But here are just some big recommendations for the next tournament if we participate from one anon's perspective.

Fight between two of our friends? Roll behind the screen, finish it in one post. No votes to cheer for one or the other. Its pointless. Skip it.

Fight between a bad guy and a friend? Show the first one or the most important one. Aza kicking ass and showing off his new powers only needs to happen in one fight. You've shown it in two, and if Goku beats him, that was all a waste practically because hey, we don't have to fight him in the tournament.

Honestly, and this is going to be the most contested thing I say, don't randomize shit.

If Maple had all of her opponents in the actual tournament be Sugil, Tyz and Aza one after the other, while that would have been convenient as fuck, it would have also been much more entertaining. I don't want to fight BroBro for the second, third, fiftieth time. We're friends and siblings, I don't care if we can or can't beat him. I want to fight the bad guys.

Her winning the saber fight didn't strike me as off-putting as her Newtype-level "instant expert" skills at flying ships and suddenly Force Powers. Especially the Force Powers. Jacen was an entertaining villain for what he was (a whiny Vader fanboy with rage issues; Storm Troopers going NOPE.webm when they saw another of his tantrums had me and my wife in stitches). Finn was all right. Overall good movie, if flawed in some places.

Which is why it'd be interesting to explore it, I think. Try to piece together what all happened, see how the world has changed from all that happened in the time since that happened. Wrap that all up in a hunt for the Dragon Balls, and I'd say things could go well for a one-shot quest.

For example: this lady, Bulma Leigh, President of Capsule Corp, mother of Vegeta Jr., is part Saiyan. Her son, at the very least, can go Super Saiyan (and hey, maybe she can too; who else would be able to train the kid, given how distant everyone has become?). Yet she doesn't know who Pan is? How distant did everyone really become? Was it Pan's choice, or was it gradual? Things that could become rich topics to explore.

Though fear could be attributed to a lot-imagine, if you would, being tossed into a fight with this trained, egotistical, crazy ass Sithling who just brute forces his way to everything, who keeps just taking everything away. I just like the idea that this is what happens when a Jedi moves past fear, or what happens when any class may do so, and they just let a lifetime of, say, beating thieves and bullies probably a lot like this in the face with a large stick because it was that or die come to the front. Because, to be fair, that was likely how things went.

I remember some other anons talking about this exact scene in a different thread a while back.

According to them, apparently elsewhere in the expanded universe, one of the comics or books or something, this sort of thing has happened before, I think a few times to Obi-Wan. If an object is connected closely enough to the force, and that connection is strong enough, some wonky shit can start occurring. Since it was not just Luke's saber but also Anakin's saber, it's seen some serious Force shit. Rey "channeling" in that scene was less Rey using the Force and more the Force using Rey. It channeled both Skywalker pasts in to her so that she could git gud enough to survive to go on to do Jedi stuff.
