Welcome to Saiyan Quest. This takes place in the years Frieza controlled Planet Vegeta, as the Saiyans grow in strength and try to find a way to free themselves.

Voting will operate on a first to five system, at least for the time being.

Dialogue is allowed to be added to votes, as are actions (though I'll ignore what I consider shitposting)

During battles, options will usually have a number assigned to them. After that vote has won, players will roll a d100, and have three chances to match or beat that number.

If a 100 is rolled, it is considered a crit success (unless 100 was the number you had to match).

If a 1 is rolled, it is a crit failure, regardless of whether or not the other two rolls are high enough to succeed.

If, during a battle, players want to attempt a writein action, that is allowed, but I am the one who will assign the number to it, so use caution

You're a young male Saiyan who fought in the war with the Tuffles. You are an average fighter for now, but have the potential of one of the greatest warrior races to roam the universe flowing through your veins. There is no limit to what you can accomplish through blood, sweat, and tears.

Your eyes begin to open, and your ears are assaulted by the sounds of combat coming from above.

You raise your eyes to look up into the sky and see Kogo locked in battle with Seripa and Azu. The two female Saiyans attack ferociously, but there's something odd about Seripa in particular.

She's surrounded by some sort of golden aura, and is moving at a speed you can hardly keep track of. Kogo still has the upper hand, but it looks as though Seripa is forcing her to approach the current battle with a small amount of effort.

You pick yourself up, quickly realizing that your energy is nearly depleted. Your various energy attacks against Kogo, combined with the beating you took has taken its toll.

Still, you know you can keep fighting, even if it is a fairly empty gesture at this point.

Seripa kicks at Kogo's jaw, only for the Heran to lean back, grab her by the leg, and throw her right into Azu.

As the two Saiyans collide and begin to fall from the sky, Kogo shoots a ball of energy down after them.

You quickly thrust your hand up toward the energy blast heading for the girls, unleashing a ball of energy that rockets skyward and strikes the blast from the side, causing both to detonate in a blinding flash.

Seripa recovers, letting out an enraged cry as she fires a massive wave of energy toward Kogo. The Heran woman smirks, swatting the wave off into the sky.

Seripa rushes forward, attacking even more savagely than she had mere moments ago. Kogo sirks with confidence, slowly backing up, then ducking as Azu attempts to strike her from behind.

Throwing an elbow backward and firing an energy blast forward, Kodo knocks both women away, and you see Azu plummet to the ground below, crashing and not rising.

Seripa, on the other hand, manages to pick herself back up, but her aura vanishes. Frowning, she holds her hands up toward Kogo again, gathering her energy.

Kogo rushes down, flying through Seripa's energy wave and coming out the other side. With a smirk, she punches the Saiyan woman in the gut, and you see chunks of armor go flying.

Seripa hunches over, her body trembling as she gasps in pain and shock.

I don't get it, how was that any better than them just getting blasted? They still got fucked up and did no damage to Kogo. This same thing happened before, where we pass but our situation does not improve, in some instances getting worse, like with Commander Fesla, we rolled to break free of his choke-hold and we passed, so that means we got put into the dirt with his foot on our neck, how does a pass justify making things worse? We didn't have a chance to resist or dodge or do anything it was just "Oh, you got free, here you go, in the dirt." not even a "have a 99 DC check just because I'll give you a chance". Do you actually know the difference between succeeding and failing?

You begin rushing toward Kogo, letting out a yell as you move toward the Heran with all the speed you're capable of.

She glances in your direction, giving you a smirk before firing a blast of energy right through Seripa's gut. The Saiyan is thrown off the Heran's fist, and into the air, further chunks of her armor flying everywhere and blood pouring from both her mouth and the hole in her chest as she falls onto her back with a thud.

You stop your charge, looking at the fallen Saiyan woman. You don't need a scouter to know that she's dead, and Kogo is well aware of the fact as well.

"Too late, Saiyan," she says in a mocking tone. "If only you were faster and stronger, maybe she could have survived for a few more minutes."

You feel the rage inside of yourself beginning to boil, and feel a sudden surge of energy.

Kogo chuckles at you. "Ah, there's the fire you had before. Good, I get to enjoy beating it out of you a second time."

You let out a yell, and see a yellow aura surround your body as your muscles grow, and you feel a level of power unlike anything before.

Kogo frowns, the scouter on her face alerting her to your increase in power.

"Ah, so you can manage that little powerup too, hmm?" she asks. "Alright, good. You may actually be able to challenge me."

You explode forward, closing the distance between the two of you in seconds and delivering a strong punch to the side of Kogo's head, throwing her off her feet and sending her flying through the air away from you.

You pursue, and see her quickly recover. With a yell, she fires a barrage of energy blasts toward you, and you're forced to take evasive maneuvers. Moving with great speed and skill, you avoid every last blast, quickly approaching Kogo again and slamming your fist into her gut like she did to Seripa moments ago.

The impact is enough to make Kogo spit blood, but unfortunately it doesn't put a hole in her chest. She throws a punch, striking the side of your head, but you remain unmoved, opening your fist and firing a wave of energy into her gut.

You watch as she goes flying higher into the air, screaming in rage and pain as she climbs higher and higher, until, with an enraged shriek, she fires a blast of her own into your attack, causing a detonation but also knocking your attack off course.

You watch as your wave of energy slams into the ground below, wiping out the entire city surrounding the palace, and the ship you travelled here on. What remains of the palace collapses into rubble, revealing your allies and a few Heran guards still locked in battle.

"DAMN YOU!" Kogo screams, firing a massive wave of energy down at you.

The blasts strike one another with a ferocious flash, creating a blinding light and creating a mighty torrent of wind. The two of you push against one another, and you see your own blast slowly begin to push Kogo's back.

"What? Impossible!" she shouts in disbelief, letting out another yell and putting more power into her blast.

You see her energy wave swell, and yours begins to slow.

Letting out a yell of your own, you put more energy into your attack, pushing against Kogo's blast with everything you have. The two attacks struggle for a bit before your own begins to push the other back.

Kogo's eyes widen with fear as she desperately tries to put more power into her blast. But, you have the same amount of power, and then some. In addition, this brief power up has rejuvenated your energy, giving you far more to work with than she has.

Soon, it becomes too much for the empress, and her attack gives out in the face of your own. She screams as your attack comes racing toward her, engulfing her and consuming until nothing remains but a few ashes that fall from the sky as the light from your attack fades.

You feel the burst of energy deplete, and see the yellow aura disappear. Still, you feel stronger than ever before, and full of energy.

You look down at the palace to see the other Saiyans wiping out what remains of the enemy guard. They stop, looking up at you in surprise.

You drop to the ground, searching for Azu and finding her lying in a pile of rubble a few blocks away. You fly over to her and pick her up, finding that she's alive, but in bad shape.

Still, if you don't waste too much time here, you should be able to get her back to your own ship in time to put her in a healing tank.

Putting her over your shoulder, you search for the body of Seripa, but can't seem to find it. Perhaps it was destroyed in the blast that wiped out the city.

The others begin approaching, and Rugula lets out a little whistle as she scans your power level.

"Twelve thousand, huh? Nice," she tells you.

Totapo gives a concerned frown at Azu, while Bardock and Toma look around for Seripa.

"What happened?" Bardock suddenly demands, walking over to you. "What happened to Seripa?"

She glances over her shoulder, tears streaming down her face as she sniffles miserably.

"She's dead," the girl tells you sadly, as if you aren't aware of that already. "My home's gone, and everyone who lived in it's gone."

She picks herself up, turning to face you and clenching her hands into fists. She's trying to look tough, but you can see her trembling, and not just with anger. Sure, she's clearly feeling rage, but you can see a lot more grief and fear on her face than you anger.

She's a bit different from her sister. You get the feeling she's probably somewhat powerful, but she also doesn't seem as cold and sadistic.

She might be more willing to listen.
