The book mostly ignores the history of the Muggle Kingdom and the Muggles of the area, instead it focuses on the Magical history of the country. It is said that the King of the Lombards, always had a council of wizard potioneers who helped him in many matters from food tasting to alchemy. The book writes that these wizards usually just posed as regular potioneers and hide most of their powers from the Muggle King, as they saw it "amusing" to spend time with him they continued to work for him.

Sometime around the 7th century a very, very dangerous and particularly big and cunning Basilisk starts creating lot of troubles for the Lombards. Destroying many villages and killing hundreds and hundreds of Muggles. The potioneer wizards call the, then renowned Balerius to deal with it. Balerius arrives finally from Britanny and after a long and costly battle he slays the beast. Then it is said that for some matter over the corpse of the Basilisk there was an arguement and the potioneer wizards convince their Muggle King to banish Balerius without even paying him for his services. Balerius leaves the kingdom but according to the legend he steals something from the monster's dead body and curses the King and his Kingdom.

The part about Lombards and Balerius finishes here and the new chapter, "The Wonders of Al-Andalus" starts. So you stop reading this book.

You head to the Velvet Room, entering the corridor, putting your Gem of Location inside the small opening on the wall, the wall responds by swinging open slowly as a door. Inside you see it just as you left it one year ago. Almost empty save for the table, some pillows on the floor and the scribbles on the wall left by your Mother and Andromeda Tonks and possibly by other students.

The ring still sits on the table as you left it. The place is not dusty but it is completely untouched as you left it. You think nobody entered here after you left.

Thankfully there is also no sign of the crown wearing ghost, Gamp, that tricked you last year. You still haven't seen him again yet...nor the goblin that was wandering around in the castle. Hogwarts does have many secrets and mysteries it seems.

The hour is almost evening and you have some time to kill before the dinner. You have still not also talked about this room to none of your friends.

The ring doesn't seem any different than the last time. It has a white ivory ring and a black marble stone on it that has an inscription of B carved on it that glows faintly on direct light with a ghastly light green. Doesn't seem to hold any magic...not to you at least.

"It looks cool. What does the B mean?" he asks. You just shake your head and say that you don't know but maybe it's the name of the wizard who owned it or something.

Then Glenn seems more serious. "Well whatever it is, be careful John. Maybe even just bring it to the Flitwick. Finding random items in Hogwarts usually leads to danger..."

But Tim seems more careless. He just says between the bites he takes out of his chicken leg, "Come on Glenn. It's just a stupid ring. What can happen? Just put it in the room and we'll see if it's worth anything. My old cousin used to sell this kind of antiques for good prices..."

A few days passes without any major incidents. You walk downstairs to the Great Hall for the breakfast before attending to your classes and join with your other Ravenclaw friends. When the morning post arrives with many owls, some of them carry the Daily Prophet. You don't care as you don't receive anything today but some people seems to be getting really excited over some news. You hear Bryan saying "Good! I can't wait for this lowlives to get what they deserve." You check and see that on the newspaper there is a picture of a blonde woman smilling to the camera and under it, it says, "

You try to focus on your studies. You spend the two days studying mostly and also reading the newspaper to see what they have written about the other victims of the Death Eaters.

When you were studying in the Ravenclaw Common Room, Juliette comes to you wearing a glasses and a pencil stuck in her hair looking serious. "Okay John. It is time! Let's do this." She continues to take out some parchments and quill.

You have promised her for this interview so you just close your book and wait for her to get ready. She casts an enchantment on the feather pen so it writes automatically what you speak now.

"I will just ask you some questions and then I will put them all together as a complete text. So all you need to do is answering them, Okay?"

You nod.

"Good. Now let's see...."

She talks about the events of the last year a bit and how the old DADA professor turned out to be a half vampire. "What did you feel in that cave when you were alone with her, John? When your friends needed your help?"

Then she takes her stuff quickly and thanks you. "Thanks a lot John! You can read the newspaper next week when we will publish it!" You ask her "So how was it?" She just smiles and says "It was good don't worry" and leaves with a wink.

Cordelia buzzez around flying and annoying the Grey Lady who tries to read a book in the Common Room.

So around the evening it is finally the time for the Duelling Club. A lot of students wait in the a really big hall to watch while some who enrolled to the club gets ready to go on the stage. You think the interest will die eventually and it is only crowded tonight because it is the first time of the Duelling Club.

Since you also joined, you also climb the stairs and walk to the stage. Next to you there is Bryan from Ravenclaw and some other students. You can see Alba too but then lose her again.

Professor Hevelius speaks with a calm voice and the whole hall gets quiet. "Thankfully our world is no longer under the threat of tyranny. But still it is always good to be prepared and duelling is an old tradition of our culture..." he continues to explain why he decided to start the club and so on. Finally it is time for students to pair with each other. First he announces that David Ickheart will be paired with Bill Weasley.

Both students walk to the front of the stage. The professor teaches them how to salute and bow. Then he instructs them only to use the disarmin charm.

Both of them do as they are taught and turn around and walk at the opposite directions. 1...2...3 EXPELLIARMUS! Bill Weasley disarms David with a quick movement of his arm. Everyone starts cheering except for Slytherins. Professor applauds the nice display of sportsmanship and then announces the next pair.

This goes on and on like this until everyone disarms someone and the today's session finishes. After the class you see the Professor leaving the hall with a copy of the Daily Prophet firmly hold in his hand and you remember tomorrow is the time for the article. You return to your Ravenclaw tower with your friends.

Tim and Glenn are acting the scene of you disarming Rachel in the dorm room. "It was very cool man!" Tim says. Seems you are not so bad at duelling after all.

The next day you wake up a bit more early than usual and head to the Great Hall, after just eating a little you wait for the first copies of the Prophet to arrive. Then you see Anya running out of the Hall and you think you saw her crying.
