when we only have four people.
>>43993033
Unlike the marauder you only need eight people min to run it.
>>43993004
How rare are those ships? And how's the speed?
>>43992981
>>
>>43992981
While I kind of understand you not wanting to let us keep most of this money what the hell did you really expect to happen?
>>
>>43993060

It's not rare at all--it's a freighter. We could easily blend in with the commercial shipping lanes if we kept all the goodies secret.

Speed leaves something to be desired, but with as much money as we have, could easily be modified.
>>
>>43993068
He expected people to actually be capable of thinking and not being impulse buyers That would go after something we don't need at all.

>>
>>43993090
The issue is that we apparently aren't going to be allowed to keep the money due to a bunch of people that can't think.
>>43993125
While it's a capitol ship it's also a corvette that only needs 8 people min in an unmodified version to run it. My issue with the maurader was taht we needed five hundred some people min to run it.
>>
>>43993124
>>43993068

We could probably fit it in, yeah--but we'd need to modify the craft to become a freighter-carrier, and at that point, I'd rather carry a fighter squadron as a nasty surprise to any pirates thinking we're an easy target.

>>43993104

It's also nicely affordable--the transports new cost around 4 million credits, used around 2. Modifications could probably cost a bit more, but it shouldn't be too much of a problem.
>>
>>43993031
>So something causes to devalue/steal/ our profits then?
First there's the question of how much Rotta will want of the cut; we're not going to get market value since we don't have the Empire (love them or hate them, they're still the legitimate government on most planets) backing us to make jewelers/whoever accept the loot at market value.

So, first we have to get false codes and papers for our ship, then we have to get to Coruscant, then we have to meet Rotta, work out a deal, wait for him to line up buyers, then wait for the deals to go through.

There's a lot of steps in turning metal into credits, and we can be absolutely fucked out of the money at any step, and it doesn't even have to be a bullshit reason but just plain greed.
>>
>>43993198
>that is easy as fuck to get
We could only get a single merchant to sell to us at Smuggler's Haven, and even then only because she was so distrusted by everybody else on the entire station.

I think you underestimate just how many bridges we burned today.
>>
>>43993168
Well the reason people voted for it was to avoid that yes.

So are you going to use some narritive plot to deal with the large influx of cash?
>>
>>43993284
I hope we keep SOME of it, all these people whining about it are making me a little mad.
>>
>>43993316

>>43993284
I'm going to go with this explanation for now because this explains better than I could.

While you do have the ingots now, until you get the credits pressed out, they're just incredibly valuable jewels.

>>43993319
Getting to keep the cash will be part of the challenge. I'm not COMPLETELY without mercy.
>>
>>43993284
and that's why you only convert small portions of your wealth into money at a time. We should go to several planets and convert at most a single ingot at any one location so that even if a few fall through no one will know just how much money we're handling.
>>
>>43993319
it is one asshole that does not want us to get things ever and wants the money to all get taken
>>
>>43993314
We can get them back. Hell we can get the rebels to ease up on us now that we aren't with the empire any more. Also the rebels we have killed were the ones that attacked us first. We didn't go rebel hunting.
>>
>>43993316

I'm predicting either the galactic market crashes or a flood of aurodium hits the market and devalues it so terribly it becomes as commonplace as plasteel.
>>
>>43993362
That's not going to happen if we are smart about it.
>>
>>43993284
even the stupidest methods of converting this stuff to money would at most take us back 40% even if we somehow lost 95 % of this stuff we would still have 1 million on our hands EACH
>>
>>43993362
That would assume I know anything about economic structure which I don't. Plus, sudden coincidences like that are kind of bullshit in my opinion anyway, I'd prefer if the money were lost because of people actually stealing it.

You lack imagination. That puppy has so much room we can convert the cargo hold to have life support systems and more racks for fighters and maybe even a holding area. Just because that particular vessel has that mod config doesn't mean we're married to that configuration.
>>
>>43993481
So was Lotte's hypocrisy of trying to appeal to our altruism and saving lives right after she had us sabotage Cygnar's attempt to get a replacement for the TIE Bomber that isn't a deathtrap, intentional or a misstep?
Did she really have no intention at first of compensating Rhys? Because that's what it looked like in the beginning.
>>
>>43993481
Wouldn't we have to be trained by them first?
>>
>>43993545
Lotte's situation is actually a little bit of everything. Like you, she understands that you are family just as much as Pil or somewhat Russ too. She might have genuinely not known how to compensate you for the loss of such a huge score while at the same time trying to think about getting the treasure for the Empire at the same time by any means. She may have been even hoping that you found it, then left, then she could have stolen it while you were away with you none the wiser.

>>43993559

The hypocrisy was just her flailing for a reason to have us give it up?
Then she fucked up badly, and if they ever talk again, Rhys should slap her in the face with it. Having him sabotage the Missile Boat just so Kuat could keep the contract on one hand, then saying that the money would go to helping refugees when she knows it obviously won't with the other? That's a monumental failure; what, did she roll a nat1 on her negotiation check?
>>
>>43993636
