Welcome to Saiyan Quest. This takes place in the years Frieza controlled Planet Vegeta, as the Saiyans grow in strength and try to find a way to free themselves.

Voting will operate on a first to five system, at least for the time being.

Dialogue is allowed to be added to votes, as are actions (though I'll ignore what I consider shitposting)

During battles, options will usually have a number assigned to them. After that vote has won, players will roll a d100, and have three chances to match or beat that number.

If a 100 is rolled, it is considered a crit success (unless 100 was the number you had to match).

If a 1 is rolled, it is a crit failure, regardless of whether or not the other two rolls are high enough to succeed.

If, during a battle, players want to attempt a writein action, that is allowed, but I am the one who will assign the number to it, so use caution

You're a young male Saiyan who fought in the war with the Tuffles. You've become one of the most powerful Saiyans in the universe, but there's still potential for you to grow stronger.

Your situation is anything but promising. Though you're standing with the most powerful Sayans in the universe, save perhaps King Vegeta, the two opponents you're facing are in a league of their own.

Dodoria, the brutal pink alien who you once saw destroy a group of Saiyans in an instant, and Zarbon, the green-haired alien with a power even greater.

The two warriors eye you as if you're little more than a bug that they're about to squash, and you can't help but wonder if that's really how it's going to play out.

"Well, Daikon, it's your lucky day," Dodoria tells you. "Lord Frieza would prefer you alive, so if you give up now, you'll get to live just a little bit longer. Of course, we're still going to kill the others, but at least you'll be around for a little while."

The other Saiyans tense up, preparing themselves for a battle they'll almost certainly lose. With the full moon nearly an hour away, your chances are slim at best.

"So you have two options," Zarbon adds. "You can die to us or die to him. Honestly it will probably be less painful against us, but even if you don't surrender, we'll probably bring you back to him once we've given you sufficient punishment."

"You really think it's going to be that easy?" Bardock demands.

Dodoria smirks, activating his scouter. "Your awful cocky for someone whose power level is only about 14,000. You have scouters of your own, right? Why don't you take a look at our power levels? You haven't got a prayer."

As you and the other Saiyans prepare to face Dodoria, you really come to understand that this is probably it. Even with your powers combined and Dodoria fighting on his own, your chances of victory are almost nonexistent.

As you step forward, something inside you snaps, and a familiar yellow glow surrounds you as your power level begins to skyrocket.

The smirk leaves Dodoria's face as his scouter registers your increase in power. Even Zarbon looks rather nervous, especially as your power level continues to climb. Dodoria grunts in surprise as his scouter explodes, and he takes a nervous step back.

Zarbon's scouter does the same, and the green-haired alien looks at you with wide eyes.

"W-what?!" he demands. "Where did you get this kind of power?"

"Everyone, get out of the way!" you warn the others.

As the Saiyans move away from you, Zarbon takes to the air as well.

"Dodoria, get out of there!" he shouts.

The pink alien yell and leaps into the air as you let out a yell, sending energy out in every direction. Dodoria is caught on the very edge of the blast, but it does little more than send him tumbling through the air and disorient him.

"Why you-" he growls before opening his mouth wide and unleashing a great blast of energy.

You deflect it toward Zarbon, who tenses and holds his hands out toward it. You watch him struggle before successfully redirecting the blast up into the sky.

"What's with this one?" Dodoria asks in fear, looking down at you. "Where'd a Saiyan get this kind of power?"

"I don't know, but really, it doesn't matter," Zarbon tells him. "Sit this one out, Dodoria, I can handle him myself."

Dodoria throws a nervous glance in Zarbon's direction. "Zarbon, are you really planning to-"

"Yes," the other alien answers, cutting him off. "As much as it disgusts me, it looks like I'll have to do it."

He stares down at you angrily. "Watch closely, Saiyan. This isn't something you see every day."

As you watch, Zarbon's muscles swell, his face changes shape, and takes on a more reptilian appearance, and your scouter alerts you to his power level skyrocketing before the device explodes in your face.

"Until now you only saw the beautiful side of me," Zarbon explains in a deeper voice. "Now, with great pleasure, I introduce the beast!"

"Insolent Saiyan!" he roars, charging down toward you at incredible speed.

You rush up to meet him, channeling energy into your right leg and throwing a strong kick into his jaw, completely stopping his charge and sending him flying back. Reaching out, you catch his left ankle, and, giving a quick pull, you bring him close enough to deliver a punch to his face as you release him, sending him spinning and plummeting to the ground below, where he crashes hard and sends up a massive cloud of dust.

"Zarbon!" Dodoria calls out in surprise and unmistakable fear.

You watch Zarbon pick himself back up, staring up at you with contempt.

"You're strong, Saiyan, but you aren't stronger than me!" he insists. "No dirty Saiyan could ever be stronger than me!"

Circling around, you strike him from behind with a double-axe handle and send him plummeting toward the ground below. This time, he lands on all fours, pushing himself back up and taking to the sky, where he spins and holds his right palm toward you, using his left hand to grip his right wrist.

"TAKE THIS, SAIYAN!" he roars, unleashing a colossal blast of energy.

Moving with impressive speed, you climb over the attack, closing in on Zarbon and firing a blast into his face, disorienting him and knocking him off-balance.

You hear a snap, and Zarbon's body goes limp. Thrown away by the force of your attack, it descends in the distance as you watch, and Dodoria looks on in horror.

"L-Lord Frieza!" Dodoria cries, rushing off into the distance.

"We can't let him escape!" you shout to the others, firing a barrage of energy blasts that dart toward Dodoria as he desperately dashes toward his pod.

One or two miss, but the majority strike their intended target, and you watch with satisfaction as Dodoria is blasted right out of the sky. You can hear is enraged cries from where you float, and you begin to quickly speed toward him.

Unfortunately, as you reach Dodoria, the glow surrounding you vanishes altogether. Cursing silently, you nevertheless rush toward Dodoria, finding the alien badly injured on the ground.

You and the others land in front of him, and watch as he picks himself back up. He looks at you in rage and fear, but mostly fear.

Nervously, he takes a step back.

I feel like you're leaning too much on canon stuff as a crutch and since you are running out of canon stuff for the time period you're just throwing it all at once like a shotgun event.

Nevermind that neither Cold nor Cooler have sent anything to investigate rumors or talk of a fledgling empire on fringe space near their territory.

The result was Frieza instantly knowing our location and sending huge amounts of PTO resources at 10 Saiyans he shouldn't even care about.

Not to mention that it takes two years to fly here, which means that he's sending forces every week despite the first teams still being only a week into the two year trip.

A couple things.

One: In Bardock, Father of Goku, Frieza sent Dodoria and a team of elites to kill Bardock and his team, with the weakest of the Saiyans being at 2,000 and the leader around 10,000. Keep in mind that they were actually loyal to Frieza at the time, and Frieza had much less reason to suspect that they were actively plotting against him. In your case, there are several Saiyans with power levels over 10,000, who managed to overwhelm and kill one of his most powerful men. Frieza may be arrogant, but he isn't stupid, so he sent Zarbon and Dodoria together to prevent that scenario from happening a second time.

Two: You're far from Cold's territory, and far enough away from Cooler that he doesn't consider you an immediate threat. If anything, he sees you as a mess that Frieza should be cleaning up, and Cold is somewhat inclined to agree.

"What?! We had a deal!" Dodoria protests.

You hold your hands toward Dodoria, and a ball of light appears in front of your palms, rapidly growing in size until it's larger than you are.

As Dodoria turns and flees, you unleash a wave of energy that dwarfs Zarbon's, and the other Saiyans unleash their own attacks.

A ship travels deep in the far reaches of space, one of a design that would fill many hearts with dread upon seeing it. It's a ship belonging to a powerful space pirate, and those who are familiar with the Planet Trade Organization would instantly fear that Frieza or his family to be inside it.

But, it's owner isn't a pirate most are familiar with, though he looks similar to his more famous relatives. He's shorter than even Frieza, and is notable for his odd, chestnut shaped head.

Kuriza stares out into space, his hands clasped behind his back as he looks at the stars. He glances back as the door to his room opens, and a four-armed alien walks in, bowing.

"What do you want, Neaput?" Kuriza demands of his subordinate.

"Sir, Lord Frieza is attempting to contact you," the other alien informs him.

Kuriza's eyes shoot forward. "Put him through."

Guys guys guys. Have an idea. What if we have Kamatsuna tinker with the pods a bit. We make them slower so it would take quite a bit longer to get back to PTO space in them. Then we use the autopilot to send them back home. In addition we use the on board computer to put a message along the lines of "Mission successful. Saiyans eliminated. Scouters broken and ship damaged. Returning home." Then when the pods eventually arrive we'll have had weeks or even months before the PTO realizes it was all a trick.

A monitor lowers in front of the ship's window, and Kuriza is greeted with the frowning image of his father.

"Well, it seems I've finally gotten through to you, my boy," Frieza comments. "In the future, do answer my calls more quickly."

"Yes, father," Kuriza answers, inclining his head.

"Good, just the proper tone of obedience, my son," Frieza says with a smirk. "Now, onto the matter at hand. I'm calling to see how your work is progressing, I've received very few reports from you. In fact, I was beginning to worry that you'd gotten yourself killed."

"There isn't much to report, father," Kuriza replies, fighting to keep the bitterness from his voice. "I've conquered several worlds, but few of them have any real value."

"Ah, so you're telling me your little expedition has yielded few positive results," Frieza summarizes in a condescending tone.

"What do you expect when you send me out into the middle of nowhere?!" Kuriza snaps, resulting in a frown from his father.

"I'd be much more careful about my tone were I in your position," Frieza warns. "You were sent where you are for your weakness. It was an act of mercy for me to even allow you to live. I can revoke that mercy if you wish."

Kuriza inclines his head once again. "No, father. I apologize."

"Good, I'm so glad to see that you're capable of learning," Frieza tells him. "In any case, I grow tired of looking at your miserable face. Contact me when you have something to report."

The transmission ends, and Kuriza clenches his hands into fists. His eyes widen in surprise when he sees a new incoming transmission.

The image of another Frost Demon appears on the screen. And for once, Kuriza finds himself at a loss for words.

"Kuriza," the other frost demon greets.

"Uncle," Kuriza replies, unable to hide the surprise in his voice.

His uncle smiles. "Ah, you know me, then. I don't believe we've ever met."

"Father has spoken of you," Kuriza informs him.

"I imagine he had few good things to say," his uncle replies. "Much as he had few good things to say when speaking of you. I'm afraid Frieza's not too fond of either of us, and I imagine you're none too fond of him."

Kuriza frowns. "Why are you calling, uncle?"

"Because, I have a proposition for you."

"I can't believe it," Soko comments, looking at the scorched corpse of Dodoria that lies on the ground.

"Believe it," Bardock tells him. "Frieza's top men killed by a bunch of Saiyans."

You contact Kamatsuna and ask her to come pick you up.

"What about the pods?" Soko asks.

"They have trackers," Rugula reminds him. "We should destroy them quickly and get off this planet."

You tell her you have a better idea, and that she should wait for Kamatsuna to arrive. When she does, you ask her to send the pods back where they came from with a fake message for Frieza claiming success in their mission.

She sets to work, and soon the two pods are heading back where they came from.
